Lisbon Was Just Named the Best Culinary City Destination in Europe — Here Are Must-eat Places, According to a Local

"In Santos, you can pop in for another coffee and a quick snack at Ela Ela. Here, I recommend being a purist and just going for an espresso or cold brew, but again, you'll find just about every kind of drink your heart desires." - Stacey Leasca Stacey Leasca Stacey Leasca is an award-winning journalist and co-founder of Be a Travel Writer, an online course for the next generation of travel journalists. I love this place. The decorative theme is on-point (hat tip to the Marshall amp-looking Bluetooth speaker and the skateboard imagery) and the batch brew and chai latte with oat milk were among the best I've had. Great little spot!

One of the best chocolate croissants I had. The coffee is amazing and the place is cute. Unfortunately it’s quite pricey and the iced latte takeaway is not so big. An oat latte is 5.50€.

Absolutely perfect place! As someone who has worked in the specialty coffee industry for 9 years, I can say this is the highest quality of coffee beans and coffee-making. They use beans from the Danish coffee roastery La Cabra. It’s a paradise for coffee lovers, especially after visiting ‘traditional’ coffee shops. Just look at this amazing latte art on the cappuccino! The interior and vibe are so lovely, I don’t want to leave🩵

Amazing cortado and very friendly barista! One of the best in Lisbon for sure.

Excellent coffee and croissants! Great service from young, cool and friendly staff. We sadly missed the Basque cheesecake, which looked amazing, but wasn’t available the next time we came. Cute mugs with smiley faces on them!!

The coffee was okay but in my opinion not a “specialty coffee”. Far away from the quality of some other specialty coffee shops in the area. €3.90 is quite a lot for that I’d say. But what’s no comprehensible to me is the pricing of the croissants. For €6.50 I expected a really big croissant with avocado, tomato and sea salt. Instead it was a tiny one with 2 small slices of avocado. It didn’t taste bad but not even close to special enough for justifying the price.

The coffee and chai lattes are delicious. Good brewed temperature in other words, task coffee👍🏾 The place is, however, small (buying to be done about that) and had direct sunlight in the morning hours. Card, only. No cash accepted (and they don't take American Express!

Really good specialty coffee, good vibes. Honestly the best coffee shop in Santos. Oh, and did I say I love their gluten free cheesecake ?! Absolutely delicious. The service is also very welcoming. I just love this place.
