Kudos to the team—they manage the flow of customers so swiftly, even on a super busy Sunday afternoon, while keeping a smile on their face and being fast&efficient. I was impressed—this level of service is not a given at most of popular places (left alone, coffeeshops). Naturally, Elbgold has quite a name in Hamburg—their blends are phenomenal, and this year I also discovered their sweet and savoury pastry selection. Should I say that everything was on point, and the cardamom bun is the best one I’ve had in a while.

Wide variety of coffee and mixes, roasted and curated on site.. Coffee is also well served in various ways so that you may get a taste and a whiff before you bring home your beans.. banana bread is also decent.. prices tad bit higher than other roasteries we visited in Hamburg

One of the really good coffee places in Hamburg!! We had the cold filter coffee and a crème brûlée bun which was amazing. The place is really nice and the ambience is top notch!

One of the best coffee roasters in Hamburg. The coffee is always fresh and of very high quality, with great options whether for Flat White, V60, or espresso. The place is spacious and has a nice vibe for specialty coffee lovers. The staff are professional and happy to explain the different beans. Highly recommended!

Short and crunchy (as the Alman likes to say): Elbgold just owns the game. The design as well as the baristas and their equipment is sophistically dedicated to the fine art of coffee - and, most importantly: their latte comes with two shots of espresso. Aromatic and characteristic - a proper place for coffee connoisseurs. Cheers. P.S. plus points for their wide variety of vegan food.

I’ve visited this café many times. They roast their own beans, so you can really taste the freshness. I often had a flat white or cappuccino here, and they were really delicious. The interior is small, but since many people sit on the terrace, I was usually able to find a spot inside. I also bought some beans, but they were a bit pricey, which was a bit disappointing.

Super kind and fast service from the staff. Very detailed and helpful information about each coffee. The coffee was great. The pastry was nice. The simple design of the space is comfortable! They have a nice selection of beans that they roast. They also grind the coffee for you upon request.

Had the pleasure of visiting this place while visiting my family in Hamburg… Not enough words to describe how delicious everything is there! Amazing coffee from my birth country, Costa Rica … the smell and taste was incredible! The costumer service was spectacular too, and the bread used in the sandwiches was tasty. We travel lots, and so far, it’s one of our favorite places around the world that we’ve visited.
