What a fantastic experience! The full Irish breakfast was absolutely delicious (to say the least). Furthermore, the service was great and the manager (or perhaps owner) was very friendly! 10/10 would recommend!

Google
We chose elephant&Castle for our second lunch in Dublin. If you are looking for an Irish meal like me, this restaurant is not good since they don't offer many Irish dishes. We ordered fish and chips and a plate of baby black ribs. Both dishes were pretty big plates. Although the ribs are is in starters but it was as big as a main plate. The ribs were so soft but with too much sauce. I didn't like it because I couldn't have dessert since the ribs were sweet enough, and I barely could notice the taste of the ribs. The fish and chips were good but it wasn't the best kind either. The atmosphere was so noisy and you can barely hear others sitting at your table. So we didn't enjoy sitting there and enjoying our meals.

Large portions. Everything was good. They were very accommodating of our group of 11 ppl. Seated us quickly. The menu had a lot of variety on it.

Google
Met friends here on a Monday night. They made reservations ahead of time as we were a group of 8. My husband ordered the chicken club and it was wonderful!! I never tend to order clubs but there was something about this one, the seasoning was similar to Asian flavors. I offered the burrata which was tasty but very messy. My son had the fish and chips — the tartar sauce was very good!

Google
Lovely food, quite expensive but to be expected in Temple Bar. The staff were lovely and accommodating, really appreciated the constant topping up of water! Nice environment and not too noisy even though it was really busy! I got the steak sandwich and it was gorgeous

Google
The food was amazing. We had the Mexican salad. You could add a meat so we both had the breaded chicken. The flavours in the salad were wonderful. We just had water and no dessert. Would highly recommend. Looking at the food that was being served it all looked so good.

Google
Really friendly staff and the food was excellent. It was a bit loud in the restaurant but I think that’s just something you need to expect when you go. Otherwise it was perfect.

Google
No Guinness on tap. Inside was quaint and cozy. 20 wings for their appetizer?! Wings were just alright, small that they were mostly fried skin. The fish taco's mayo sauce was savory and the batter of the fish was tasty but too much of it. Good service.

Yelp
Why I'd go back: the wings You HAVE to order: The Wings Tony's Tip: THE WINGS! Okay, this review may be premature, as we literally only had the wings...because that's what EVERYONE orders and we were having a filler meal (mid-afternoon) before a big pasta dinner. But the buffalo wings were perfection. Moist, with a spicy, savory classic sauce that hit the palate just right. We powered through a healthy amount of 20 or so in about 15 minutes. Apart from the wings, the menu is actually huge, and from what we saw of others' orders, the portions were generous, the service abundant, and the prices very affordable (our wings were less than 20 Euro). A must stop if you're visiting Dublin!

Yelp
We stumbled upon this place after along day of walking. Food and service were wonderful and very fresh food.

Yelp
This was one of the cutest restaurants I found in Dublin. The interior was a cute cross between modern and vintage. The paneled walls made the space feel so cozy! The service was very good, and fast compared to most other places we went to in Dublin. The food was great and very fresh! I got a roasted zucchini sandwich and it was great! Would highly recommend!

Yelp
Superb eatery. Wasn't one I was familiar with and decided to try it on a recommendation. It was quite busy so it was a little tricky getting the order in and there was a slightly longer than desirable wait, but nothing particularly over the top, and besides, the food was well worth the wait. Best chicken wings I've had in a while, great chips and a decent selection of drinks both alcoholic and soft. Great if you are passing and also worth going out of your way for.

Yelp
It looked like a very popular spot so we Stopped by for brunch and it was ok. Inside was spacious with tons of seating. The menu was decent and people were raving about the food there so I was excited to try. I settled for the Irish breakfast which I thought was very mediocre. Nothing very special about it. Price was a little high for the food. Service was ok. We were not very tended to. Kind of given our food and forgotten about.

Yelp
Great service and quickly seated in spite of being in the very trendy Temple Bar area! I have to admit that these are in the top two of best wings I've ever had- and I try them everywhere they're on the menu! It was extremely surprising to find such great buffalo wings in Ireland! They were perfectly cooked- crispy on the outside-juicy & tender inside and the sauce was 10/10. To make this deal even sweeter- 20 wings were under 18€! I was shocked because wings in the US have become incredibly expensive. The mussels and frites were great too!

Yelp
Visited for brunch on a Saturday morning. We got the last table before a long wait which worked out nicely!! Got the cappuccino and eggs florentine which were really good!

Yelp
We stopped in here for dinner with a family of six. We were sited pretty quickly. It took a minute for the server to come over. He was not very friendly and made us feel rushed as we were not 100% ready when he got there. We ordered club sandwich, cauliflower wings, salad and Rueben. The club sandwich was very good but served with tortilla chips, just and odd side. The cauliflower wings were cauliflower in buffalo sauce and breading. They were very good. The Rueben did say that it had dijonaysse. Well in my book that is not a Rueben. There was not very much meat, more than enough sauerkraut and the dijonaysse was too mayo tasting. It also came with tortilla chips as the side. The club would be an okay item to get and there may be other things to order that may be good. The service needs to improve, just be friendly.

Yelp
Crispy but perfectly glazed in the sauce - the chicken wings were amazing. For any chicken wing lovers I would 10/10 recommend making a pit stop here. I love how they were prepared for the chicken wing clean up too!

Janet M.

Yelp
This place is wonderful! We were in Dublin for a week and ate here twice. The wings are delicious and crispy and the Asian ribs were fantastic. My husband had some cocktails that he said were quite good as well. The prices are very reasonable.
google avatar

Yelp
The worst fish and chips ever! Very overpriced, even for the area. Menu said 12.5% service charge added for parties of 6 or more. it was added to my check even though we were only 5. Babyback rib appetizer was tasty though.
google avatar

Yelp
EVERY. Single. Table. Gets the wings. Every table. I swear. Their wings are small, but piled high. People come in here specially for the wings and it does make sense. They were super crispy and dunked in buffalo. The avocado toast with eggs is also super simple and good. We already said we might stop back in for the wings!

Yelp
We were walking the Temple Bar area and the locations that were still serving food were quickly closing or converting to BAR ONLY so we were grateful to get into the Elephant & Castle. While we did decide to stay, they informed us right away that they had run out of all the burgers except for the fried chicken sandwich. My wife and youngest son decided they would share the wings and the "dirty fries". Both were delicious and popular with the whole group. I had the risotto of the day, which was roasted peppers. It too was very good. My oldest had the Cesar salad which he enjoyed. My daughter was caught off guard with her sliced chicken sandwich. It was labeled having curry mayonnaise but she was surprised how strong the curry flavor was. I tasted it and liked it but she was right, it was NOT a hint but very very potent. Still we all enjoyed our dinner and the boys had their Peroni's. I thought their homemade Gingerale was OK. More like a ginger lemonade than a sparkling drink.

John B.

Yelp
Great atmosphere in Temple Bar area. Good menu, great food & service with a very friendly wait staff. Great value

Yelp
Irish Salmon. Can't go wrong especially with fish from here. Pan seared perfectly and portion was very generous. I could not finish it. Although I thought salmon with mash seemed strange, they did kind of go together. Was a tad bit too salty for me though. Service was good and the location at Temple Bar is superb. Great buzz and energy

Yelp
This might have been the best Irish Breakfast I have ever had! It was so good we came back the next night for dinner and the Wings and Fish and Chips were just as good. I will say the overall the staff was what really shined. As amazing as the food was what we really remember is how friendly and funny all while super attentive. Don't skip this place!

Yelp
Elephant and Castle is a wonderful place to stop by for some beers and tasty food! The main reason I love to personally visit Elephant and Castle is for the wings. The chicken wings are very crispy and delicious for sharing. The seafood with linguine was lovely with shrimp, mussels, and scallops. I added Parmesan cheese and felt that this really made it. I also added a lot of black pepper. With that said, I like how it's served so each person can make it their own. I have not had the opportunity to try the salads here but while walking to the restroom, I noticed someone eating a salad and this is one of the few places outside my own home that I would order a salad as my main. The bathrooms are private and clean. Very cold Heineken and Peroni on tap!

Yelp
This was open pretty late. Got the open face salmon special and it didn't disappoint. Good smoked salmon on a soft brown bread with light sauce and slices of avocado. The salad was a bit too onion-y for me but went well with the fish. Loved those caper berries. I also got the homemade ginger ale - it was decent. Glad we stopped in.

Yelp
Great ambiance and wonderful service! We were seated promptly even though we didn't have a reservation. The inside is so romantic and modern, I wasn't expecting that vibe! The food arrived hot and was very yummy! We had glass rice noodle, a vegan curry and dumplings!

Liam C.

Yelp
The restaurant was clean and nice and the servers were polite. However, my food was cold when it arrived.

Yelp
We popped in here for dinner while wandering around. We got the wings and a salad. They give you a ton of wings, which is awesome, but they were pretty small, but delicious. The service was great, we got a table right away despite appearing quite busy with people waiting outside. I especially enjoyed the climbing monsters plant on one of the walls. Good spot.

Jordan O.

Yelp
The food was mediocre, low portion sizes and expensive prices for standard pub food. Brownie was burnt, asked for a replacement, also tasted burnt + raw. As if the Brownie was cooked too quickly and the bottom was burnt but the top raw. I haven't left a bad review before but three quarters of our 90euro meal was disappointing.

Yelp
Amazing spot in Dublin. FANTASTIC food! Highly recommend the spicy chicken wings, the grilled veggie sandwich, and the tuna sandwich. Staff is very kind and restaurant is clean. Popular place- so make a reservation. A must visit!

Yelp
My wife and I stopped in on the recommendation of a store clerk we met. We loved this place! It was just what we were looking for. The chicken wings are incredible and a great value for the money!!!

Yelp
4 stars for a cute and cozy American style restaurant. Particularly menu items that would appear in New York City's restaurants. Well, I think the first eElephant and Castle opened in Manhattan and then the rest of the restaurants of the Lower East Side started copying their menu. The walls are even decorated with pictures of NYC from decades ago. We visited for Sunday brunch. There were a lot of people, but the wait wasn't long. My friend ordered the French toast, which looked gorgeous. I opted for the chicken club sandwich. Yes, it was delicious. Although, I think I should have ordered a burger. I saw my neighbor's burger and that looked scrumptious. Anyways, definitely order a specialty cocktail. I can't remember at all the name of my cocktail. But it was, pink, sweet, and refreshing. Our server was delightful. She was constantly checking up on us but not being overly fussy. Definitely a great brunch place!

Yelp
Loved the wings. Canceled my order because the order of wings was so big and good. Chips (fries) best we've had in Dublin. Very good and would go back again.

Yelp
I didn't understand it at first (and neither did my girlfriend who typically doesn't like traditional buffalo wings) but now I do. They have THE BEST WINGS. I can't explain it but their wings are very unique. The buffalo sauce is creamy in a way, without the blue cheese sauce (which is the perfect sauce and I typically don't use it). It's a $15 item on the menu but that's because you get a large basket of wings...I'm talking 30+ little wings that are all perfect. Stop being a skeptic and check it out for yourself! (I didn't have anything else but my gf said the fries were good)
google avatar

Yelp
Super cute restaurant in the Temple Bar area. We stopped in for breakfast during my quick trip to Dublin last month. I had the avocado toast and my friend had the pancakes. Both were great and the portion sizes were good too. Very fresh and you could tell they use quality ingredients. Even the coffee was great. The server was very attentive and friendly and happily took my request for scrambled eggs on the side (rather than poached on top of the avo toast). I would definitely recommend to anyone, at least for breakfast!

Yelp
Food and service was so good!! Loved the wings, it was a good size portion as well. Would go back again!

Yelp
I came stopped by Elephant & Castle during my visit to Dublin a couple weeks ago. We stopped by this restaurant at the recommendation of a local. The restaurant was bustling with people, so that was a good sign. We ordered a couple different salads, burgers, and wings. All the food was really good. We especially liked the wings. The burgers were good too, but I'm not a fan of well-done burgers, which is how their burgers are served. Service was friendly, but a little on the slow side.

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch because the Boxty house next door was booked up. Cute looking restaurant. Food ended up decent but had a really negative and unpleasant vibe that prompted this review. After we were seated we waited an unusually long line to put in our order. The server seemed curt immediately but nothing too crazy. The last person in our party asked a question about dairy in the dish she wanted. Instead of answering the question, the server said she was going to hold off on putting in the order until she located the allergy menu gave her a chance to peruse it and choose her order. It took her a long time to locate this menu and another long time before she came back. When my aunt asked a question about the item she wanted, the server declined to answer and got the manager, who struck up a defensive tone, when I asked if the kids' order could be put in ahead considering we'd already been waiting for 30 min or so. Rather than try to navigate the menu further, my aunt asked for the salmon without sauce. "Just make it good!" she added with a wink. The manager said it wouldn't be. My aunt said "ok how about a burger then? I'll just take off the bun... I'm easy!" Acknowledging that she wasn't, but trying not to let her dietary restrictions be a huge inconvenience. The manager said "very well I will pick for you," as she walked away. After we had been sitting in the restaurant for over an hour and the table next to us had all been served I walked up to our server to ask how much longer it would be. We had a toddler and an 8 year old who had ordered plain buttered pasta off the kids menu and were getting antsy. Rather than respond she muttered let me get the manager, and walked away. The same person who took my aunts order came over and I asked how much longer it would be, mentioning that the table to next to ours had all been served who had been seated after our full order finally went in, and pointing out we had been waiting an hour already. "Ah but you've only been waiting 25 minutes since the order went in, sir. I cannot accept what you're saying." She said if it ended up being more than half an hour of waiting " something would be done" but that the order was coming out. After another five minutes passed our food came out. My aunt's was last. They chose a chicken bacon sandwich for her, not remotely what she asked for. Possibly a choice based on one of our party's wearing a hijab? Neither our server or the manager checked in with us again, delegating it to other staff. I know "poor customer service" complainers are notoriously lacking in self awareness, but I swear we used smiles and gentle tones as we tried to communicate about our order and were met with extreme brusqueness. For what it's worth my veggie sandwich was good and my daughter loved the buttered rigatoni.

Yelp
The food here was so good we went back. We had lunch first and then went back for breakfast. A true winner!
google avatar

Leticia P.

Yelp
dont buy the fish and chips but the wings yall, seriously get the wings, 22 wings for $16.95 you wont find wings that well priced anywhere in the states, and there absolutely delicious, it says spicy but its very mild, we loved there spicy margarita to pair with those wings and truffle fries and there amazing customer service was seriously the best, come and eat those wings so so delicious!!
google avatar

Emily C.

Yelp
It's not easy to find a spot with mimosas for breakfast, let alone breakfast cocktails. But this cute little restaurant offers those which makes this brunch girl happy! A great spot for a nice breakfast, you can grab the traditional Irish fair and more here. I opted for the two eggs any style which is a great deal, I opted for taking off the beans. I'm a sucker for breakfast potatoes and loved these crispy ones. My American self just can't get into eating the beans for breakfast. My husband got the pancakes which were so sweet and fluffy I had to steal a bite. The servers here were attentive, friendly, and wonderful.
google avatar

Shane D.

Yelp
Another decent stop if you are interested in wings. As with many of the places in Ireland they served small sized wings in a bowl. I thought the price was a little high at about 12 Euros but quantity of wings makes up for that. I am a fairly big guy and I could not even finish them all. Great to order and share. They only have one wing flavor and it is decent. My only complaint was it had zero kick. It makes sense to have a sauce not so spicy since they only have one. I likely would stop back but tend to lean towards a spicer wing. Wings, 2 sodas was 20 Euros.
google avatar

Nakita H.

Yelp
Multiple locals told me to go here for the wings, so that's what I did. They didn't have Guinness or anything on draft so we opted for the red ale I think? -seafood chowder: this was okay I had better at other places so not the best -wings: really food and they come with so many! I didn't count but it seems like 20 wings. We definitely could have shared after the heavy soup. Wasn't as spicy as I would like but still good flavor and their blue cheese dressing was really good, and not too sharp. -chips (fries) were okay, they were crispy but just kind of bland I didn't get dessert but some of the descriptions were funny. Would recommend the wings here.

Yelp
Food: 3.0/5.0 Service: 3.0/5.0 Value: 3.0/5.0 Decor: 3.0/5.0 Overall: 3.0/5.0 This is pub food and you really need to be in the mood for some chicken wings for this place to make sense.
google avatar

Rick R.

Yelp
There are only two words to know here: Chicken Wings! These wings were delicious. Not too spicy. The blue cheese dressing was excellent with just the right about of chunks and the right consistency. It was a nice touch that they bring a small bowl of water with a lime in it for you to rince your hands. Service was friendly. If you want some good wings, go here!
google avatar

Debra R.

Yelp
Best Buttermilk pancakes ever! They were light and fluffy and had a sprinkling of powdered sugar and a large dollop of maple mascarpone. OMG! My husband had an omelet that was very different. It was also light even though it had sausage, bacon, sharp cheddar cheese, garlic, scallions and tomatoes in it. It came with a light salad with toast that was excellent. The waiter was very nice and the Temple area is so great to walk around. It was convenient for Trinity College which was only a block away. I'll probably dream of those pancakes!
google avatar

Olivia M.

Yelp
I had a very light dinner here with my brother so my review is slightly limited but everything we encountered was amazing! Located in the busy and touristy temple bar area, you can grab a delicious bite that is convenient and wont break the bank. First off for the love of god... get the wings. You won't be disappointed. They were great, the blue cheese dip was a little tangy for my liking but paired nicely with the wings. They are crispy and perfectly flavored. You won't feel bad about indulging in these little fried wings of goodness. No chewy pieces here. The only other dish we had was the side of broccoli and cauliflower in a guyere cheese sauce. It was great but far to rich to enjoy more than a couple bites of this. I think they added to much cream or something. Would have preferred a smaller amount of guyere melted on the top and no cream at all. But if creamy goodness is your jam, you will be all over this dish. Service was amazing, everyone was so polite and I felt very at home at their adorable establishment. Based on the food I did get to try I will definitely return next time I'm in Dublin! Disappointed I didn't make it to brunch (thanks to the 4am pubs), but will check that out when I'm back in a couple weeks!

Yelp
Service - 5 Staff - 5 Cleanliness - 5 Value - 5 Wings - 10 Who knew you had to go to Ireland for some of the best wings in the world... When you walk in, just look around... Almost every table has a bowl of wings to share. When you fist see the chicken wings, they are coved in a Buffalo Sauce that appears to be really hot, but it's not... Its just damn good. I had something else, but I can't remember; however I do remember walking out extremely stiff and saying to my wife, we are going back tomorrow.
google avatar

Tom B.

Yelp
Wing heaven. Try the wings. The atmosphere is fun yet sophisticated. We are visiting Dublin for 2 days and will come back here tomorrow. The hostess / FOH Manager was very polite and attentive. The wait staff, bussers, and food runners, were all very professional and took particular care in their roles.

Yelp
This might sound silly......but this is my absolute FAVORITE restaurant in Dublin. And let me tell you why. My first visit to Dublin was over 10 years ago. And the one thing I remember is how incredible the chicken wings were @ Elephant & Castle. And guess what.....10 years later and the wings are STILL incredible!! Actually everything here is really good. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. Strongly recommend reservations for Dinner. They are open late which is nice but if you don't want to wait pop in and make a reservation in the afternoon. Breakfast: Fluffy Buttermilk Pancakes with Maple Syrup (3) with Fresh Berries, Bacon or Sausage Lunch/Dinner Spicy Chicken Wings in a Basket Omelette' served all day! Soup of the day- if it's Mushroom- order it!
google avatar

Lauren A.

Yelp
Last breakfast in Dublin and we decided to stop in. We were seated quickly, good crowd for an early morning. The staff, while not rude, just didn't seem happy or friendly. I had the yogurt & granola with fruit and the guys opted for eggs with sausage. I must say though, one of the best yogurt and fruit bowls I've had. The presentation was beautiful and the fruit was very fresh. It was a nice dish! The other plates were pretty standard, but the food was hot and the portions were plentiful. I could see where this place would be nice for a dinner with a group, I would like to try something off their dinner menu.
google avatar

John J.

Yelp
A great little place to stop and eat and enjoy the scenery. We stopped here as the first place on our trip. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. We each got drinks and food. Many of us got the "pink Ellie" which is their signature drink. Everyone raved at how good it was. I got the mozzarella, pesto, and tomato burger. It was cooked to a perfect medium and not too greasy. It was stacked high with toppings! It was very tasty and served with a gracious serving of pesto. I think there was too many toppings but it's easy to fix. Over all a great place and worth a try!

Yelp
I usually can't be bothered with places in tourist traps like Temple Bar. I had a little over an hour before I had to be at Trinity and this place looked a little more relaxing than the other places nearby. Glad I went in. Got the roasted garlic burger - it was fantastic. The aoli they serve with the fries was excellent. I didn't even eat the whole thing but it kept me full for hours. The staff were all really pleasant too. Atmosphere was casual - lively but not too noisy. Would definitely go here again.

Aurora C.

Yelp
Delicious fry, the food was high quality. The French toast was to die for, so fluffy and sweet. The waitress allowed me to swap out bacon for beans.

Yelp
I came in here to this tiny breakfast shop and based on reviews thought it would be nice I told the girl with brown bangs Please tea and toast with butter. Then the avocado toast poached. I watched 2 girls next to me on each side get their food before me I got the tea fairly quickly 20 minutes later They ignored me and never brought me my food. People were finishing up as I stood I to walk out and I told the girl "I'm leaving I've been here for a half hour, and couldn't even get toast." She looked shocked and said "moons brought you your food" No Felicia!!!! #byeFelicia Don't blame it on the others You took my order, home girl! And the rest of the staff looked me in the eye and saw I had no food. I was alothough brought an omelette who belonged to the chick next to me. Whatever Now I'm in a bad mood.

Yelp
I really wanted to love this place but the food was subpar. The eggs were nearly undercooked and like much Irish food, everything was very salty. Only order the orange juice if you like it tart because it's fresh squeezed. The sweet items on the menu were very good though! I recommend the mocha, it was a prefect blend between sweet and bitter. The service was good, we had a sweet waitress who was very attentive to our needs.
