Not exactly sure what kind of experience people are having here but I've been here recently and the coffee is great. If you've been in Hamburg a while you've been to Elbgold at one of their locations and you either come for the coffee or you don't. Nevertheless, I found the people here to be pleasant and didn't get any negative vibe whatsoever. They didn't treat and greet me like family but I am not regularly here. They did their job, I had a great coffee, sat at the counter and worked on my computer a bit, and then went about the rest of my day happily. Only thing to note is that their seating is not set up to sit and work there all day but I am good with that. They focus on good coffee and that is what I expect when I go here. Not looking for it to be a lounge or co-working like space where I sit for hours. There are other places where that is better.
