El Tablón Latino

I had a wonderful dining experience at this Latin restaurant near the Monument to the Heroes of the Restoration. I was dining solo, but the staff made me feel completely welcome — the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. The food was outstanding! I ordered a beautifully cooked fish dish with roasted potatoes and cherry tomatoes — flavorful and perfectly seasoned. I also tried the seafood in tomato sauce topped with fresh avocado, and it was deliciously fresh and full of flavor. You can really taste the quality ingredients and the care put into each dish. It’s a great spot whether you’re dining alone or with others. Highly recommended if you’re in Santiago and looking for a place with great food, great service, and a relaxed atmosphere near the monument.

A Gem, a Latino eclectic food experience. An overwhelming surprise that brought great joy. The chef combined many Latin flavors to incorporate a unique experience with delight. Service was impeccable. They had menus in English which was very accommodating. Not expensive but would’ve paid double if it was without question. The chef should be very proud of his cuisine.

Located right on a historic road in Santiago, Dominican Republic, El Tablón Latino is one of the best spots to get some good food. My fiancé and I are traveling doing some wedding planning stuff, and she insisted that we come here as it has always been one of her favorite places. So we went. Let me preface this by saying, I’m Nuyorican. I enjoy Latin food. I love my Latin food. I currently live in Miami. I’m used to a certain level of service when eating out. This place blew all of that out of the water. The food, the service the atmosphere, everything is top notch. Our waiter always made sure we were taken care of. The food was fresh and hot and delicious. The dessert was out of this world. And for the price!? You can’t find something better. So if you find yourself in DR and not in the overpopulated parts, definitely try El Tablón in Santiago and let your taste buds run wild. Until next time folks! Enjoy the meal!!

The Tablon Latico offers a wonderful environment that’s perfect for gathering with friends and family. The food is excellent, and they have a wide variety of options to satisfy everyone’s tastes.

I’ve been here 2 or 3 times and I love it, food is great and so are the drinks, the environment is nice quiet, a bit pricey but still good!

The service and food is amazing. They were super friendly and attentive

It started off promising. The waiter was friendly and made good recommendations. However, after our food arrived, the service completely fell apart. No one checked on us for over 45 minutes. We didn’t notice at first because we were chatting, but once we tried to order another drink, it was impossible to get anyone’s attention. Meanwhile, another table (clearly considered more “important”) got all the service and attention. It was not busy. When we finally did get someone’s attention, they just cleared the table and gave us the check without bothering to share the dessert menu which looked great from what I could see from the other table. At that point, I just wanted to leave. It was extremely frustrating and I should have called them out on it because the food was actually good, but the poor, inattentive service ruined what could’ve been a great experience.

Food was pretty good. However the service was absolutely terrible. Waiter took out drink orders then after 20 min not taking out orders we got the attention of another waiter. The original waiter would walk past our table and not ask a thing. No one ever asked how the food was, whether we wanted anything else, if we wanted a refill on drinks and didn’t at least offer water! They charged automatic 18% gratuity and I should have asked for the manager rather than pay a gratuity
