El Racó de Madremanya

This is a magical place, and I don't say that without due consideration. Calm, quiet, historical buildings (and some new additions). Beautiful gardens with two swimming pools. Adults-only. Great breakfast. In the middle of nowhere. Get lost here, you will enjoy it.

Excellent hotel and even better service. Will be back for sure. Do not miss the dinners, the food is out of this world.

Definitely the most amazing place ever. It was so quiet and peaceful. The hosts are very friendly and caring. Breakfast was amazingly fresh and good, the homemade yoghurt was so delicious and they would ask how you’d like your eggs and they would make it for you. Dinner was perfect! It was the best in two weeks traveling through Spain. We had the villa with private pool and this was lovely and romantic. It was very clean, had good beds and an amazing bath. We would love to come back and try one of the other lovely rooms they have.

We went to this beautiful adults-only pet-friendly hotel with the idea to relax. Everything was beyond our expectations: food was amazing, a cozy beautiful room (Suite Crema), beautiful surroundings. Air conditioning, bathtub and the rest of installations worked properly with no issues. On the other hand, I have to make a special mention to the beauty and wellness treatments: very professional staff, top quality massages, very special attention. The price was more than correct for what you get at the end - I see some comments about the price been too high but I’ve never been in a hotel in this category with such attention to detail. Some times we need to review our own expectations 😄They even asked us before cutting the grass, in case the noise bothered us. We will definitely come back during winter ❤️ Ps: if you are a cat lover, you definitely should meet Pepito and Pepita, they stole our hearts😍

This is a gorgeous gem of a hotel. A little oasis of calm and serenity. Beautiful grounds, rooms and restaurant. I travelled on my own and never once felt alone. The staff are on hand if you need them, but do not hover. Everything is set up for a wonderful, peaceful vacation. Highly recommend.

We had the most amazing stay in El Raco de Madremanya back in May. Everything from the room to the hotel itself was truly idealic and we would highly recommend to anyone looking to get away for a quiet getaway. We would like to give a special mention to Santi. Santi went above and beyond to ensure we were looked after to the highest of standards. Santi explained everything regarding the surronding area and his attention to detail was above our expectations. Hopefully we will be back in the near future

We had such a relaxing stay at El Raco. It is a bit off the beaten path, but within driving distance to many of the amazing places that Catalunya has to offer. Entering the town of Madremanya makes you feel that stepped back in time. The hotel itself is so relaxing. It is adults only, so it is always peaceful and quiet. The attentiveness of the staff is top notch. They quickly took care of any request for us and were always so professional. Our room was spectacular. One of the pictures below shows the full moon from our private deck. They have 2 pools on the premises and all the grounds are immaculate. The only thing that was not excellent was the dinner. While convenient to get dinner at the hotel, I found the food to be just okay. Not bad, but with how everything else in this hotel greatly exceeds expectations, this was underwhelming. Overall, I highly recommend this place for anyone that is looking to stay around the Girona area. You won't be disappointed.

Such a clam, quiet and beautiful place, run by welcoming people who seem really passionate about their hotel.||We stayed for 3 nights and had a good balance of things to do (Girona, Peratallada, Pubol, Aiguablava) with relaxing in the hotel grounds and pool. ||Our room (the Beige suite I think) was over two floors. Quite rustic but comfortable and clean.
