"A classic Plaka hotel close to Syntagma Square, the Electra Palace checks all the boxes for convenient location, rooftop restaurant overlooking the Acropolis, comfortable rooms, plus niceties like a gym, spa, and pool. Spacious suites feature views of the Parthenon, marble bathrooms with Jacuzzi tubs, and handwoven carpets. A Greek breakfast buffet is served in the downstairs garden, and drinks and food are served all day on the fifth-floor rooftop. Hydrating facials, body wraps, and Cretan olive oil massages are given at the spa, which also has a heated indoor pool and jacuzzi. For spring and summer visitors, an afternoon at the outdoor pool overlooking the city’s monuments and neoclassical archicture is practically a requirement."

Excellent hotel fully deserving of this 5 star review. Clean. Quiet. Great location for all the sights, and for shopping if that's your thing. Not flashy, but attractive in a pleasing low-key way. The roof top restaurant with views of the Acropolis is a real winner and the excellent breakfast served there was a lovely way to start each day. All the staff were professional, friendly and very welcoming. People have commented on the rooms being small but we found ours to be fine, very comfortable and well appointed. We would be very happy to stay here again.

We stayed here twice recently, for a total of seven nights. It is an excellent hotel and we will certainly stay again next time we are in Athens. The rooms are very comfortable, and we went for one with a balcony and an Acropolis view, which was really great. The only slight downside was noise from the corridor and other rooms and the noise of the chairs on the balcony above our room, but that was a minor issue. The breakfast was first class, though the breakfast area is really too small for the number of people staying in the hotel, which results in a surprisingly cramped experience whilst getting food and drink from the buffet. You often had to queue. We had a drink there each night, and found the views of the Acropolis just stunning. Staff were uniformly excellent, and considerate. The location literally could not be better, right in the middle of the Plaka. All the main sights are within easy walking distance, which meant we could walk everywhere. So, an outstanding hotel. We have stayed in several other central Athens hotels, and this is the best.

Fantastic 5 star hotel where we stayed 3 nights. PROS -the breakfast with view on the Acropolis was definitely our favorite thing. The breakfast is so abundant too and includes all the Greek things I crave year long when abroad. Also the staff are super nice and serve drinks to the table unlike many other hotel breakfasts. -rooms are extremely spacious and comfortable. Aircon worked well too. -bathrooms were large and private as you want them. I think their bathrobe was one of the fluffiest and comfiest I’ve ever had in a hotel. I should have bought one. -location was 10/10, 5min away from the main square of Syntagma. Allows to visit all of Athens by foot. We even got to the hotel via public transport from the airport which was quite practical in fact. -friendly front desk and staff in general notably the ladies at the SPA -great Sauna -great value for money CONS -gym is very limited: 3 cardio machines and a few dumbbells and a bench. Not even a bike. -indoor pool is pretty small too (10m long) and the Spa area in general requires making a booking slot of 45min. A bit odd but it was still nice to have. (The outdoor pool was closed in Winter) -the corridors were extremely hot (a comment more for the hotel than the guests I guess)

We liked the location as it is near many of the sites you wish to visit in Athens. The rooftop bar/breakfast area was a highlight of the hotel for us. The room was fine, it was clean and comfortable. We had no view from our room (which we expected) so the pool bar and rooftop area were appreciated even more. I'd stay here again.

What a fantastic hotel. Staff couldn't do enough for us, they were all very friendly and helpful. Rooms were great and the food was amazing! Location is perfect too. Head north for the centre or South for the much more intimate Plaka. Both are on your doorstep. Definitely try the Ducktail Bar and the Poolbar.

A thoroughly modern hotel, beautifully situated in the heart of Athens close to Syntagma Square and with views of the Acropolis. Our suite was very comfortable and well-appointed, the dining room was excellent with lovely views of the Acropolis, both day & night. Staff were well-trained and efficient and the breakfasts were superb. A high level of cleanliness was evident throughout and the bed was especially comfortable.

this is a great hotel. the staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. the rooms were very comfortable and well appointed. it is in a great neighborhood with multiple shops and restaurants around it. the hamburger bar was terrific. the burgers were tasty, better than most we would eat in KC. you can eat inside or at a few tables on the sidewalk. the complimentary breakfast buffet is plentiful and nicely varied. the view of the acropolis from the rooftop restaurant is amazing, especially at night. we really look forward to a return visit, just to stay there.

Hotel was worth the value. Many room amenities! Great location. Great roof top restaurant. The welcome gift was unexpected! concierge was wonderful to work with, we used many of her suggestions from where to go for sites, restaurants, shopping. View from our room was ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Only thing I would maybe add is a Netflix option on tv. Also for this high end of a hotel it’s not appropriate to only have 2 bath towels. Many people use an extra. We could have asked, but like I said shouldn’t need to if they are providing an experience.
