Electra Palace Athens

Loved this hotel, stayed as a family, with two teenagers in the beginning of July. Great location in the heart of Plaka: from the narrow shopping streets, turn a corner and you walk into the quieter street of the hotel. The location is perfect, steps away from the Acropolis hill, the Acropolis museum, shopping streets, Syntagma, etc. The reception area is an airy, elegant, classic style. The 8th floor restaurant (I recommend eating outside) has a view on the Acropolis, same for the 4th floor pool area. The pool is not big, but very nice and just what you need after the heat of Athens in the summer. Drinks and snacks are served there but also easy to get oneself, from the outside bar a few steps higher up. It is not a big pool, same goes for the seating/lounge area around it, but even for us in a busy week, seating (beanbags or loungebeds) always became available after a short while. There is an indoor pool also, that we didn't use. If ever we go back to Athens, will definitely stay here again.

This hotel is exquisite! The rooms are great, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The top floor restaurant does fantastic food, whether it is a lovely breakfast with freshly squeezed juice, hot coffee and a wide selection of options or a evening meal of delicious local food choices, you can't go wrong - especially with a beautiful view (photo from restaurant included) of the Acropolis. There is a lovely rooftop pool that is great for relaxing around or a quick dip. Great place to stay in the heart of this absolutely stunning city.

Amazing location, staff, and hotel. We stayed a couple nights prior to our cruise and the hotel was the perfect location for walking to the shopping districts/plaka/acropolis, etc. We arrived very early from a long flight and the staff was able to secure room for us not too long after we arrived. We appreciated the early check in! The view room views were great and the rooftop breakfast/bar/restaurant is a must go. Only downside was our hotel was suppose to have a balcony which I thought was a walk out, but only the doors opened up. Zoho restaurant is also a must go, it was delicious!

Amazing hotel and fantastic service. The rooms have great air conditioning. The pool is amazing and has bar service. The staff is very helpful and welcoming. It’s also in the best location ever, close to everything. The breakfast was absolutely amazing. It is a very good sized buffet with rooftop seating with acropolis views. Amazing

The hotel lobby provides an impressive entrance and the staff were all friendly and welcoming. The positive points are as follows: ||1) The hotel is clean and well kept.|2) The breakfast is exceptional as are the views from the breakfast dining room.|3) Lovely roof top pool. |4) Good location. ||The negatives are:||1) Very small rooms and particularly the bathrooms. We went on a cruise after staying in the hotel and the ship bathroom was bigger!|2) While clean and perfectly fine the rooms lacked the luxury feel you would expect of a 5 star hotel.

The Electra Palace Athens hotel is a TripAdvisor Traveler's Choice Award winner. ||Since we were only staying a couple days, we felt the Electra Palace Athens was well located so we could walk everywhere in Plaka. It is very close to the Acropolis and Acropolis Museum. There are plenty of places to dine and drink in the area. The lobby is very elegant. Our room was very nice, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom very clean and well appointed. The staff was very helpful and available to answer our questions and provide directions.||Do not miss going to the roof top restaurant, even if just for a drink to take in the view of the Acropolis as the sun sets....bring your camera! As a bonus, catch breakfast at the roof top restaurant in the morning to take in an entirely different view of the famed ruins.||We did not have time to use the pool but it looked very relaxing.

This is our new go-to hotel in Athens. Service is top notch, accommodations are excellent, and the location is outstanding. Their rooftop restaurant has an amazing view and is also excellent. Their staff is very welcoming and made us feel like regulars even though it was our first visit. We would definitely stay here again (next time for longer!).

Amazing hotel, extremely pleasant, courteous and accommodating staff, top to bottom. The breakfast is superb. The spa (Aegeo Spa) on the first floor gave us two of the best massages we’ve had. Ask for John and Mahi - they are incredible. This was our second time here in two years. We will be back.
