Sooooo good! And the couple that operates here are so kind! I am vegan and get the veggie burrito, no crema and it’s *chefs kiss*. I love it here!

The atmosphere is calm and homey. The food is amazing! I always get the cemita con milanesa de pollo with extra mayo and spicy sauce! The people behind the counter are super friendly and kind. You can also grab some mexican Coke and chips!

A bit pricey for what it was. The ingredients were good, but not good enough for it to be $17 for a medium amount of nachos and one taco. It didn't come with hot salsa on it or with it, so it had no kick / was missing some flavor. And it showed up cold even though its 90 out and I'm pretty close. It feels like this place could be a favorite if they gave a little more food / salsa, and delivered it warm.

Such good vibes here. Great food, soap operas always playing. Cheap beer, amazing fajitas. The frijoles are soooo fire. Amazing vibes.

i’ve never been inside my boyfriend usually stops by and picks up the food, but WOW! best tostadas I ever tasted. Chicken cooked well and the cheese and cremaaa with avacados are just perfect

This place is the joint! Lowkey some of the best regional Mexican food i've had in New York. I go here when i miss Los Angeles. The cecina is on point, definitely do the tacos deluxe.

Best affordable Mexican food with a great taste! You can get a meal for under $12 and be stuffed ! Got the tacos Al pastor that were $3.50 a taco which is affordable to me compared to other spots in the area charging $5 one taco. I also like to get the cemita de milanesa de pollo! Never misses and only $8! They are super fast so I always call to place and pick it up in 10 mins and it be ready. It's a bodega/ restaurant so your also able to find your Mexican chips soda products everything 10/10. My go to spot!

I was in the area by chance and was craving some tacos (per usual lol). This particular place was in close proximity and had great reviews so I decided to check it out. Plus I was in a rush so needed takeout on a dime. Yummy tacos for a cheap price! Family business that sells Mexican snacks and drinks and of course food. Both mother and daughter (presumably) were working the stovetop and pumped out seasoned carnitas tacos that left me wanting more. Mind you, I ordered 3 tacos for a total of $7.50 so that should tell you something. Stop by if in the area. It's worth it.

Bodega with a Mexican food counter? Sure, why not. The place is unique and reminded me of some very much local places in NJ. In short, the place is a bit of a hole in the wall, the food is cheap, and the staff is polite (and more so if you speak a little Spanish.) I ordered a Cecina/Salted Beef taco one time (with everything) and an Al Pastor the other time I was there. I found both to be good and worth it for the price (2.75 for it with everything including Oaxaca cheese/avocado.) My only complaint would be that there wasn't enough pineapple, only two/three little pieces. Someone else with me ordered a Torta which looked excellent. Good local Mexican antojitos place. 3.6

I've been eating at this place regularly since 2009. Burritos are so big they can't properly be folded, so they're served open faced. Unassuming ambience, this place is all about the food.

This is definitely a gem in the neighborhood :) Aside from the enchiladas, I am now addicted to the "two eggs with green sauce" I love that green sauce! Recently, I went there while I was sick just to get some breakfast food and it was just absolutely satisfying (as usual). The staff might not know how to speak English, so just point and order. No problemo.

This place is alright and so is their mexican food, the only thing I did not like at all from my last visit 1 week ago was that the man cooking would pick up small peices of the cooked meat that fell on the table into my plate and with his bare hands without gloves...that was just disgusting and very not professional. The environment is ok and they have like 3 medium square tables to eat there.

The space might only be a three tables, but this bodega has turned into an operation that can handle impressive volume. While I roamed the store's two aisles, selecting a drink to go with my two chorizo tostadas, multiple delivery men came in the building. They left with several styrofoam trays each, bringing quesadillas, tacos and cemitas to neighborhood folks who didn't want to brave the rapidly melting snow on this December night. I was enroute to a party in the area and thought that any drinking would be better done on a full stomach. The product here is solid and filling - with that nice crunch of the tostadas supporting a moutnain of spicy sausage, a bit too much crema and slices of salty cheese. I put salsa verde on top in a zig zag pattern, creating a yellow, green and white concoction that just one color off from the forthcoming holiday. That salsa verde was a bit tame for my tongue while the proportions and plating was a sloppy in general. It's just enough to place this is at very top of an era with plenty of top-notch choices, but not anything that should stop anyone from coming by to check it out for a meal.

WHAT IS THIS MADNESS. If we hadn't been desperate, starving, cranky, and impatient, this would have been my LAST choice. I'm a tad pretentious when it comes to picking out restaurants, but after spending the entire day moving furniture into our new apartment and snapping at each other out of exhaustion and hunger, we couldn't be bothered to clean ourselves up enough to visit a fancier eatery. This place was recommended to us, so we set out to find it. When we spotted it from a block away, we were terribly disappointed: it was a small convenience store, with a little counter on the side where you could order Mexican food. What? This isn't a restaurant! What idiot recommended this to us?! But again, we were desperate, so we continued inside and ordered. Despite being mostly a convenience store, there was seating available. The wait was a little long, but WORTH IT. We were SHOCKED by the quality of food here. My tacos (soft shell, vegetarian) were phenomenal. The ingredients were fresh and beautifully seasoned, the sauces were fabulous, and the prices were great. I will absolutely return here whenever I'm in the mood for authentic Mexican!

Half bodega, half taco joint, El Sol de Cholula has about 4 tables and a little bar that sits up against the window. There's no atmosphere, but what do you expect when your table is right next to stacked cans of beans and coolers full of Jaritos, Mexican Coke, and Modelo Especial? OK, so I ordered 2 pork tacos and 1 enchilada taco, all topped with, my favorite, cilantro and onions. The tortillas were decent, not fresh, but not too stiff as tends to be the case for most tacos I get around here (ahem Los Hermanos with the tortilla factory right there). The meat was OK... not super flavorful, but also not over-cooked. The tacos were, well, just OK again. I can't believe I'm saying this, and I haven't tried sooo many places in thise area, but I still miss the Bonita that was over on Dekalb. They had some good tacos in this hemisphere of Brooklyn.

The best Mexican restaurant/bodegas in Bushwick. They make AMAZING food, all of which is cheap, filling, and non-greasy. It's also a family-run business that's owned and operated by very nice people! Note: As a bodega, it's mostly Mexican food/products, not a lot of basic groceries/necessities

My twitter name (@chorizotaco) happened because of this place. Their tacos are amazing. I don't like any tacos in any borough after eating here three years ago. I hate that none of my friends live in Bushwick anymore because I used to get so excited about visiting my friends' apartments and ordering chorizo tacos as soon as I arrived. They also deliver within ten minutes most of the time. LOVE.

Great family-run place with a huuuuuuuge tv for World Cup. Seriously, it's like the size of a full bed. The nachos are perfect.

It looks like a lackluster bodega, but they have a kitchen that makes the absolute most delicious food. The secret is in the sauce! There are two house sauces that I heartily encourage you to slather all over everything. You can eat in and enjoy telenovelas on a ridiculously large screen, or get your food to go (they deliver too!), but definitely stop here for fantastic Mexican food with really good yellow rice. And pick up some south of the border condiments and grocery items while you're there-- it's a good spot for those too. El Yucateca hot sauce is the truth.

The tacos we ordered the steak was very hard and the cilantro was old and soft shells we old as well. The burritos he steak was very tough and old. I was very disappointed for the amount of money that was spent. I wouldn't go back

Great torta de milanesa and chicken burritos. If you are going to pick up, do not expect great service. Grumpy lady at the cash register does not care if you are a repeat customer. Plus she is really cheap with the hot sauce. Just give her your money and run.

This place is awesome! We moved around the block and have eaten there about five times in the last few days. Their burritos are so big that they don't even attempt to roll them up. The food is fresh, filling, and amazing. I'm telling all my friends to go here. I prefer it to Tortilleria Mexicana Los Hermanos. Don't get me wrong, that places is good too, but this place has more options and is faster. Their breakfast is insane and huge as well. Just know if you like sort of spicy or REALLY spicy. The delivery is super fast, too.

If you are looking for a sit down restaurant type experience then this might not be the place you want to go. It's basically a bodega and good for lunch. They are always super sweet to us and make sure we have everything we need but we are here a lot. Tacos to me are always boring and the same everywhere. The gem here is the tortas and burritos. I would suggest the chicken milanese torta with chipotle peppers or a cecina burrito and make sure you get the spicy green sauce.

I love this place. Great Mexican food and the right price. The breakfast is my favorite.

Went for my pick up order as usual for a burrito, last visit I noticed some snotty behavior from the workers. But this time around! I went for my pick up and the owner is back there cooking and talking B.S about customers, (I guess he didn't think I know Spanish) he then told his counter guy to tell me to sit down, by me standing and waiting for my food the food isn't going to be ready quicker (in Spanish while cursing also) , mind you I wasn't pressuring them or looking at them I was minding my business on my phone, I guess all the business they are getting is making them cocky! And have no respect for their customers! Avoid this place! Owner him self has no respect for their customers! You have lost my business!

If you are looking for cheap and delicious tacos that is to-go then this is the place. It is essentially a bodega that also has a kitchen. You can get tacos and some modelo in one stop. I bought 3 tacos and they were great, it got a chicken, steak, and carnitas tack. The employees are also super sweet.

Excellent food, friendly service, good prices. What more could you ask for? Go here if you want some authentic Mexican food with servers who won't scowl at you for your non-hispanicness.

Best tacos in Brooklyn, specifically the pork. Green salsa is a lil too spicy though.

This is my neighborhood spot! They're so nice and cook like maniacs. The food is nothing to get too excited about, but the nachos and enchiladas are sure to please. Nice and greasy, good for hangovers. Totally honest food from good folks. Check this place out!

Was very happy to find. Tacos were ok-to-good. Chicken was a little dry but with the green hot sauce, tasty. The chorizo was spicy, just wished there was more in the taco. It's in my area and is a go to for that taco craving.

My manager suggested the Torta's for delivery one day and the Spicy Pork with Avocado was incredible! The next time I had it, I walked over with my girlfriend and was surprised and a little put off by it being a bodega. The sandwich didn't taste quite as nice the second time around. STILL, THEY'RE CHEAP & THEY DELIVER: IT'S RECOMMENDED IF YOU'RE LAZY, LIKE ME, AND POOR...

The only reason I buy food from this place is because it's the closest Mexican restaurant to me. The tacos are flavorless but I highly recommend Gringas! They're delicious. Everything else try at your own risk. The staff aren't exactly friendly either.
