El Perro de Pavlov Café

My favorite coffee shop in La Latina! Super cute place, very good coffee and cakes. I love their banana bread and tarta de queso. The only issue is that the place is small, so you can have trouble to sit if you go during busy hours.

Went there for brunch on 7 Nov 2025. Ordered 2 of their toast dishes, and they were great! Hummus was really good and paired well with the serrano ham that we had added on, while the tomato’s sweetness on the other dish was such a delightful complement to the added cured ham. However, one drawback about the place was the presumable undertone of racial bias - as my partner and I didn’t speak Spanish, service to us was considerably slower and colder (in comparison to the table next door).

Truly amazing place! It's the perfect spot to enjoy a coffee with a delicious cake. The cafe boasts an amazing and cozy atmosphere that makes you want to linger, and the staff are incredibly friendly, always making you feel welcome. And a huge thank you for being dog friendly 🐕 – it's wonderful to find such a welcoming environment for our little friends!

A very typical and warm place in La Latina. I had a delicious Matcha latte with a pinch of flower petals on top of it, so delicate ! Prices are correct, maybe cheaper than in other places 👍🏼

Simple and good. It feels like home here. The food tastes homemade, I loved that coffee—rich milk and great beans. Everyone was so kind, and it's just so cozy. We got tomato and cheese toast, jam and butter toast, and hummus toast. They were all delicious, but the tomato with cheese was the best.

a not so hidden gem! great coffee paired with amazing desserts (we had the vegan one, yum). The british barista (and the owner?) was super nice and made the experience even better, so did the quirky interior. Totally worth visiting

Found this place thanks to my Spanish teacher. It's a cozy corner in La Latina neighbourhood, with delicious food and a wide variety of coffees, lattes, etc. I went there a couple of times already and whenever I want to study or relax with a book and a cup of coffee, this is always the place I choose. I highly recommend their cakes and brookies and if you want to drink something special I'd go for a chai golden or pink but also their seasonal specialties. The café is a nice, cozy and retro-looking place, perfect for an escape from the chaotic Madrid and the staff is gentle and friendly. They all speak English and are very patient with people like me who are trying to speak Spanish.

What a discovery! Best coffee and breakfast you will find in Madrid (the pan con tomate was so delicious, i had it twice!). Quality ingredients, service with care and a friendly smile, and a beautiful ambience. A must visit! My new regular :-)

Adorable little cafe. Dog friendly which scores high in my books. I ordered a flat white and it was delicious. Super creamy. Only but was it took a while for them to take my order. It's a small place and I was standing at the counter for a bit. But not a huge deal. They're super friendly and service was good. Would go back.

Coffee is excellent and the staff are so friendly! I can't wait to return! We also brought our friend who is a Pedro! And he was treated like royalty with a bowl of water!

Very cozy and nice place, if you are looking for good coffee this is your place. Very nice person doing everything at the moment so if you order the toasts it might take a couple minutes but you won't regret waiting those minutes for your "tostas".

Service is wonderful, owner is very hospitable and speaks English very well. Had a daily smoothie which was very fresh and an avocado toast on sourdough bread which was absolutely delicious! Small coffee shop worth a visit.

Had a cafe latte and the "pink" latte for drinks. Also had the carrot cake. All were delicious. Service is excellent.
