This seems to be an old motor hotel that has been refurbished and is a pleasant place to stay. The rooms are large, (we asked for two queen sized beds),and clean. The included breakfast is worth the visit. The two people in charge of the food are whirlwinds who deliver the best variety of breakfasts. The hot coffee is served and the half and half is kept fresh and coming. You can eat out on the covered patio or in the dining area. Very comfortable.

The hotel location is pretty good, north of the downtown area. It takes 15 min to walk there. The rooms are small and it is not possible to eat inside if you are more than 2 people. Still, they are plenty of pleasant outside tables in the hotel's park. Pool is nice but don't expect swimming. The greatest thing about this hotel was the breakfast 👌. They offer tamales and burritos in addition to the more classical scrambled eggs and potatoes. One big disappointment though, was the poor sound insulation of the rooms. We could here the conversations from the room next door which made it difficult to get to sleep. Overall, we expected a better experience given the price that we paid.

This was a relaxing location to stay just north of downtown. It was an easy walk to the main areas. The breakfast was one of the best I’ve had with waffles, toast, bagels, muffins, cereals, hot items of eggs, meat of the day, tamales, and juices. The service was fantastic and you can tell they care about the place. The hot tub, pool, grounds with horseshoe and corn hole with a bbq area make it enjoyable. The room was large with a lovely patio that made it enjoyable to sit out and hear the birds, enjoy the breeze, and chill. The bed was comfortable with enough pillows to feel rested and the room was very clean. I would stay here again if I’m in the area!

Loved our 2 night Taos stay here. Walkable or short drive to city shops & restaurants. The room was spacious. Enjoyed the balcony…but I accidentally locked myself out on it. Good thing I had my phone to call front desk. The pool was nice. Best part was the delicious buffet breakfast each morning. The grounds were well maintained. And we felt safe staying here.

We stayed here for a concert at Kit Carson park. The room was clean, the location is great (short walk to the park), and the amenities are fantastic. We really enjoyed the chips and salsa at check-in and the amazing breakfast in the morning. We will 100% stay here again. It's so charming! Beds and bedding are very comfortable.

This place is terrific. The property is well maintained with beautiful grounds that have mature trees, and many flower beds. Our room was clean and comfortable. No problems there. They have a very nice breakfast with many hot foods and pastries, Espresso and juice. It is walkable to the main downtown area of Taos. I like the pool and hot tub as well as a picnic area with tables and charcoal grills that you can use. They also set up cornhole boards and horseshoe pits. Overall, it’s very cozy and relaxing place for a good price

Google
I was beyond impressed with El Pueblo Lodge! It is in a wonderful location in Taos and you can tell the owners truly care about the hotel - from the bathroom mirror details to the tiles and decor, it is such a beautiful place to stay! The beds are so comfortable and the complimentary breakfast in the morning was delicious! The TV has several cable channels including HBO. The staff were friendly, pleasant, and ready to assist. The chocolate chip cookies that greeted us were so good too! The pool was closed when we visited last weekend but the maintenance person kindly uncovered the jacuzzi for our use under the stars. Thank you for a perfect stay!

I really liked this old motel with a retro vibe. We had a room on the second floor which I liked because of the outdoor seating overlooking a grassy area for kids and dogs to play. (But if you can’t carry your own suitcase up a flight of stairs you might want to request a first floor room. ) The room was spacious the bathroom tiny but clean. I liked that there was a lot of outdoor seating on the patio and grass. There was a pavilion with grills too. Thebreakfast and staff were definitely better than most hotels. |I thought that for the money this was a good deal.

Yelp
We spent two nights in a lovely room with a working wood fireplace. Unfortunately it was not cold enough to use it. When road construction is over, it will be close enough to walk into town.

Yelp
Good location, reasonable price. Our room was spacious and had a private balcony. The shower was acceptable. Breakfast was amazing! Eggs, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, bean and cheese burritos, chicken tamales, fresh fruit, waffles, yogurt and more. My only issues were that we had a second floor room with no elevator, and the handrails are not ADA compliant, and the walls between the guest rooms must be quite thin as apparently we were watching tv at 10:30 pm and our neighbor knocked on our door to ask us to turn down the volume which wasn't very loud. (I was actually sleeping.). II'm giving 5 stars but it prob should be 4 1/2.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Love the balcony. Great value. Great location. Great service. Probably the best hotel breakfast we've had, and we've had a lot. Love the chocolate chip cookies. The only downside is that the hot tub wasn't working, but no biggie. Just a great experience. Missing the extras already. Our hotel in Ouray, Colorado, doesn't have a great breakfast or chocolate chip cookies. Highly recommended.

Yelp
My family had a great week here. Lots of options for breakfast, stuff for kids and adults. Loved the green chile sauce for my eggs, the fancy coffee machine, and also loved the biscuits and gravy. Kids had yogurt and cereal. Breakfast staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. We unexpectedly had a down day and the Lodge was the perfect place for it. Outside games and picnic areas, heated pool and hot tub, a dog walk area for the dog to, you know what. An easy walk to restaurants and shops. Hopefully the construction in downtown will be over soon. It was only a hassle when driving or when taking a mid-day nap. We hope to come back soon!

Yelp
And it continues, flights from Taos to San Diego cancelled until THURSDAY so had to find a quick alternative to get back to Cali on Sunday. Decided to drive my rental from Taos to Albuquerque, and only flight out was at 7:30am. White knuckle drove at 4am from Taos, with day old breakfast sandwiches in tow, and made it to the ABQ airport in time for boarding at 7am. Now on my flight through Austin to Santa Ana, then a bus back from Orange County to San Diego. I have one more biscuit left. Thank goodness for El Pueblo Lodge Breakfast for keeping me going this entire weekend.

Yelp
This place was amazing the staff, breakfast, cottage feel. Highly recommend would definitely stay again Thank you

Yelp
We spent 2 nights in the El Pueblo Lodge. The lodge is conveniently located within walking distance of the downtown / plaza area and close to the recently-reopened Taos Pueblo. Being within walking distance doesn't, unfortunately, mean the sidewalk is easily passable. During our walk, we had to dodge overgrown plants and other obstacles. This is a pretty basic local place to stay... other than the absolutely fabulous breakfast. Breakfast includes the usual hotel/motel cereals, scrambled eggs and breads, but what makes El Pueblo special are the regional treats like tamales and wonderful (but not overly spicy) burritos. There are chips and salsa and chocolate chip cookies available in the afternoons. And when the office is open, the great coffee machine is available, as are hot water and tea. The 1st floor room we stayed in faced the pool. Inside, there were few outlets to charge devices but we managed just fine. There was a fridge but no microwave. There was a small table and chairs out front to lounge in on cool evenings. There are no elevators so if you have a 2nd floor room be prepared for stairs. We understand that there are also much bigger / better rooms available than ours was. Taos is a very expensive place to stay, and El Pueblo is no exception, but the financial bite can be reduced somewhat with their excellent breakfast... and by using an on-site charcoal grill.

Yelp
For the first time in forever we tried a local lodge/motel instead of a hotel chain. I would have to say that the room was clean and quaint. However with the door directly to the outside there was car noise etc. and you can hear people next door talking, watching tv. I would have to say that the free breakfast was better than a lot of the hotel chains. Lots of choices for bread/pastries, eggs, tacos were good. it was a short walk to the Plaza for shopping, eating etc. Overall a decent place to rest your head.

Justin J.

Yelp
Don't let place fool you. It has 2 pools and the biggest breakfast section i've ever seen. Bed were super comfy with lots of pillows. Didn't know what to think at first but im definitely glad i stayed there.

Yelp
What a great place this is! We came up from Santa Fe for a nice one-night get-away trip and everything about El Pueblo made the visit special. It was clean and the staff was incredibly friendly and even let us check in early, because they said our room was good to go. Even though we could hear people talking on either side of us through the double doors, it was an easy fix: we just flipped the a.c.'s fan switch and had some very nice sound-blocking white noise to sleep by! We also loved how beautiful the grounds were. There was even a little brook that was flowing nicely from all the rain, and we sat in old Adirondack chairs and just closed our eyes and listened. And you probably already know about their breakfast buffet -- hands down, the best in Taos. Seriously, where else can you get make-your-own breakfast burritos and red chile tamales as part of a motel breakfast buffet? My wife and I can't imagine staying anywhere else on our future one-night getaways!

Babiana B.

Yelp
Terrific location and a reasonable price. Walking distance to the Plaza. And a delicious and substantial breakfast!
google avatar

Yelp
Close to town but quiet location. Best breakfast at any hotel, ever. So you must stay for multiple nights because it changes slightly but you'd be happy having the biscuits and gravy for a week straight. Walking distance to downtown, but with a pool, grill, and the burger place across the street - you won't need to leave. I spent the most time at this hotel then I have during any vacation, not that's there isn't much to see in the area-I was just comfortable relaxing here

Yelp
Not everything is about looks. This older motel has been around awhile. Some updates have been made. But it's more than that. My husband and I travel often. Even during Covid. We've never been to a place that cares more about their guests than El Pueblo. They were welcoming at check-in and gave us hot chocolate chip cookies, tortilla chips and salsa, mints, candy, and cleansing wipes. They gave us pages of local restaurant recommendations. They brought extra pillows to our room where other places recently make us come to the lobby for any requests. Their complimentary breakfast was great--waffles/bagels and cream cheese/toast/muffins/sweet rolls/cold and hot cereal/scrambled eggs/bacon/western potatoes/baked beans/biscuits and gravy/burritos/breakfast sandwiches/homemade tamales/fruit/yogurt/a huge variety of drinks. And each employee was super friendly and helpful. Free WiFi. Good tv. Nice fireplace in the room that heated it up quickly. Bath tub! Mini fridge. Coffee maker. Picnic area between buildings. Patio with chairs and table. Comfy beds. They kept everything clean and safe. Thank you for treating us so well.

Yelp
Very nice & clean... very well taken care of. They allow dogs & they serve a very substantial breakfast that is complementary! Breakfast is sausage gravy, biscuits, eggs, sausage patty, papitas, green chile sauce, salsa, breakfast sandwiches, tamales, coffee, tea, juices, cereal, pastries, waffles. Mid afternoon they offer freshly baked chocolate chip cookies, chips & salsa, coffee, tea, juice, and green chile stew. Lots of grass in a courtyard & location is very close to Taos Plaza. They have a few drink vending machines. Towels are very nice& thick...nice toilet tissue. Substantial parking. Staff is very friendly! Balconies in some rooms & nice lawn chair seating. Beds very firm & comfortable with a nice comforter & 4 pillows. Very well insulated room! No microwave but fridge & coffee pot.

Debbie K.

Yelp
This motel is a gem! The most comfortable beds and pillows we had in an 11 day trip. The rooms were big and a/c worked good! Their breakfast is by far, the best we have had at any hotel on our trips. The staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. The woman working the breakfast was amazing! If we ever pass through Taos again, this will be our stop!

Yelp
They had me at hello when I walked in and saw cookies and dog treats on the counter. The room was spacious and cozily decorated. We loved the bed and slept like the dead. There was a frig and a coffee pot. There was also an iron and ironing board. The grounds were landscaped attractively. The pool looked refreshing and guests seemed to have fun it. The breakfast buffet was delicious. They are pet friendly. There's even a little pet area with bags available for picking up after Fido. The hubby and I plan to return.

Yelp
Our car broke down north of Taos so we needed a place to stay. We found this place on yelp. What a great find! I called while waiting for a tow and explained our predicament and the desk woman was very helpful. She arranged to have a room cleaned on our arrival. The room was excellent. It's such a nice place. Large, green grounds with frisbee golf, corn hole and horse shoes. It also has a pool and hot tub. And if that weren't enough, the Lodge is within walking distance of all the Taos shopping and restaurants. Today's breakfast was the best hotel breakfast ever.

Yelp
We've stayed here many times and I wanted to leave a good review because you can tell they are really working hard here to get ready for the upcoming season. The first thing we love about this place is the fact that they happily accommodate families and pets. The second reason we stay here is the food. They have a great breakfast spread, prepared w love by Gloria. Think tamales, smothered burritos, biscuits and gravy, waffles, fruit, etc. She is always happy to see and feed everyone, you can tell she loves her job. Make sure to leave her a cash tip! We added a night to our stay this time and we had to change rooms, but they made sure it was a really nice room. We really appreciated that as return customers. We usually request the rooms with fireplace (they provide piñon and cedar) and balcony on the top floor. Top floor is best. Their beds are comfy, and the down comforters make it cozy on cool nights. Most of the time you can just open windows for cooling during the day and into the evening. Their swimming pool and hot tub is not open yet, but should be very soon they said once they get an inspection. There is a good place to eat across the street for lunch or dinner called the Burger stand. We always eat at least one meal there because of the convenience factor. The only reason I've chosen to give El Pueblo 4 stars is that it can be a noisy place depending on who your neighbors are. This visit was pretty chill, no rowdy neighbors and good sleep!

Yelp
We love everything about this place. Rooms are so comfortable and clean. Staff so helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend it. Hope to return someday. Breakfast is to die for! So yummy and bountiful. Keep up the good work.

Yelp
Nice and clean. Good price for the area. Stayed there 30 plus years ago on my last trip to Taos. I will stay again

Yelp
Hubby & I have stayed at this very cool Pueblo style lodge several times now. We love the local artistic style & the location. Plus they are one of the only ones that have both a heated pool & a giant hot tub. We have stayed at many places in & around Taos from moderate to Super Expensive & this is now one of our favorites. The queen rooms are cute, but I found them to be too small for us. The king rooms are the best. They are YUGE & have a little Kiev fireplace, which is very romantic in the mountains. The fireplaces come fully stocked with wood, kindling, small twigs, matches etc., LOVE! We didn't have to go get anything for the fireplace it's all there already. The rooms also have giant flat screen tv's with all the premium channels, tub/shower combos, frig, microwave, SMALL old style coffee pot & a closet. This last time we visited we had a king room that we could pull right up to & unload. YAY! Very nice, bc if you have ever traveled in the mountains you know you need a full size cooler, your luggage & some hiking stuff if you plan on seeing some sites. We also had a backdoor to a balcony that had chairs & led to a park like setting across from the office or led to the pool area. It was a Saturday & we found out that Saturday's are "Free Green chili night" in the office so you can wander in there & get a bowl of free green chili. Hubby got some & loved it! :)) The pool is heated & the hot tub is at 104 degrees. It's perfect. I use it every time. The beds are super comfy but the pillows are too soft for me. Not really a complaint bc I carry my own pillow anyway. Just FYI if you need a firm pillow, bring your own. The only complaints I have is the soap sucks. YUCK! It's super dry in the mountains & cheap soap is horrible for your already mountain whipped dry skin. I usually bring my own but I didn't pack any for some reason & we had to use theirs until I could go shop for some good stuff in town. Also, there isn't enough towels in the room. There is a giant thing of nice ones by the pool but only two big ones in the rooms. Also, the thing about the small coffee pot. Its just enough for 2 tiny cups of coffee & the coffee blows. This needs to be upgraded to a full size coffee pot or a modern version. Shameful. Small coffee pots should be banned worldwide. After this last trip, hubby says we need a "Taos Check list" in our phones: Taos Check list! Make reservations. Bring luxurious soap Bring your own pillow Bring tea bags 4 the small communist coffee pot Bring a positive attitude Bring a cooler full of water/drinks/snacks Bring 3 bottles vino instead of 2 (this one is just 4 moi) The office has a wine opener if you forgot yours too. Have fun in Taos :)

Yelp
Come stay here! Nice place, clean room and best breakfast ever included. The only downside is the walls are a little thin

Yelp
This is a fantastic place to stay! Calling it a "hotel" or "motel" draws to mind stereotypical big chains. Let me explain. Setting: El Pueblo has a campus with tall trees, grass, playground, games (horse shoes, frisbee golf, bean bag toss, etc.) picnic areas, and just nice areas to sit and talk/read. Show me a hotel/motel with that! We had a suite. Wow. Comes with a fireplace and free firewood (a man stops by each day to refresh the firewood as needed). It has a nice table and chairs for snacking, small kitchenette with sink, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, etc. There is a sofa and king bed also. It's the little things: Soft facial tissue and TP. Soap bars that are larger than the typical motel chip-of-soap rectangle. I saved the best for last: the people who work there! Front desk reception is welcoming. Plus they bake chocolate chip cookies for you everyday. The piece de resistance is breakfast. Fresh, homemade, fruit salad everyday. Eggs, bacon, sausage, baskets and gravy, breakfast burritos and tacos, bacon/sausage and egg on a home cooked muffin, pancakes, waffles, fresh biscuits, muffins, bagels, . . . AND it is all delicious! We were there for four breakfasts, and tried to at least sample everything. Fresh coffee. A great selection of teas. And the two people manning the kitchen are obviously excellent at prep and cooking, but are just plain friendly and welcoming. It was nice when we were there, so we ate outside on a covered "L" shaped patio. Over the top! Treat yourself to the best! El Pueblo!

Yelp
Very clean establishment. Clean and larger than average rooms. The breakfast is fantastic and some rooms have fireplaces. Worth the effort to stay here. Paris Hilton has enough cash....give some to these folks as you'll see the smile on their faces.

Yelp
We stayed one night while visiting a friend. I was attracted to the vintage look and quaint New Mexico style. Our room was comfy, mattress was a traditional one and firm (not hard) like I prefer. One issue I found was that the bed covering was for a sub zero climate and being that this was July, completely out of season for comfort. Luckily I have encountered this a lot in hotels and I bring my own light blanket. Breakfast was very good, a very nice variety including some southwest favorites. I did find the scrambled eggs quite dry but The tamale and beans were tasty.
google avatar

Emily P.

Yelp
When my mom said we had reservations here ... I had reservations! Taos is one of my favorite destinations. So much to do whether it's food, art, outdoor adventures, or spas. This was a holiday weekend, and we were lucky to get a room. The room we got (#247) was spacious and comfortable. So here we go - Gonna make this fast : 1) Friendly, awesome staff. Carried our luggage to our second story room. Did not want a tip. Tipped him Anyway. 2) GREAT BREAKFAST BUFFET. They even had things like almond milk, gravy, and gluten free options. 3) Centrally located. 4) Clean, clean, clean. 5) Affordable. 6) Going back next month! BOOM!

Yelp
El Pueblo Lodge does not rent to Taos residents. My house is being remodeled and I needed a getaway... I am 72 and they would not rent to me because I am Taos resident. Unbelievable and discriminatory.... I absolutely will NEVER refer my friends or relatives who visit me here to stay there.
google avatar

Michael M.

Yelp
Fantastic, cute, clean motel in a great spot. Very friendly staff, nice pool and laundry facilities too! Room was spacious with two beds, desk, fridge and very clean. We'll stay here again.
google avatar

Juliette N.

Yelp
Really nice place! Right downtown, mere blocks from the Pueblo, very convenient, with ample parking. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. The room was large and sparkling clean, the decor nicely local. The pool is closed for the winter but the hot tub was open and great for our travel-weary bones. The breakfast buffet was great, catering to a wide variety of tastes. This was the highlight of our trip, lodging wise, our only regret that we should have stayed longer.
google avatar

Trina B.

Yelp
AMAZING STAY!!!! Very dog friendly and easily accessible. The rooms are not anything to write home about (looks wise), however the room is comfortable, very large, and cozy. The breakfast was homemade and the best we've had at any of our stays. We are already making plans to come back. Also, if you do stay here-check our the burger stand across the street. Delicious!
google avatar

Jennifer B.

Yelp
We absolutely loved our stay at the El Pueblo Lodge! It's right near the Plaza and is easily walkable to all the sights. Our room was amazing with both a balcony and fireplace - it was so charming and romantic. (I mean, when's the last time you had a working fireplace in a hotel room???) The staff was very friendly and helpful when we asked for recommendations, and they even include breakfast. We'll definitely return!
google avatar

Sue H.

Yelp
Great breakfast and afternoon cookies and appetizers! Room is simple but clean. Newer section is further from the road.

Ken D.

Yelp
Nice, clean room. Hot breakfast included each morning. Wide selection of locally prepared foods. Hot burritos, hot tamales, scrambled eggs, sausage sandwiches. Friendly staff ready to help guests.

Yelp
If you want an affordable charming little stop over ... with the sweetest staff ... you've come to the right place. We unexpectedly found ourselves at the Taos hospital yesterday after our daughter was thrown from a horse. The staff here upgraded us to a handicap room so she'd be able to get in and out easily. We woke this morning to a full buffet of delicious breakfast choices and again the nicest staff. Don't expect the Ritz ... but in their category ... they get 5 stars!

Yelp
The Website pictures lured me in and the reality is better. Wonderful grounds. Our room is large with a king bed, sitting area and beautiful kiva fireplace. Hot tub and pool area perfect. I love our ground floor room (301) with a little patio looking into a grassy cottonwood yard. The breakfast is amazing! Biscuits, eggs, bacon, waffles. The outdoor area breakfast patio is beautiful with NM style furniture large cottonwood trees and umbrellas. This is a wonderful place to stay for adult and families too.

Yelp
The pictures chosen on Yelp show a very different environment than what we saw. We had a room, in need of repair and updating, with a mostly prepackaged but big breakfast buffet.

Yelp
We surely could have spent an extra hundo a night for more luxury. But, we were in Taos for four nights to explore, play golf, eat, and once again socialize with our fellow humans. So we booked a room at El Pueblo, which sadly hasn't yet opened its pool and hot tub but happily has everything else up and running. Everything else includes: wonderful, friendly helpful staff, especially the breakfast room cook, Juan; big king rooms with refrigerators bigger than the hotel usual, plus a microwave (because you might have leftovers), and maybe a kiva fireplace with a loveseat; an awesome selection of breakfast items; easy walking distance to the plaza and its cool shopping and eating; comfy beds; lovely grounds; and a homey Southwestern vibe. It was everything we could want on an adult getaway, except for maybe the children running around next door on one of the nights. (Suggestion: designate a floor or area as family-friendly, or just subtly put quiet-loving adult couples in their own section. The place is big enough.) We especially appreciated the efforts of the cleaning and maintenance staff who keep the place squeaky pristine, feeling comfy but not worn.
google avatar

Greg R.

Yelp
We loved our stay here! We had a room with two queen beds I. One room and a sitting area with a couch, table and chairs, and tv in another. Clean, quaint and with character. We had a nice complimentary hot breakfast with biscuits and gravy, potatoes, eggs, burritos, green chili and salsa. Cereal, yogurt, muffins and toast were also available. Plan to return to Taos to continue to explore and when we do this will be our base camp!

Yelp
Giving this place two stars based upon the breakfast and the location, both of which were good. The bad however outweighed the good. Got in at night and wanted to work out. It was below freezing out and wanted to use their exercise facility, which is lacking. However the power was out in that building so I could not even use it. Ran outside instead. Then the internet really sucked and completely stopped working about an hour after I arrived. Then I tried to watch tv and that too stopped working after a few minutes. It was bizarre. I then tried to go to sleep but the walls are thin and I could hear my neighbors. Took extra long to fall asleep. Come morning the internet was still down, very frustrating.

Yelp
The El Pueblo is probable a 3 star motel but gains star power by keeping a nostalgic feel while staying up to date with descent renovation and good maintenance. Our room was clean, quite and comfortable. There is a huge breakfast bar and a great seating area to relax and make plans for the day. Every member of the staff was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again when we return to the area.

Ryan R.

Yelp
I tried to check in a room at midnight and was rejected because one of the members staying with our party was from town and the management does not allow Local to rent out rooms. Ridiculous.

Julie H.

Yelp
If you want a moderately priced lodge with outstanding service and breakfast, check out EL PUEBO LODGE In Taos, NewMexico. Incredible staff, cozy sleeping, and SW motif.

Charles J.

Yelp
This place is so cute!! I will definitely be staying here again when I go to Taos New Mexico . it's very clean the rooms smell good and the staff are very friendly. the breakfast is Included although it's all not homemade it's a decent breakfast if you like eating crap food like junk food and preservatives .
google avatar

Roberta M.

Yelp
The breakfast alone is worth it. Additionally, the rooms are lovely, the hot tub is open year round, and the service is outstanding. I will stay here whenever I'm in Taos.
google avatar

Tim P.

Yelp
I stayed here for my birthday and honestly I couldn't have asked for a better place, I loved the hotel, I loved how welcoming and helpful the staff was, and I absolutely loved Taos - it is truly a magical place
google avatar

Colette L.

Yelp
Pros: This place is great! They have a fantastic breakfast, the grounds are relaxing and nice. Staff is very nice. In the rooms it seems they've thought of everything: From heaters & fans to electrical outlets. There's also a kitchenette! There's a little patio out of the sliding back door surrounded by lawn and trees. It's fall fight now and it's beautiful with the golden leaves everywhere. Cons: this is why 4 instead of five stars: if you stay on the bottom floor you might have a slightly creaking/popping floor above you. We seem to have some hyperactive neighbors above us. The wifi is slow to non-existent.

Yelp
Total lifesavers here at El Pueblo Lodge. We had to switch hotels mid-trip and these folks took us in. They have accessible rooms with a walk-in shower stall and other accessible rooms with a tub. We got the room with the tub: The bathroom has a wide door so you can wheel a wheelchair right straight in to the toilet. The tub is a shower/tub combo, with safety bars all around the sides, and a metal seat that folds down from the tub wall and rests across the middle of the tub. You can wheel up to the tub, put a towel on the metal seat, transfer to sit on the side of the metal seat, then turn slowly as you lift first one leg into the tub, and then the other leg. The water comes out of a handheld head, so you can sit there and wash easily and safely. The handheld head can then be fastened back up on the wall so that other family members can take a regular shower. The room had a half-height refrigerator, with a freezer section inside. The freezer section was not over-cooling the fridge section -- yay. Coffee maker in room with ice bucket, cups, etc. No in-room microwave, but there is a microwave in the mini cafe. About the mini cafe: This hotel has a legendary complimentary breakfast buffet setup. I see other reviewers have already told you all about it... they speak the truth. We came here to see relatives and were treated that evening to a beautiful snowfall. We opened our drapes to view the courtyard as the snowfall slowly blanketed everything. When my brother went out to his car, he found that the hotel staff had cleared the snow off his windshield for him. Love this place! We'll be back next year.

Yelp
Maybe my favorite stay now. No more dragging suitcases up stairs. Able to park close to the door. The dog park is right by the back door. The breakfast was delicious. Room was quiet, clean and nice tv. Lots of trees. Able to eat outside with my dog on the patio. All in all a welcome relief from big box hotels.

Yelp
Can't say enough great things about our experience here. Location was great - near the downtown area and only about 25 minutes to the ski resort. Hotel personnel were very hospitable and happy to help with our various requests. Rooms were cozy and we loved the fireplace after a long day of skiing. Breakfast was hearty & delicious! A major plus that they loved our dog as much as we do! We would definitely stay here again! Thanks for a great experience!!
