We ordered for food at about 12 noon after 45 mins. we were informed our ordered was put in the last by mistake and asked us it will take another 15-20 mins. more. We were traveling cross states and we decided to stick with our order. Eventually our food was served at 1:13 PM. Food was nice, not excellent. But young man (sorry.. I couldn’t get our server’s name properly) was very helpful.

Google
The tamales plate (with green chili) was delicious! The Spanish rice as a side did not add anything to it. Perhaps I should have chosen a different side. The chips (from chips and salsa) were a little stale, but looked made in house. The venue could use an update, but it keeps the nostalgic feel of what it used to be. The wait staff is great. The restrooms are accessible through the bar area.

Google
I don't know why we keep having horrible luck with restaurants in Las Vegas. We were driving down from out of state coming thru town. We were looking for a good New Mexican restaurant. Rialto looked interesting. They say they're open. But we pull up and park and lights are out and door is locked, no sign explaining why they're not open. It's 6pm on a Saturday night. Why aren't they open or why don't they have a sign with their hours or explaining what's going on? Ridiculous.

I went on a Friday evening and was able to be seated fairly quickly. Our server was nice and got our food out quickly. There was a gentleman playing music and he was really good! But we were seated right next to him and it got hard to hear the conversation at the table. But overall a great meal!! Chicken wasn't dry and the red Chile was amazing!

Google
This place was amazing! We loved our food and they provided a lot of it. I told our waitress that I have celiac disease and I can't eat gluten. She returned after taking our order to let me know the red sauce has flour in it and asked if I wanted to change my order. This rarely happens that a server has returned to let me know I should change my order. I really appreciate her doing that for me.

My husband and I stopped in for lunch. The dining room was closed, but the bar was open. The seating was comfortable, and the bartender was friendly. Our food arrived fairly quickly after ordering. We both had the taco special, and it was delicious. I switched my side from refried beans to regular beans, and they were yummy. El Rialto doesn't disappoint! I will definitely be back.

Ordered take out on my way through the area. Food was excellent. One suggestion....... lose the Styrofoam containers and use something more sustainable.

Google
Great spot for lunch, I recommend the Rialto Enchilada plate for $13.50, roast beef, chicken and ground beef one each. Masterfully hand crafted with a side of posole!

Yelp
Best red chili in town!! Awesome tacos especially the taco trio. Can get busy as time so come early. Love them margaritas as well.

Yelp
After a week eating only Mexican food in New Mexico, all 4 of us thought this was the best. Gave it 5 stars, because it was better than others in this price range. Great homemade salsa and smoky red sauce. Fajitas were the winner.

Yelp
Family run restaurant that is fine doing so-so. What it does well: The bar is unique with a friendly tender. Where it suffers: The food is edible, but a poor excuse for New Mexican cuisine. Most folks from outside New Mexico seem to conflate the cuisine with Mexican, it's not at all. There is amazing NEW mexican food, unfortunately it is not here. Seems to have gotten comfortable years ago, and has built up over the generations enough regulars that it would surprise me if it ever makes the effort to improve the food. My advice: Tamale plate with drink at the bar. Or, try out the leftovers at Tiendita next door before deciding to spend more!

Yelp
Eaten here a total of 3 times now and was great every time. They also have a few vegetarian options which is great so I can refer my veg friends there. It's perfect for traditional New Mexican food and having a nice sit down meal.

Yelp
It wasn't busy. Took forever for our waitress to find our table to order drinks. One of two fajita orders came out and 7+ mins before the other did. We think they made it wrong and had to start over, but no explanation. Normal fajitas. Normal pour from the bar. The guy taking care of the drinks must not have been as busy as everyone else. Normal guacamole. Hot sauce was good. We didn't have any chips or tortillas. It just didn't seem well organized as to who was working the floor. And pay at the front as you leave.

Yelp
Traveling from Buffalo, NY to Las Vegas, NV (after seeing the eclipse), we stopped in Las Vegas, NM. After driving down Bridge St. we discovered an excellent Mexican Restaurant. 'El Rialto' was not only excellent, but condiments were generous. They not only have in restaurant food, but specialize in catering.

Yelp
We stopped at this great little place to check out NM Mexican food and we were not disappointed! Sat at the bar and Bob (our bartender) made some excellent food recommendations. This is a wonderful example of a small town restaurant with excellent food and atmosphere. If you're in Las Vegas, eat here!

Yelp
House marg $8. Very very sweet. We asked and rec extra limes to tone them down. Chips thin, not salty 10 star good Salsa very good Ambiance lacking ... greeting none... Service ...s l o w but we are not in a hurry soooo we are ok. Food arrived by a pleasant server not our waiter who never spoke once. Tacos were tasty Enchiladas & chili relano good. Would we return on next trip from Castle Rock to Corrales. NO

Colleen A.

Yelp
Everything was amazing! We had sangria, chips and salsa, chili rellenos and flautas. Recommend it all!

Deb C.

Yelp
I post not to be vengeful but to inform travelers looking for meals on the road traveling through New Mexico. The food was tasteless. No seasoning, scorched beans, cardboard chips, bad sauces. There were signs everywhere telling you what not to do! I counted 9 signs in the restroom alone. The staff was totally untrained in service and had zero hospitality skills.

Yelp
Sometimes you find the unexpected. Like this spot. I was so wanting breakfast. So. I went to the shop down the way, the one everyone went to. It had a .... (Gasp) 45min wait... and renowned slow service. So. I popped over here. Monica was my server. She was so quick, so friendly. My coffee was out, I think I barely had my cream in it when my breakfast was being served ! Color me impressed. AND, it was soooo good! Stop here, any meal, any day; you'll find some joy and a few extra minutes in your day.

Yelp
We went to Abraham's Tiendita based on reviews and were sad to find that it's a take-out only place. They sent us next door to their dine-in restaurant and we were very pleased with it. My husband had the bean and chicharron burrito with "Christmas" chile, which in New Mexico means that you get your food smothered with half green chile and half red chile. He chose papitas for his side and liked it. I ordered pork carnitas tacos. I opted for posole as one of my sides. It tasted good but was not what I expected. It was just hominy cooked probably in chicken broth. In Colorado, posole is a soup with hominy in it. The salsa has good flavor and was free (along with chips) during happy hour. The service was very good.

Bill L.

Yelp
Everything food service and ambiance were great. Generous portions and Christina was the best even coaching us to enjoy happy hour appetizers. Food was fresh flavorful and good prices and portions. Check it out

Yelp
Updating this review to include a recent visit on Saturday, 3/30/24. I came to revisit this establishment to have dinner with two family members. We were promptly seated but, the server took awhile to get our drinks. One person in my party asked if sopapillas were available rather than the regular offered tortilla. The waitress said they could accommodate the substitution. So, we requested sopapillas. The service was a bit slow that evening and when the food was brought out, one person received red chile rather than the green chile. It took awhile to track down the waitress to ask for the correction. The corrected meal took a long time to arrive as did the sopapillas. The waitress dropped off the food and did not return. We had to flag her down to get the check. There was a $2 fee for the sopapillas. We were not told upfront that there would be an upcharge for the substitution nor was there anything mentioned on the menu. Also, there was a note at the bottom of the check that a credit card transaction would be charged for credit cards. There should be a sign on the door warning customers of the credit card fee BEFORE they eat. I hate hidden fees. This restaurant has gone down hill. I won't be back.

Yelp
Ordered a veggie quesadilla- the side I ordered was rice. Now I know I am from Texas and eat a lot of authentic Mexican food- but my first bite of this rice was shocking. It was awful. My husband agreed. The Quesadilla was supposed to have cheese, peppers and onions...no onion or peppers only filled with squash. Ordered a margarita when we sat down. Never got it ....Asked for a coke and to cancel the margarita because it had taken so long and never got the coke. When we paid and we were asked how was our meal- (both our plates , including my husbands who ordered beef enchiladas that were incredibly dry- plate was left full of food) we told her the issues- she was kind and apologized....she talked to her manager about "seeing what she could do"...she took of $2.60 off our bill.....never ever going back....

Penny R.

Yelp
Best pork carnitas enchiladas ever! Great service and a really nice family atmosphere. Not to be missed.

Yelp
The food at this place is pretty darn good. Had a sit-down meal with my wife a couple night ago. Had the chicken enchiladas with red chile, refried beans, and posole. Sadly, the posole was the only sour note of the meal (bland and bulky) and I won't be having that again. Wife had the veggie taco plate and loved it. We split a chile relleno with green chile that was excellent. Needless to say, we'll be back.

Leesa A.

Yelp
Wish I could split up reviews.... 5 stars for Bobby, the terrific bartender and margarita-maker! Thank you, Bobby, for making our experience better!! But 1 star for our server, an EXTREMELY rude older lady, who not only snapped attitude at people in our party ("Hey... hey! What do you want?!?" when taking our order...) but screwed up multiple dishes and drink orders. Some of the worst service we've ever had. Food's only so-so. We've had much better in other NM cities. Definitely not worth dealing with super attitude from a tacky waitress and wrong and missing orders. Only go to get margaritas with Bobby....

Yelp
Omg the best Mexican food. You think it's not gonna be and homegirl waitressing will make you feel some kind of way (she been doing it long enough she tired of the bs) but it's really good
google avatar

Kels H.

Yelp
Great food! Great red and green chili sauce. Guacamole was pretty great too. We will be back. El Encanto for breakfast/lunch and Rialto for dinner are the way to go in Las Vegas, New Mexico!!
google avatar

Lisa O.

Yelp
Wonderful chile rellenos drenched in cheese and green chili. Tamales were equally good-two great plates to share. A local favorite and we can see why!
google avatar

Dave F.

Yelp
Great friendly service and food, I can't wait to return. Ordered tacos and the were the bomb
google avatar

Clyde J.

Yelp
Well this is my new #1 Mexican restaurant! Shredded beef burrito with onions and chili's was awesome, wife had the green chili soup that was loaded with meat, the salsa was awesome, all other places now have a new barometer to be judged against. So glad we took a detour off rte 66 from Tucumcari and drove out to Las Vegas to have such an incredible meal!
google avatar

Michelle M.

Yelp
Had my first New Mexico style sopapilla here. When asked if I wanted red or green chile sauce, I was recommended to say "Christmas." Merry Christmas, indeed! The salsa was quite memorable here when offered with fresh tortilla chips. Done fresh and with a great kick. Wait staff are great too -- sweet, helpful, and tried their best when handling our large party of 15 that came in without a reservation.

Kelli K.

Yelp
we were the 2nd customers in the door. more people arrived after us. we were quickly seated and ordered right away, Rialto Nachos. the first couple received their food. to-go orders went out. the couple that arrived about 5 minutes after us received their order. tried to catch the waiters eyes, we were invisible. we waited. finally after 34 minutes we left. won't be going back.
google avatar

Denise H.

Yelp
Authentic food! The chili relleno was delicious and the green chili sauce is truly good. There was so much food! Service was prompt and we had great attention. This isn't a fancy place but it was neat and clean. The wait staff was very friendly! We would go again when we are back in town.

Yelp
We tripped into this place. It's so rare that my husband loves a Mexican restaurant. But wowza. We both LOVED this one. Service was great, beer was ice cold, Sopapilla was outstanding as were my roast beef tacos. Not sure we will ever be back in Las Vegas NM, but if we ever are- we will return. (This was during Covid -it was clean and well spaced. They did a nice job of protecting their patrons).

Gloria W.

Yelp
Thankfully everyone who wasn't eating wore their masks! Let's get this damn Covid-19 out of our lives, right? We ordered fajitas for two & small guacamole salad. I ordered the posole and it was gone to perfection: Better than the ABQ and El Paso versions. No desserts. We boxed enough for am fajitas in the morning. Being in an more traditional area of town there were shops to explore after the meal including a full service barber shop. I fully recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
Wow! Talk about lazy, careless disgusting cooks! The only reason this place is getting one star is because yelp forces you to give them one... Like participation ribbons. Ordered the Rialto burger with Swiss cheese and they made the simple mistake of putting American cheese... No big deal right??? So I get the attention of the staff to have them fix their mistake... And they send it back.... The burger returns and I see half melted Swiss cheese on it... So I lift it up and much to my surprise I still have remnants of the American cheese below the half - melted Swiss... In between the patties looked like the two cheeses got it on in the bathroom of a biker bar. The waitress comes back and asked if everything came out OK and I tell her pretty far from it and I showed her aftermath. At this point I know to cut my losses because I'm not sending it back again for the cooks to get creative with my burger. Really sucked because the green chili on the burger was pretty good.

Yelp
Don't let the construction in front deter you from this authentic New Mexican restaurant. Older building with original tin ceilings, not fancy, but the food was delicious. I had a combination plate with a tamale, cheese enchilada, posole, taco, and beans. All with red Chile sauce. Spicy but tasty. Loved it.
google avatar

Peter M.

Yelp
Mind blowing! Terrific red and green sauces. Had the bean stuffed sopapilla and beef tamales. Outstanding.
google avatar

Nicole P.

Yelp
What a gem! Our group of 2 worn out moms and three wild children stopped here for a break on our road trip from Colorado Springs to Southern New Mexico. As a native New Mexican and long time Texas resident before moving to Colorado, I am a lover of a great local New Mexican or Mexican restaurant that can also accommodate picky eating children. Their flavorful salsa with nice heat, homemade chips, yummy retried beans, and great sauces set me up for a fantastic Chile replenish. To top it off, fantastic portions of freshly prepared chicken tenders and a hamburger for the kids made it such a pleasant outing. The service was top notch provided by a family of kind, gracious, hard working folks. Wow. We will be back even if it is a huge detour on our next trip south.

Yelp
Got a recommendation to try this place. We ordered Green chili pork enchiladas and combo plate, tamale, taco, & chili rellano. The pork enchilada was excellent and the beans were good but the taco and the rellano were very greasy and not too good. Service was good and the atmosphere pleasant.
google avatar

Andy A.

Yelp
I don't get to come here often enough (I live in Albuquerque), but whenever I am going to be passing through Las Vegas, NM, I always make it a point to try to have lunch here. The enchiladas are delicious and I love their chips and salsa also. There is a full bar "next door" (built in separate room really), for those who are interested in that. One of these days I plan to try the burgers also, someone at the table next to us had one and it looked very good. I do want to address that a couple of other reviews mentioned that they thought the red chile was from a can. We actually got some red chile to find out what that was about and there is no way it's from a can. I suspect the disconnect is that some people don't understand how New Mexican Chile is. This red chile was clearly fresh made (likely made from powder). That is a pretty normal practice here. Thus, it is a bit "gritty" and I can see why someone who isn't from here might have mistaken it for coming from a can, but I can assure you that it's very evident that it's fresh made (likely from powder). It's really good red chile too (my wife says to make sure to pair it with the beans). The green is good as well, although it does seem different than the last time we came through. Part of me suspects they had to change suppliers or something midway through the winter. Both kinds were good, but definitely different. Not sure what happened exactly, but either way, it was yummy.

Yelp
Rude They never answer their phone and their voicemail is full. which shows they dont care much about their business. if they dont care their management sucks and their food and cleanliness is worse. cockroaches are bad to have in your restaurant too

Re O.

Yelp
A two-hour chaotic lunch with incorrect food and a cold, dried out burrito after almost an hour waiting at the table with only a glass of water. Asked for our drinks after about 30 minutes. Asked again when food was served. Do not go here! Food was brought back to the hotel to heat up. Edible but nothing special.
google avatar

Maria-Christina S.

Yelp
One of the only places where I prefer the red chile over green. I'm super particular about my red chile and this hits the spot! The chips and salsa are a great starter and the portion sizes are large. I also love that they'll bring a small pitcher of iced tea to your table so you have a couple refills at hand. My favorite is the chicken stuffed sopapilla. The chicken is ground and unlike many New Mexican dishes, it isn't greasy and fatty. Prices and service are good and it's in a great location, right near the old town plaza.
google avatar

J P.

Yelp
Ordered the guacamole and chips. Guacamole was very good. Chips were completely unremarkable. Kind of unfortunate to match good guacamole with lousy chips.

Brandon H.

Yelp
Oooooo if I could leave 100 stars I would this place is so amazing along with some amazing staff . Tacos & bean stuffed Sopaipilla is Soo yummy . I love this place in town!!!
google avatar

Asi A.

Yelp
El Rialto may not have the most "authentic" New Mexican flavors, but everything is good. Their dining is set up in a large, spacious outdoor pavilion that actually adds charm to the ambience. Food is affordable and the green chili is delicious, though quite spicy.
google avatar

Denise P.

Yelp
Ahhh! Las Vegas NM. You are such a cool town. And this could be a cool place to eat. I chose this restaurant because I was driving through town looking for something that looked good and local. I saw a police officer going in for lunch and thought "that place is the one"! Once inside it feels a bit like a saloon - fun. I was greater promptly with a smile and seated. The menu had options so I was on the right track. Best of all, the salsa had a really nice kick. Cool - bring it on. Ok , I want really badly to rate the food highly. I just can't. I ordered a stuffed chicken sopapilla. On the first bite I thought that they brought me the roast beef by accident. No problem, I'll eat it anyway, I thought. On the 2nd bite I wasn't sure what the meat was but I wasn't fond of the flavor. I poured some salsa on it and tasted it again. Still wasn't sure. I was sure that I did not like the flavor though. So much potential, but need to work on that dish.

Yelp
Great food and service. Huge patio and full service bar. Both green and red chili very spicy and tasty. My daughter is a no chili girl and she liked the fish tacos. Great music and fun atmosphere.
google avatar

Kathe R.

Yelp
Looked a bit sketchy from the outside but the Indian tacos were so filling and very tasty.
google avatar

Yelp
Honestly the service was amazing especially during this covid-19 cautions. I would recommend whatever specials they have for the day that's what we did and we were not disappointed!

Lynne M.

Yelp
Great food very friendly staff Christina was awesome. Large covered patio was dod friendly. Thank you

Yelp
Ate here for lunch on our way back to Tex-Mex hell in Texas. Our last real New Mexican meal and the best we had in all of Santa Fe and Taos. The salsa was hot and tasty, the red sauce was unbelievable, tacos and rellenos were different and good. Good kids menu and the employees were very friendly, great service.

Hank S.

Yelp
Waited for an hour, everything was out on the menu, very disappointed.. management really dropped the ball.
google avatar

Jennifer H.

Yelp
Do not walk past this place!! It was so good, fast and friendly!! But most importantly GREAT FOOD!!

Judy P.

Yelp
On the positive side, the interior space was clean and service was very good. We had table reservations and we were greeted and seated immediately. Our server brought chips and sauce to the table. However, she never offered us additional chips when the plate was empty, as is normally done in the many Mexican Restaurants we visit. The margaritas were OK, I suspect made with a mix. Everyone at the table ordered enchiladas, rice and beans. We ordered a variety of enchiladas consisting of cheese, chicken and beef. We all agreed that everything tasted the same. If my eyes were closed, I wouldn't know what I was eating. I'm not saying it was bad, just not great. I wouldn't go back.

Patricia R.

Yelp
We were lost in Las Vegas and went to Yelp for suggestions. The Rialto was close with good reviews. We weren't disappointed Good portions and the salsa was the best we've had Tried different dishes and they were all winners The whole beans were better than the refried but both were good Fresh homemade style tortillas were a welcome treat They also cater and there was a wedding during our visit Great music made our meal complete The wait staff was not so friendly but they were attentive Great value overall
