After eating a super heavy tapas lunch, we wanted something close to home and not fried for dinner on our last night in Barca. Enter ECM. Since it was in our hotel (Casa Bonay) we figured it was a safe choice. Make sure you check the hours, bc the place is barely open, but if it is, come here! (yes, you can have ONE non-tapas meal while visiting Barca). We ordered the pork and Chinese cabbage Chinese dumplings (with chili oil), Iberico pork "secreto" (grilled and served with chile ancho sauce), Dan Dan Noodles and slow cooked lamb neck paneng curry (spelling is all from their menu). Really surprised with how good everything was. The chili oil in the dumplings was fiery but not overpowering and the 'secret' of the pork is that it's a thick cut and served almost spare-rib style (oh boy was it good). Best dish of the bunch was that rich and dark panang curry. Wowsa. Tender lamb in that sauce with just a touch of heat, we probably could've eaten another order of that easily. Skip the Dan Dan. Overall, the service was good, the place is stylin', bill was under 30euro each and we all left happy and full. No reason not to enjoy a nice meal here (if it's open).
