Wow this is the most authentic tasting Mexican I have had since travelling Mexico and for such a reasonable price !! The waiter was so lovely, both myself and friend asked for no meat and she offered alternatives and was so friendly and helpful! I have been Craving Chilaquiles ever since and these were the best I have had since Mexico !!! Absolutely delicious and a big portion! My friend loved her dinner and we both absolutely loved the Frijole/cheese nachos to start they were divine! I had a margarita to finish which was also so delicious and the waiter gave me the shaker which had basically a whole other margarita in it because she had made extra!! I want to fly to Barcelona again just for this restaurant!! Definitely go here! So reasonable, so friendly and so delicious 🤩

If you are looking for authentic Mexican food, look no further. El Rincon is IT! I'm from San Diego, and I have taken numerous trips to Mexico. I know good Mexican food. The two dishes I had made it abundantly clear, El Rincon meets the highest criteria and merits 6 stars! The interior is quaint, comfy, as you are surrounded by 25 years of family tradition. Now about those two menu items: First, the standard bearer and from which one can judge authenticity are the chips and guacamole. Perfecto! I have had guacamole in no less than 5 restaurants in Barcelona, and none came close. Second, I ordered the carne burrito. The beef was tender, juicy and flavorful. Highest marks! Thanks to father and daughter owners, bartenders, cooks, servers (probably dishwashers too!), Salvador and Susanna. I shall return.

From a Mexican, I’d like to share that it brought back great home memories and for sure I’d like to come back ❤️ now let’s deep dive into the review: In terms of the service: - From the very beginning, they were open to find us a nice place even without reservation - They were very perceptive about our different needs regarding the language and recommendations of sauces which was on spot. - They were quite good at giving enough time and space to take the order and they didn’t hurry (not because of the kitchen or any other customers, so you feel that you can relax and eat properly) - Because of the nice atmosphere, we were taking photos and the owner came and offer help with it. In terms of the food: Pros: - they had good options for the tacos and main dishes, specially the one with mole 🥹 - the tacos or base were freshly made and with the lettuce as I had it in Mexico City 🤩 so really nice touch there 😉 Things to notice: - there was the feeling of limited traditional desserts ( for summer could be: raspados with some flavors like diff fruit flavors ( pineapple, mango, lime) or rompope. And in winter flan or corn bread. - for drinks, there were options but it could have more traditional drinks like horchata, jamaica, or lime is great. In terms of atmosphere: The lights, decoration, music was great and people’s laugh in the background gave the feeling that you were in a family gathering. The things that was a bit unfortunate was that the second floor ( which was also nice) had an AC issue and was really hot 🥵 but we were lucky and had a table downstairs in the cool area. Overall: the food was authentic, the atmosphere was cozy, and the service was so friendly that even at the end we got to know a bit more about the story of the restaurant, the owner and even got a family like goodbye hug!!! That’s human warm even for the first time that we visited! Again, I’d try to come if I’m in the area and maybe you too!

If you're looking for a go-to spot for Mexican food, this place is it. The staff is incredibly welcoming and makes you feel right at home. The food consistently hits all the right spots, leaving you satisfied every freaking time. I always feel great when I'm here, and the food just elevates the experience. Ps: Don't expect a Michelin-level spot—it's like your Mexican abuelita is cooking for you, and honestly, that's even better

Yelp
Food: ordered frijoles refritos, tingas, pellizcadas & a margarita. The frijoles were delicious, I even saved some to put inside my tacos. The tingas (chicken) had a really good taste, they were only missing the toppings (frijoles, sour cream, cheese, lettuce, etc.). The pellizcadas were my favorite! They were small, but five total and they are very filling. Toppings are very generous (and yummy). Only downside I found was that the corn tortillas were a tad salty. The margarita was average. Price: food was reasonably priced. However, I think the the margarita is over priced for the amount they serve (one medium sized Martini glass). Place: small "hole in the wall" type of restaurant; nothing fancy. Staff was very friendly and offered excellent service and delicious food. Overall: if you are in the mood for good Mexican food, definitely swing by!

Yelp
It was ok but not more. Honestly, I expected much more after having read the description and promising review in my LP guide. I choose Tacos Tinga - Tacos with chicken and I got only three or four (sorry, I can't remember anymore) small soft tacos with some shreddered chicken in a spicy sauce. All together the taste was pretty good. However, the portion was quite small (even for me, despite I really don't have a big stomac) and too oily. I aIso missed some fresh salad like iceberg lettuce, tomatoe, cucumer or else for decoration. My friend opted for Tacos de pibil (Tacos with meat). The taste was not bad, but it was even more oily and I definitely prefered the spicier seasoning of my chicken. Going there is not wrong but you shoudn't expect too much.
