All I can say is wow, this is exactly what I dreamed about when I thought of Puebla and I was satisfied more than I thought I could be. Their Al Pastor will give you dreams

I don’t recommend this place, and less after trying the delicious tacos form CasaTony! Here they serve Tacos al pastor, but the meat it doesn’t taste as good and it they were really dry. Staff was friendly but no beers!

Terrible food bad service, not recommend!

These were the best al pastor tacos I've ever had. I will keep eating them elsewhere to make sure but this will require frequent visits back here. Make sure you get the arabe. I prefer it without the cheese. Service was top notch, food delivered fast and hot, all for under 100 pesos. I have nothing but good things to say.

I'm usually sceptical of recommendations in guide books as they never seem to be what the writers suggest they are. We arrived in Puebla just after lunch and were very hungry so decided to put our faith in our Moon guidebook and try this taqueria. Walking in right past the spit with the marinated meat roasting on it made me so hungry. I had two tacos arabe, one torta and a chorizo con queso. They were all pretty tasty. They were on par with the best tacos I had in Mexico City. I would have gone back but didn't have much time in Puebla and needed to try the other regional dishes. The staff just handed us a paper form to mark what we wanted and they promptly delivered it, which was great since my Spanish is still a work in progress.

Note that there are TWO Las Ranas on the same block, almost across the street from each other. We found out by accident when we had a snafu meeting up with friends! That said, the al pastor tacos were excellent! The maiz (corn) tortilla tacos are smaller but I liked them better than the harina (flour) tacos! Food comes out super fast. Waiter didn't speak any English but he gave us a checklist to order food that was in English, plus everything is pretty self explanatory

Very cool auto sphere and tasty tacos and pita sandwiches. You see the meat being cooked as you pass the grills when you enter the restaurant. There are two locations one across each other on same street. Go to the larger one for the local ambience. Salsa and meats are very good. Go and enjoy it

We were surprised to experience the utter mediocrity that is Las Ranas in May 2016. Perhaps this place was once great. They have then gotten complacent. Their al pastor is nowhere near the quality of many places in Mexico City and Los Angeles. It's dry and lacking in flavor. Getting it as a taco arabe just adds to the dry-ness with a pseudo pita that is not toasted nor warmed. We ordered cebollitas and frijoles charros - both were lukewarm and just ok. I would advise anyone looking for good al pastor to stay far away from this place.

I knew I was going to enjoy this place when I saw their al pastor cooking on display in the front of the restaurant. So we waited in line. It was worth waiting in line for 20 minutes. Their al pastor was seasoned and cooked perfectly.

Stopped here for a taco -excellent taco arabe-would love to come by and eat again. Good prices and better than the tacos I had in cdmx!

Las Ranas is famous for al pastor tacos and tacos arabes (al pastor on a pita-like bread rather than tortilla). We got three different tacos and all were very good and filling, but my favorite was the gringa which came with cheese.

I've been a Pastor addict for over 20 years and these are some of the best ever. They are so popular they have either 1-2 enormous rounds going all the time and there are plenty of people there at any time of day. I highly recommend all their pastor options - with the pita, gringo style (with melted cheese), the torta, and just plain ol tacos. Simply the best.
