Electric Sheep Restaurant

Delicious food, comfortable lively atmosphere and a fantastic selection of local Thai spirits, including Sato (rice beer) and even Thai natural wine. Everything on the menu is sourced with Thai ingredients, with some surprising additions to the tasting menu like squid roe and lions mane mushrooms, and the fresh pasta with coconut milk and toasted macadamia. The tapas served at the beginning of the chef menu are served together, the use of lots of fermented ingredients and the grilled breads were a highlight. The menu is given to you with a “visual aid” vintage Kodak slide viewer - so fun. Electric Sheep has both an indoor area and a cozy rooftop, and is located in a really interesting building, full of other bars, vibey restaurants, boutique shops, and a cute coconut gelato spot downstairs. Would definitely come back on my next visit! There are a lot of stairs and not a lot of bathrooms.

We had an excellent evening at Electric Sheep; start to finish we were beaming with delight. 3 of us and we each did the chef’s cut - though the restaurant catered to 3 wildly different dining requirements (vegetarian, non-seafood, and one with no restrictions). It was a rare treat to get to experience exactly what I wanted in a tasting menu. Each course we exclaimed that it was our favorite. There was a pasta dish that we swore was a green curry flavor only to learn it was the magical mélange of completely different flavors that conjured that. Atmosphere and staff were excellent. We heard 70s soul music much of the night and were all 3 so relaxed and joyful. The real hero of the night (in addition to the chef) were our desserts - we tried 3 different ones and couldn’t pick the winner. I’d go back just for those desserts. Thank you SO much Electric Sheep; keep doing what you’re doing!

back in may we stumbled down the road into here after finding out there was a private event at charmgang. funnily enough this place became one of the highlights of our bangkok trip. the tuna gazpacho was one of the best appetizers ive had - tangy tomato base, fresh hits of herbs, high quality fish. I actually licked the bowl clean. macadamia nut crusted squid+squid roe dish was so good we ordered it twice. i dont even know how to explain this dish, its just the truth. ostrich egg carbonara was a pleasant surprise. its super creamy with a unique gaminess cutting through that density from time to time, as they opt for ostrich meat over guanciale. yangnyeom style fried softshell crab was awesome too. the flavor and texture of korean fried chicken, but delicate because of the crab meat. great in-house drinks. the staff here is lovely. The Electric Sheep feels like a passion project with everyone from the chef to the hostess on board. will 100% return if im ever in bangkok again.

An interesting twist on Mediterranean tapas using Thai ingredients, with beautiful plating and extraordinary drinks. The restaurant has a cozy, urban atmosphere and a creative, contemporary approach. The seating on the bench was a bit uncomfortable. The tapas were a bit hit and miss, but mostly tasty. We especially enjoyed the sweet grilled lion’s mane mushroom and the octopus. The salad and the gnocchi, however, didn’t quite convince us – they were fine, but not particularly memorable. The strawberry dessert was excellent and a real highlight. Overall, the pricing felt somewhat high for Bangkok, around 20% above what we would consider reasonable for this level.

This place is a gem! From the moment we entered the space, we’re transported to this dystopian world. The interior and the decor are a feast to our eyes, love every corner! The staffs were all brilliant! Sakura is the sweetest, she’s the reason we came back a second time during our 5day trip in Bangkok, we just love her energy! Sam and Jennifer were lovely too! Bua the bartender made amazing drinks, it’s really nice of her for showing us around and sharing about their commitment to zero waste. Now, the food ~ not only they’re presented beautifully, each dish has its own uniqueness, you can tell that a lot of thoughts went into crafting the menu, also.. love how it uses Thai ingredients (they grow some of them on their rooftop ~ how cool is that). What I personally find special about this place is there’s this warmth coming from the two chefs and every single one of the crew, like you can tell they just love what they’re doing and genuinely love sharing it. We will definitely be back :)

Such an unique experience! Their tasting menu is crafted with sustainability and creativeness in mind - like turning prawn head and shell into tortillas chips. Their food is very unique, tasty, and burst with flavor. All the waiters are very enthusiastic with their job; explaining their menu with passion and love. I came across Sakura, who greeted me with warmth and passion and loves what she does. 10/10 would return with friends and/or family!

How is this place not a Michelin star already?? Cool vibes, SUPER attentive staff (Samantha, Emily and Sabai), and the food blew my mind! Coming from 5-star hotel background I can assure you the team who created this place knows exactly what they’re doing. The whole experience from menu offering to send off was meticulously thought out. And the most amazing dish is actually the chicken! OMG of all the main ingredients it was the chicken I had a food orgasm with. I don’t know if walk-in’s will be possible in a couple months but if you’re in Bangkok and you crave for modern tapas cuisine that represents Thailand/Bangkok flavors please please consider Electric Sheep. It doesn’t make sense how amazing the food can be, even the name of place! Thank you so much Electric Sheep. Stay amazing

I had a fantastic Christmas Eve dinner at Electric Sheep! It’s on the fourth floor of the cutest collective called The Warehouse that houses several cool restaurants, cafes, and bars. Everything I ate was incredible, and the service was great. The chef kindly sent me a complementary dessert, the tiramisu, which was just the icing on the cake. If nothing else, you have to try the pan con tomate! Their take on this dish is like nothing I’ve ever had. I got to sit next to the fermentation room, where they make tons of delicious concoctions from all Thai-grown food. I will be recommending this restaurant to everyone I meet who is visiting Bangkok.
