A hidden gem! We had a room on the newly renovated 5th floor. Location is perfect, walking distance to most major attractions. Staff were amazing! Will definitely stay here again

I recently stayed at this hotel, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. We are very disappointmed 1. The dining experience was quite disappointing. Even in Friday dinner, I found the food to be inadequate and unsatisfactory. With no selection, and what was available lacked flavor and quality. I left the meal feeling hungry, which is unacceptable for any dining experience. 2. The weather during my stay was surprisingly cold, and to my dismay, the hotel did not provide adequate heating. The lack of heat in both the common areas and my room was uncomfortable. What made this situation even more frustrating was the apparent indifference of the hotel staff towards this issue. It was particularly disheartening to realize that they seemed unconcerned about the fact that there was an infant (3 months old) who was affected by the cold. 3. Last thing is the key - every time I left the room I had to go back down to re-code the key card In all honesty, I even considered packing up my family, including a young child and an infant, and heading back home because of these issues.

I cannot say enough great things about Othman at Eldan Hotel! Today, I must have called at least eight times, changing four different reservations at least five times—and through it all, Othman remained kind, patient, and incredibly helpful. No matter how many adjustments I needed, he handled everything with professionalism, efficiency, and the best customer service I’ve ever experienced.||Othman went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, and he did it with such a positive attitude that I felt like I was his top priority every second he worked with me. He is truly the definition of exceptional hospitality! If every hotel had an Othman, the world of travel would be a much smoother. Thank you, Othman, for your patience and dedication—you are amazing!

Horrible hotel. Do not recommend at all. There is nothing to eat, no variety at all. Even what is there is really, really not tasty. |Everything is crowded - the parking lot, the dining room is cramped. There is no room to breathe. |In addition, we are there with a three-year-old girl and a two-month-old baby in April and it was cold (6 degrees) and there was no air conditioning on the heat and they did not have radiators to bring us. |We suffered every moment. A waste of money and time.

I had the most wonderful experience at the Eldad hotel, and can't wait to stay again. The staff was wonderful, the building beautiful, the location perfect, the food amazing, and it was a true pleasure to stay there. Being my first time in Israel, the staff was knowledgeable, considerate, and welcoming at all times. Sharon at the front desk was very kind to give alot of information about everything in the area to see, how to get where, and was well informed with the city. She was an overall genuinely warm person, which was such a joy because she was always happy, smiling and up for conversation. I really appreciate her and felt like I knew at least one person in the city, in a city where I knew no one, and felt she was genuinely interested in my well being and stay in general. She was also extremely flexible with my check out time, because I had a very late night flight. I have NEVER had a hotel be so accommodating!| |The location was absolutely perfect! I could get to the Old City in a 5-10 min walk, the museums in about 20, the mall in a few mins, and the markets and restaurants within 10 mins- it was perfect and I never needed a cab or bike to see so much of Jerusalem, including all the Old City. In the shadow of the historic YMCA, and with a convenience store nearby, so many beautiful and green parks to stroll, the location could not of been better. ||The breakfast spread was incredible!!! I am vegan, but because there was so much selection, of all kinds of foods, I had a massive selection and the presentation was gorgeous, clean, and neat. The breakfast equally matched how beautiful the decor inside, and outside with the patio seating area. I felt like I was in a boutique hotel, and there were alot of impressive details, from the books on the shelves, to the 2 shower head in the showers, to the morning coffee machine options.... everything was very above what I expected and I was incredibly pleased with my stay and would love to stay there, and only there, again soon. Thank you very much to the front desk staff, the kitchen and breakfast staff, and housecleaning staff- everyone was really great.

Perfect stay. Absolutely exceptional for an inexpensive hotel. Clean. Good breakfast. Great location and 5-star service. They were able to help me with my travel questions. Simple but lovely sitting area in the lobby when friends stopped by. Will stay here again on my next trip.

The location of this hotel cant be beat, the staff is very friendly, the breakfast is very abundant with great choices, better than more expensive hotels I have stayed at in Jerusalem. Walking distance to the Mamila mall and easy walk to the old city.|I stayed 10 nights while on a program and it really felt like being home.

my mother always told me to take the extra time to give a compliment.. so here it is: the eldan is situated in a wonderful location- across the street from the king david hotel, a 4 minute stroll to the mamilla mall and a 5-6 minute walk downhill to jaffa gate. they have hot water for tea and coffee and yummy cookies available friday night and all day saturday in the lobby. last year i stayed here, and the CORNER room was fine. the breakfast was quasi adequate. and now: last week i stayed here, to be close to my tourists staying at the inbal. the room: 407: stay away from unless you want to recreate the experience of being in a doll house. there was no luggage rack, and to walk around the bed you are almost brushing against the walls. the bathroom floor tile was cracked, the toilet seat had been painted over the chips, there was enough hairs to collect DNA samples from previous guests and there was only luke warm water in morning shower. dining room: the sign at the check in said dinner friday night starts at 7pm. i showed up 7:15 and was refused a piece of cake, told it was frozen and to wait. i insisted, and was allowed to take a piece from the buffet. i came back an hour late to eat- the challah rolls were still cold/semi frozen. the grilled? baked? chicken fillets were hard enough to resole ancient sandals, one of the cooked meats was uncuttable, and couldve been used as ballast material at masada. the other meat was edible. the soup was boiled water with vegetables, no spices added- perfect for those who love bland par excellence. breakfast was quasi ok. i dont know what happened here - but i wouldnt request to repeat this experience unless i can be sure it has radically improved.
