We started with the stuffed artichoke hearts which are delicious! I had the scallops with gnocchi and it was one of the best meals of my life! We finished with dessert a chocolate cake, and cream brûlée both were done to perfection. I will definitely be back.

This Santa Fe institution has been one of our local go-tos for well over 20 years. We loved it before its hiatus several years ago and we love it even more in its reincarnation. The main dining room has always been inviting and cozy, especially in the winter with a fire burning, but we prefer one of the bar booths or the long bar itself. But in nice weather we usually enjoy the spacious back portal (that’s Santa Fe speak for covered patio), which, yes, has heaters for cool nights. The open kitchen has a wood burning grill that I would love to have at home, so the air smelled wonderfully of woodsmoke and grilling food as we cruised past the bar to the a 4-top on the portal. The food (which leans toward Italian) and service are always excellent. I especially like the Cacio e Pepe and dishes from the wood-fired grill, which you can find on the Embers & Ash part of the menu. (Suggestion: add a wood-fired steak to the menu, maybe rotating cuts, in addition to the tenderloin, as a nightly special). We like to take out-of-town visitors here so they get a taste of Santa Fe away from downtown. We’ll be back soon.

I think the history of this place was interesting , the food was good. But I have to say as compared to the other restaurants in the area with the price point per plate it was not as good. When choosing how much I'd like to to pay for my meal and another place I will choose to elsewhere. I would like to try the sushi to determine that side of the restaurants quality.

Great experience here. Food was stellar and service was top notch. Our server, Miguel, was attentive, kind, and knowledgeable. To be honest I thought the whole “open flame fire-grilled” concept was a bit of a gimmick, but to be honest, it showed in the food, and was a huge addition to the wonderful flavor profiles. The artichokes were a must. The cocktails were also great. The ribeye was one of the best I’ve ever had. Perfect fat rendering, and the char on the meat was absolutely superb. My only note is that the Caesar Salad was a bit bland, could use more seasoning in the dressing, and perhaps would recommend a dash of black pepper upon serving. Big recommend.

Google
We went with the pre-opera menu and loved everything. Service was phenomenal, drinks were perfectly crafted and the food was great. Parking was a little weird but it all worked out. Highly recommend reservations.

Google
I have no idea if the food is good. My entire party had finished their meal 20 minutes before, and there was no sign of my food coming any time soon, so I told them to just forget bringing mine so I could go home and eat some leftovers from another place. We were there an hour and a half, and I left hungry.

Google
the food at this place is amazing. i came here with my mom and stepdad for a birthday dinner. we had the empanadas and butternut learn soup for our starters. both were great. for my main, i had the short rib ragu with pappardelle. also great! the service is attentive, and the decor and environment are also charming and cozy. i highly recommend this place.

Our last visit was the fifth time there. The first couple of times we had excellent meals. Since then we've noted a decline in food quality, enough so that we'll look for other options next time we want a nice night out.

Yelp
We love Su Nido. Have been several times. The sushi was great. Sake was great. Our server was great. Looking forward to going back soon. Only issue was it was a little cold in the room. But I'm always cold.

Yelp
Wow! Just Wow! Everything was amazing last night! We were kindly greeted by the main boss John Paul, then our waiter Martin (great guy). Alex and Sarah, the Sushi Chefs were outstanding, and willing to answer all of our questions. The food was amazing, especially the Sushi (The food on the plates was absolutely beautiful)! We were all so happy to find a great Sushi place! I absolutely loved the coffee (had to throw that in)! I was also very happy with the relaxed, serene atmosphere (very soft, warm colors)! When we were getting up to leave the Chefs, the waiter, and other staff members thanked us, and wished us a good evening. I appreciate every bit of our experience at El Nido and Su Sushi, and will not only be telling others about it, but will be returning very soon! Thank you to all responsible for making this a lovely evening.

Yelp
Had my birthday dinner and admittedly ONE of the best meals I have ever had! Started with the beet salad and had the most incredible Branzino ever! By far, the best meal I ever had in Santa Fe! Cocktails and service were SPOT on! Make a reservation for a booth in the. Bar, seems to be a popular spot. My fiancé had the salmon and he said it was excellent! It's a hidden gem that has been around forever. Old school Santa Fe!

Paul M.

Yelp
Had a family group of 9 at El Nido for dinner on a Wed night in Dec. Outstanding service and food! (Granted it was a slow night.) Cocktails were great. Everyone loved what they ordered: salmon, branzino, limoncello chicken, pork chop & mole, wagyu burger, 2 kinds of pizzas, and filet mignon. Can't say enough about how beautiful and tasty the dishes were. Spacious dining rooms made for fairly quiet dining. I would definitely eat here again the next time I'm in Santa Fe.

Jess D.

Yelp
Had a wonderful dinner here, everything was amazing! The ambience was very nice, and the servers were friendly and knowledgeable. We had the Brussels sprouts as an appetizer, my boyfriend had the lamb special, and I had the salmon entree. Everything was cooked perfectly and paired with delicious sauces/sides. We also tried the cheesecake and the espresso martini. Absolutely no complaints about anything!

Yelp
Stopped in for restaurant week and took a gamble. The location is great, as is the food, but our service was not. We were seated in an area that was not in the epicenter of the crowd, which was quite, a plus, but we received zero service. My adult beverage took 15 minutes to come, and we never received water refills. Hopefully, this was just an off day.

Cotton F.

Yelp
When they say there's only a couple of ribeyes left, pass... I will in future, mine was nasty, over the hill... dogfood... Another poor meal was the pork chop... a pro tip is to provide a sharp knife when serving a very tough piece of meat, it was comical trying to carve a piece off to eat... I failed and ordered a pasta dish. Last visit I ordered pizza, waitress asked how it was... Average I told her and then let her know that average pizza is not a bad thing. It wasn't too salty like it sometimes is but decent... Just wouldn't recommend going to Nido if you want excellent pizza... Nice interior/bar, order wisely... If you get a rancid ribeye, send it back ... wish I had A friend has good luck with a chicken dish, patio is nice And why does this guy return? I'm wanting a decent meal close to home, Tesuque market is too crowded most of the time... Gabriel's and Four Seasons(great green chile bacon cheese burger and excellent onion rings) get more of my biz... Nido is rare occasion

Yelp
Everything was excellent!! Food atmosphere and service. It was all so good. I will be back. And I will bring others.

Yelp
First night in santa fe. Amazing. Food...cocktails...everything was so good!!! Our server was the best ever.

Yves M.

Yelp
Delicious food, service very nice and ambiance a little cold, had to keep my coat for the evening!

Yelp
Came in Saturday night and I was told by the hostess that only limited seating was available. The place was 30%-40% full at the most. There was plenty of available seating. Here's an idea, how about just seating us? Our group sat at the bar which was fine. The service was just okay. It seemed like the servers weren't really into their jobs and could use some customer service training. The food kind of sucked for the price. I imagine it's so over priced because it's in Tesuque. I can't recommend El Nido and doubt if I'll go back.

Yelp
Went to SU at El Nido a year ago when Chef Masayuki Hattori was the chef. The food was excellent. I ordered the omakase and the food was plentiful and very flavorful. Everything the served was perfect and I left stuffed and happy. Unfortunately a year later they have a new chef and the quality is good. But the food lacked in flavor and the portions are tiny. We paid $75 for the omakase and left hungry. Sorry to say they didn't not retain the quality and portions were too small to justify ever going back.

Yelp
Thrilled to find a five star experience! The back patio, the service, the food, the dessert, the drinks- wow! The highlights of this meal: we started with the buttermilk chickpeas - tasty lil fuckers. Those deep fried serrano peppers- yum! Artichokes - yummy! My friends had the oysters baked and raw and the way the green chile paired with these particular oysters was phenomenal. Entrees - the boys who got the burgers were super happy and gushing with flavor, textures and tastiness. Dessert- rave reviews! Wow! Best flourless chocolate cake we have ever had - hands down. Light, tender, fluffy but rich. Best in our entire life. We are still salivating. My mom got the flan and exclaimed it was the best flan she has had in New Mexico. Classic flan- perfectly executed. Drinks. They have blue cheese stuffed olives- you know what to do. Also, the el nido-rita was yummy! Overall- lovely evening, amazing, attentive and engaged service and clean, comfort food.

Yelp
Our friend recommended this place. It's in Wall Street Journal few weeks before we came to town. I'm very pleased with my order, the Beef Wellington. Well done!

Shainy C.

Yelp
Delicious+...I had the special of Ono with mushroom risotto & sugar peas. The light sauce the chef used was delicious. My partner had the mushroom ravioli & he was one step away from licking the plate. We were pleased with the service .. the ambiance & the people serving us. Disregard the message on Yelp they are closed on Tuesdays. They recently reopened on Tues however Yelp isn't corrected. 6/29/23 Enjoy the experience!

Yelp
Food here is fantastic. If you are in Santa Fe and staying out of the city, this place is a hidden gem waiting for you to discover. TLDR: Open for Dinner only Large space, offering a traditional Japanese menu and American/Mexican menu - you pick one but I think you might be able to try both menus depending on their capacity. Food was five stars from appetizers to dessert - everything was well made, delicious and beautifully presented. Highlight: Caesar Salad - it was served with pickled anchovies - classic with a twist and a refreshing experience They had a cod special - the sauce was very southwest flavors, and I enjoyed the quality of the fish - cilantro really highlighted the dish. And to finish, the flan is a must. We also wanted to try the chocolate cake but they were out - so it must be a popular item. Come try it! Your foodie self will surely be satisfied.

Yelp
Phenomenal service with impressive dinner selections. Wish we could've tried more things as they all sounded fabulous. Our family group of five started with the goat cheese dip (cannot remember exact name) it was so creamy, flavorful and delicious with the crusty pizza type "dippers". We had a delightful Pinot Grigio and one family member had a daiquiri. One had the wagyu steak that was so well seasoned and prepared. Two split the shrimp and pizza and two of us split the shrimp also. The shrimp were seasoned perfectly and the sauce was a pleasant myriad of flavors. We cannot wait to try their sushi room the next time we travel to Sante Fe

Yelp
Absolutely fabulous meal and service from Nathan last night. The scampi appetizer was phenomenal, the broth so intense you will want to pick up the bowl and drink it. My three pepper ribeye with green Chile Demi glacé was delicious and way too much for one sitting even after cutting out all the fat that ribeyes are famous for. The cowboy Mac and cheese it came with is great and I enjoyed dipping the roasted veggies both in the Mac and in the Demi glacé. Hubby loved his perfectly medium rare filet and empanadas. Desserts were a triple chocolate cheesecake with raspberry sauce and a lovely lemon meringue tart which had consistency like key lime pie. All were top notch. It is very pricey but for a special occasion a wonderful place to visit. Edited to add: I forgot to mention how great the patio is. The tables are very well spaced for social distancing and the patio is shielded from the elements, they have heat lamps though the night we went you wouldn't have needed them. The inside was really large and spread out as well but I'm glad we dined on the patio. It's about a ten minute drive from Santa Fe but totally worth it.

Yelp
This was our fourth visit to Su Sushi and each time we leave saying, "That was fantastic!" Finding good, fresh quality sushi in a landlocked place like New Mexico can be challenging, but not so for this place. Everything is so delicious, innovative and fresh. Also worth mentioning is the service. Jose served us tonight and he was terrific. He made some wonderful suggestions and brought everything to the table quickly, with a huge smile on his face. Particularly worth mentioning were the Escolar, Amberjack and the specialty rolls. Also terrific, were the Sakes. Loved everything about our experience here, and we'll be back again....and again!

Melissa C.

Yelp
Wonderful experience at El Nido! Sat at the bar and had a salad, appetizer, and dessert. Enrique and JP were so friendly and helpful in recommending dishes. The new GM, Brian, introduced himself and checked in to see how I was doing. Definitely will be back!

Jeff H.

Yelp
Great neighbourhood restaurant tucked away off of the main road north of Santa Fe have had excellent meals there on many occasions love the bone marrow and multiple dining options

Brian L.

Yelp
I arrived early for a 6:30 reservation and offered to sit at the bar but the hostess seated me at our table. The busboy brought me water and, after 15 minutes I went up to the bar to get a drink myself. After 25 minutes the waiter finally came and asked if he could bring me anything else. And there were only 3 or 4 tables seated so they weren't busy. For a $20 cocktail I would have appreciated table service.

John H.

Yelp
We love El Nido. It is one of our go to restaurants in Santa Fe. The stuffed artichoke hearts as a starter are not to be missed. This time we tried the salmon and Bronzino, both of which were wonderful. As always, the service was incredible.

Lyle S.

Yelp
This is actually a review for the Omakase Experience with chef Masa which takes place inside El Nido at the concept called Su. I wasn't sure if this was going to be a more traditional sushi omakase or what, and it was more akin to a real omakase where the chef has some idea in mind for a multiple course dinner featuring what's fresh. Sometimes it might be nigiri, some sashimi, a noodle dish or something else. Absolutely loved it. First thing I will say is: Chef Masa is wonderful and the food he prepares is excellent. He was perfectly able to accommodate my celiac and took it seriously which made for an awesome dining experience. The room they use for the omakase experience is in the back part of El Nido behind some gorgeous double doors. The servers were very attentive and friendly and helped enhance the experience. The space is set up for a couple of flat top tables to accommodate groups and there is a chef's counter. For the best experience, if you can do it and fit with your group, absolutely go for the counter seating: chef has some things available that he can only really do for those at the counter since you're right there with him such as nigiri, an absolutely incredible wasabi relish, and of course wonderful conversation. Courses the night I went were (and remember gluten free in my case): -Pickled Vegetables -Sashimi plate (fresh veggies, red snapper, tuna, salmon, smoked salmon, toro, and salmon toro, scallop ikura shooter, another shooter I can't quite recall, and a few pieces of a salmon avocado cut roll.) -Miso soup with maitake mushroom and spring onion - rice noodle dish with fresh charred veggies, some delicious sauce, shrimp, and what I believe was burrata on top -nigiri (extra course): salmon, giant piece of blue fin toro, monkfish liver, and a crispy salmon skin hand roll -flourless chocolate cake with matcha powder They also had Hojicha tea available which was perfect to accompany the experience. For those looking for sake or other Japanese alcohol they did have an equivalent to a sommelier versed in that and a good sized selection. Highly recommend the experience.

Yelp
A dining disappointment-twice, so won't go for thrice. Service, menu, and value for price greatly overrated in an area with better choices.

Melissa M.

Yelp
Private event tonight and the place looked amazing from the table settings the candles, lighting and the music was perfect as well. Food came out great and everyone was happy. Thanks for the wonderful hospitality.

Amy R.

Yelp
I've lived in Tesuque for 21 years and never been treated so badly. They are particular who they let in and the person, as you walk in is rude and acts superior. The waiter at that time was acting distant and not helpful. This restaurant used to be welcoming and fun - with good, reasonable food.

Laura D.

Yelp
I have eaten many times at El Nido when it was under different ownerships. We decided to try it again in its current incarnation. We had a lovely table under the covered rear patio. The service was excellent, and an owner or manager even stopped by to inquire if everything was okay. The food, however, was disappointing. We started with Caesar salad. There was nothing wrong with it. However, it lacked the zest that I am accustomed to and did not contain anchovies. It could have been any salad. We next had the chicken which the server characterized as a house specialty. Unfortunately, it was no better than one might get if one bought a rotisserie chicken at a supermarket. The skin was not crisp, and the chicken had a bland taste in addition to being tough. The accompanying vegetable medley composed mainly of Brussel sprouts was tasteless as was the gummy polenta serving. We finished with the cheesecake dessert. Although this was just okay, it again was like something one might get at a diner. I doubt that I will revisit El Nido. It does not live up to the rave reviews it gets from others. I suspect that many diners do not pay much attention to food quality after 3 to 4 martinis, as I saw being served at adjacent tables.

Hannah W.

Yelp
First off the food was amazing! The chicken was some of the best I have ever tasted! Also, our waiter was incredible! We loved sitting outside! I would go here again and again! My husband got the Oaxaca Old fashioned and LOVED IT.

Daniel P.

Yelp
Ask for Aaron! I had a wonderful dinner at El Nido. It was after a long day of hiking, and I came right before close. I ordered the fish tacos and they were DELICIOUS! But what was best was the service. Despite being at the end of a long shift, my server (Aaron) had a ready smile and a steady stream of jokes. He was so kind and gave me great advice on the menu. I never write reviews. But the tasty food and Aaron's excellent service has me here. I'll definitely be back.

Thomas L.

Yelp
Last night , dining at El Nido, we fell in love with their Seabass entree. We started with the tremendously flavorful beet salad appetizer. Very sweet, tender and full of the best tasting beets we had ever had. The entree was the Seabass marinated in miso. It was one of the greatest pieces of fish I have ever put in my mouth. So tasty, tender, completely wrapped up in a dark crust of baked miso. It is an absolute must try. I prefer black cod to Seabass, but this had every element of perfection

Davidm A.

Yelp
We just got done with our rehearsal wedding dinner here and the service and food was great. Nice calm environment and serving a party of 16 is no easy task. Miguel our server walk through everyone and got everyone's order. Not one meal was made wrong and everytable had there glass filled at all times. I had the special bison steak and cooked medium and it came out great... to perfection if I should say. I highly recommended getting the flan for desert as well... this place is freaking great!!

Debi J.

Yelp
First: get a reservation! Then, enjoy! Beautiful atmosphere, excellent service and the food was to die for! One of the finest meals I've had since coming to New Mexico. This is a special occasion place. A little on the high end, but definitely worth every penny! You get what you pay for. Our cocktails were spot on, and we really just enjoyed ourselves in a relaxed and elegant setting.

Madeline S.

Yelp
I'd been getting emails saying there is now sushi at El Nido, so, of course I just had to try it. Im giving a 3 star rating for a couple of reasons. First and foremost I'd like to say that the sushi was very good, very fresh and very well presented. I thought the prices were overly exaggerated, I.e., $10 for two pieces of sashimi and the prices got worse from there. $170 for two people for sushi is crazy to spend when you can go locally for wayyyy less than half that price and the same quality and freshness. The atmosphere was lovely though there were only us and two other diners. I later found out that the two other diners were the owners that were sitting at the bar. I would have thought that considering the place was empty, one of them Would have came over to inquire how our meal was progressing. They did not. Also, I would suggest soft traditional Japanese music as opposed to Mexican music in this particular setting. BTW, the setting is very calm and ascetically pleasing. My friend asked for a sake martini which was not in the menu. Our darling waiter, Jose happily without hesitation said he would ask the bartender if she can accommodate us. He came back with a flipping yummy sake martini. Now Jose is the kind of waiter that you want to serve you. He was very discrete yet eager for feedback every step of the way. I would love to give his service a five star if there was a way to do that. He made our dining experience very pleasurable indeed. I'd like to make it clear that my 3 star rating was mostly because of the crazily expensive prices of the sushi. I've dined in the non-sushi part of El Nido several times and will always give it a 5 star rating for the food and service. We were off put only by the prices and very small portions and the fact we thought one of the owners should have asked us how our dining experience was. Hopefully, they will have the good sense to lower the prices and increase the portions and when and if they do, I'll be back. However, again, Jose was the bomb, bravo Jose!

Rachel P.

Yelp
My past couple of visits to El Nido have been disappointing. I can no longer advise the pasta dishes, they've lost all of their incredible drinks, and the service just doesn't seem to be as on point. I think if you go with any of their specials or meat dishes you're probably OK. i've been sneered at for thinking that it was OK to ask for sauce for my pizza. bur I've had enough friends leave here disappointed that I won't rushing back anytime soon.

Max S B.

Yelp
Awful! Server the only good thing there...got reservations wrong. Food is OK but way to pricey for what it is... Awful dessert! Manager rude! Will not be going back with so many better choices in Santa Fe.

Michael N.

Yelp
I enjoyed a fantastic dining experience at El Nido, on a Friday night, using Open Table to make a reservation for myself and 2 friends. It was an hour drive from Albuquerque, but well worth it. We enjoyed two tri-pepper ribeye steaks, so tender, juicy, spicy and flavorful, paired with grilled vegetables and the most amazing green chile Cowboy mac & cheese. My other friend ordered the Kobe burger and he considered it the best burger he's ever had. Before our meal we tried several smoked cocktails, a mixture of bourbon, tequila and mezcal. The servers checked on us frequently for refills and to make sure our entrees were prepared as requested. We were too stuffed to sample the desserts and will need to return another time to save some room for dessert. The character and history of the dining room and bar definitely added to our experience.

Vaughn F.

Yelp
This is not the El Nido you remember. After a long period of shuttered doors, the familiar adobe building just past the Tesuque Village Market reopened last Thanksgiving as a newly reincarnated "Italian Steakhouse." Specializing in fire-cooked and rotisserie entrees alongside pizza and pasta dishes, this upscale establishment draws a diverse crowd every night, as the parking lot spills out onto the street. On a recent visit, my New York Strip was cooked to medium-rare perfection, full of flavor, and drizzled in house-made A1 sauce. Each bite was tender and irresistible. From the specials menu, an order of monkfish was also selected. The flavor, mild and buttery, perfectly complemented the potato puree and greens. The grappa-cured salmon appetizer has a bold and pungent taste which lingers on the tongue. A cappicola pizza, topped with apricot preserves and arugula, is fresh and sumptuous. At classy joints like this, I'm more conscious of my desire to rapidly devour whole plates of food. The beer list isn't fancy, but the recent addition of Dogfish Head 90 Minute is a plus. For five dollars, PBR is the cheapest option, and there's no shame ordering a glass of it to accompany your ribeye. Ask your server what's good that day, and don't be afraid to try something new; El Nido provides just such inspiration.

Hill M.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of enjoying every minute of my evening at El Nido from the staff, to the superb meal. We went with a sharing state of mind and were happily blessed to fight over the meatballs, crab fritters, arugula fig salad, tortellini and the Everest sized volcano chocolate ice cream dessert. I can't say enough about the attentiveness and knowledge of the staff. It's pretty hard to find professional waitstaff in NM, but El Nido has hand picked the finest and Melissa was top notch. Chris picked out the perfect accompaniment wine and Chef Cristian checked on us to make sure all was as expected. 20 years ago, El Nido was the best restaurant in Santa Fe, and Chef Cristian has revived its perfection and taken it to the next level. I love this place and will return as soon as possible.

Mark D.

Yelp
Now that the pandemic is getting behind us it's good to be able to go back to Alamito and enjoy a lovely dinner and drinks. We love the architecture and the walls since the remodel several years ago.

Michael W.

Yelp
So right of to start I love EL Nido's food. The problem I have is when I order it on-line there are issues. How can I explain it? Dishes that we ordered don't show up. ie...Ordered three dishes and got two. This has happened not once but multiple times. I pay for 3 and they give me 2. Love the food but it will be hard again to order from them with any confidence that I get what I ordered. And by the way... I pay full price for food I don't get. Feeling like there is some kind of scam going on. This kind of stuff has happened to me not once, not twice, but three times. I think I'm done unfortunately. I

Yelp
First time back to this Tesuque favorite. I decided during the past year of lockdown that my first foray out would be here. Made a reservation well, well in advance for a table on the patio. Upon arrival they had our reservation, but the hostess glibly informed us that there were no tables outside because 'others' had reserved them. We were told in no uncertain terms that our reservation held no value. Apparently, El Nido has taken the same approach as airlines who overbook and then just don't care about 'your' reservation. It's fine if they are basically not respecting the age old tradition of holding reservations sacred, but at least be honest about it and say you only deal with customers on a first come first serve basis. Additionally, they've gone to the Santa Fe 'You think I'm stupid' pricing model in the manner of Geronimo, The Compound et al. The food here is very good, but the pricing is getting ridiculous. Raising prices to make up for lost revenue might seem smart on an Excel sheet, and with pent-up demand prove to be a short-term income boost, but it's not a long-term strategy for winning back loyal patrons.

Russell D.

Yelp
This is one of our new favorites! To start, I cannot say enough about the excellent service, hospitality and atmosphere. Drinks were always full and everyone was very friendly. Food was very good with ample servings. We enjoyed it so much, we went two days in a row. You will not be disappointed with the Stuffed Artichoke, Wagyu Burger or the Lamb Pappardelle.

Peter V.

Yelp
We had a meal that started well, but turned into a disaster. We were walk-ins on a busy night, and the hostess was very accomodating. We had wonderful whiskey sours and a delightful split caesar salad. Then things went haywire. A long, long wait for the maincourse followed by a dead cold pizza - I mean no warmth at all. The restuarant tried to fix this by reheating, but returned with the pizza crust burnt . I mean really really burnt. Personally, I would be ashamed to present anything like that to a table. After a little round about, the restaurant did comp the pizza. Saved some money but we went away hungry.

Diane S.

Yelp
Outstanding. The food and cocktails were top level. We had the shaved Brussels sprouts salad and bread basket to start, then the butternut squash cannelloni and lamb pappardelle. The food was delicious. For drinks we had the Oaxaca Old Fashioned, which I wasn't sure about from the menu because I am not a huge mezcal fan, but wow, it was excellent. Highly recommend El Nido, and this will be a regular stop for us when we are in town. We booked on Open table and we were supposed to have a regular table but we received a call a day or so in advance that Open Table doubled booked us and they asked if we would sit at the bar instead, and receive full service. We loved the bar experience.

Char T.

Yelp
We had a party of three last night. We booked like hours in advance. When we got there, the person at the entrance had a hard time finding our name. She insisted on putting us in Su when I specifically did not book a space in their sushi room. All the booth sections except one were unoccupied when we got there at 6. When we left, there was one booth section still unoccupied. She said seats in the other areas were "prebooked." What I did online does not apparently count as prebooking. Wonder what prebook means when their website only shows one reservation link for El Nido and another for Su. We felt embarrassed and frankly discriminated.

Pam P.

Yelp
El Nido has a "new" offering, and new menu. We enjoyed the sushi menu, available by designating this choice when making a reservation. The winter menu is delicious, but this sushi is a welcome winter option. The choices were fresh, tasty, prepared by a seasoned sushi chef. The service was its usual friendly and professional. Six of us enjoyed different selections, and each of us raved and agreed to return. The Sushi option is available at El Nido Wednesday through Saturday. I highly recommend this as a delicious alternative to more traditional winter dining. Located in Tesuque, El Nido is a short and easy drive from Santa Fe.

Yelp
Excellent. The food was delicious, the service very friendly and accommodating. Each person in our party was fully satisfied with their meal. We had the grilled oysters, caprese salad, fettuce pasta, pizza, bison ribs and pork. Everything was excellently prepared. We also had our 6 month old baby and everyone from the host to our server was so very gracious and invited him back anytime.

Yelp
We really enjoyed El Nido. The service was top notch and the food was very good. We tried the stuffed artichokes and pork belly for an appetizer and both were amazing. I had the bison osso bucco and it was melt in your mouth and delicious. All around, great food and service. Would absolutely be 5 star but I think the pricing is a bit high here. Dinner for 2 adults and 2 kids with drinks came out to $320. Example: $9 bread plate (something most nice restaurants would just offer complimentary before your meal).
