"A classic Plaka hotel close to Syntagma Square, the Electra Palace checks all the boxes for convenient location, rooftop restaurant overlooking the Acropolis, comfortable rooms, plus niceties like a gym, spa, and pool. Spacious suites feature views of the Parthenon, marble bathrooms with Jacuzzi tubs, and handwoven carpets. A Greek breakfast buffet is served in the downstairs garden, and drinks and food are served all day on the fifth-floor rooftop. Hydrating facials, body wraps, and Cretan olive oil massages are given at the spa, which also has a heated indoor pool and jacuzzi. For spring and summer visitors, an afternoon at the outdoor pool overlooking the city’s monuments and neoclassical archicture is practically a requirement."

We were very satisfied with our stay at this hotel. The hotel is beautiful and well maintained. There is room service available in the morning and evening, and the rooms are cleaned daily. The restaurant is amazing, located on the rooftop with a stunning view of the Acropolis in Athens. The view is incredible both during the day and at night. The cocktails are excellent, and the breakfast is very good with a wide variety of options. The only downside is the street where the hotel is located. It is very busy both day and night, with constant traffic, motorcycles, car horns, and people shouting, sometimes until the early morning. If you plan to stay here, I strongly recommend requesting a room that does not face the street, otherwise it may be difficult to sleep. We are currently staying at this hotel, and the location is excellent. It is very central and convenient for exploring the city. We also asked the reception for restaurant recommendations, and they suggested three places — all of them were fantastic. Their suggestions were spot on.

Where do I start was amazing from start to finish all the staff couldn't do enough for you we arrived quite late as flight bit delayed asked about getting food was told to use the rooftop restaurant view amazing along with the food out room was amazing fabulous view of the acropolis which looked amazing all lit up. Went for breakfast plenty of choice and lovely fresh orange juice. Room was lovely and warm on the cold evenings. On our last night a lovely gift was left us from manager, thought it was a really nice touch you don't get from the big corporate hotels. If we ever come back to Athens,.which I think we will we will definitely be returning to the Electra palace

This was our second time staying at the Electra Palace, and it reminded us exactly why we chose this hotel again. We stayed here 4 years ago and loved it, so returning was an easy decision. On the day of our arrival, we realized we had accidentally booked the hotel for the wrong date—basically a day late. We called the hotel, and the staff immediately helped us fix the issue and arranged a room for us at their sister property, Electra Metropolis. Their professionalism and kindness turned what could have been a stressful situation into a smooth experience. The location in Plaka is unbeatable—right in the middle of everything. You can walk to restaurants, cafés, shops, and historic sites within minutes. It’s the perfect base to explore Athens. Just like our previous stay, the staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and helpful. We booked the suite facing the Acropolis, and it is absolutely worth it—one of the best room options with a breathtaking, iconic view. Highly recommend Electra Palace for anyone visiting Athens. We will absolutely be coming back again!

Excellent hotel fully deserving of this 5 star review. Clean. Quiet. Great location for all the sights, and for shopping if that's your thing. Not flashy, but attractive in a pleasing low-key way. The roof top restaurant with views of the Acropolis is a real winner and the excellent breakfast served there was a lovely way to start each day. All the staff were professional, friendly and very welcoming. People have commented on the rooms being small but we found ours to be fine, very comfortable and well appointed. We would be very happy to stay here again.

We stayed here twice recently, for a total of seven nights. It is an excellent hotel and we will certainly stay again next time we are in Athens. The rooms are very comfortable, and we went for one with a balcony and an Acropolis view, which was really great. The only slight downside was noise from the corridor and other rooms and the noise of the chairs on the balcony above our room, but that was a minor issue. The breakfast was first class, though the breakfast area is really too small for the number of people staying in the hotel, which results in a surprisingly cramped experience whilst getting food and drink from the buffet. You often had to queue. We had a drink there each night, and found the views of the Acropolis just stunning. Staff were uniformly excellent, and considerate. The location literally could not be better, right in the middle of the Plaka. All the main sights are within easy walking distance, which meant we could walk everywhere. So, an outstanding hotel. We have stayed in several other central Athens hotels, and this is the best.

Fantastic 5 star hotel where we stayed 3 nights. PROS -the breakfast with view on the Acropolis was definitely our favorite thing. The breakfast is so abundant too and includes all the Greek things I crave year long when abroad. Also the staff are super nice and serve drinks to the table unlike many other hotel breakfasts. -rooms are extremely spacious and comfortable. Aircon worked well too. -bathrooms were large and private as you want them. I think their bathrobe was one of the fluffiest and comfiest I’ve ever had in a hotel. I should have bought one. -location was 10/10, 5min away from the main square of Syntagma. Allows to visit all of Athens by foot. We even got to the hotel via public transport from the airport which was quite practical in fact. -friendly front desk and staff in general notably the ladies at the SPA -great Sauna -great value for money CONS -gym is very limited: 3 cardio machines and a few dumbbells and a bench. Not even a bike. -indoor pool is pretty small too (10m long) and the Spa area in general requires making a booking slot of 45min. A bit odd but it was still nice to have. (The outdoor pool was closed in Winter) -the corridors were extremely hot (a comment more for the hotel than the guests I guess)

We liked the location as it is near many of the sites you wish to visit in Athens. The rooftop bar/breakfast area was a highlight of the hotel for us. The room was fine, it was clean and comfortable. We had no view from our room (which we expected) so the pool bar and rooftop area were appreciated even more. I'd stay here again.

A thoroughly modern hotel, beautifully situated in the heart of Athens close to Syntagma Square and with views of the Acropolis. Our suite was very comfortable and well-appointed, the dining room was excellent with lovely views of the Acropolis, both day & night. Staff were well-trained and efficient and the breakfasts were superb. A high level of cleanliness was evident throughout and the bed was especially comfortable.
