El Nido COCO RESORT

Absolutely loved this hotel! We had a great bungalow by the beach which was clean and spacious. The pool area was so relaxing. The restaurant service was amazing, breakfast that was included you could pick your main but also included some buffet items with variety of lunch/dinner items. Liked the location away from the busy town but still lots around. Tricycle ride to the main town is only 100 pesos.

Had a very good experience overall. Their breakfast was good, and the room was spacious with a working hot and cold shower. However, the room we got had rats in the ceiling, and you could hear them running at times, which was quite noisy and distracting. They also host parties and showcase Filipino culture to their guests by inviting dance troupes to perform folk dances, which was a nice touch. We tried their spa as well, and it was good.

The property is small and although not right in the beach it is only. ashore walk through the garden and past a few bungalows to the beach. Not sealt a swimable beach, a bit muddy during low tide. The staff were friendly enough but the toilet continues to have problems with flushing so I assume that either the sceptic tank has not been cleaned out for a long time or there is a plumbing problem, either way we solved the problem by putting sufficient water in the plast ic trash can and would use this to flush through after a big message, all in all not nice when staying two nights, and seeing that management did not do anything about this ( as reported in an earlier review). The bar busy the beach is uninspir8ng, no wonder all guests go nextdoor for happy hour drinks! Suggest to take the pool away and put a nice bar area so guest can enjoy sunset with a great bartender and incredible service then you could be way ahead. The owner manager should sit there every day and talk to guests to find out why guests don’t sit there and fix the problem, not rocket science. Breakfast service team and garden pool bar team zaling a good job.

We fell in love with our lil cottage at Coco Resort. It was so sad to leave this beautiful, peaceful place. The pool was perfect after a long hot day touring the islands. Food was great and everyone working there was extremely nice and helpful. Loved the location because it’s a quieter part of town (Corong Corong Beach) but still surrounded by several good restaurants. If you can afford it, book the Deluxe Villas and you won’t be disappointed. I’d go back here again in a heartbeat.

Got nothing but good words to say about our stay here! The room was exactly as advertised online. Beyond the cozy ambiance and complete set of essentials, what I truly appreciated was how clean and fresh the sheets were—a huge plus for someone like me with sensitive skin prone to contact dermatitis. The bathroom was also spacious and spotless, which made the stay even more comfortable. The service was superb! The staff went above and beyond. Quick to respond, genuinely accommodating, and always pleasant to communicate with. And that beach view? Absolutely beautiful. Lastly, the food… God, it was so good! Kudos to the entire team for giving us an experience truly worth every penny :)

Stayed here in early January so maybe this was also related to the time of year, however this stay was overall disappointing and overpriced for the money we paid. The grounds were beautiful, close to a lot of restaurants and the massages were very nice. As some have mentioned the rooms were lacking in amenities. There were three people in our room and only two towels, no hand towels or extra big towels. The doors would not close all the way (the sliding doors) which attracted mosquitos inside. There was no hand soap and we were advised to use the body wash in the shower. We also had trouble getting connected to the WiFi and were not provided the codes or information upon check in. Overall staff were friendly but not particularly helpful or proactive when problems were brought up. The same person who checked us in noted we had three people in our room but seemed surprised when we came back and asked for more towels to accommodate this. The food and drinks were good but wait times were long for either.

Strategic location between the city center & the beaches of El Nido with a relaxing spot for sunset including a bar on the beach side. There is a variety of good restaurants nearby, the hotel restaurant isn’t too bad, the breakfast is nice but the choice is limited & service is very long. The garden is luxurious & the swimming pool is big enough for the resort’s size. The bengalows are spacious but the level of equipment is close to a 2 stars hotel, only 1 plug working, no bed lights for night reading, phone to call reception inoperant, evacuations often stuck with stincky smells. The main issue we had was related to the rats running into the roof & trying to come inside the room at night since a « trash zone » highly humid is present at the backside of the resort (see photo), this led to very bad sleep at night. The last issue we encoutered was related to a private boat tour booked 2 days in advance with the reception. The evening before the tour we received a message to let us know that the price had increase by 30% & the boat was secured for the next morning, we therefore cancelled the tour & had to change our activity schedule last minute since all tours in city were fully booked. We finally found similar private tour 2000 peso cheaper & scooter rental for 450/day next door instead of 600 at the hotel. Overall, our worst accommodation during our 3 weekend trip, highly disappointing for the price.

We stayed as a family with three children and were given a hotel room right next to the water and the bar (a huge disadvantage at this hotel). Our terrace was facing a wall, and there was practically a boat placed right up against it. When we asked if this was reasonable, the hotel simply did not care. In addition, the food was absolutely terrible. We stayed there from November 17th to 19th. 2025
