El Mirador de Almanzor

Disappointed we only stayed for 1 night, the hotel is located in an historic village that has not changed much over the year. The room had a great view over the ancient roof tops and of the remains of the castle tower, it was very clean, comfortable and well fitted out. ||||The meal we had in the hotel restaurant was delicious and at a value for money price which is surprising considering there is no other choice of location, breakfast was very good too, much of the products used were home made or locally sauced. The staff were very very friendly.||||This is a great place, love to stop here again.

We arrived at the hotel at the beginning of the village as instructed and David led us up to our hotel at the top end of the village. We parked the car and then walked the few yards to this beautiful old building. In through the very very old door and what a surprise inside. Just look at the video on the website. It really is a treat, all beautifully renovated in the old style of many years ago, one of the most beautiful hotels we have stayed in. Our room was not large but had dual aspect windows over the valley and the castle. An adequate modern bathroom, all very clean. We watched the swallows dipping and diving over the valley for ages. The meal at the hotel was a little disappointing, not much selection on the menu but that was the only slight negative of the whole stay. It is a delight to wander around the cobbled streets of the old village which is high up and has some stunning views over the plains from the top. We would love to return one day.

Once we were able to locate the hotel and someone to let us in, the stay was wonderful. We are from the States and were not sure what to expect in a rural hotel. We were pleasantly surprised and the owners were a delight to deal with. We experience beautiful views and good food.

Un sitio alucinante con unas vistas espectaculares. El interior, de madera, tiene un diseño muy de la época.. El dueño, muy amable, se portó muy bien con nosotros. Pudimos meter las 7 bicis en el salón, a resguardo donde cargamos las baterías de alguna de ellas.

Wifi. Habitación pequeña. Baño minimo. Ducha diminuta ideal para niñ@s, una persona adulta apenas puede moverse dentro. No hay ningún tipo de insonorización, se oye todo, todo, todo de las habitaciones contiguas como si estuvieran en la tuya. Alguna toalla sirve para la exfoliación por falta de suavizante. TV con mala sintonización de canales de TV, aparentemente por pica cobertura de antena. Precio competitivo.

Muy agradecidos con su hospitalidad. Gracias por ponernos el fútbol mientras cenábamos. Por cierto la hogaza de pan buenísima. En cuanto a las instalaciones muy limpias y cómoda la cama. Un encanto de lugar. Muchas gracias por todo, feliz semana
