This was the best experience we had during our stay in Barcelona. It felt homey & the food was absolutely delicious. Service was attentive, fast, well worth every bit. I will definitely be back when we visit again.

Great food, the melted cheese variations are amazing. Very friendly and helpful service. The staff were super kind and helped us a lot with recommendations and choosing what to order. Be careful with the melted cheese — it’s very filling, and it’s easy to order too much. We arrived without a reservation and only got a table by sheer luck, so making a reservation is highly recommended.

I had a really wonderful experience here. The restaurant was so nice and welcoming that I honestly didn’t expect such warm care as a foreigner, but the staff treated us amazingly well. I’m still very impressed by the way they took care of us, even though it was quite a long time ago. I design websites for brands like this, and seeing how great the service and atmosphere are, I’d genuinely love to volunteer to create a simple website for the restaurant to help showcase it online. Delicious tapas. Unbelievably good! Fantastic, varied menu. One of the best dining experiences from the 100+ meals I’ve eaten in this city over the past few years. The stuffed aubergine will be something I crave for some time now.

I come from Cologne and was eating at ElSet with my girlfriend. A very characteristic and beautiful restaurant with a good selection of tapas that really tasted very good. There were also a few more unusual tapas on the menu. You have a view of the kitchen and the dishes that go over the counter invite you to want to try more. The only shortcoming is the staff which was a bit uncoordinated and had no fixed table allocation. Our waiter was a bit unfriendly and not a classic waiter who invites you to continue to feel good. Thanks for the experience, the service staff can also have a bad day

It’s often hard to believe overly positive reviews, but in this case they are absolutely justified — the reputation truly matches the experience! After a disappointing dinner at the restaurant across the street, we just wanted to grab a small bite and have a drink — and it turned out to be the best decision of the evening. We were warmly welcomed and they quickly found a table for five of us. Even though we don’t speak Spanish, the staff spoke English and were incredibly kind, attentive, and friendly throughout the evening. The food was excellent. The croquettes — which are often just something fried without much flavor — were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft and creamy inside. The potatoes with sauce were delicious. And the octopus was outstanding: fresh, nicely grilled, tender and absolutely not rubbery (which is quite rare!). Truly impressive. We had wine and their homemade vermouth, which was very aromatic and enjoyable. Unfortunately, I didn’t take any photos — the food was simply too good, and all that was left were empty plates 😅 There were no shots listed on the menu, but when we asked, they kindly offered us their homemade limoncello. It was fantastic. At the end, they even brought us another round as a compliment from the house — such a thoughtful and lovely gesture. We were genuinely impressed — not only by the quality of the food and drinks, but also by the warm and friendly service. 100% recommend this place and would happily come back again.

Amazing! One of our favourite tapas places in Barcelona. Would recommend a reservation as we had tried to come on another night but could not be accommodated. Food was delicious - would recommend the truffle cheese, ham and anchovies. The dessert crema catalana was also delicious. Definitely stop by here in Barcelona if you can.

We asked to sit at a table without a reservation and they graciously allowed us to eat for an hour before the reservation! The service was quick (because we had to be) and the food was delicious! Best food I’ve had visiting Barcelona so far. After the hour was up, they let us move to an outdoor standing table to finish our wine!

This place was recommend by a friend that traveled to Barcelona several times over the span of three years. She insisted on getting the three goat cheese salad. She was spot on- it was one of the best meals we had in Barcelona.

Not the usual tapas place. Here you can actually sit down at a table and enjoy the excellent food, that is however for the most part just jamon, queso and tomato bread. I felt the prices were a little steeper than they should be for just ham, cheese and bread, but then again you are in the middle of Born in Barcelona.

Thank goodness for an International data plan and Yelp! We were lost wandering about Barcelona after a day at the beach, really wanted to find some tapas, about ready to kill each other because we were so hangry - then my phone found this place...a Godsend! The service was good, they didn't speak the best English, but we all made it work. We ordered a big plate of jamon, cheese, olives, tomaquet, dried fruits, and cured meats and went to town on that and a couple bottles of wine. It was located in the gothic area of Barcelona also, so the architecture of the surrounding buildings was very cool. It was one of the most traditional Spanish meals we had in Barcelona.

Excellent place for cheese and charcuterie lovers, the staff even went and got some gluten free bread for my coeliac friend! the plates of meat and cheese were great and washed down with nice wine.

This place might not immediately grab your attention, but it's certainly worth a stop. The decor and atmosphere are charming and relaxing. Service was excellent. The food was not the most amazing you might find in Barcelona, but not at all disappointing. Despite somewhat high list prices, the portions are surprisingly large. We found that the five plates we ordered were a bit too much for two people.

This restaurant is pretty good, but I've been to other places in Barcelona that are pretty amazing. We had our team dinner here and the food was OK. The service was good as well... normal, slow spanish service :)

We had a good meal here- Habas a la catalana- Excellent - Very good local dish. not very flashy but very good depth of flavor. Nice unique bean dish Chistorra - Very good sausage Gambas Ajillo- NOT Good these were very mushy shrimp Torrada Lomo Iberico - Good Pan Tostado con tomat - Good Overall it was a very nice lunch. The other dish that was different here was the batata bravas - Our friends ordered this and they a little disappointed compared to other places they had this.

This is one of the best tapas bars in town! Ice T himself is serving the food :) good wine, delicious food, excellent service. It is a very traditional place with basic interior but awesome atmosphere

Food and service was great. Tasty wine and great neighbor hood. Go here. Excellent restaurant that stands out among the 100. One warning, too much wine and the walk home through El Born will make you feel like Theseus in the labyrinth. Luckily there are nice locals to help you out!

Happened upon this gem. Luckily got a table for 2 instantly. Place soon filled up,! Menu simple n easy for us Englsh only readers. All we ordered were excellent. We've been onto Jamon Iberico Belotta n Manchego cheese for years. Not experts but have a few years of experience. They even gave us a few samples of the diff cheeses so we could select what we desired. For a basic n authentic Jamon n cheese with wine n olives fare you can't go wrong. Service good n presentations fine with no rush although many waiting. Highly recommend.
