El Misti Hostel Rio - Copacabana

Loved the place and the people in the front desk, they're super friendly and the hostel has a super family-friendly vibe. The only thing that I didn't like too much was that the female room felt like a bunker, felt a bit claustrophobic. The price is good for the room and amenities. Would definitely stay again, also... IS CLOSE TO EVERYTHING, is the perfect location.

Good value travelers hostel. It is small but the rooms are clean and comfortable. Well equipped kitchen. The warmest staff who are always happy to help. Good location, close to the nightly activities, as well as the beach. Thank you very much for an incredible experience . Would definitely go back.

Great location, prices are good and breakfast its already included in the price. Toilets and rooms were kept clean 24 hours. Kitchen is well equipped. Staff is all the time trying to give you the best advices. Beaches are only 5 minutes walking.

Reception staff are great, very helpful and all speak English exceptionally. Location is also amazing, directly across from a Metro station and a 5 minute walk from the beach. Before you book, make sure you know that this is pretty strictly a "party" hostel. Loud noise until 1am (at least), people stumbling into your room at all hours of the night and sleeping until the next night in some cases. Not a very clean hostel, despite the cleaning staff seemingly working round the clock (and blocking off the kitchen for large amounts of time) there still were cockroaches in every room. Some of the cleaning staff themselves were also very loud and rude. Edit: so 10 months have gone by on this same trip and I can hands down say that this is the worst hostel I have ever been in. Book with caution.

I have visited 4 other hostels in Rio before I get to El Misti hostel in Copacabana. The atmosphere was terrific! I am traveling solo so I wanted to find a hostel where I can meet people and do activities. Special thanks to João who has been a great help and such a positive person with his energy. He was the main reason that my friends and I went back to the same hostel when we visited Rio again.

Amazing location, friendly staff and huge breakfast- el Misti is without a doubt one of the best places to stay in Rio. Spacious kitchen for cooking and staff always on call. I found a great mix of vibes for those seeking a fun night out in Rio or wanting to curl up in the kitchen and play guitar, I will definitely be going back to el Misti!

Excellent hostel !! I loved everything about that place, finally a place with a soul ! You will find a brazilian safe place and a great melting pot, really interesting. Here with an amazing working staff I really enjoyed my time. I hope you will meet Lele, João and Lucas ! I would DEFINITELY go back to Misti. Thank you for the experience.

It's a good place to stay and save a lot of money. All the people there are super friendly and I would go back if they do a quick fix to the bathroom.
