El Tablón Latino

I had a wonderful dining experience at this Latin restaurant near the Monument to the Heroes of the Restoration. I was dining solo, but the staff made me feel completely welcome — the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. The food was outstanding! I ordered a beautifully cooked fish dish with roasted potatoes and cherry tomatoes — flavorful and perfectly seasoned. I also tried the seafood in tomato sauce topped with fresh avocado, and it was deliciously fresh and full of flavor. You can really taste the quality ingredients and the care put into each dish. It’s a great spot whether you’re dining alone or with others. Highly recommended if you’re in Santiago and looking for a place with great food, great service, and a relaxed atmosphere near the monument.

A Gem, a Latino eclectic food experience. An overwhelming surprise that brought great joy. The chef combined many Latin flavors to incorporate a unique experience with delight. Service was impeccable. They had menus in English which was very accommodating. Not expensive but would’ve paid double if it was without question. The chef should be very proud of his cuisine.

Located right on a historic road in Santiago, Dominican Republic, El Tablón Latino is one of the best spots to get some good food. My fiancé and I are traveling doing some wedding planning stuff, and she insisted that we come here as it has always been one of her favorite places. So we went. Let me preface this by saying, I’m Nuyorican. I enjoy Latin food. I love my Latin food. I currently live in Miami. I’m used to a certain level of service when eating out. This place blew all of that out of the water. The food, the service the atmosphere, everything is top notch. Our waiter always made sure we were taken care of. The food was fresh and hot and delicious. The dessert was out of this world. And for the price!? You can’t find something better. So if you find yourself in DR and not in the overpopulated parts, definitely try El Tablón in Santiago and let your taste buds run wild. Until next time folks! Enjoy the meal!!

The Tablon Latico offers a wonderful environment that’s perfect for gathering with friends and family. The food is excellent, and they have a wide variety of options to satisfy everyone’s tastes.

We were three people dining without a reservation on a Friday night and expected a long wait, but it was only about 20 minutes. Totally worth it! We scored front-row tables with an incredible view of the monument, which made the evening extra special. The temperature was perfect—not too hot, even for July—which made dining outdoors comfortable and enjoyable. The drinks were great, and the food was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The overall vibe of the place was fantastic and lively. The next day, I even recommended this spot to another guest at the hotel I was staying at. Definitely a must-visit!
