El Paso International Airport (ELP) El Paso International is one of the easiest and most low-stress airports to travel through. Security lines are usually quick, the terminal is clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. It’s not a huge airport, which actually makes it really convenient—no long walks or confusing terminals. There are a few solid food and coffee options, and the Texas-themed décor gives it a nice local touch. Wi-Fi is free and reliable, and there are plenty of charging spots around the gates. Baggage claim is fast, and getting in and out of the airport is a breeze compared to bigger cities. It might not be flashy, but it’s efficient, comfortable, and traveler-friendly. Great little airport that does its job well

Google
Small airport with a laid back easy process. Drop off and arrival area was easy to get in and out. Rental cars right next to the terminals. TSA was fast and efficient. Great service. Plenty of seating and charging areas. Such a pleasant experience traveling through here.

Google
This post is touching on one of the cool Art exhibits that the Airport displayed. I saw, and enjoyed, this exhibit as I was departing the Airport. The exhibit honored the Mexican Xolo dog breed. Pretty cool. Airports house more than airplanes and travelers. They offer food, shops for souvenirs, and some offer specific things to make their Airport stand out a bit once a traveler has time to breathe.

Google
A small airport – and that's exactly its strength! El Paso International Airport is very easy to navigate thanks to its manageable size. Short walking distances, quick security checks, and friendly staff make the travel experience smooth and stress-free. The terminal is beautifully decorated with unique displays like model airplanes, a classic stagecoach, and art in Southwest style. These details give the airport a warm and personal atmosphere that stands out. While there aren't many restaurants inside the terminal, fast food options are just a short walk away. The car rental center is only a few steps from the terminal, making onward travel incredibly convenient. We especially appreciated the quiet gate area, where soft country music plays in the background – a welcome change from the noise and crowds of larger airports. Conclusion: If you're looking for a calm, efficient, and friendly airport experience, El Paso is a hidden gem. We’d gladly fly through here again.

Google
El Paso International Airport is a small, comfortable airport. Very laid back with a cool south western vibe. The concourse is nicely appointed with regional architecture and art pieces. It was decorated for Halloween so lots of fun surprises. The airport is easy to navigate. Signage is pretty good. The gates are close to the baggage claim so there may be a short wait for your checked bags.

Google
Small "International Airport"... like, it's tiny. Go right, or go left after the TSA fondles you. That's it. Get a low dose of radiation. Get felt up. Go left, or go right. Parking is fine. Mostly uncovered. The pick up and drop off security type staff can be very extra at times but there is limited space for congested . The cell phone lot is in a weird spot. It's a clean airport. Clean ladies rooms at least. It's quick and

Google
Small, but very spacious airport that was very easy to navigate upon arrival and departure. Car rental facilities are conveniently connected to the terminal. The ticket counters and baggage claim areas were also very spacious and never felt crowded. As far as inside the terminal, there's enough convenience stores, a bar, mini stores, and a small food court. There's also free Wi-Fi that was fast and reliable. Small airport, but well planned and designed.

Google
El Paso International Airport is a 5 Star airport to travel to or from!!! It's small size makes it easy to pull right up to your airline carrier without long lines or requiring extensive walking. Even their 'Long Term Parking' is relatively close besides being quite reasonable!!!

Yelp
Think you know El Paso? Not if you haven't been in a couple of years. The airport is spacious with lots of seating, play ground, and pet area. Once you go through security, which runs very efficiently here, turn left to go to the A gates. (American Airlines, Alaskan) Turn right to go to the B gates. (Southwest Airlines, Delta) Spend some time downtown while you are here. Highly recommend Del Norte for your stay. A speak easy is opening within walking distance at one of the best boot shops. Can't make it too easy for you. But check out the custom boots.

Yelp
Surprised at this airport in El Paso. For a small town they really make a beautiful for Christmas. It is well kept and has delicious options to eat. It's small but mighty. So smart to have the rental car counters at baggage claim. I also liked that the outdoor path from parking to the airport had ceiling outdoor heaters. Outdoor and indoor doggie area. Everyone seems happy to be here.

Yelp
It's a small two wing airport that services the Big 3, and some smaller regional airlines, as well. The staff are friendly and the gates are clean. It's not really wired to power devices, but there is free wifi. It's easy to get to major hubs from EP. They have a Starbucks and some other small eateries beyond the security. There is a playground at the end of the B Gates for little little kiddos. Long Term parking has a pretty efficient shuttle and $7 per day parking. It's functional and our new base for travel.

Yelp
Love this airport it is such an accessible and easy airport to get in and out. Flying with Southwest to Boston via Chicago (Midway). They also have a small courtesy card to bring elderly people to their respective gates. They also have great Halloween decorations right now.
google avatar

Sandra C.

Yelp
Small, clean airport that is easy to get around in. They have a few small shoppes for you to pick up some souvenirs or last minute snacks or toiletries, or a T-shirt. They have a fresh flower bouquets vending machine, a patio with plenty of seating, and a few coffee shops and restaurants/bars to stop for a quick bite or something to drink. They do have rental car services and they have clean bathrooms and free WiFi. The TSA line is usually very quick and you don't have to wait in line very long. Surrounding the airport are various hotels and restaurants, some walking distance or a very short 5 minute drive. There's long and short term parking, credit and cash are accepted as payment for parking.
google avatar

Yelp
We weren't here very long and they are doing construction as well. The airport was pretty empty being the middle of the day. Only bad thing is that the car rental took a long time to come and the office was moved from one side to another. Will be coming back so I'll try to take more pics.

Yelp
Cutest little / big airport you've ever seen! Honestly I love the airport. It's nice, fairly modern and very easy to navigate. I always busy but never toooo busy. It's clean. And it's always decorated so fun! I'm not sure who's in charge of it, but every major holiday, the airport is decked out following the theme. It's really cool. It hosts all airlines and offers places to eat, shop (snack / souvenir), and rental cars. Long term and short term parking available. Typically over eager parking attendants on the curb and waiting for you to be stopped in the loading zone for 4 seconds longer than they want you to be so they can yell at you. It's got everything you need in an airport lol El Paso is one of those tricky places that doesn't have a huge airport like Dallas (DFW), but is a major international hub because we are 5ft (not exaggerating) from the border (Mexico). Additionally, we are the only airport game for West Texas, southeast New Mexico, and northern Mexico. It leads to a unique situation wherein we have a small town Wild West airport, that's still international, and used frequently by many. Likewise, we have the U.S. ARMYs largest instillation in Ft Bliss, which hosts some 50,000 Soldiers and friends and family and civilian contractors and federal employees etc. - anytime you have the DoD and Military in town, you're gonna have a heavily trafficked airport. Add to that all the 3-Letter agencies that support the borderlands type operations around here, and I'm just being redundant at this point - because you get the point.

Yelp
This is an efficient airport, clean and affordable food options. The staff is wonderful and the airport is thoughtfully put together. The women's restrooms had free feminine products for anyone with the sentiment to give that dignity to all travelers. There are really neat working/group cube style tables on the A gates and a whole section of seating at B gates. Starbucks on both gates although as of Nov 2023, the Starbucks on B is not functional. No biggie, plenty of other options with food and coffee.

Keri C.

Yelp
My husband and I are TSA Pre status owners. We took the time to apply for this designation and were cleared for purchase. The status has made air travel much easier and less stressful. At the El Paso airport, we were pulled out of the Pre line (I guess because it was getting long) and sent to the regular line. A card was shoved at us to hold allowing us to keep our shoes on. We waited and waited and waited for people to be processed before us and ended up spending a long time waiting while other Pre customers who remained in that line were long gone. I am livid especially since we paid money to get through the line quicker. I hope the airport administration will evaluate its policies for accommodating Pre customers.

Yelp
Nice airport! Since we're flying out until later I'll have a chance to check things out. Appears to be nice smaller size airport.
google avatar

Rebecca R.

Yelp
The El Paso International Airport is not a big airport but I have to say it was one of my favorite airports to travel through. I really appreciated the seating options that they have so if you're needing to sit & get a little bit of work done, you can plug up & w/ the chairs being made out of a softer material, you could even take a little "cat nap". This airport even has a cute little indoor pet relief area complete with a small grass pad, water hose for cleanup, & pet relief bags. Hope this info helps, Rebecca

Yelp
Super great airport! I love these smaller airports. Everyone was super nice and happy to be there. From the Delta counter to TSA. It was nice to be in an airport with happy people. Nice and small but plenty of restaurants and such. Plenty of seats at the gates with power outlets and chargers. Great Airport!!

Yelp
Nice here as I am about ready to board a United smoker to Denver. Seems a newer facility than I remember from days past. Security was speedy and efficient. Real good food experience I just had at Tia's. A Mex food place.
google avatar

Valentina L.

Yelp
Small and clean. Easy to find terminals. Limited food. Easy to park your rental and walk through
google avatar

Juan G.

Yelp
Small airport, not too crazy. They offer a convenient store, a Starbucks, and a bar & grill restaurant, that's it. Easy airport. The convenient store was closing down around 6 pm. It was a Sunday.
google avatar

Matt B.

Yelp
Easily one of the best airports I've been to. Convenient, people are nice and decent selection of food places. My kids are currently playing at the airport play area inside. Getting their energy out before this four hour flight is going to pay off dividends.
google avatar

Dan L.

Yelp
OMG! First the airport car rental was seamless with no delays and easy to get to. At 5:14am on 8/20 TSA pre-screen line 1 took thirty minutes. The agent kept taking bags and running them back through the scanner. That's the worst experience ever. We all just stood there as she would take our bags back.
google avatar

Sandra M.

Yelp
Little airport with a touch of country . Love the playground what a great idea they should have one at every airport.

Yelp
I don't really review too many airport locations these days... mainly because I'm so far in the hole when it comes to my reviews and I just don't have the time to do it. But I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to review this one. ELP was such an enjoyable airport to navigate. That's right, I enjoyed it! It's small but not super tiny to where it doesn't have any options. No long TSA lines, easy to navigate, and eerily uncrowded. When you constantly have to deal with flying in and out of super busy airports, flying in and out of El Paso makes everything seem like a complete breeze. I had the entire restroom to myself during both my departure and arrival. I had an entire airport waiting section to myself with a wonderful view of the planes. I walked right up to the Enterprise rental kiosk as soon as I landed (it's literally located right inside of the airport too! No shuttles or mile long walks to get there). I almost laughed when I got to the TSA line. I literally could not effing believe how short the line was! Why can't all TSA lines be this short and sweet? Everyone was so dang polite too. Out of habit, I got to the airport about 2 hours early which isn't really needed here. So for an hour and half, I just relaxed and caught up on some Yelping which is rare. Food options aren't the greatest, but they have some decent fast casual spots and a few Mexican restaurants on deck. Let's be honest; you probably ain't gonna be here for too long anyways given how small this airport is. Luckily, there were no flight delays and I had a smooth landing coming in and out of this airport. You will might have a layover getting here depending on where you're flying in from since it's a small airport. I had a short layover in Phoenix which wasn't so bad, but I would have loved a straight flight coming in from SFO. But regardless of that, I was very pleased with my experience at ELP. It makes me appreciate the convenience of flying in and out of smaller airports.

Yelp
First time here due to a connecting flight. Mrs and I were in B terminal and it was not crowded at all. There were plenty of sittings at the gates and lobby. There was a food court with five vendors and one sit-down restaurant with a full bar. We chilled and caught up with our e-mails during our two hours wait. I also enjoyed the sights of the surrounding mountains through floor to ceiling windows. I even did some walking excise. It was relaxing for the two of us.
google avatar

Yelp
As soon as I arrived I knew I was far from home; great service nice restaurants and lovely to walk around in . Very vibrant airport.
google avatar

Jeremy B.

Yelp
It's an easy and smooth travel process. We don't have any hiccups when we processed in/out of this airport. I love how much this city appreciates and showcases their artistic talent.
google avatar

Miranda M.

Yelp
The airport is pretty small and doesn't have a lot of food and drink options but other than that, I've always had a good experience. It's clean and efficient. Me and my dog have flown here multiple times and I've never had a bad experience. (they have a great dog relief area that is taken care of better than any other airport!!)

Diana M.

Yelp
I am at Gate 5 waiting to board a southwest flight to Los Angeles. The airport has removed all the seating at the gate in order to clean the carpet. Everyone is forced to stand and wait for a delayed flight. Of course the cleaned but wet carpet will be soiled as the passengers walk on it to board the aircraft. What a "no class" airport with inept man

Sam H.

Yelp
Baggage claim sucks!!! It takes an ungodly amount of time to get your bags after a long flight.
google avatar

Tom H.

Yelp
I took my mom to the airport since she was flying out to see a chiropractor. She needed wheelchair assistance from the airline which I had called to schedule the day before. Well, it took a few minutes for me to get her situated in the airline wheelchair and get her ticket. Not even 4 or 5 minutes later, I was given a $25 ticket. I guess there is a rule not to have your car loitering over 3 minutes. I'm pretty sure the airport cop was timing me since he saw me walking with my mom in the wheelchair. Sorry, El Paso, no love from me today. 1 Star for the heartless ticket. No mercy from these guys.

Yelp
Other than the slowpokes in the departures drop-off lanes (I've been told that's an El Paso thing.) and serious lack of sit-down restaurants in this place, it really is a good airport. Not only is it clean, but it's not huge, and it's easily navigable. Furthermore, the lady running the courtesy cart stopped and offered to take us to our terminal. That's the first time either of us have ever experienced such forward customer service. Now, to my earlier complaint about the serious lack of amenities here. I understand that this airport (and all others) took a major hit in 2020. In the recent years prior, El Paso International Airport saw between 3.5-3 million passengers pass through on an annual basis. Earlier today, my flight to Houston was full. The nearby flights to Dallas and Phoenix were also full. So, why would the only sit-down restaurant in B terminal (PGA Grill) be resting on its laurels? A 20-something-year old woman was polishing booze bottles in the front, while a cook was in the kitchen firing up griddles. Around 8:45, I asked her when they would be open for business, and she said around 9:15. By 9:40, she was still wiping down a bar area, and some dude who showed up with a pallet of ice was told "The cook's not ready." Several people stopped and stared, seemingly wanting to sit down and spend money. My guess: This place is supposed to open by 9 (or maybe earlier), but there was no management there to ensure that the staff did what it was supposed to do. It happens all the time, unfortunately. I know this is an airport review. Amenities are huge when it comes to airport grades, and El Paso really fails here.
google avatar

Dan B.

Yelp
Small airports make traveling so much more enjoyable, and El Paso International Airport perfectly exemplifies this. Check in at the counter only took 5 minutes. Going through TSA was a breeze with no waiting (especially impressive considering it was the last Saturday before Christmas). The TSA Agents seem more personable, relaxed, and friendly than at larger airports. Finally, getting to your gate is as simple as following the signs and walking down the corridor (and not having to worry about catching a tram and taking 20 minutes to get to a remote gate). That being said, there are some trade offs. One won't find as many shops or places to eat, but there is a Restaurant, a newspaper / magazine/snack store, and of course a Starbucks (to name a few). The three major airlines that I've flown out of here are Allegiant, Southwest, and United. I've been satisfied with their rates, schedules, on-time departures, and levels of service. Other major airlines flying out of here include Alaska Airlines, American, Delta, and Frontier. It's only an hour drive here for me and long term parking is only $7 per day. Additionally, Shuttles equipped with wheelchair lifts provide FREE pickup and return from the long term lot (although it's not that far and one could walk if needed). This airport is obviously well managed, and does a great job of providing enjoyable air travel for the West Texas and Southern New Mexico communities. I recommend you plan for your 2021 vacation and start with a stress free flight out of this airport. Happy flying!

Yelp
Human Resources take note the female with the short black hair has been sitting here, swearing like a sailor and taking seats from paying customers. She clearly has a bad attitude. We heard her walkie talkie going off asking for assistance and she plays on her phone. Very unprofessional
google avatar

Chanel M.

Yelp
It's a small airport but perhaps it was just the date/time we flew out but I definitely recommend getting there well in advance of your flight in order to ensure you make it through the checkpoint. When we got there the line snaked around for literally half a mile and we ended up standing in line for over 45 mins.
google avatar

Irene Y.

Yelp
I usually don't review airports but I am reviewing this one because they have an awesome kids playground area!! It's fairly new and clean, and perfect because we were waiting at this airport for about an hour. The airport is small and very slow. We were here on a Friday evening and there was barely anyone. No line at security or check in. Ideally there would be better food options but there was pizza for the kids so we were satisfied.
google avatar

Paul H.

Yelp
It's the only Real Airport in the area short term parking is really reasonable which was surprising. Kind of confusing to get into and out of. But I've seen worse.
google avatar

Jason L.

Yelp
This airport has come a long way after the years. I've been flying out of here for years and it's only been improving more and more over time. From the large lounge areas to the nice seat couches with pullout tables with charging stations. It's come a long way. I wish I can show before and after photos to show the improvements. But realizing while writing this review I don't really have good pictures now to show. But luckily for everyone, don't panic now, I can update the review and add photos. A nice feature here. So until then...

Yelp
Over all, the El Paso airport has always been a good airport. It's not the biggest or the most tech savvy airport that you will ever visit in your life but it is a good airport for El Paso and it's pretty simple to get around. There is one main hallway that leads you to every part of the airport! The main airline that fly's in and out of here is Southwest but there are others like: Delta, American, and Alaska. When you arrive, you can park in the short or long term parking spots. Then they have shuttles that take you from the parking lots, to the front of the airport at the designated drop off zones. Once you walk in, they have the bag check ins and then you head off to TSA. In my opinion, TSA Pre Check is always the way to go so if you don't have it and travel a few times a year, it's 100% worth it. Finding your gate is also very simple! On this day, we were coming to the airport to catch a flight to Houston. We parked in long term parking, as we didn't know how long we'd be gone. We also didn't check in bags, as we didnt bring big suitcases. We got through TSA pretty quick (like 2 minutes) and then we headed to our gate. Everything went as smooth as can be!

Yelp
Had to wait an hour to get my rental car At the El Paso Air Port Completely unacceptable

Yelp
Nice airport! I hadn't been here in twenty plus years and was really impressed. Nice presentation of local Medal of Honor Heroes on display near baggage claim. Great education for all visitors of this airport. Very clean airport including restrooms. Car rental conveniently near baggage. Close to I-10 too to rapidly begin the visit to El Paso and area.

Chan'tel M.

Yelp
This was hands down the chillest airport I've ever been in. In fact, when I returned to Dallas I was like dang it's so busy here. El Paso overall made my normal seemed a bit overstimulating ha. Lots of Hispanic vibes and flair throughout. Cute Texan desert souvenirs in the gift shops too. Now when it comes to airports, that's a wonderful quality...especially during a pandemic. I docked a star because well, the restaurant options weren't that great (at least near my gate). I did order an angus burger and fries at a sports bar, but it only satisfied my hunger, not taste buds. Seemed nuked. Meh. I ate it all and tipped well tho hahaha. Don't judge me. I'll be back through this airport because I have family that lives this way now. If you have a connecting flight through El Paso, it may be a breeze. If you're visiting El Paso, I hope you enjoy good company. Other than that, enjoy the rocks! My goodness, why are there so many rocks?! lol
google avatar

Vlad V.

Yelp
Earlier this year, I flew to El Paso. My thoughts on airports is pretty simple: is it easy to navigate, do they have good dining choices, and is there anything special about the airport. I wouldn't say El Paso International Airport stands out as an architectural marvel or anything. It's pretty much your run-of-the-mill airport with a focus on the military as El Paso has a large military base. The airport is on the smaller side so it was easy to navigate and getting through security was a breeze with my TSA Pre-Check. I didn't eat at the airport on either of my flights so I can't comment on the choices here.
google avatar

Nellie F.

Yelp
Good size airport and pretty efficient. They have some pretty cool waiting areas on the way to the gates which are mostly always occupied, but they're still cute and cozy. The rental car garage is pretty close to the terminal with the actual rental desks in baggage claim, so you can collect the keys sometimes before you get your luggage - saves time. Overall it's a very cute and efficient airport. I like flying to and from it. It's easy to find everything and easy to get out of. Another bonus is the amazing view of the mountains through the large windows while waiting to board.
google avatar

Robert M.

Yelp
Quite a nice small airport. Flew in and out for a longish weekend and thought it blew away some of the larger, more congested spots. Not a lot of amenities and those close early. But, it was quite enjoyable to relax in.
google avatar

Rick S.

Yelp
Wow is one work to describe this airport. This is my first time here and once I got off the plane you see the thought this airport out. You'll find a few nice places to set They even have a place to take your pet if you have one with you The airport is nicely layed out and lots of signs to guide you. The car rental is here too

Yelp
ELP is a small airport and incorporates some of the benefits of both a small and large airport. Going against it, I can't figure out what's going on with the climate control in there. In the summer, the sun streams through those big floor to ceiling windows and the sun room where you can eat your lunch. I don't think the A/C is powerful enough to really combat it because it feels warm in there during the day. The TSA checkpoint has a cool ETA display, but when the general line gets long, it gets crazy in there. Not DIA crazy, but small airport with a security line coordinator crazy. If you're not pre-check, plan to spend about 20 minutes at peak time. When I was visiting my BF during his probation, I spent more time using the parking lot. They only have the one and it gets full, so you might look at a small hike in the summer sun to get to the terminal. Lastly, as others mention, it's not a very mobile friendly airport. Places to charge your devices are not incorporated into the seating. Fortunately, ELP benefits from the central layout of a small airport. Baggage and car rentals are on one side and the counters are all on the other side of the main entrance. No rental car shuttle. They're all onsite. There are only two concourses which are interconnected so you don't have to go through security if you're cross connecting. There's a gift shop and a restaurant pre-security, but most shops and restaurants are post, of course. I haven't had a chance to try much more than the Starbucks. Perhaps more on that later. ELP has been recently updated because everything in there looks modern and aesthetically pleasing even down to the restrooms.

Yelp
This airport is small but mighty. I never had issues getting a flight in or out during the timeframes I wanted while I lived here. It was very centrally located to Ft. Bliss, so it was only a short drive to the Airport. I never had issues with parking here.

Yelp
Clean restrooms, excellent Southwest agents. Baggage are is easy to access, hassle free. Beautiful Christmas decorations!

Yelp
Perhaps one of the best airports that I have ever experienced! I agree with everyone else that smaller is definitely better! However, not all small airports are that great. Since I had to fly to and from San Diego, I was not pleased at all by how SAN was set up to try to locate the Allegiant Airlines. I was even almost late because there was little to no other directions for Allegiant until I went back outside the building to see the sign that it was on the East wing. But in ELP, I made little to no effort with navigating through the airport to locate Allegiant, check in, drop off my bag for Check In, and make my way over to my gate. All of which were easily directed by the many, easy to understand signs that just made my departure so smooth! And the best part was the newly added USO within the last few years! This was the best USO I got to experience! Although also on the small scale, this was the most charming USO and most accomodating! There were baskets of TSA approved hygiene kits donated by folks from the shops and thank god for it too! I did not bring my toothpaste and was desperate! Thank you kind citizens! John was the volunteer member who was running the USO and will be the best host to help you out! My only gripe was how late my flight ended up leaving. My flight was for 1145 and we didnt take off until 1215 or so. But I am still excited to know that I am confident that I will have no problem flying out of El Paso because of this great setup! Great job ELP!
google avatar

Pete B.

Yelp
Being stuck here due to flight delay is like a prison sentence. ELP has gone downhill since what it was pre-pandemic. Not that it was anything to marvel at, but there were many more choices. AA Terminal A consists of Starbucks and Home Team Sports Bar Grille, which has mediocre reviews. The other option is a $6 bag of Cheezits from the El Paso Marketplace convenience store. Never thought I be glad to get to Dallas.

I love small airports. Something about them not being so busy and your actually able to enjoy relaxing before the flight. I was here the 4th of July. It was hectic while not hectic at the same time. I recommend coming here an hour and half before your flight as Southwest does not have one of those check-in kiosks. You have to stand in line for checking in baggage. TSA was quick for precheck and regular security. The only downer is at the time of this review, a lot of the food options and stores were closed due to Covid. They don't deserve a star knocked off for that as its out of their control. The airport was clean, quiet and had plenty of space to lay out and relax. The one area on the right side of the airport has a large area where you can watch the runway and planes. Overall it was a nice airport.
