A five star restaurant with incredibly affordable prices. The food, the drinks, the service and the ambience are all five stars. Definitely a must-do in San Cristobol

What an amazing place. You only pop in to have a look at the dinner menu but we decided on the spot to stay and have lunch. It was around 4PM but they were very happy to serve us. Loved the attentive service and all the food. Every single dish was delicious with a spotless presentation. For the quality of food that you get prices are more than convenient. The duck tacos were delicious. We've been missing vegetables so much since we started travelling around Mexico that the asparagus and garlic dish blew our minds hahahah

I don't want El Secreto to be so much of a secret that it goes out of business, so I'm happy to share this review. Located in a boutique hotel, this gem of a restaurant is excellent. Our server, Antonio (aided by Ronaldo) was friendly and attentive. He needed no convincing to take my extensive list of allergies to Chef Rosy rather than make assumptions about what food on the menu would be safe for me. As it turns out, many dishes were safe for me, and we had an outstanding meal. Rosy is a fantastic chef, who cooks with flair and originality, successfully combining local ingredients in novel ways to put a twist on Mexican cuisine. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We went for dinner and absolutely adored our experience. The dishes on the menu were very original and Antonio, our waiter, gave us good recommendations as to what to order. The “garden” was beautiful and the mood unpretentious, yet cozy and romantic. 100% recommend !

WOW. Went based on reviews that are bang on. The Duck tacos were wonderful. As mains we had sea bass and two chickens. I've never liked mole until I had it on the sea bass. It didn't overwhelm the bass but enhanced it. The manager Martin brought extra orange sauce for the chicken and took us to Tarumba a sister restaurant with same chef. What a great space. That's tomorrow's restaurant.

When you are travelling Mexico but want a break from foodtrucks and cheap tacos, go to El Secreto! Super food and super service! During the time we were there the waiter would bring us some tasters from the kitchen that they prepared. For example the local Huitlacoche on a taster bite, it was exquisite! The food was very good, but the best platter was the Duck Taquitos starter dish, you have to taste it if you visit San Cristobal!

This place was one of the best! Service is outstanding! My friend and I are celiac and the chef came out to help us choose something from the menu that could be tailored to us. Really nice guy as well! The waiters are attentive and the food is delicious! "Tuna tartar" was delicious. Try the MEZCAL ice cream! They gave us the cutest little entrees and their house white wine is yum. They also gave us bread and yummy whipped creamy butter.

Superb service. The food is great. My favorite is the grilled cheese asparagus. The black bean chorizo soup is a little thick so it didn’t do it for me. The chicken with potato carrot and guacamole was great, especially with the sweet sauce.
