A variety of delicious Mexican meal options and a great family friendly atmosphere are the notable plus points for this restaurant. Conveniently located just miles from interstate I-4 the location is in a large shopping plaza with plenty of parking. We loved the appetizer platter as well and we highly recommend this place for dinner or lunch!

⭐ Review: El Patrón – Orlando We visited El Patrón here in Orlando, and wow — what an amazing experience. They offer an all-you-can-eat from 11 to 2, and the food is truly authentic Mexican cuisine at its best. There’s a bit of everything, fresh flavors, generous portions, and that homemade touch that makes you feel like you’re actually in Mexico. If you’re a real coffee lover, you’re going to be obsessed. Their espresso is outstanding — rich, bold, and truly satisfying. And the desserts… delicious! Their churros are perfect: crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, sweet without being overwhelming. The place is beautiful and full of natural light, giving it a warm, inviting vibe. Our server was incredible — she carried what looked like 10,000 heavy plates on one tray with the grace and balance of someone from Cirque du Soleil. A performance all on its own. In short: 100% recommended. Exceptional food, fantastic service, and a beautiful atmosphere. Looking for a great spot to eat in Orlando? ✨ Save this post for your next lunch date and check out El Patrón — you’re going to love it. #OrlandoFoodie #ElPatronOrlando #AllYouCanEat #MexicanFood #OrlandoEats #FoodReviews

I had such a wonderful experience dining here. The Mexican food is simply outstanding, full of rich and authentic flavors. Every dish was tasty, fresh, and beautifully prepared. The cocktails were just as impressive — creative, refreshing, and well-balanced. They paired perfectly with the food and kept the meal exciting. The portions are generous and truly satisfying. Service was amazing — attentive, friendly, and always with a smile. The whole atmosphere felt welcoming and lively. Overall, a perfect spot for great food, drinks, and vibes!

I had the most wonderful experience at this restaurant! From the moment I walked in, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The customer service was absolutely amazing Valentina was so friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure we had a great time. The food was absolutely delicious everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can really taste the love and authenticity in every bite. To top it all off, they surprised me with a special birthday dessert, which made the evening extra memorable. They even had someone taking professional photos for souvenirs, which was such a fun and unique touch that made the night even more special.

My wife and I have decided that this is one of our favorite Mexican restaurants ithat we have tried. We've been to dozens of Mexican restaurants in Arizona, Texas, etc and we decided that this is one of our must go to when we're in town! On week days, they have an all you can eat buffet (including desserts) and everything was top notched. We tried the tri-tip, which is not my favorite cut, but here, it was so tender, you can cut it with a fork. Of course, they had plenty of my favorites (Pazole, Chicken Tamales, a great Chicken stew) and plenty more to sample at the buffet. Our server, Carolina was the nicest and helpful person and plied us with Flan and Churros. We really haven't flown down to Florida in a while, but after a refresher meal Patron's, we will be flying back soon!

This is not the first time I’ve been here but it’s the first time for my husband. He initially did not want to have Mexican on this trip because we eat it so much in our hometown. But I told him he would not be disappointed if we came here. He definitely was not! Everything that we had including the service and the atmosphere was absolutely fantastic! This is the only Mexican place I want to go and all of Orlando or possibly even Florida for that matter.

Google
On vacation looking for good lunch and found great lunch! Wonderful margaritas, guacamole was huge and fresh! I got pollo loco and my husband got shrimp tacos- huge portions but also the ingredients were fresh and delicious . The hostess was very nice and our bartender /server Patricia was amazing! We’ll definitely come back on our next trip here! Ps. If you like hot sauce - get their house made mango habanero hot sauce!

Google
We did the lunch buffet for a birthday celebration and it was really a nice time. We went early and it wasn't busy or noisy. Food was delicious with plenty of options. Enjoyed making my own tacos and taco bowl with hot queso. Only thing didn't care for was the churros dessert as it was hard and flavorless. Overall would go back again soon.

Yelp
Food - 3 Service - 3 Atmosphere - 4 We had some issues with our order and managing through a dietary restriction. The service is friendly but they seemed a little too busy. I always have about hard time with paying for chips and salsa but that's they roll there. The enchiladas were ok - a little too spicy. The carne asada was really good. Guacamole is good but $14. Good margaritas. I'm not sure I will be coming back.

Yelp
Food, service, and ambience all at 100% I came out waddling because I ate so much! Why? Because the food was amazing! Chips and guacamole are to die for!

Yelp
Place is very cozy and great atmosphere, food was great and good flavor with great portions , now the waitress was ok , she forgot my drink and she never check with us during the whole time , otherwise I could it remember her she miss my drink, also prices on food are little high , also waitress didn't had any suggestions or tell us was happy hour time , otherwise I could it order some margaritas , definitely staff needs improvement and prices are little less this place could be a mine

Yelp
We went to El Patron on our last night in Orlando. After suffering through many mediocre meals in Orlando (most places serve banquet quality food) we were very pleased with our dinner at El Patron. I believe that our server's name was Carolina. She was awesome. She knew everything about the menu and the ingredients. She helped us navigate some dietary needs and just made our whole experience enjoyable. The food was excellent. We started with empanadas, had a couple of drinks, and both opted for the enchilada dinner for our main plate. Everything was super authentic. Coming from LA we were surprised at how good everything was. Props to the chefs! We would definitely return if we ever found ourselves back in Orlando.

Yelp
I was disappointed on this visit to be honest. We came here last time and everything was wonderful. The food was good, but the customer service this time was horrible near the end. I had to grab a random server to bring our bill and that sucks. The food was still good and the place is still beautiful, just be consistent with good customer service the whole way through.

Angelica G.

Yelp
The food here is good. We tried the Mexican bowl with chicken Burrito and kids meal - Cheese tortilla s or quesadillas of cheese only with a side of rice All great choices nice and tasty- good portions. The service could improve. Although we were a big table of like 15 who showed up out of nowhere on a Wednesday afternoon. So at least they weren't busy and had time to take care of us. However there was a mistake on one of the bills and I feel our server was not very attentive. You had to ask for things because she would never check on how we were... Ambiance was good- love the decor and it was nice and quiet also family friendly
google avatar

Alice Z.

Yelp
Ordered tacos to go and they were amazing. Tried the Al pastor and birria tacos, guacamole, and Mexican corn on the side. Everything was delicious. The salsa was the perfect amount of spice
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing is an understatement! Best authentic Mexican food I've had in years! Best margaritas as well! Carolina provided outstanding service as our waitress! Awesome experience with food, drink, service, and atmosphere!
google avatar

Yelp
Food was really good, I had a chicken quesadilla and my Husband had 3 tacos, both really good! I also had, the house margarita this one was ok nothing to go back for maybe I try a diff one next time. Service was really good fast and on point. Ambiance was really nice and cute decor.

Yelp
Amazing brunch buffet alongside a fantastic menu, don't sleep on El Patron Restaurante Mexicana! The brunch has plenty of options but you can also order from several egg selections made fresh from the kitchen along with a number of dessert options - all included in the price. Being from out of town, this will be a must stop whenever I am in the area. Highly recommend.

Yelp
First time visiting El Patron Mexican Restaurant! I will say that the food was good and will definitely will come back to try some other food. Service was fairly quick based on the restaurant attendance. The ambience was very festive, with flags all over the ceiling.

Yelp
LUNCH BUFFET Seriously, so fantastic. They had pozole! They had horchata! They had a carving station! wins all around. Make it a dinner buffet too and I'm never leaving. Lovely service. I was surprised it wasn't busier at lunch. This is a great deal and the food is yummy.
google avatar

Ava K.

Yelp
Came here to try their weekday lunch buffet. It was awesome! So much food for $18.99. They had a great variety of items plus a carving station. We got there at 11:15 and it wasn't too busy but when we were leaving at 12:30, the place was packed. We loved it and will definitely be back. Our server was awesome constantly checking on us. All the staff were nice and the buffet was delicious.

Yelp
While running errands in Orlando, we decided to uncharacteristically stop for lunch. I admit the fact there were over 2k positive reviews caught our attention. Let's get this out of the way, since it has come up in other reviews. Yes it is pricey or pricier than some Mexican restaurants but let me ask you this: when was the last time you took a bite of anything and had your eyes roll back in you head? One bite of my rebozado shrimp taco and that is exactly what metaphorically happened to me. As for specifics, the guacamole appetizer might well have been the best guacamole I have ever had. Thick chunks of avocado studded the dish and joined with the other fresh ingredients in a harmonious blend of flavors. Our waiter, Luis, recommended the alambre asada tacos and he did not steer us wrong. By the way I had two tacos and that was more than enough. Speaking of Luis; he was the perfect waiter- there when we needed him with helpful suggestions, he also checked back on us several time and generally exuded an enthusiastic charm without being intrusive. It is a delicate balancing act he performed with aplomb. The addition of the mariachi band and the roving photographer made for a fun impromptu Sunday afternoon lunch. Solid 4.5 stars PS: the bathroom was spotless- spotless like Buc-ee's spotless or your mom is coming to dinner spotless.

Yelp
We came on Sunday and had the brunch buffet. It was delicious! With so many food options. I was very happy with my choices. And the dessert was amazing as well! I was very impressed.

Yelp
Food was excellent!! Staff very friendly and helpful. Ask for Luis for your server

Yelp
I'm starting to give up trying to find authentic Mexican cuisine here in Florida and El Patron was just another disappointing place to me. It seems to me that Mexican restaurants in Tampa (and El Patron, the only Mex place I tried in Orlando) don't understand the importance of Cumin and Coriander in making authentic Mexican flavor. My Burrito would have been so much better tasting if these two spices were added to its ingredients. A good meal otherwise, but missing those southwest flavors I so enjoy in Arizona and New Mexico.

Caitlin M.

Yelp
The steak nachos and margaritas convinced me to go and they are the reasons I will be coming back! We went for an early lunch and it was empty, a big booth for a family of 5 was roomy and comfortable. We ordered the steak (a little too well done for my liking) but my brother loved it, and they were detail oriented enough to remember our order modifications for our 2 picky eaters. Steak nachos, taco salad, guacamole with chicharrones, and shrimp tacos were amazing and flavorful.

Yelp
My first time here for Brunch. The restaurant is in a shopping plaza, plenty of parking. The location is full of fun vibrant decor. I loved that there was a Mariachi playing when we arrived. We have the option to do the brunch buffet or order from the menu. We decided to try the buffet. There are plenty of options for all different types of appetites. Beef, chicken, chorizo, shrimp. Everything I tried was well seasoned. I couldn't try all the food they offered. The items I tried were very good. The large drink menu is great with many options. I had the bottomless Mimosas. My friends had the orchata. There is a nice size bar with a TV as well. I will be back to try dinner and margaritas. Our server was great, polite and attentive.
google avatar

Belkys C.

Yelp
I have been coming to this restaurant for at least seven years as the time keep on passing by this place keep on getting more expensive in and the menu keeps on getting smaller. I always order sopa de res which the price lightly went up however the soup is good. On the drinks it's ridiculous expensive and they change the glasses, now are smaller for more money. It's ridiculous. You can go to a better place with this kind of money for a Mexican restaurant , now around the area we have so many.
google avatar

Zach D.

Yelp
The ambiance is really cool with a great high end Mexican restaurant vibe. The guacamole was fresh and the biggest portion I've seen.
google avatar

Jacqueline J.

Yelp
I came here for dinner with my husband. Food was pretty good, I give it an 8/10. I got the mole enchiladas and my husband got the sampler. The sampler itself was big enough to be the main dish for the both of us. I liked the enchiladas, they had a good amount of sauce. I took off a star because they do not offer complimentary chips and salsa. I think that should be included at a Mexican restaurant, especially one that is more expensive...
google avatar

Kamale D.

Yelp
Just got off our cruise and craved Mexican food. Decided to come here and surprisingly they had a buffet, this was a first for me. Everything was hot fresh and full of flavor. We sat at the bar and our bartender Patty was very attentive and sweet. Great buffet deal and drink specials! The $5 tequila shots had us feeling good.
google avatar

Yelp
My husband and I have been looking for a good Mexican place in the area, and decided to give El Patron a try. The restaurant is located in a strip mall, which was kind of confusing to us at first. Upon entering the restaurant, the decor gave traditional Mexican Cantina vibes, and we were seated near the bar. Our server was friendly, and consistently checked on us throughout our meal. Chips and salsa were brought to the table immediately. I decided to try the green apple sangria, which was absolutely delicious! My husband ordered the birria tacos, which were okay but could have used more flavor. I ordered the mole enchiladas which were also okay, but the Mole was not my favorite (Mole negro is always my go-to at any Mexican restaurant if it is on the menu.) The side of rice and beans was delicious! For reference my husband and I moved to Orlando from Los Angeles, one of the biggest Mexican food scenes in the US, we felt like a lot of the places we have back in LA had better flavor. Overall good experience, just wish the food had more flavor.
google avatar

Scotty A.

Yelp
The buffet for this place is amazing! Freshly cooked meats, protein and fixings make it a full service bar. The regular menu is not expansive so you can find traditional Hispanic entrees to fit your appetite. The service is great and there's a full bar for your beverage choices as well. 5 STARS!!!

Yelp
After visiting downtown Disney and trying to find a dinner spot around 10pm, I stumbled across this place on Yelp and it did not disappoint! There is plenty of parking in the lot in front of the restaurant. Upon entering, the place seemed a bit more upscale, but the prices were reasonable especially for the amount of food you get! My family and I ordered the enchiladas, chimichanga, buritto and a buritto bowl. I initially ordered the enmolades enchiladas, but the waiter had me try the sauce first before going with it. I'm so happy he did because it was sweeter and had some kick but overall didn't like the sweetness so opted for the regular enchiladas. We got our food in about 10min which was super fast. The enchiladas were delicious, and I got 3 of them stuffed with chicken along with a side of rice and beans. I'm really appreciated the fact that the sauce was not tangy but mild and easy to digest. My dad's burrito and mom's burrito bowl were also pretty good and super filling. I had a bite of my brother's chimichanga and really liked it too since it wasn't too heavy given the cheese dip and deep fried tortilla. Our waiter checked on us throughout the meal to make sure everything was going well which was much appreciated. I would highly recommend this place if you're looking for Mexican place near Disney Springs!
google avatar

Alisha M.

Yelp
Dined here for the first time to celebrate my cousin's birthday dinner and enjoyed our meal! Upon entry the vibe of the place definitely fits the theme of a fiesta. The colors and decorated ceiling really give you a lot to admire. I started off with a habanero margarita that really packed a kick but I thought it was perfect! For my meal I ordered the quesobirria tacos which were good but the flavors didnt blow me away. Overall I would definitely return and try other dishes!
google avatar

Lauren H.

Yelp
Holy smokes! This place was amazing! We did order to go so we have not timed in the restaurant, but we will definitely be planning to go in person to see the atmosphere, maybe a margarita or two, and more! I ordered the sampler platter because I was not sure what to order! Everything was delicious. The mini chimichangas were not that great because it is too much tortilla to meat ratio. The empanadas were delicious and had a lot of flavor. The taquitos I will definitely get again! And the tamales were flavorful and a little spicy as well. Their queso dip was perfect with their homemade chips! They remind me of the place that I used to eat at when I lived in Colorado.
google avatar

Jared D.

Yelp
After seeing they had gluten free options, my family and I made a reservation. So glad we did. The food was absolutely delicious. Nothing special about the ambiance inside. It's a typical Mexican restaurant feel. Service was good overall. Food delivery was quick and the wait staff was very nice. Great visit!
google avatar

Randy C.

Yelp
First time here, we have heard a lot about it, but it is not conveniently near us so it took us a while. Nice ambience, well decorated and quiet music playing in the background. The Tacos were amazing! I prefer the hard shell ones so I did the mix and match of Carnitas, Pollo, and Alambre Asada. The Asada was by far the best, bursting with flavor, not that the others were not flavorful but the steak-WOW. Only disappointment was I felt the staff was annoyed with the time it took for us to order, as previously mentioned it was our first time so it took some time to navigate the menu and I did not find them very helpful to us in doing so (no, they were not busy) overall I recommend this place for Authentic Mexican Cuisine and I will definitely return!
google avatar

Anna D.

Yelp
This has been here for years and I finally tried it. The ambiance is relaxing with attractive decor and soft lighting. The service was quick, polite and pleasant but not extremely friendly. The food was good with excellent flavor but somewhat overpriced for what you get. There is a charge for chips and salsa and an up charge to get rice and beans. I think it was good but the place across the street was better.
google avatar

Kendra W.

Yelp
Enjoyed an evening with a girlfriend. Good choice for a quick meal and margarita together. Service was helpful and timely. Would definitely return.

Yelp
Three words....Amazing , Must try ! Food was spot on, from appearance , smell all the way through to taste, absolutely incredibly. We found a review and thought let give it a try but wow. The Restaurant its self , well laid out with plenty of space great decor setting the ambiance for this up market Mexican restaurant. Staff were welcoming and friendly as well as extremely well attentive with respect to guidance of some of there specialties and what we as a family may like to try all the way through to making sure drinks were always topped up. Highly recommend this restaurant and the family and I will be back. Thanks again to all the team at El Patron.

Yelp
There were good and not so good parts of our visit but I would give it another try because the food tasted great! My enchiladas came out with shredded beef when I ordered grilled chicken, it was really good either way so I kept it. The rice and beans were really cold like they came out of a fridge, but I didnt really have room for them anyway, I told the server and he asked if I wanted them heated up, so it could have been resolved but it wasnt a huge deal in the moment as I was full. They have an all you can eat taco buffet on tuesdays that a few of my boys got and it looked really good!! A little pricey but right next to disney its not surprising. Service was okay, our server was nice but not great with refills or noticing that we were completely finished for a good 15 minutes with plates cleared, I had to send my youngest to the car because he was getting antsy. Everybody around us got asked if they were finished and we were left sitting until I flagged him to ask for the check as he tried to walk past after asking the table next to us if they were done. Overall the food is good and the place is clean! Im going back for that taco tuesday buffet!
google avatar

Kevin P.

Yelp
I heard unlimited tacos and knew I needed to check this place out so that's what I did on a Tuesday night with some friends and it was the best decision I've made this year. For $25, I ate 12 tacos and did not regret it at all. I love the concept of going up to get your tortilla and choosing the type of meat you want with someone behind the counter preparing it for you. The variety of toppings is great and really adds to the flavor of each bite. The service is good and they refilled my water often and even brought napkins when they noticed we were running low. The ambiance is darker but plenty of light for you to see your beautiful taco creations. It's a Monday night right now and I'm already planning on going tomorrow for TACO TUESDAY BONUS*: get the brisket by the end of the counter, it's the tastiest and the juiciest
google avatar

Yelp
Great service, food was excellent! Beautiful setting, music etc. the salsa "chefs kiss"
google avatar

Yelp
I love this place. I've come many times for their lunch buffet, easily the best priced option. They have great service at the buffet line too, they have a carving station. The ambiance is ok, but the food makes up for it

Yelp
I came to El Patron on a Sunday night around 7:30pm and there was a wait. The host takes your number and texts you when the table is ready. It was around a 20 minute wait and I received a text in 15 minutes. When you walk in the restaurant, there is a cute photo op. The restaurant is very vibrant and fun. When I sat at my table, my server quickly greeted me. I was starving so knew what I wanted to order. I got guacamole, salsa, and chips. The guacamole and salsa were so good. The portions were big since it was only me. For my entree, I ordered the carne asada. It comes with Mexican rice and I got black beans instead of refried beans. The steak was delicious. I wanted churros for dessert but was too full. Service was good. My check came to $50 which wasn't bad. I really enjoyed everything and recommend. It was also walking distance from my hotel so such a great find.
google avatar

Nina W.

Yelp
The food was really tasty, and the whole place has a fun Mexican fiesta vibe. I happened to visit during a huge party, so the service was slower than usual--we waited a bit for refills, the check, and to get boxes. Still, the staff was friendly whenever they came by. I'd just recommend trying to avoid sitting near large groups if you want quicker service.

Jorge C.

Yelp
We came before starting our day in Orlando. The food was amazing, we had the chicken fajitas and the nachos. Service was super quick and we were able to check in right away and get seated at our table. They came right away to take our order including our drinks which were really good. We got the diamante margarita, highly recommend. The location was clean and they removed the plates instantly, the music was not blasting but just enough to carry the conversation with our party. Will be visiting for our next Orlando trip! A plus was getting our picture taken, creating long lasting memories! Thank you again for everything.

Yelp
So main reason I'm writing this review is to praise our waiter. Luis was exceptional. Food was also great. Everything on point, but rarely do you get the chance to HAVE to ask to speak to a manager so you can let them know how amazing the service was. As the place was very busy, he still took the time to answer questions, get extras like hot sauce, or to make a happen a weird request like making a Cadillac margarita spicy (even came with a roasted dehydrated jalapeño), and give recommendations that was SPOT on. We had the El Patton Fajitas and the Enchiladas (forgot what it was called but it was the shredded beef one). Both the refried beans and black beans were great. All in a 10 out of 10 experience. Thank you Luis!
google avatar

Lisa J.

Yelp
I loved it! Our waiter was very attentive. Kept our soft drinks filled. We had guacamole as an appetizer and it was very good. We also had tacos on both flour and corn tortillas - birria, fish, grilled shrimp with the side of rice and refried beans. I've had rice and refried beans from many different Mexican restaurants but this by far was the best for me. Their rice was seasoned very nice. I thought all the food was great and fresh. The ambiance is nice too. Definitely a try if you're in the area looking for Mexican. I loved it.
google avatar

Yelp
If you are gluten free don't wage ur time. They seem to think that if food is made in the same fry oil as other items it's safe to it's well guess what that means it isn't gluten free anymore. So they should probably change the GF to gluten friendly as in they don't care about people with food allergies. It's about to be 2025 how are places still sharing the same fryer as other items. Let me share the chips are made in The same fryer as everything else. So sad that something so easy and basic they can't even do.
google avatar

Danielle B.

Yelp
We ate here on a Tuesday for their Taco Tuesday buffet. It was delicious. Anything we tried we lived. The fresh grilled corn tortillas were perfect. The sides were all fantastic- especially the veggies. All the desserts were yummy too. Fresh food and a great price. Worth the trip for sure! Great service , clean and lots of seating!
google avatar

Yelp
This is not our 1st time coming to Patron. Usually ambience is good and service as well. This time from get go we had server who was uninterested to accommodate any request. She was rushing us and looked displeased that we took time to make our chooses. Once the food was ordered it came relatively quickly. We started with white queso. And after we ordered vegy burrito and Mexican bowl with chicken. Food was very uninspiring blah. It was fool of rise and was falling apart. Overall bad experience that will prevent us from coming back when we get back to Orlando. Shame as this was our go to Mexican when in Orlando.

Yelp
Saw the sign while driving through ORL that it was less than 1/2 mile away and yep we gotta try em' Ordered my Michelada of course with Modelo cerveza-the best to mix it with as the Tajín spices blends well with the Clamato :) We ordered Tacos with various flavors-from the Cabeza (Head) Tripe and the main course- Mole' Pizza from Oaxaca-a native Mexican specialty with the chocolate sauce that is so flavorful-Delicioso! The ambiance was awesome-music was on-point-if it was nighttime I would've probably danced a bit after 2 more Micheladas and a Tequila shot jaja The service was excellent and the staff was quite accomodating and cheerful. (Cinco Estrellas) 5 Stars all way. We arrived after lunchtime around 2PM and there were still lots of amigos getting their meals on. We will definitely be back here at El Patron, now that we have tried it and will try other yummy items on the menu! #GraciasElPatron
google avatar

Yelp
The atmosphere of the restaurant is so fun and festive. The menu has a wide selection of Mexican favorites with a great margarita menu! Service was subpar but the food was delicious. We tried a burrito and a chimichanga and both were yummy. They offer an all you can eat lunch buffet which I'd love to come back and try one day.

Yelp
Coming from Hawaii, I really hope to get quality Mexican food. We don't really have it in Hawaii. My wife tried out El Patron yesterday, and really liked it. We all decided to go today. Our waiter was good and service was good. The ambiance was a traditional Mexican restaurant vibe, even with a few folks going around playing live music. My tamales and pozole was very good! I'll go again if I'm in the Orlando area.
