Disappointing Stay – Overpriced & Poor Service
We stayed at El Nido COCO Resort for two nights at 40,000 pesos (650€), and it was far from what we expected for the price.
Poor Service & Cleanliness Issues
No hand soap provided in the room.
Despite plenty of staff around, many seemed idle, more focused on their phones than assisting guests.
At the beach bar, despite five waiters, I had to wait 20 minutes for a bottled beer while they ate, chatted, or used their phones.
Cleaning service was unacceptable – we had to request three times for our room to be cleaned due to dejections found inside the room, on the exterior mattress, and even on the pillowcase, the private mini pool was full of sand and hasn't been clean even if we requested it.
Lack of Security & Privacy
No security guard at the entrance, allowing non-guests to pass through the resort after boat trips, which is concerning for safety and privacy.
Do not leave belongings outside your bungalow as there is no control over who enters the property.
Some Positives, But Not Enough
Beautiful and well-maintained garden.
Good breakfast.
However, the main swimming pool was not properly cleaned, with dead leaves left around all day.
Final Verdict: Not Worth It
This resort has the potential to be a great place, but poor service, lack of cleanliness, and overpriced rates make it a terrible value for money. We didn’t even try the restaurant because we didn’t want to spend any more money here.
Better options are available in El Nido at much lower prices. Avoid this place unless they change their management and service philosophy.
