New York City's Best Museum Restaurants

"Opened in partnership with MoMA in 2005, this two-Michelin-starred dining destination elevated expectations for museum restaurants with refined tasting menus and impeccable service. The main dining room overlooks the museum’s sculpture garden and offers à la carte or eight-course tasting menus that showcase dishes like roast lamb with spiced cherries and Maine lobster atop smoked eggplant, while a more casual Bar Room serves local-favorite fried chicken and cocktails. The kitchen and bar often create dishes and drinks inspired by MoMA’s rotating exhibitions, making the menu feel actively tied to the museum’s programming." - Emily Saladino

Planned to stay 6 nights. Opted to pay the higher price vs other hotels in Fashion Center area based on pics, reviews and Marriott brand. Paid for a king and got two queens. Didn’t ask to switch because we knew we’d be canceling rest of reservation once we walked into room. Room is small. TV is smaller which wouldn’t be big deal except that it was across the room next to kitchenette. Also, there was no signal so we couldn’t watch. Carpet next to beds was dingy. Minor upkeep and maintenance issues. If the price was average, you’d get what you pay for.

The rooms we got looked great when we got there but soon it became apparent it wasn’t that great. The beds are okay but the pillows were horrible and would go flat. The walls are thin and I could hear the people upstairs walking and thumping around all night. If anyone was in the hall you could hear that too. I hardly slept that night. The pull out bed didn’t work right and had no sheets on it, I didn’t bother to ask for any because there were crumbs all over the mattress. The size of the rooms are nice for families with kids. Under the kitchen sink was a complimentary roll of paper towels, when I opened them they were hard and mold was growing all over it. Breakfast the next morning was less than desired. The labels for the food were lacking and not very many options. They had two different breakfast sandwiches but they weren’t labeled different. I am allergic to pepper and the one I got was a jalapeño biscuit with pepper jack cheese. All it said on the label was sausage, egg and cheese. I was very upset when I started eating it and started getting my reaction. The breakfast associate didn’t even greet us when we arrived, she often was gone for long stretches of time. She also wasn’t even dressed in a way you could tell she worked there, jeans, no name tag, and a hoodie. I watched as she wore gloves to clean up the breakfast areas of fallen food and then with the food in her hand she refilled some berries and other foods with those same dirty gloves. It was very gross. I don’t think I would return here with my kids if I had other options.

I don’t usually stay in Chandler when in Arizona for work but thought it a great middle ground between drives to Tucson, Scottsdale, and Gilbert offices to see my team and ensure they had everything they needed. From my arrival on I was well treated and found nothing. It professional and friendly staff for questions or concerns, even being stopped by a member so they could pull something from my hair on a windy day. I enjoyed a room I could put my things where they need to go and stay organized and a breakfast with a yogurt bar which is unique and a healthier route. The hotel is great proximity to many restaurants I could walk to and even to stretch legs a mall across the street neither of which require the use of a vehicle which is great when bouncing all over the place in your rental car. There’s a unique bunny statue out front I took photos of for my wife and kids to send to them during the travels. I’m likely to return here for similar trips. They even let me grab some of their dog treats to bring back to mine.

We are in the area for one week. We arrived at 10:00 pm on a Saturday. I had reserved a king room and was hoping for an upgrade. They were fully booked so no upgrade but he did indicate that I was assigned a larger room. When I got to the room I realized that larger means two queens not the king I reserved. Not a problem. The shower makes up for everything! One of the best walk-in showers and great water pressure! The daily breakfast is good especially the yogurt bar with delicious berries. An attendant constantly cleaning and replenishing food. I like that part of the floor is hardwood. Housekeeping is every other day but you can request daily. She did a good job. I always leave a tip. The only negative is that we didn't know much about the facility. Didn't know about the happy hour, pool hours, etc. I think they could put a flyer in the rooms. They probably have a QR code somewhere. So many restaurants within walking distance. We ate at a different one every night.

If I could give this location 10 stars I would!!! Beautiful, comfortable, clean room. Front desk was considerate, kind and went above and beyond!!! Amazing stay I highly recommend!!!

We have always appreciated staying here as it has one of the best family of 5 room setups - the 2 queens with a pull out couch. It works very well for us at a reasonable price. The free breakfast has been a big draw too, since that would set us back another $50-75 if we went to a restaurant each morning. The front desk was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast has definitely cut back over the recent years as it was now much less of a spread than before. It still does the job. Our room with the kitchenette and decent sized refrigerator are a big help. The bathroom light switch and some wall plug plates looked beat up and there were points of wear starting to come through around the room, but it is still in decent shape. Bed is ok but not what you would call comfortable. We will certainly be back again.

Great customer service as always, and the yogurt bar and happy hour make it one of my favorite hotel brands to stay at in America. I wanted to especially thank Ashley and Emilee for their fantastic customer service provided throughout my stay.

I had a great stay at the Element Fashion Center in Chandler. I found the staff very friendly and accommodating and nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfast was on par with what was expected, the choice is rather limited but enough to calm down and empty stomach in the morning.||During my stay the hotel had a social "happy hour" kind of event during which the served various nibbles and snacks and free beer; on my first evening at the hotel this happy hour was a good enough dinner for me.||I cannot forget to mention that I spent Halloween at the hotel lobby was adequately decorated.||The rooms are clean and well appointed and everything functions as intended.||If I find myself in the area again I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Yelp
Hotel was clean, modern, and beds were comfy. The guy checking me in was nice enough. Not friendly but not rude. I was surprised I was placed in a room on the first floor because my preference in my profile specifically states higher floor, away from elevators. But it was fine because it was for one night and I planned on getting up early to continue on my trip. My fave part of the hotel was that it had EV chargers and they were available! I appreciated that! Second fave part was that it had a fridge and not a mini one. I needed freezer space and it was handy. Rooms were big for one. I took a star off for 2 things: - being on first floor, I think I had an elephant above me. And it was stomping and running like a caged animal for a solid 10 minutes! - I hate pulling the Ambassador status card but I would've thought that would at least get me a room based on my profile preference. Every stay I've made this year, I walk into the room and there's a note or a little gift with a note to show loyalty appreciation. I don't expect it but would be nice to not have had a room exactly opposite of my preference. But oh well...again, it was for one night. Although my next night's stay was also one night and the management definitely paid more attention to loyalty status. Overall though, Element Chandler is a good choice.

Yelp
Stayed at the Element Chandler over the Labor Day weekend for a golf tournament. We liked the location (right next to a mall with many restaurants and shopping). We also chose Element for the complimentary EV charging. They basically have 4 EV charging stations. Two are "Tesla" chargers. One of the Tesla chargers is located near a handicap parking spot. One of the non-Tesla chargers was not working. One thing that would make these chargers more useful is if the users of them would move their cars when they are done charging. But that is not the Element's fault. We booked two queen beds. The room itself was pretty run down. The stove had a huge crack (see photo). The bathroom tile grout needs a lot of maintenance. The shower door would also not fully close. There was no bathtub. The staff that we interacted with were great. Especially Carson. The complimentary breakfast was pretty standard. Your selection of bread, bagels, and muffins. A small yogurt station and small selection of hot items. One day was scrambled eggs and bacon. The other day was a sausage and egg croissant. They had apple juice, cranberry juice and orange juice, too.

Yelp
This is one of the worst Marriotts I have ever stayed at. I left early and checked into a different hotel after spending a few nights here. The main reason I left was someone tried to break into my room. There is no security at this hotel. When I brought this up to the front desk, they responded "Yes we do need more security." During the nights I stayed before leaving early, the constant sex from guests above, along with someone across the hall yelling at his wife, was been completely unacceptable. Additionally, the water pressure is horrendous. I even saw a homeless person eating the free breakfast in the morning which was very concerning from an overall health perspective. I asked for the manager several times and they did not even return my call and the overall customer service of the employees really couldn't care less. I cannot tell you how disappointed I have been during this stay. I'm an elite Marriott member and this has never happened to me before. I will also be contacting the BBB.

Yelp
Spent one night here with the family. I chose this hotel because of proximity to our family that lives in Chandler and because I was curious to check out Marriott's new(ish) brand. The room had a full kitchen area, two queen beds, desk/sitting area and a nice sized bathroom. Overall the room felt a bit tight for five of us (two adults, three kids) but we were only resting our heads there. There is free breakfast in the morning and it is your basic chain hotel type breakfast assortment. The heated pool was on the smaller side but looked adequate. With the cooler temps we did not get to enjoy it. Overall, we had an a-okay stay. If we were staying in the area longer I would not choose this hotel again. For a newer hotel it didn't feel very new. I'm not sure if this is an extremely busy hotel or cleaning just isn't up to par.

Yelp
Clean and very convenient location that's close to everything. Kitchen in the room is nice and the swimming pool and lobby are nice. Beds seemed clean and comfortable. Only thing disappointing and keeping me from giving 5 stars was the lacking breakfast. We stayed 3 nights and the breakfast never changed and was super blah. Overall worth the stay.

Yelp
Convenient, clean and great price. Breakfast included, and great for extended stay with a full kitchen in the room, big gym and laundry facilities. The only negative for us was there was no standard ice bucket - had to get one from the front desk and only one ice machine in the laundromat on the first floor.

Yelp
Picked Element for its proximity to church we're going to the next day. I have to say I was pretty impressed. Modern vibes, clean room, decent complimentary breakfast. They even have a yogurt bar, yum. Booked a 2 queen bed suite but was upgraded to one bedroom king suite before I even gave them my Bonvoy card. Bonus: FREE EV charging, 2 Tesla (one not working, the other was handicap parking) and 2 J1772. Used plug converter and I was able to charge all night.

Yelp
Always a big fan of the element brand of hotels, and this one kept up with expectations. Element is a family friendly affordable hotel within Marriotts line. Fridges, kitchens, and larger spaces make it comfortable for larger groups and extended stays. Even better, Element has an excellent breakfast, with a great chobani yogurt bar, breakfast sandwiches, and other healthy goodies. The hotel is not huge, with parking all around (yes, you may have to walk if you dont get the perfect parking spot. Oh no! Walking!). Front desk staff is friendly and efficient, checked in and got to my room in less than 10 min. Elevators are slow for 4 floors but meh. Rooms are comfortable, large bathroom, and plenty of storage areas. TV could be larger, and honestly you have a view of a mall or parking lot. But this hotel is not a getaway resort.

Yelp
Great hotel when stopping through Chandler. Nothing fancy just a clean place to rest and have a free breakfast in the morning. The sheets on the bed felt a bit over washed and probably need replacing but overall it was an ok stay.

Yelp
Absolutely disgusting hotel, room was not cleaned before our arrival, checked in late and didn't want to mess with it. Checked out early as a result. Management doesn't care at all, reached out and never got a response.

Yelp
Its a decent place, adjacent to the mall. Stayed here during COVID-19 impacted restrictions in May and it was not a great experience. Basically the rooms are not cleaned at all during the entire stay! There are no breakfast snacks or anything at all in the morning. The staff is not friendly at all and my room was not ready at check in, so with a snotty attitude they found a different room for me. Lastly, as a Lifetime Platinum member (Yeah, well over 1,000 nights) I was not given any recognition at check in or during the stay. Not even a complimentary bottle of water. Even Premier member parking is not available in front of the hotel. Would not stay here again.

Yelp
I read reviews before our stay so I wasn't expecting anything amazing but for this particular trip all my husband and I needed was a place to sleep as we would be out and about most of the time. The location was nice, very convenient and a lot of places to visit nearby. The lobby and amenities were simple which was fine as they appeared clean. Continental breakfast was a nice touch, can't go wrong with a bagel and cream cheese. Enjoyed the yogurt parfait station and that they always had ice water in the lobby. Our room appeared clean aside from our bed. There was some weird residue on the comforter and we ended up just tossing the whole thing on the floor to avoid dealing with it as we checked in very late and needed to sleep. This made me paranoid about how clean anything else was here. Customer service is nowhere near what it should be for something owned by Westin. Staff didn't seem to be happy working here. We requested pillows and they had no one to deliver them so we had to go downstairs to grab them. Room service never ended up cleaning our room so we requested extra bath towels and they brought us ONE. They definitely don't go above or beyond at this hotel and they seem to be understaffed and lacking amenities to keep guests comfortable. Upon checking in they gave us a water bottle and when we asked for one more (there were two of us after all...) they said they ran out (???). Would not stay here again.

Yelp
First time staying at an Element hotel and I loved it! The service was great and the hotel was clean! We arrived early Friday morning around 8am and wanted to freshen up after breakfast so I called the hotel around 10 for an early check in and bam! I was able to check in without an extra fee. I arrived at the hotel and the staff already had my key made and ready to go! :) she was awesome. I was also welcomed to free coffee, tea and water all day long. This added perk was awesome and it saved us from going out and buying drinks. We got a double queen room that looked out at the pool and you can see the sunset. The room was decently sized and was very comfortable. It was nice to have a kitchen with a dishwater, microwave, toaster, exhaust fan and pots and pans but it wasn't needed. There was also a special filter for the water in the room! First time seeing that in a room. The beds are comfortable. They are soft but fairly firm which I thought was perfect. There were plenty of pillows and there was a sofa bed in our room too. The furniture in the room was definitely nice and modern and it feels comfortable. There is a desk if you want to do work or simply have a meal. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The shower was big and awesome. Water pressure was decent and I like how they have the soap dispensers. The soap was alright and nothing out of the ordinary. Plenty of counter space in the bathroom and the toilet is super strong. Lol Lastly, the breakfast was memorable. I'm a simple breakfast person and I am happy with muffins and juice. They have Chobani yogurt bar, a bunch of cereal like Froot Loop and Cheerios, bagels, English muffins, toast, bear claws, quiche, made to order pancakes, hard boiled eggs and pancakes made to order. It's a big variety but I was extremely happy with the muffins. They were warm when I got them. Overall great hotel for the price. Service was great! The elevator was fast. There is plenty of parking all around the hotel. Several entrances to the hotel. Lots of electric car charging stations. I'm definitely going to consider it when I'm traveling again. It is on par with Aloft and Tru.

Yelp
I booked a last minute flight and rental car hours before my friend's wedding, without a hotel; I found this hotel in the area and somehow it reminded me of a hotel in South Korea, maybe the layout? Regardless, it came up under Marriott property: Friendly staff, only stayed a few hours and caught a flight home the following day. Reminds me of Hilton's Home2 brand, clean and modern. Cost was $115, not bad for a weekend and located in a fashion mall center.

Yelp
Upfront bias (possibly halo effect): I'm a big fan of the Heavenly bed featured in the Westin collection...so I'm liking the place before we even get to the parking lot. As we tour the hotel, in and out, I'm loving the modern clean lines and efficient use of space in the suite. Finally, the breakfast buffet is a step above most with French toast on demand and a fresh berry and Chobani yogurt bar. Oh, and the premium coffee in a timed brewer is the first free hotel coffee I've enjoyed! For a reasonable price, there's a lot to love and without the luxury stuffiness. Back to the bed...on par with quiet space...the cradle is the most important element of the hotel stay, and this one is just sublimezzz

Yelp
Reserved an executive suite for our stay. It had been a very tough year for my wife so I was looking to splurge a little during our stay. When we arrived, I was informed that we had been downgraded due to overbooking on Expedia. Even though I've been a Bonvoy member for decades and even though I reserved the room on Marriott's own site, the room wasn't available (plus we had to wait over an hour past the listed check-in time for any room to be available). The clerk was very polite (not her fault) and I did raise this to the management staff but nothing was done to address the situation. Really poor customer service!

Yelp
It was my first time staying at The Element in Chandler, AZ. Well, come to think of it, it was my first time in AZ ever! After a nightmare of a stay in Coronado, CA (see previous review for the Hotel Del Coronado) I wasn't expecting much from this hotel. I arrived a couple of hours early, and I was greeted by a nice person at the front desk. I think her name may have been Brittany. She informed me my room wasn't ready yet and suggested I take a seat in their clean lobby. After reviewing my booking, she did tell me a handicapped room was available immediately. Why not? I decided to take her up on the offer and within minutes I was checked into my room. My room was extremely clean, it came with a refrigerator, microwave, and i think it also had a kitchenette. I forgot if it did or not, because if it did, i didnt use it. It gets extremely hot in AZ, but let me tell you, my room was nice and chilly, and my room had automatic curtains/blinds. The property itself is well maintained, it has a nice pool, gym, and every morning they offer breakfast with a nice Happy Hour in the evening. The service is amazing, the front desk staff is extremely helpful and polite. I stayed a total of 3 nights here and I would definitely recommend it. It's close to the mall and other restaurants (walking distance) and it's definitely a good value for your money. You will get 5 star service without paying the 5 star rate! I can't wait to to come back next month!

Yelp
I stayed one night on Sunday for work because the price couldn't be beat since Monday was a holiday, Columbus Day, but I don't stay during the week since it is in the suburbs and far from Downtown and the office. The price was affordable allowing me to coming in Sunday and get a good night's rest instead of taking an early morning flight on Monday. The best thing about the hotel was the saltwater pool and it is a newer modern hotel. The breakfast was tasty and the hotel has listened to the reviews and had 2 hot items - egg frittata with bell peppers. There was also a freshly individually made egg white scramble by a hotel staff. She was very accommodating I asked for no green onions and another guest after me requested for whole eggs. The hotel offered a full breakfast but there was no oatmeal. There were 3 choices of eggs - hard boiled, egg with scramble, and egg with frittata. For the price I didn't expect meat and the other yelp reviewers fore warned me. Also oatmeal was missing as a breakfast item. The fancy espresso coffee maker was out of order and they just had it serviced last week but it broke down Sat there was a full house. They should have a back up machine for the size of the hotel. There is no bottle water for SPG Platinum guests in the rooms. The hotel is green and has filtered water. The filter works since I didn't taste the typical Arizona tap water. The hotel had nice extended stay amenities such as dishes and cookware but there was no ice bucket and only one ice machine on the 1st floor. I did not experience the evening cocktail hour. It is M-TH 5-7.

Yelp
I must say, this is just an amazing hotel! This review is just jumping straight into it... no intro, just amazing!! We had got a king suite room for an amazing price and what a beautiful room. It was clean, comfortable and very roomy to me. Everything was very modern and the hotel itself smelled wonderful!! The pool and the gym was very kept up and the staff was very professional as well. They offer complimentary breakfast and a social hour at night during the week. We missed the social hour, but absolutely loved the breakfast! Just a tip, it is completely vegetarian based- they serve no meat. My husband was a little thrown off by that, but that did not impede the quality of our visit at all!! The bed was large and it was an overall quiet hotel! The rooms had wonderful blinds to allow you to sleep in and the bathrooms were quite large and roomy! Everything is about being green in this hotel, which I also appreciated!! Lastly, they have kitchens and full size fridges so you can cook if you'd like as well!! How cool is that? We will definitely be marking this as the hotel to stay at next time we arrive in Chandler.

Yelp
Upon arrival we were greeted by a very nice lady. I wish I had gotten her name but she works the morning shifts during the week and has blonde hair. She was wonderful! Such a sweet personality! Very helpful whenever my friends and I had any questions. We also interacted with Mike. He was another very cool person to interact with. Even told us to be careful when the monsoon aka sand storm was coming and went outside with us to show us being that we weren't familiar with what it was being that it was our first time in Arizona. He also gave us recommendations of things to do because all we had planned during this trip was the concert we went to. The location of the hotel was also very convenient and close to everything. As for the room itself, it was very clean and had everything we needed for the most part. The only thing extra we requested was extra comforters because there was 4 of us and we didnt want to share lol. Will ONLY stay here whenever I decide to visit Arizona again and everyone that came with me also agrees on everything I wrote. The only thing that could use improvement, if anything, is the breakfast selection, however, it's not truly necessary. If you don't like the breakfast, there are MANY good restaurant options very close by.

Yelp
This must be the worst hotel ever!!!!!! The breakfast sucks, there is nothing to eat if you like oatmeal or cereal your in luck that's about all they have. I can't even give this a star. Me and my family came for my little brothers hockey tournament. Our whole team stayed here too all they did was yell at us the whole time to be quite upstairs!! They threatened to call the authorities multiple times. You have to use your library voice in this hotel. Part of the problem is that the walls are so thin. I hear a person showering upstairs. Plus the staff is terrible and are liars. I'd give the staff 1 star. Please take my word for it and do not come here. I'm trying to save you money. You'll thank me later.

Yelp
Wow! How great is this place! Tucked away next to the mall... Easy walk to restaurants, movie theatre, ect... The rooms are modern And spacious even with the sofa bed out. Love the kitchenette made things so convenient. The guest services were so thoughtful and accommodating. The pool is great (was that a saltwater pool?!?! ) Breakfast was ok, not as large a selection as other places we have been but still good. I love that they lean in a helthier, greener direction. we loved it here and can't wait to return on another little staycation.

Yelp
-5 stars is the accurate rating for this absolute horrendous establishment called Element Chandler Fashion Center Hotel. This place does not even earn a 1-star rating. After a 12-hour car drive, all anyone would want is a friendly and inviting smile at check in and courteous customer service upon arrival. NOPE, this is exactly what I DID NOT RECEIVE! The impolite and ill-mannered employee was 'Mike' or 'Mark' (who implied was the manager on duty) had an audacious and unpleasant attitude when asking for my reservation. Due to restricted circumstances, I had to stay at the hotel knowingly that pets were welcomed. Calmly I asked him if the room was unoccupied for at least 24 hours and that it was cleaned to where fur from other pet guests was cleaned, and his response was abrupt and basically stated I can stay elsewhere since the hotel accepts pets. As a guest, we have every right to ask these questions when my health and safety is important during COVID!! His tactless response was unacceptable to any guest asking questions about their stay. All I wanted was some assurance from the hotel that my allergies would not kill me since I am allergic to pet fur and any hospitality establishment should reassure their guests that hotel rooms are beyond clean and at excellent standards. This rude employee should be fired for his customer service. If it wasn't past 7 pm in the evening and I wasn't exhausted from the long drive, I would have cancelled my reservation and thrown it in his face and went elsewhere! After this disgusting experience, I went up to my room to find it not up to the standard of a 3.5-star hotel. The kitchenette counter area was still dirty with stains of the old food. I had Clorox wipes on hand to clean it up before placing anything on it. The bathroom was not clean! I had to clean the toilet because there was HAIR on the seat. If I did not have my Clorox wipes and spray to clean this room, I probably would have left because that is how disgusting this room was. The bathroom floor where the door opens was also dirty but I just placed their towels all over the floor. I did not take my shoes off because if the surface of the hotel room is dirty, lord only knows if the carpet was clean. I brought my own pillowcases and blanket (thank god) and placed it on the bed since this is how dirty the environment was to me. I had requested to speak to another manager due to the non-cleanliness of the room, the discourteous guy who checked me in stated he is the only manager on hand. Great! I had to swallow my anger and head out to enjoy my evening. Upon return, my key was not working. Remind you this is the SAME EVENING after my 12-hour car journey to AZ, I returned to the check-in desk and asked this lady who was there for a new key since the one I had was not working. Expecting a nice smile and gentle kind words that this sort of things happens was exactly what did not happen. Instead, I received a snarl with the snotty attitude that this was a nuisance for her to do. Geezus, the employees here need to find a new industry to work in because HOSPITALITY is not for them! Also, I am a rewards member of this chain and this was the WORST place I have ever stayed at with impertinent employees who have bad attitudes. DO NOT STAY HERE! Disgusting, unpleasant, nasty, discourteous, and obscene is how I will shortly describe Element Chandler Fashion Center Hotel.

Yelp
This place has gone downhill in the last year. Dirty linens and bath, I needed to switch rooms, which the girl at the front was kind enough to do. The guy that was on seemed under the influence of something. Slurred speech and blood shot eyes. I went to check out and he waved me away. "Go go he mimed with his mouth" as he waved his hand. He was on the phone. I called to make sure I was properly checked out. He assured me I was. The food has gone down as well. Packets of oatmeal vs the potted oats. Woman who cooks used same gloves on food as she did to wipe tables. I gave this place a 5 Star in February 2017. Sad to see a new hotel go down the crapper. Don't think I'll be staying here again.

Extremely disappointed some people should not work in a hotel if they are not happy with their job l called a day prior and the same day of my check-in requesting a top floor because l will be here for a month one of the Managers Mike, said was no problem they had plenty get here last night they had not room at top floor had to unpack and pack again moved me to a different room today this evening perhaps because someone needs it to clean the room get to the room this evening after 12 hrs of working and the room is full of hair dust and just dirty they probably just clean the sheets called to ask to come back tomorrow and clean he asked a specific time l said l was not sure he simple give me an attitude saying they need to put a request 24 hrs prior I HAVE NEVER HEARD THAT BEFORE after waiting all-day for to room l still should be just fine with a dirty room again here for a month this is just my first-day experience super cute hotel however not managed by the correct staff !

Yelp
We arrived last night to find bed bugs in our bed in our room on the 2nd floor, we notified the front desk right away who gave us another room in the 4th floor which also had bed bugs. We went back downstairs to advise the lady working the front desk that we wanted a refund and would rather sleep in our car... her response was " I cannot process the refund a manager will do it in the morning and we will notify pest control. Today I called the hotel and was told the manager wouldn't be in until 3:30. I finally ended up calling Orbitz who reached out to the hotel and was able to get the refund processed. Not only did the hotel manager fail to process my refund, they also failed to call me to apologize!!!!! Very unprofessional to say the least. I understand you his property recently reopened due to COVID 19 and I was under the impression they took the appropriate precautions and sanitized and thoroughly cleaned each room, guess not. I would not recommend this hotel due to lack of cleanliness and lack of professionalism. We will be contacting the Health Department first thing in the morning to file a formal complaint.

Yelp
We stayed here over the Thanksgiving holiday while visiting family. Overall the hotel is nice and modern. The complimentary breakfast is good. The rooms are modern and fairly spacious. The people at the front desk were nice and helpful. The location is directly across from the Chandler Mall which has plenty of shopping and decent restaurants. The mall also make Uber readily available if you don't have a car.

Yelp
Staff was kind and they even upgraded my room for me when I checked in! The gym was small but got the job done. Daily breakfast was provided and they even gave us two free self drive car rides with stay but I think this was for a limited time. I would stay here again.

Yelp
I stayed at this hotel over the Thanksgiving Holiday. Service was mediocre at best, after requesting a room with handicapped access for my mother and having to switch rooms. But it gets better.... On the eve of Thanksgiving, a storm occurred and a tree - YES A TREE - blew over and damaged my new car. I immediately contacted the front desk staff who ASSURED me that Marriott would take care of the damage and make it right. Fast forward to 2 months later and I'm told that they are not responsible for damage to the car, as there are signs clearly posted in the parking lot advising that. Vandalism and theft, I can understand. But a TREE??? They are not willing to do anything, telling me to go through my insurance -- which will cost $500.00 deductible. So my stay at this hotel turned very expensive, and Marriott will do nothing for the customer except say "Screw You". They also said they tried contacting me to advise me of this - I was never contacted by the Customer Care Rep. Not even a goodwill gesture for future use - just "too bad, not our problem". BE WARNED ABOUT FALLING TREES!! Marriott says too bad. Review of Element Chandler Fashion Center Reviewed today

Yelp
This is such a great Hotel. I've stayed here a couple of times now. The staff is very friendly. It's a newer Hotel, the rooms are well laid out the bedding it's super comfortable very nice decor throughout. The gym is a very nice bonus, with very nice equipment. The pool is heated, even in this December cold I was able to go for a swim! They have a very nice breakfast in the morning I can't say enough good things about this hotel I must stay if your in the Chandler area.

Yelp
Mostly pleased. Clean, neat. Aloft-like but not as "trendy". Fast check-in. Was upgraded to small suite. Appliances had a noticeable humm. Bathroom was clean and nicely laid out. However, there is a large distance between the edge of the sink and the mirror - so shaving was difficult. Also, women may not find enough light or nearness to the mirror to put on makeup. Layout of bathroom could be bette.r Bed was comfortable. Was mostly quiet, until morning when I could clearly hear next door neighbor through the walls. Wifi worked ok. Staff was pleasant. Would stay here again.

Yelp
JEREMIAH THE GM AT ELEMENTS IS A COMPLETE PIECE IF SHIT. GOOD LUCK TO ANYONE WITH A MEDICAL EMERGENCY TRYING TO CANCEL YOUR RESERVATION. COMPLETE HEARTLESS Jerk. I had a reservation for Sunday at 3pm. I am a loyal Marriott customer! I called Saturday to cancel because I had a medical emergency and my doctor restricted me from flying, attending my workshop and being around other people because of the situation. I spoke to a lady who understood the situation and insured me that she would leave a msg for the supervisor so that I would not be charged due to a medical emergency. I checked my account today (Monday) and realized they put a pending charge for the full price. I called to talk to the receptionist and she said that it looks like they went ahead and charged my card - after being told it would be taken care of! She said she would speak to the AGM to see if they could take care of it since it was a medical emergency, I still haven't heard bAcK and received and email for the cancellation fee. I find this to be absolutely ridiculous since I can't physically be there due to medical emergency and I always stay with Marriott! I want to get a hold of corporate or speak to the GM! This is absolutely ridiculous! 2/4/20 This was the response from Jeremiah the GM after I talked to him and then he emailed me

Yelp
Check in - there is TP and urine in the unflushed toilet! Not a good start. Day 2 - the maid cleaned the room but didnt make my bed? Apart from that the hotel was good, i liked the property overall. Good proximity to the mall - nice area.

Yelp
I have stayed at several different Bonvoy/Marriott hotels and a few other brands of hotels but Element Chandler Fashion Center is by far my absolute favorite. The environment there is so peaceful and the staff are so accommodating and kind. The rooms are super spacious and have all of your basic needs. Their body wash, shampoo and conditioner, and lotion are also pretty prestige. If I could pick the hotel up and move it to any of the destinations I needed it in then I would! I would recommend anyone needing a room in Chandler to choose Element.

Yelp
My new second home! I first came across Element in Denver area and fell in I'm in AZ for a week at a time + this is where I will always stay! Loved having a full kitchen + separate bedroom. Mall next door, Target 2 mins away, Whole Foods 5 mins away...AMAZE! Shout out to Philip for going above + beyond when I left my work laptop cord in my room. Free breakfast + wine hour are a plus too.

Yelp
Really nice for this level of hotel. We loved the plentiful electric car charging and the saltwater pool (though it could have used a skimming). We came in to breakfast at the end and it was pretty picked over, but my guess is it was nicer earlier in the day. The room was clean and spacious. We were only there two nights and didn't make use of the kitchen, but it looked well stocked if you needed to use this place for an extended stay. Great location...walking distance to a large mall, restaurants, and coffee. I'd stay here again.

Yelp
The bar staff at the Element bar are above and beyond. They were great conversationalists and made sure my glass was never empty long. They also taught me a lot about new and tasty drinks and made the drinks with a stylish flair. I would certainly come again.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel with a very modern feel. The gym is more than sufficient for a hotel. And great outdoor salt pool. The staff was kind and helpful. The breakfast was lacking just a little, but that would be my only complaint. We stay again without question.

Yelp
Recently remodeled in 2016! This hotel is simple and beautiful. Nice size lobby and lounge area with ice cold water available for guests. Check-in was easy and quick, employees were very nice. Rooms are clean but a little small but we loved the little kitchenette. Pool is open till 11pm. The breakfast they provide in the morning is great, but we had to wait a little bit for the pancakes to be cooked. They do have a chobani greek yogurt station where you can add your own toppings.

Yelp
Talk about one nice quiet hotel!! The area/price/amenities had me sold, definitely enjoyed my stay for 2days for a Stay-cation. Friendly front staff from Morning till Evening hours and they have an included free hot-breakfast in the mornings week/weekends. I will be coming back for sure, wonder if my dog can come next time.

Yelp
One of the very best experiences my wife and I have ever had at a hotel. It is almost perfect! They have a great gym, a great breakfast bar, a great room with a mini fridge and a microwave, pets are allowed super awesome environment!

Yelp
Stayed here recently and had a great experience. All the staff I met were fantastic and very helpful. Gym is bigger than most. Had a suite which was very clean and spacious including bathroom with roomy shower. Pool area tucked in back with nice outside seating, quiet. Only downside is that breakfast is on sparse side with hot options. Location right across from many restaurants at Fashion center, walkable. Would stay here again for sure.

Yelp
Traveling for pleasure, arriving on Friday 01/15/21 check in was great. After driving all day we inspected room briefly then went and had dinner to return later. About 11:00p.m. daughter pulled back her sheets to go to bed and to our surprise the bed had been slept in and made up. Black hair and dirt in the sheets. I called the front desk immediately and was told no house keeping was available. I could come get sheets and change my own bedding or I could move to another room. After changing rooms about midnight we did not feel very comfortable about their Covid cleaning protocols. I have been calling everyday to speak to general manager Jeremiah Jordon, yet no call back yet. Front desk completely blew me off when I brought it to their attention and had a House Cleaning Manager call my room. Sunday night in the common area a lady was sitting playing UNO with children when her chair collapsed and front desk staff was no where to be found until after multiple people tried to get help. Do yourself a favor and book another location. There are plenty of Hotels in this area. Your health is worth it.

Yelp
This place is awesome but I have the worst customer service experience ever. I have never had an argument with someone at the front desk. I could go on forever on this but both the white ladies I have dealt with need to find another line of work or figure out how to do their job.
