Located in a building dating back to the 15th century, El Portalón has a lot of medieval character to pair with it’s delicious dishes. I enjoyed the cultural history, ambiance and food.
However, the waitress was quite disrespectful to our (appropriately behaved, spanish-speaking, hungry) group of six. She had three other people besides ourselves in the dining room, yet was neglectful, forgetful, and unfriendly. Our food came out at completely different times, with several of us having entirely finished our meals before the rest of the main dishes came out.
The food was good and I would recommend visiting - but the service was subpar for the price, to say the least.
