Waiters didn’t see us at first but were more attentive and made up for it once they realized we were new guests. They also gave us broth from the Cochinillo they serve to warm us up, a nice gesture. We ordered: - Croquetas (underwhelming, I’ve had better) - salpicón (very good) - chorizo and potato (my favorite) - tortilla Coffee was very good here as well! I’m sure the non tapas menu is even better.

Google
Amazing restaurant in town serving up deliciously tasting Spanish dishes behind an awesome staff and historical feeling ambience. With locals and tourists visiting you can tell it’s very good from the start and nothing disappointed. Definitely worth the visit when in town.

El Sitio is a traditional restaurant in the heart of Segovia that delivers a delightful local dining experience. The service is highly professional, with the staff being exceptionally kind, polite, and attentive throughout the meal. I ordered the veal steak (fried) with pommes frites as my main course and the Ponche Segoviano Con Base de Natillas for dessert. The veal steak was tender, which is always a plus; however, as part of the basic menu, it could use some refinement to better align with the price-to-performance expectations. The pommes frites were nicely done but nothing out of the ordinary. The highlight of the meal was the dessert. The Ponche Segoviano was sweet and indulgent, with the creamy custard base adding an extra layer of richness to this local specialty. Overall, El Sitio provides an authentic Segovian dining atmosphere with excellent service, but there’s room for improvement in some dishes, especially considering the pricing. The dessert is definitely worth trying for those with a sweet tooth!

I was grateful that both croquettes and Judiones were available in half-sized portions, so I was able to try both, and both were delicious.

Google
El Sitio is a pleasant and lively restaurant. The restaurant has very friendly and attentive staff. The restaurant offers a great local specialty "Rosted small pig". Food and drinks were great. We will dine at this restaurant again on our next visit to the city.

Great service, staff has been very kind and helpful. We had no reservation on a Saturday lunch time and they gave is a table. Food is superb and a decent price.

Google
Ordered 2 mains. The roasted pork is great but veal scallop ok. If u are just here for the pork, the pork is five ⭐, but veal scallop a 3 ⭐. Service is decent, but the staff here are operates at a frantic pace due to the crowd, so the service is good and clinical but lacks a bit of warmth, and the frantic nature of the restaurant makes the atmosphere rather tense.

Google
3 of us had the roast pork, it was absolutely amazing.. the desserts were fantastic too. Profiteroles and a local marzipan based cake, delicious! The staff were all so friendly and attentive. Would recommend the trip to Segovia just for this restaurant!

Yelp
The wine is phenomenal and the tapas are delicious! It's more of a place where the locals go and we are so very glad that someone told us about it! Service is amazing and Juan has treated us like honored guests!!!

Yelp
Wanted to dine here but they classically don't start food service until 2000! So while unknown that's standard I dropped a star. That said drinking on the square and people watching was a solid and the tapas they made for us to tide us over were outstanding. If you plan on dining here big or small group, call ahead. This is a very popular stop for many!

Yelp
Okay, 4 glasses of house tinto and 3 amazing tapas (sardines, mussels, chicharrones with some great sweet potatoes with...ancho chile?) plus a fourth tapas thrown in gratis along with beaucoup bon vivant joie de vivre - for 8 euros. Did a double take. Run, do not walk. It is The Site. Tapas on steroids. Just point and say si!

Yelp
It was a great spot just 50m from the plaza in front of the cathedral. We had tasty tapas for 2euro each. I initially thought they made a mistake. We spent less than 20 Euros to feed a young family of 5. Pretty amazing.

Yelp
This review is for the dinner (€€) and not the tapas bar. We ate dinner at the upstairs restaurant. The tapas bar, with only a narrow space between the bar and the wall, was packed. We had to gently push and negotiate our way to the dining room stairs. The tapas looked great. However, we were tired and didn't want to deal this night standing at or near the bar. Upstairs is menu only. We shared an order of grilled vegetables. They were excellent. My wife's dish of small lamb chops was a disappointment. I got the ox steak. I asked for it to be cooked medium rare. I think there was some difficulty in communicating this and (perhaps) that medium rare isn't too well understood in Spain. It came out quite rare yet partially cold, so it had been waiting around. I sent it back, no problem. In fact, the waiter asked if it was cooked OK. It was better on return but still disappointing. The dessert of crepes with chocolate and brandy: the chocolate was excellent, but the dessert pedestrian on the whole. Overall: a distinct disappointment. I would have liked to have returned for the tapas but we were leaving the next day. The waiters were very friendly.

Yelp
We stopped at El Sitio around 16:30-when all the restaurants are closed (or at least the kitchens are)... The bartender suggested some tapas that were perfect! Very home-made flavor: simple and satisfying. We had salchicha, tarta, chicharrones, chorizo.. everything was good! I am glad we ended up here.. the service is very prompt and friendly and the place is lively and simple.

Yelp
Fabulous restaurant and great service. Fish was fresh and suckling pig was tasty. Definitely glad we found this place.

Yelp
Segovia is one of out last stops on this amazing trip to Spain ... el Sitio had some amazing tapas and wine and the blue bottle waters I fell in love with

Yelp
"Nomen omen" ancient Romans said, which means "a word, it's name". EL SITIO means THE PLACE, and actually this is the PLACE to go for Tapas in Segovia. Very close to the Cathedral, lots of different traditional Tapas (fried calamari, potato with alioli, tuna, ...). If you like Cochinillo (young pork in oven) too. You can sit inside or you better get a beer outside talking with local people who crowd The Place.

Antonio C.

Yelp
Excellent suckling pigs. Even the cuttlefish cooked to perfection. And the shrimp and mushroom egg were just delicious.

Yelp
We had a wonderful lunch at this place, their pig leg, fish dishes are delicious, desserts are top notch. Servers are very friendly, attentive and speak English! It's one of the best restaurants we enjoyed a great meal in Spain.

Yelp
You must try El Sitio's mysteriously wonderful Patxaran. It can't be beat!
