El Mangroove, Autograph Collection

We visited this resort in the beginning of Sept 2025. Isaac greeted us and walked us around the property to show us the different pools and around the property which was a nice touch. Every single staff member was above and beyond in customer service. Truly everyone wanted to be on a first name basis with their guests. Eloisa was so gracious to explain each drink at the bar and Orlando and Jonathan gave personal an attentive service. Dinner and drinks menu were definitely one of a kind. The food was nothing less than Spectacular! We did a whale watching tour and Jose, David and Martin went the next level to make sure we were taken care of and found whales! Yes, we saw a Humpback mom and her babies on the tour in the first 10 minutes! Amazing! The only downsides to this resort is eating is all outdoors, minimum evening entertainment (guitarist) to maybe none. Other than that, I have zero complaints about this resort. It is truly one of a kind resort, and I highly recommend it if you are looking for true relaxation with outstanding food and service!

I finished up a 10 day Costa Rican adventure vacation at El Mangroove. Our group was supposed to stay our 2 final nights at the hotel. I loved this resort so much I extended my trip by 2 nights so I could experience more of it. I highly recommend utilizing the spa, especially their deep tissue massage. The staff, food, rooms, views...all top notch. One of the other members of the travel group I was with decided to stay an extra night as well. We booked a deep sea fishing trip and landed a black tuna. To my surprise we were able to take it back to the resort where (for a very small fee) the restaurant at the resort turned our fresh catch into an expertly prepared dinner. And it was phenomenal! I will very likely be visiting the resort again in a little over a year, when I take my son to Costa Rica for a graduation gift.

We spent two amazing weeks at El Mangroove, and everything about our stay was perfect. The hotel has a beautiful design that blends perfectly with nature, surrounded by trees, ocean views, and plenty of wildlife. The staff were always warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. Breakfast was delicious every morning, with lots of local fruits and fresh options, and the restaurant food was excellent throughout our stay. The pool area was relaxing and never crowded, and the beach was calm and great for swimming or watching the sunset. Our room was spacious, modern, and always spotless thanks to the housekeeping team. It truly felt like a little paradise.||We also reached out to Gabriel from nomadtourscr, who helped us organize a few adventures outside the hotel. We went on a Jet Ski tour around the Papagayo area and a rainforest trip where we saw monkeys, sloths, and some playful white-nosed coatis. Everything was perfectly planned, and our guide made the experience fun and informative.||If you’re looking to combine relaxation with a bit of adventure, we highly recommend both El Mangroove and Nomad, we’re already planning to come back!

Adorable staff , specially Antonio, he is such a sweet person. His guest service it is stunning! I hope every check in you guys will have the fortune to have Antonio to be there!|We met Jose the manager, very nice too!|Great service everywhere. |At the pool, Kervain, Dixie and all the great people who works in this beautiful place.|The cabanas at the pool are beautiful, the chairs at the green area and pool are great.||1000000 % happy with the experience that my Beautiful Mom doña Maya , my brother Andrés and I had there .||Everyone is super friendly and respectful. ||The food was sooooo delicious.|Must try guacamole with octopus, Maremoto ceviche, Seafood rice, rice noodles with shrimp. Breakfast was amazing too. ||Rooms are lovely and great decoration. We love the fact they respect nature in all ways. ||Ladies at the FD were very nice and their dresses very cute. Very different and fresh uniform.||Juan Carlos the bell boy very polite and sweet.||I super highly recommend El Magroove if you want a great vacation .||We are so blessed for hav had a short bur unforgattable vacation at this hotel.||Thanks so much

This hotel was a beautiful surprise! We left the last 2 nights of our trip open-ended, and visited Mangroove after seeing another property nearby. It was perfect. After a rustic few days, Mangroove provided a perfect sanctuary close to the airport for our trip's end. Their base suite is wonderful with a hammock natural air half and comfy king air conditioned half. The pools are pristine. Beach isn't the draw, here, but plenty of water sports are available. Dinner was ok, drinks were great. Nice people and a peaceful nights sleep await you. The complimentary yoga was confusing to locate, but a wonderful flow.

El Mangroove and the staff were fantastic. The property was immaculate and exactly what we needed for our 20th anniversary. All levels of service; the spa, restaurant, housekeeping and facilities maintenance, valets, and the hospitality team were first class. Special thanks to Pablo (Concierge Agent) for his exceptional attention and service to us. He and the team made our trip one we will always remember fondly. We look forward to being back in mangroves soon!

We stayed recently for a big wedding. The Hotel is top notch from the clean beautiful spacious rooms to the wonderful staff. Everything was perfect. The location is right on the beach, Guanacaste Costa Rica is so tropical and beautiful!! Back to the staff the pool/cabana staff went above and beyond for us every day. The Breakfast Buffet was massive and so fresh and dinner at night was equally as good. I can’t wait to go back to the lush tropical paradise.

This is an incredible resort. Quick twenty minute drive from the airport. Staff is very friendly. Rooms are superb, love the hammock! The adults only pool is pure relaxation. The poolside service is excellent, too. The beach is serene and a great three mile run from side to side. Breakfast buffet was top notch! Beautiful hotel grounds. Nice gym, small, but enough to get a workout in. 10/10, can’t wait for my next visit!
