This was an okay hotel. It was clean and comfortable, with free water. The breakfast wasn't that great with no made to order options. Eggs tasted like the dehydrated kind. We had the breakfast and dinner option. Husband ordered trout and received Salmon. We recommend you skip the dinner and head towards one of the cafes outside of the hotel. The dinner at the hotel was expensive and not very good. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Stayed one night. The room was small and clean, and the shower was amazing. The room was on the cold side, and I was glad of the dressing gown. We had dinner and breakfast included. Both meals were nice. My main meal was bought out before the starter. They took it back and gave me my starter. However, the main meal had been reheated.

When we checked in, we were told our room would be ready by 2 PM, but it wasn’t available until we returned from Machu Picchu. We had to change in the hotel bathroom.
Ordered a drink and specifically requested it to be mild, but it came overly spiced. Asked for a replacement, and instead, five staff members got involved, trying to charge us anyway.
Dinner was mediocre—better to eat elsewhere. Greenhouse cafe next door is a better option.

Lovely hotel and great staff. The complimentary upgrade for our honeymoon was such a lovely touch and we very much appreciated it. Breakfast and dinner was great as well!

A very modern hotel in the middle of this stepping stone to Machu Pichu. Comfortable but compact. It’s comfortable enough, food is good and handy for local amenities. They have a sister hotel the other side of town with magnificent gardens and birdlife. Overall it’s OK but unremarkable.

This hotel is too loud to enjoy. The main bar plays dance music all day until midnight and it can be heard clearly in the rooms. There were very few customers in the bar and the hotel might actually do better business in its bar if it played music that was better suited to its clientele. There is also little soundproofing and you can hear EVERYTHING from other rooms.||The windows in the rooms did not close properly and bugs got in.||On the plus side, the main restaurant was tasty and the rooms were pretty comfortable.

Excellent staff, location, and amenities! We loved the front desk, bar, and dining staff. They were very patient with our "Spanglish" and welcoming. We are giving a 4 rating only because of the price and how that compares to other hotels we've stayed at in Peru (luke-warm water in the showers, low water pressure, little space).

We stayed at El Mapi for 3 nights in early November 2024. We had a double room with a sitting area in building 2. The hotel was beautiful and the room was well appointed and, most of all, relaxing. Our stay included breakfast and dinner so we ate at the hotel several times. The food was decent and there was enough variety to keep it fun for a few days. The staff at the hotel were incredibly helpful. We booked our Machu Picchu tour through the hotel and had our own personal tour guide who accompanied us the entire way and managed all the tickets etc. His name was Ronald and he was fantastic. We learned so much and also appreciate that he was willing to go at our pace. I cannot imagine a better experience. If you are able to book Ronald I highly recommend it. We also took an Orchid Walk tour through the hotel, it was amazing. What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. The last thing we did at the hotel was visit the spa. My mom and I had facials and it was the most relaxing luxurious experience. Perfect way to end our trip. From what we saw over the three days in this small pueblo town, El Mapi is by far the most luxurious hotel and even better, they find a way to pair that luxury with a feeling of home and relaxation. My last comment is that we were very impressed with the Inkaterra corps' commitment to sustainability. It was evident in every aspect of the hotel
