3.5/5
They had very unique flavors, and we decided to visit this place after being recommended by a friend, saying that it was better than Earnest. And Earnest is our favourite.
Compared to some of the other ice cream places, it's quite unfortunate that they don't allow sampling, so we ended up getting a flight, which was basically 4 flavors for $15.
Overall, we found the ice cream not as creamy as Earnest in both texture and taste.
Strawberry Daifuku 2/5
I love how adventurous they are, but this was not that sweet. I love sweets that are not too sweet, as I find a lot of the desserts in Canada to be overly sweet but this was below my standard. As it was vegan, the ice cream was not too creamy, and I didn't really get the mochi part of the ice cream (and there were no redbeans).
We didn't end up even finishing it, which says a lot because we usually try to finish our food.
Mango Coconut Sticky Rice 3.75/5
We both love mango coconut sticky rice, and this was actually quite SPOT ON, and we were very impressed by how accurate it was. Would've been nice if they had more mango sauce (or added mango bits). So people might love it, but we just wanted more creamy-ness.
Cookies N' Cream Monster 3/5
We loved how they used butterfly pea flower petal to make the ice cream blue like a cookie monster but this was not it. Not a lot of cookies, and not a lot of cream for our liking.
HK Milk Tea 4.75/5
The milk tea flavor was GREAT. It had a rich tea flavor and it was hands down the best. Again, we just wished it was more creamy in terms of texture and taste.
Overall, we may come back due to how unique the flavors are, but it was fine. We'll definitely come back if Pandan Kaya Toast since we just missed it!
I can see people liking this place more than Earnest if they don't like the creamy texture and taste.
