Elafonisi Resort by Kalomirakis Family

I strongly believe there is no better option available if you want to spent the night close to Elafonisi beach. Rooms were beautiful renovated, breakfast at the restaurant was perfect. Convenient private parking with shade, friendly staff and whisper quit at night. Just a few minutes walk from the beach so sun bed and umbrella assured 🤗 Would book again for sure.

We were there in July, driving by car from Rethymno - it took around 3 hours. A big parking is near- 5 € per a day. Then we should go by walk maybe 5-7 minutes to the beach with pink sand. The sea is so warm and clean there. It was really pink sand ,but a little bit mixed because of majority of tourists. Many locations for making nice pictures. We stayed here 4 hours. It was so hot, 🔥 36 C, but we enjoyed it! The road we drove was in a mountains and every time we turned for safety. It was really extreme driving,but we liked it!

This place was a surprise. Fair prices, nice and new rooms with all needs, free parking. Consider that you're 5 min walking from elafonissi beach. Also the tavern downstairs is beautiful both for breakfast and for dinner, also for kids.

The beach can be quite crowded, its a lot quieter on the small island which is a 10 minute walk from the main beach. There are no kiosks on the island so take your own food and drink. If you're driving park at the 3€ carpark opposite the first supermarket

Yep, it's a great place to stay if you want to experience elafonisi beach. We had a very roomy apartment with a lot of space for 2 adults and 2 kids. The family running the resort and restaurant are all very friendly and super helpful. Everything was clean and well maintained. You can also park for free right at your apartment/house. From the resort it's a 10min walk to the beach and yes the beach is absolutely beautiful. The sand is soft and you can walk far in the water without it ever getting too deep, which was perfect for our 4 year old girls. There is also a mini market with essentials you would probably need during your stay. And the beach has a little shop with drinks, coffee and ice cream. I think the resort is the best place to stay if you want to experience the beach cause it's a long, windy road, that you wouldn't want to drive multiple times. So it's great to have a nice place right at the beach if you want a few days there.

Very friendly staff, I arrived late and was able to check in and order food after the kitchen had officially closed! The room was perfect and big! Had a large balcony with sea views, sadly it was too windy to enjoy but what a convenient spot! If you want to beat the crowds in Elafonisi and be able to go early/late afternoon/before the tourist buses its worth staying here - lots of secret beaches to discover past the tourist path! Enjoyed the taverna every night too!

I'm starting with the negative aspects because that's why people read reviews after all: the water in our sink in the bathroom had a nasty smell (it disappeared after about 5 seconds of leaving the faucet on) and the showerhead wasn't attached to the wall which kinda made it a bit hard to wash your hair as a woman. Also, we had a minor water leakage in our room but the problem was quickly resolved by staff. That's all. If you want an unforgettable experience in Elafonisi with affordable and very delicious food, absolutely book a room at this Resort. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. The resort is surrounded by beautiful olive trees that truly enhanced the greek/cretan experience to the max. The room we booked was very spacious and furnished with nice modern furniture. The beds were absolutely comfortable, altough a bit on the softer side. My boyfriend prefers hard matresses but still managed to sleep well. The balcony was very spacious as well. Now to their Restaurant. I've had the best shrimps of my life there. Very delicious. The food is delicious overall, there wasn't one dish that I ordered that I did not like except for the chocolate ice cream as dessert. It was bland. My boyfriend still raves about the baklava, saying it's the best baklava he's had in his entire life. I feel the same about their chocolate soufflé. Also, if you choose to dine at their restaurant, you'll have a dinner with an incredible view, as you can see the spectacular cretan sunset perfectly well from there. Elafonisi beach is a good 8 minute walk and easy to find. Overall, this was a very pleasant experience, I recommend the Elafonisi Resort by Kalomirakis Family to 1000% and whenever we're returning to Elafonisi, we will definitely book at this resort again.
