I love this hotel, it's been good to me. I have stayed here many times. The location can't be beat in Ibiza Town, the rooms are good and the premium ones are fantastic.
I wrote a negative review to get the owners to pay attention, which was kind of a valid temper-tantrum.
The manager just recognized me walking in after I wrote this post (I haven't been here in several days so, that's impressive by itself.). We went over the issues I commented on, and she was very attentive and will work with the new owners, Eurostar, to resolve. I don't expect perfection, but it's nice to see a hotel with a strong feedback loop.
I leave the comments below.
1) The Internet is not consistent across the hotel. If you end up in a room away from a router, the Internet does not work. Owners: buy signal amplifiers.
2) Your morning staff takes 10+ minutes to process a transaction. I am trying to pay you money. You make it hard. I literally go get a coffee or go get sushi just to pass the time between when I tell the staff I want to stay another night and when I can pay. They click around on terrible software. Their computers are slow. Three people stand around a computer that is old, slow, doesn't work, and runs on terrible software.
3) Every time I order a drink at the bar, it causes a 10-20 minute cascade of confusion. Every time I ask for a drink for me or my friends, 2-4 people get involved besides the person behind the bar. Train and support your bartenders, even if that's not their only role.
4) Your "Air Conditioning" is not consistent. I got moved to a better room, but the Air Conditioning doesn't make it cool. It's still hot. And I am here in October, in July this room would be unlivable.
5) The gym is really small for the size of this hotel. There is one treadmill, one bike, one machine, and some weights. This is Ibiza, where people will spend an hour a day just to work out their butt muscles so their ass looks better. Not sure how you have this big of a hotel and that small of a gym.
The employees here are wonderful, the location is wonderful. Best hotel in Ibiza Town, hands down.
I recommend Eurostar do the following:
1) Good WiFi signal across every single room in the hotel.
2) Fast service at the front desk -- no slow software, no weird systems that take people minutes to fill out.
3) Train anyone working meals and bar, they should know what they are doing. Servers and Bartenders need to know how to make a two ingredient drink.
4) Air Conditioning everywhere equally. I don't care if you have to install three systems to make it so. This is the most premium hotel in the largest city on an Island that attracts visitors from all over the world for the clubs and the DJs. (You should be sending a tax to DJs and clubs). To have 10-30% of your rooms have ineffective Air Conditioning is not acceptable.
Adding this 1hr after this review. I went downstairs and I asked for a fork. A fork. To eat a dish. There were 5 women behind the front desk, and they all said it was behind the bar. No one walked to the bar to get me one. I walked to the bar get it. There was no one working behind the bar. If a hotel guest asks for a fork, go get them a fork. Take the word fork, and apply it to anything. It does not take five employees to do nothing. If you are going to do nothing, just have no one. Same arrangement.
