Amazing food and service! Definitely stop here if you are in the area. We only ate diner once while in the area and I feel like we hit a gold mine! All ingredients were fresh, food came out quickly. Server was very attentive. Food was really amazing and there was so much of it! The fried cheesecake was really amazing!

This place is so good! We went once when we were staying in the area and it was great. This time we were just passing through this time, but stopped for lunch. We are so happy we decided to stop again! It was amazing! We were able to get patio seating again. The staff was very friendly. There was a lot of really delicious looking meals that I hope to come back and try. This time I had a margarita flight and the lettuce shrimp tacos. My meal had a lot of shrimp and a ton of avocado. It was amazing and I would happily choose this healthy option again and again! Everyone in our party of 6 was very happy with their orders.

Super fast service. We didn’t have to wait to get seated during dinner time even-though they’re busy. This place reminds me of Cheesecake Factory. Fast service, large menu, and tasty food. It only took a little over 5 mins for them to deliver our food after we placed the order. We got steak fajitas and steak burrito and they’re good!

Delicious, wholesome Mexican comfort food that tastes like a warm place to call home. Professional and friendly service from our waitress, Irene, made it even more inviting. Perfect place to grab a ribeye steak or fajitas and seafood also! Their menu offers fried ice cream and churros too. Overall 5 stars and above! Also love the lively Mexican Banda music playing. It feels like a celebration or my birthday just being here!

All staff was very friendly and attentive. I ordered special order food cooked particularly without butter or saturated fats. I ordered 2 entrees and guacamole and they cooked everything just as I asked! Food was delicious and healthy for my heart! 😍🥰 I would definitely recommend and go back again!

Staying at a hotel and needed a place for dinner. Staff was very friendly, the food was delicious! I ordered the Tropical Fajitas and they were fantastic. The size was way more than I could eat and the grilled pineapple on it was soo good!!

I used to live in San Diego and would go down to Mexico and eat. This place is legit! Our waiter barely spoke English. Perfect! Their margarita was very good! I ordered the fajitas and the wife ordered chicken nachos and both were on point! Their regular salsa was ok. I asked for hotter salsa abcs what they brought out was outstanding with a bit of heat. I grow and eat super hots and that serving salsa was very tasty and favorable. Not too hot either. If I lived nearby o would become a regular!

Got takeout on our way to the Airbnb before Mammoth Cave NP. So fast! Very affordable and tons of food- ordered fajitas for 2 and a quesadilla and 4 adults and 4 kids had plenty! Fajita steak was ok but chicken was great. Loved the "cheese dip" and salsa. Wish we'd asked for more chips!

Great service very nice server gave us chips right after we finished our first batch great salsa great cheese dip atmosphere was great. Many people could tell it was very, very good. My parents said food very good. My food is very good and I got fish tacos.

Very popular local Mexican joint in Cave City next to our Hampton Inn. Hotel lady recommended it and told me it's the only place that serves alcohol inside a restaurant. Nuff said after a 2 hour Mammoth Cave Domes and Dripstones tour w my recently diagnosed ASD son being cranky and disrespectful. Ordered a top shelf margarita and the server got my drift immediately. Love the menu has a kids section and these prices are so reasonable compared to Bay Area CA prices. We got FREE chips and salsa too. Can't remember the last time we got free chips and salsa TBH. Ordered a kids grilled steak plate and a combination steak and chicken fajita plate. Both were delicious, as was the margarita. Love the decor with the waterfall with the pink lights inside also.

We visited Mammoth Cave and were hungry for a meal. El Mazatlan was excellent!!! All the food was delicious and totally hit the spot!! My husband and I shared the fajitas (steak, chicken and shrimp) and our kids both got steak quesadillas. The food came out very fast and was fresh and full of flavor. The staff was all very kind and attentive. We were very pleased with everything!!

Went here for a meal between cave tours at Mammoth. Was seated quickly and brought water very fast. You get chips and salsa as a free starter-- and I was able to get extra salsa for no extra cost. I ordered Octopus Zarandeado. Felt like it was a bit risky to order octopus since KY is not near the ocean-- and people often don't cook it well. I was very happy with the order. It came out quickly-- the octopus was seasoned well and perfectly cooked-- delicious. The rice and cooked veggies were good too. The side salad was nice veggies-- tomatoes, sliced carrots, cucs and lettuce-- but no dressing. I got full on the rest of the meal-- and likely could've gotten dressing but I had no need for it. Servers all work quickly and are very attentive.

We visited this restaurant as tourists visiting Mammoth Cave National Park. It is probably one of the best authentic Mexican restaurants I have ever had! The service was beyond exceptional, we did not have to ask for anything, the server was on point! The food was so savory and delicious! The ambiance was perfect! You can tell there was a lot of love put into this place (even the chairs was handmade!). I highly recommend this place! Can't wait to come back when I'm visiting again!

First time here. We were greeted and seated promptly. Dining room was very clean and decorated nicely. Cool tables and chairs. Our server was very pleasant and our order came out quickly. We had the beef tacos, enchiladas, and tostadas with rice. Everything was served hot and tasted fresh. Best option in this area is you don't want fast food.

Had to stay overnight for business at the Cave City exit. Was pleasantly surprised to have an option besides a chain restaurant. Like most Mexican restaurants of this size, they have an extensive menu with just about anything you would want from this cuisine. Service was great and the ambience was lively. I bet it's packed on the weekends!

This is the absolute best restaurant anywhere near Cave City!! We ate here twice on a recent trip to Mammoth Cave national Park. We miss this kind of quality Mexican food where we live in Tampa. everything was fresh and delicious. You must try the chicken fajita quesadilla and the cheese dip and salsa are phenomenal. You also cannot miss the house brewed jamaica. If we come back to Cave city or anywhere in the region, we will definitely be eating here.

The food is really delicious and fresh. We got the vegan chimichanga and the Ollita. The ambiance is very low key and laid back at the outside seating. The service was a very good and the staff anticipated our needs. I will be back when in the area.

I don't usually take the time to review, but this restaurant is worth it. I can't fault them for anything. Prompt and attentive service, excellent house Margarita and excellent food (had quesadilla supreme and taco salad). Thank you for a beautiful evening.

We were in town for a couple of days and love Mexican food so we tried El Mazatlan. Really good food and service. Authentic in that everyone employed is Mexican and the menu has recognizable dishes and some not. Love that ! If you want an appetizer , don't order your entree right away because your entree will be delivered in literally 120-180 seconds. Not that that's a problem but if you need some time on your appetizer wait to order your main meal Happy Hour is 5-8. Again the service was super nice. We had a slight problem on our bill and Renaldo fixed it without a problem. Love it. Highly recommend this place !!

I made the mistake of assuming that if they had a seafood molcajete on the menu that it would be worth eating. It came out in a volcano bowl but it was not a soup/stew and the food was not simmering. It seemed like it was cooked in a skillet and dumped into the volcano bowl. It was super greasy. My wife had enchiladas that were not very good. Heavy use of shredded cheese and refried beans. If this restaurant were in a big city it would be a 1-2 star but in Cave City I guess it's a four. I'm not saying don't eat here but maybe pick the most basic menu items like nachos or tacos.

The food is fabulous, were from Phoenix Az. Have had delicious authentic Mexican food. Was so impressed how great the food is here. Highly recommend.

When you're doing a road trip and want something other than fast food but also need an outdoor space to accommodate your doggy - this would be a good place to go. I didn't order any alcohol, because from the sound of it, it was definitely a pre-mix sort of situation. We got the following: El Amigo Special A chimichanga, cheese quesadilla and crisp tortilla shell filled with ground beef, lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream and cheese I decided to get this because I wanted something plain and it was good, but I wasn't mind blown and to be fair, I didn't go crazy and ordered something that would have been a better dish to rate. Fajitas - The lunch price was freaking amazing. I forget what I wanted to call out here but I remember their version looked different than other places I had fajitas. I would come back, because it's so cheap and they have a nice outdoor area and restrooms were clean.

Stopped here on the way home after visiting Mammoth Caves. I'm sure glad we did. The service was super quick and the food was hot and delicious. Be sure to try the guac! Wow! Excellent is not enough to describe it! I got the carnitas and was not disappointed- I especially liked the grilled zucchini! Yum! We sat inside in the immaculate dining area, but if the weather would've been nicer I would've chosen the patio. Maybe next time!

This place was so crowded when we went! Not a lot to choose from around the city so it makes sense. The salsas were really good and different! I asked and apparently there's a little orange juice in them. Super delicious! We also got a pitcher of margaritas and they were definitely not worth the money. Super sweet with barely any tequila in them. The food was quick but not hot. It's your typical Mexican restaurant. It was good after hiking all day but I definitely wouldn't recommend drinking here!

Haven't had good Mexican food in awhile. This place was just what we needed. The place was clean inside and our table was clean. We didn't have to wait long for drinks and service was great. We ordered our food and it came out fast!!! All the kids liked their food and the wife really liked hers. Mine was good but the beef didn't have alot of flavor. We all really liked the salsa you get with the chips. If we're in the area again we will stop by.

Fun time here tonight - very friendly and FAST service with delicious food. We ordered the chicken fajita burrito, the chimichanga and a side of guacamole, all which came out in roughly 3-5 minutes, SPEEDY! Everything was hot and fresh and our drinks were never left empty. Would recommend!

Not only is the atmosphere wonderful but our food was delicious!!! We stopped for lunch & he fajita burrito was the Best burrito my husband ever had (and he's eaten tons). The taquito carnitas were excellent and all the accompaniments and chips were fresh! The wait staff was very friendly. Highly recommend this great place!

Service was excellent- very kind and fast! I was surprised when they came out so quickly with the food. The chori chicken was well seasoned, had great flavor, and was tender. The veggie fajitas were hot off the grill, literally, and also nicely spiced. We even ordered dessert to go because we had no space because of the large portions. The weather was great so we sat out on the back patio. Would highly recommend.

We decided to go with Mexican food after touring Mammoth Cave. I ordered the Shrimp taco lettuce wrap and was pleased with the portions and freshness. My only suggestion would be add a little spice to the shrimp when cooking. I tried my husbands Chili Relleno which was very flavorful with a bite of heat from the pepper. Service was pleasant and efficient, food arrived quickly and warm. If we weren't traveling through we'd revisit.

Wow was this place good. We came to Cave City to go to Dinosaur World and Mammoth Cave, and stayed at the Jellystone campground. This was close to them. It was fantastic! Such quick, friendly, helpful service. We had out food within minutes of ordering. Which was lucky because we were starving. It was all amazing! Guacomole- great veggie fajitas- fantastic

The staff here aa a lot of pep in there step. I have never seen an entire staff work so hard. The food is also amazing and came out within 5 minutes of ordering. The whole experience was fantastic

The service was great, the food was delicious and it was out extremely fast. We all have the chips and salsa two thumbs up. A very enjoyable meal and high recommendation. We had the California burrito, faltas and burrito real. All were very delicious.

We were visiting Mammoth Cave national Park for a few days, and stay at Cave City, which is only 15 minutes outside of the park. This was the only highly recommended restaurant in cave city and it was great!! So great, we ate here twice on back to back dinners.

Went here because the reviews were good but it was probably the worst mexican food i've ever had. The meat was tough and cold. The tortillas weren't even cooked. The salsa was terrible. The service was terrible. Definitely don't recommend for out of towners looking for some good food while you travel.

Great food, fast service, highly recommend. Went with a family group of 10 adults and kids, everyone enjoyed their meals. So glad we tried this place, especially since it doesn't look like much from the road. But when we walked in it was like stepping into Mexico. The menu is expansive with many tempting options. I chose the chipotle fajitas and they were great. Service is prompt - in fact the food runners literally jog the food out of the kitchen. If you're in Cave City, try this place - especially instead of one of the old familiar fast food joints in town.

Wow! In town to visit the caves, and stopped in for dinner here. The service was super quick and very attentive, paired with excellent food, and great atmosphere, I wouldn't pass this place up!

We just got to town and did what we always do: check yelp for local restaurants. This one had some nice reviews so we figured we'd give it a try. The place is pretty nice and there's even a wall waterfall of sorts. They serve the lunch menu until 3:00 so we made it in time for some cheaper eats. I had the huevos rancheros for $8.99 and hubs had fajitas for less than $10. He got his guacamole and pico on the side so I could have it. The food was plentiful and I'm taking home a second meal. No complaints!

Started with chips / salsa - salsa is weak sauce meh. Chips are quality. Top shelf Margarita saved the day. Cool stemware alfor the seriously huge drink. Fam loved the chicken grilled shrimp, pollo chorizo and fajita carnitas Great service / Great visit.

I found this after trying to go to Cracker Barrel where the wait was too long. I was able to be seated right away inside. My group was given chips and salsa almost immediately. I then ordered the lunch special of an enchilada with rice and beans. It was filling and very inexpensive. The perfect stop before a tour at Mammoth Cave.

Ate here based on all the positive reviews. Food was excellent as well as the service. I ordered the chicken fajitas. This had t be the fastest I've ever received an order at a restaurant that wasn't fast food. I'd say within 5 minutes of ordering they were bringing my plate. At first I thought it was a mistake but I was wrong it was my order! The fajitas were colorful, favorable and sizzling. They were not spicy but tasted great. The refried beans had a great taste that I cannot describe but my thoughts were that this was the best southern cooking combined with Mexican to make a delicious dish. My Spanish rice was also tasty with a citrusy tang to it. My only complaint is that the salsa seemed little more than a tomato purée and my bottled beer was not cold when I got it. I wouldn't Let that deter me from going back.
