i love this little ice cream shop! the Asian-inspired flavours are really unique and yummy. not too sweet, but still packed with rich flavour in each lick 😋 i got mango coconut sticky rice and matcha honeycomb nugget. loved both flavors, especially the crunchy honeycomb chunks in the matcha. small and bright, clean atmosphere! get the mini double scoop for $6.50 if you want to try two flavours but not as much of each!

Google
My absolute favourite icecream place. I keep coming back for more because their flavours just hit the spot that no other place has. As an asian person I feel so seen when they cover so many different flavours of my childhood and I find that theyre never too sweet either. They have definitely impressed me with their creativity and execution :) In peak hours it's so busy but its easy to find places to go out and eat the icecream in the area. Highly recommend the matcha honeycomb! And also getting a mini double is so worth it

Google
One of the better ice cream shops in Vancouver with delicious flavours. I recently tried their Sakura and Vietnamese coffee ice cream and they were very delicious and delectable. The Vietnamese coffee ice cream has always been one of my favourites, similar to that of Earnest Ice cream. Very good and tasty.

Google
Love the flavors here!! Perfect for the not too sweet Asian palette. HK milk tea & Mango coconut sticky rice were my personal favorite. And I really appreciate the “mini double scoops” so that you can try two flavors without having to pay for two FULL scoops (wish more ice cream shops did this). Will definitely be a go to if I’m in the area.

We visited Elephant Creamery for their Ice cream festival specials - the Mango sticky rice sundae - and were not disappoint! It was our first time, so we decided to also try their July rotational. The scoops were not overly sweet, have a decadent consistency, and truly embrace the flavors they represent. 🍫 Aloha Rocky Road: has that richness and slight bitterness of chocolate. Goes extremely well on a cone. 🍋 Lemon Yuzu Butter: the sourness was just right, cutting right through that creaminess. This remind me of a lemon cookie and was really refreshing. My friend initially was not down for the lemon flavor but she was taken by surprise after tasting it. 🥭 Mango Sticky Rice Sundae: Their coconut sauce was not too thick or overpowering. I think it ties the ice cream and sticky rice niceI might comeback for the scoops because it was delicious! This is basically a mango sticky rice with a scoop of ice cream :p We certainly beat the rush because by the time we finished the order, a long line has already form around the corner. Their location on Main St is prime as an affordable desserts options among the many restaurants and pubs. While there are plenty of seating indoor, customers came in group and therefore occupied the space pretty quickly. Given the warm weather, enjoy our ice cream outside is no big deal. The store was pretty clean as far as I remembered, and the atmosphere was pleasant. I especially love the upside down cone ceiling light. The total came at around $27 after tips. In AAPI month, they have Asian flavors like Honey chrysanthemum and egg tart, which I was bummed to discover way later. The flavors they offered are unique and intriguing so I will comeback next month to try out their new rotational. They also sell certain flavors in pints if anyone is interested in take-homes. I also want to express appreciation towards the staffs. It was definitely busy time and everyone was diligently on their feet. I found myself silly being perplexed at the cashier when she asked how many spoons I wanted with the sundae. I thought I misheard it as I assumed we can just asked for the spoons when we get the order. The cashier was extremely patient and friendly repeating the question to me. Welcoming customer service goes a long way, so this definitely is a plus point for me to keep supporting them.

Google
🥭 Mango Sticky Rice – Good, strange, but strangely addictive! The texture was creamy and the flavor grew on me with every bite. 🍰 Lilikoi Cheesecake – Not bad, just very subtle. I expected a bit more tang or richness—it kind of got lost. 🧋 Hong Kong Milk Tea – This was the star. Super bold, smooth, and tasted exactly like the real thing. I’d come back just for this one.

Elephant Garden Creamery is hands down one of the best ice cream spots I’ve ever been to. From the moment you walk in, the vibe is welcoming and cozy, and the staff are always super friendly and knowledgeable. You can tell they genuinely care about the experience and the product they’re serving. What really sets this place apart is their creativity. The flavors are unique, bold, and incredibly well-balanced — not just your standard vanilla and chocolate (though even those are top-tier here). I tried the Roasted Milk Tea and Black Sesame Crunch, and both blew me away. Creamy, rich, not too sweet, and packed with flavor. You can tell the ingredients are high quality and thoughtfully sourced. They’re also generous with their samples and patient when you’re indecisive (guilty!). It's clear they want you to love what you’re getting. And the presentation? Gorgeous. From cups to cones, everything is Instagram-worthy without trying too hard. Elephant Garden Creamery is a local gem, and if you’re an ice cream lover — or even if you’re not — it’s a must-visit. Easily 5 stars across the board for flavor, service, and atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back to try every flavor they offer.

Google
I loveeeeee the selection of flavours here!! Asian inspired and they’re not to sweet. I tried their mango sticky rice one and it’s soo good. Flavour was so on point and I can’t wait to try their other flavours! 🥭

Yelp
First trip back to Vancouver since moving out of country - I had been thinking of this place and the quality deliciousness that is their mango sticky rice ice cream periodically over the last 5 years. There is a place in San Diego that has sticky rice ice cream, and as soon as I tried it I said no..Elephant garden was way better. So coming back after so many years, I'm so glad it did not disappoint. It tastes just as I remember it. Absolutely excellent. The pandan comes through soooooo nicely. My husband also got a scoop of taro which was real delicious taro. Also, the matcha honeycomb nugget - omfg... absolutely ridiculous. SO good. I love sponge toffee and I didn't realize that's what would be the honeycomb nugget. This was a total match made in heaven for me. I love matcha. I looooove sponge toffee. It was so smooth, perfect amount of matcha in my opinion, not bitter but not overly sweet. This was the most favorite scoop of matcha ice cream I've ever had so far in life. Whoever is developing the recipes here has an incredibly good palette and knows exactly what they're doing. Flavors & texture are so on point, not sickly sweet. The quality is fantastic and I am so glad it hasn't changed. I could not recommend more highly.

Yelp
Wish they allowed samples! Got the Homie Apple Pie but unfortunately wasn't a fan :( didn't like the sweet cream base and found the apples too tart for my taste. Service was average, but good vibes as everyone seems to be enjoying their ice cream!

Yelp
I came here for the strawberry daifuku sundae but they were sold out.. so I made do with a Hong Kong milk tea scoop. Ice cream is delicious as always! Perfect treat for a hot day.. or a regular day too! Tea flavour was packed in a smooth, creamy scoop for my soft mouth. Service was too slow though. It boggled my mind a little as most orders were simple scoops of ice cream. It's also REALLY hot in there and it wasn't a particularly warm day. Clean and luckily not crowded that day, but it's a small space.

Yelp
I loved this place when I first tried it. Their Mango Coconut Sticky Rice ice cream blew me away. Really wish I could give them a higher rating again, but this time it was quite disappointing. They had special flavors featured for Asian Heritage Month so we decided to buy a couple of pints to bring home. They were quite expensive too. Each pint was about $12 or maybe even $12.50. We bought Egg Tart ice cream and Honey Chrysanthemum ice cream. The Egg Tart ice cream didn't taste at all like egg tart. It was the biggest disappointment. The Honey Chrysanthemum was better. We could actually taste the Chrysanthemum flavor; however, it was quite faint. Stronger flavor would have been better. I would still go back for their Mango Coconut Sticky Rice ice cream because I am totally in love with that flavor. Don't think we'll ever buy any more pints from this place again though, without first being able to try the flavor and know for sure that we're buying a good ice cream.

Yelp
Been wanting to try this spot for the longest time and so happy I finally did! I highly recommend getting the flight if you want to try a bunch of flavors because it comes with 4 kids scoops here are the staple flavors we tried Matcha honeycomb - strong matcha flavour but we felt the honey comb pieces were a bit too sweet even though they were fun to chew Mango sticky rice - this one was our favourite of all of them and really reminded us of coconutty mango sticky rice! So happy this is a year round flavour For seasonal flavours we tried Jasmine tea cloud with strawberry - which was surprisingly floral and the strawberry added a pop of sweetness. I was surprised as to how strong the tea flavour was Yuzu lemon butter - we didn't detect any butter or lemon and it was heavy on the yuzu flavour. Not complaining though because I love yuzu

Yelp
This was my second time coming to Elephant Garden Creamery, previously I'd tried a flight of some their Asian-inspired flavours (HK Milk Tea, Mango Sticky Rice which I recall really enjoying). This time, I came to try one of their features for the Cherry Blossom Food Festival - the Hanami Cone ($8.00), meant to look like dango . It had all the flavours that caught my eye on their monthly features IG post - Strawberry Elderflower, White Rabbit and Genmaicha Matcha. Out of the three, my favourite was the White Rabbit, it was super creamy and tasted just like White Rabbit. Unfortunately the Strawberry one didn't have much of an elderflower taste but it was still pleasant, the matcha one was solid as well. However the cone was a bit thin compared to other ice cream places. Overall, I recommend this place for their Asian-inspired monthly rotation flavours and ice cream that isn't too sweet!

Yelp
Great kind service. The staff were receptive of questions and even provided recommendations based on your ideal flavor profile :). I came across this on TikTok and HAD to try! I love Vietnamese coffee and had been dying for one, so it was perfect seeing that they had an ice cream flavor. I also quite love panna cotta. I will say the flavor of the panna cotta wasn't what I was expecting and fell flat a bit, but it was still good. I think my fav was the Vietnamese coffee for sure. Not too bitter or strong, perfect aroma and creaminess. Would love to try more flavors next time we're back! There's a good amount of bench seating inside only, which can fill up depending on the weather and how busy it is. Very clean spot.

Yelp
Ice cream and coffee place along Commercial. Finally had a chance to try, after seeing hordes in front in the evenings. Parking is available on the side streets. The inside is new and modern. There isn't too much seating area, so it's best to grab takeout. My other complaint is that the business faces W but there are no blinds in the windows, so one can get quite a bit of sunshine to the face. Staff are friendly. Service with a smile. The ice cream here is definitely tasty and of the hipster feel-good variety. I suspect the owner is Asian, as there are some distinctly Asian ice cream flavours such as HK milk tea, Vietnamese coffee, and mango coconut sticky rice. They do single scoops (cup or cone, no extra charge), double, triple, and even flights of 4. The flavour selection is quite limited, but this is not a problem. They make some seriously good stuff here. I also had their coffee. Pretty decent. Definitely wouldn't mind coming back. Recommended.

Yelp
I tried the mango coconut sticky rice and it's really good. It taste like mango sticky rice, the thailand desert. The coconut complements the mango well. I almost forgot to take a picture because it's really good.
google avatar

Yelp
Got the mini double ($6.50) of the mango coconut sticky rice (still the best flavor) and an August rotational - the raspberry panna cotta. Both flavors were quite nice and a good summer treat!
google avatar

Janet M.

Yelp
Had to line up about 20 min today. Went during hot summer and right after dinner time. Got the kids size double ice cream of LILIKOI CHEESECAKE and COOKIES N CREAM MONSTER. I really like how they have kids size as I don't eat a lot. I love cheesecake but I think their cheesecake flavour is way too tart for my liking. The cookies and cream is really good, and it's blue like Cookie Monster from Sesame Street. I wish they have sample like other ice cream place, it's not fun eating full size of something that you don't like; could have been avoided.
google avatar

Judy J.

Yelp
I've come here a few times. Staff is friendly and service is reasonably quick. They have a few seats/tables and found the setup a good use of space. Ice cream cones in cones, cups or take home pints. Decently priced for the size of scoops and creative flavors. Last time, we had two of their staples. Cookies' N Cream Monster - Not sure what gave it the bluish tinge but reminded me of the Cookie Monster. This is one of my favorites and find it stands out amongst many other "cookies n cream" variations. Delicious chunks of cookies amongst a soft light cream. Perfect for a hot or cold day Matcha Honeycomb Nugget - my date didn't find there was much honeycomb texture or taste but for a matcha, it was a good option. Located on Commercial Drive, walkable and easy to get to via transit.

Yelp
This is my new favourite ice cream place for their unique flavours! I got a mini double ($6.50) of the June seasonal flavours, Jasmine cloud tea with strawberries, and dunkaroo. The jasmine tea flavour is strong with just the right amount of sweetness to balance. There were very few strawberry bits so there was basically no strawberry flavour. A jam would probably help the flavour come out more. The dunkaroo flavour was underwhelming, basically just a vanilla ice cream. When I came previously I had the flight which was phenomenal. Their mango sticky rice flavour is a must try. Most of the non rotational flavours are great! Unfortunately no samples are allowed (which is why the flight is a great option!). The shop is nice and clean. There is minimal seating (4x 2 person tables and 1 long shared table). Parking is residential or street only.

Yelp
My first time here after hearing about so much hype about this place! I had to try it and to be honest, I came here with my friends for my Birthday celebration! I really like the flavours of the Ice cream for sure, as their style and taste buds are made perfectly for the Asian palette. But at the same time, there are some other people who love these flavours too but they were a very good interpretation of the Asian flavours for sure!! Me and my friends literally sat down and shared 2 of the special flights of Ice Cream just to try all their flavours of the night. And we got to compare all the flavours with each other. Sad that they no longer do the taste testing, but I understand as it is a small family based company and when they do they lose all the profits etc. by all means, I am ok with that as they are such a small mom and pop shop anyways. I loved all the flavours in the flight, but what makes me the happiest is their Matcha Honeycomb Nugget. I have been searching for this flavour of Green Tea for a while now, and it has been so long since I have had this type of green tea. It is that Mario Gelato style that I grew up on and it hits me hard with that nostalgia taste. But their other flavours, like the HK Milk tea is simple and delicious too, it is light and not too sweet, which is something I like. Their viet coffee really hits hard just like a viet coffee, and it was the perfect taste from the drink itself to the interpretation into the ice cream itself. They have the seasonal Lemon Yuzu Butter, and it was very fruity and fresh and delicious. I do like it a lot as it gives a nice refreshing taste to your palette. At the end of the night, after our flights with me and my friends, I walked away with a pint of the Durian Ice Cream, which I devoured within a week of getting it. That was some great flavour of durian. I love a good durian flavour ice cream too. That was fantastic. For sure I will be coming back for more of that Matcha Honeycomb Nugget and durian ice cream for sure!!

Yelp
Have been several times to Elephant Garden Creamery to grab scoops and/or pints. Scoops are $6.00 (single) to $13.75 (flight of four). Sadly, they don't allow you to sample any of their flavours. Most recent trip was on a weekend to grab a few pints ($11.50 each when you buy or more). Went with the mango coconut sticky rice (their best flavour), taro (first time trying, not too sweet) and pandan coconut (good but texture was slightly icy).

Yelp
A very unique place with unique ice-cream flavours! I've been here a few times now and have tried different flavours. I have to say, the mango sticky rice is my favourite! Add some condensed milk on top of it and it's a delicious treat. The other flavours are also good such as Vietnamese coffee. They have a set of different flavours that they switch to keep things new, so there's always something new to try. Would recommend!

Yelp
First time trying this place. It was on my list of places to try-- I got the opportunity to after lunch. I tried the seasonal menu item, red velvet raspberry. I was a bit disappointed with the portion size. I feel that for the amount that one pays for a scoop, it was on the side of being sparse. The ice cream was good nonetheless. The service was okay. I didn't like how one of the workers was dragging the step stool. It was rather disruptive and unpleasant. The storefront is clean and modern-- According to my friend, the coffee was pretty good. The price of coffee was reasonable in comparison to the ice cream. In short, I don't think I would go out of my way to get ice cream from here. If I am in the area, with a friend, and in a pinch for some coffee, I might go here for the convenience.

Yelp
It was pretty good! It tasted better if you give it a little mix and get a bit of everything in one bite. The only thing I didn't like was the salty cream foam. Maybe don't take a spoonful of that but if you mix everything you probably don't taste it as much. It probably acted as a nice balance between all the sweet things in the dish! Another thing I'm curious about is the little oatmeal looking things haha, I'm not sure what those are and they're also kinda crunchy and hard. Not sure if that really added any significant element to the dish apart from visual. Bonus: it's also vegan! This special sundae was part of the Noms Magazine summer ice cream festival. This combo is unfortunately not available anymore but that's because they are coming out with a new item! Be sure to grab an ice cream festival/ summer sips festival passport and collect your stamps at participating vendors for a chance to win prizes The shop itself is quite small and has minimal seating. Coming here on a busy day would not be ideal. It is really cute however! There's a lot of plants and small detailing such as elephants on the counter and ice cream cone lights along the wall! The interior also has wooden slat bench seating which was super cute

Yelp
Outstanding ultra creamy, Asian flavored ice cream. Eater Vancouver does it again! The flavors truly mimic their original Asian counterpart in every respect from lower sweetness levels to capturing the bitter essence of tea or coffee, molasses flavors in brown sugar etc. Complex and sublime. The vegan Mango coconut stucky rice has great texture, controlled coconut sweetness from the sticky rice with minty, herbaceous notes (pandan?) and swirls of floral, sweet sour mango. Outstanding. The Vietnamese coffee, strong coffee flavor with bitter notes offset by creamy sweetness. The HK milk tea, equally complex. Loads of black tea aroma with bitter notes mellowed again by the creamy sweetness. Finally the ginger custard, eggy, creamy with the slight fresh ginger spice heat. Very friendly service. Limited seating. Inexpensive. $5 single / $8 double / four choice tasting $13.75CAD. A welcome departure from the overly sweet creams we eat in the States.

Yelp
First time I tried their ice cream was at the farmers market. It was delicious then and the owners were so nice. I finally got to try their ice cream again at this brick and mortar place on Commercial Drive. I had the Pandan Kaya Toast and it was so good! Very strong pandan flavor and the Kaya Toast was a nice caramel flavour and all on a very fresh waffle cone. I'm so blown away by how much they've improved and it was already so good from the start! I will definitely come back to try their other unique flavours like Strawberry Elderflower.

Yelp
I cannot recommend this ice cream spot enough. I was in Vancouver for only a few days and feel so blessed to have tried this place--I literally have not stopped raving about it to every person I know. Elephant Garden Creamery definitely ranks in my top 5 ice cream places (which is saying something because I have consumed ... a lot of ice cream). We decided to get a flight of 4 flavors. I really appreciated their selection of Asian flavors and loved all the ones we tried. We ordered HK Milk Tea, Mango Coconut Sticky Rice, Earl Grey Cloud Tea + Blueberries, and Passion Pineapple Mojito. All of them were delicious. The HK Milk Tea had a pretty distinct tea flavor and wasn't too sweet. The Mango Coconut Sticky Rice (my personal favorite!) had a good balance of the sticky rice flavors with swirls of mango and coconut. The Earl Grey Cloud Tea + Blueberries was super creamy and had a subtle tea flavor, which was perfectly balanced by the sweetness of the blueberries. Finally, the Passion Pineapple Mojito was refreshing; it was a little icy but still really good. The service was super friendly, and I really liked that the bowls were kept cold so that the ice cream wouldn't melt too quickly. The interior is also very cute; I enjoyed sitting there eating ice cream and catching up with my friend. One main drawback is that they don't allow samples. Otherwise, I loved my experience! I don't know when I will be in Vancouver again, but I hope it will be soon just so I can go back to Elephant Garden Creamery.

Yelp
Very cool selection of Asian-inspired flavours! I tried the two vegan flavours that were on when I visited, Mango Coconut Sticky Rice and Pandan Coconut. I was really impressed by how creamy both flavours were - I wouldn't have been able to tell they were vegan. The ice cream was so smooth it was almost more comparable to gelato than ice cream, amazing. It was also a bit less sweet than average ice cream and left less of a sugary aftertaste in my mouth. I've had pandan ice cream a few times but theirs is the best I've had - I was surprised that it included actual pieces of coconut! The Mango Coconut Sticky Rice was very good too, but the mango sauce was messy, and I couldn't really pick up on any flavour besides mango. I'm glad that you can do a "mini double" here - aka 2 flavours in the same size as the "single" scoop. The single (1 flavour) is $6 and the mini double is $6.5. The scoops are a bit smaller than the average Vancouver scoop size (places like Rain or Shine, Earnest, Uno Gelato...). They don't charge extra for a cone though, so the higher scoop price evens out if you get a cone. I would come again! I'm very curious now about the ice cream toasts that I saw on the menu.
google avatar

Yelp
Egg tart and Matcha honeycomb were the two flavors we got and the egg tart actually had pieces of egg tart in it! This ice cream is on the less sweet side, which is what we prefer. The matcha, however, was very strong in matcha flavor. Overall, we'll be back to try other flavors in the future.

Yelp
3.5/5 They had very unique flavors, and we decided to visit this place after being recommended by a friend, saying that it was better than Earnest. And Earnest is our favourite. Compared to some of the other ice cream places, it's quite unfortunate that they don't allow sampling, so we ended up getting a flight, which was basically 4 flavors for $15. Overall, we found the ice cream not as creamy as Earnest in both texture and taste. Strawberry Daifuku 2/5 I love how adventurous they are, but this was not that sweet. I love sweets that are not too sweet, as I find a lot of the desserts in Canada to be overly sweet but this was below my standard. As it was vegan, the ice cream was not too creamy, and I didn't really get the mochi part of the ice cream (and there were no redbeans). We didn't end up even finishing it, which says a lot because we usually try to finish our food. Mango Coconut Sticky Rice 3.75/5 We both love mango coconut sticky rice, and this was actually quite SPOT ON, and we were very impressed by how accurate it was. Would've been nice if they had more mango sauce (or added mango bits). So people might love it, but we just wanted more creamy-ness. Cookies N' Cream Monster 3/5 We loved how they used butterfly pea flower petal to make the ice cream blue like a cookie monster but this was not it. Not a lot of cookies, and not a lot of cream for our liking. HK Milk Tea 4.75/5 The milk tea flavor was GREAT. It had a rich tea flavor and it was hands down the best. Again, we just wished it was more creamy in terms of texture and taste. Overall, we may come back due to how unique the flavors are, but it was fine. We'll definitely come back if Pandan Kaya Toast since we just missed it! I can see people liking this place more than Earnest if they don't like the creamy texture and taste.

Yelp
After hearing so much hype about this place, I finally got around to giving it a try and it didn't disappoint and lived up to the rave reviews! We had to try the mango coconut sticky rice ice cream and don't let the "vegan labeling" fool you as it has no dairy and made from coconut milk but retains the creaminess of ice cream. And the flavors all match up as if you're eating the fresh fruit itself! We also had the matcha honeycomb nuggets which are basically Honeycomb cereal bits layered into the matcha ice cream along with honey and is truly an ideal match made in heaven. Will definitely need to go back and try their other flavors which they have six staple flavors and four in rotation. There was a steady line in the shop and the servers are fast so you don't have to wait too long to get a scoop of the melt in your mouth flavors. It has four small tables and a communal table in the middle that can seat around 25 people. They also sell flavors by the pint and specials on the weekends that include one we saw in a mason jar filled with boba. Extras include drizzled and toppings plus they've got milkshakes, affagatos, sundaes, and a four sample flight of ice creams. Lastly they do have espresso based drink hot and cold. The shop sits along Commercial Drive dotted with neighborhood eateries and cool shops.

Yelp
The icecream is SO GOOD. I love the asian inspired flavors. My fav are the Pulut Hitam (so delicious I'm surprised to know this one is vegan, it taste like the chinese purple rice dessert), and the vietnamese coffee & HK milk tea. All the flavors we tried are rich and creamy. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Stephanie M.

Yelp
We had the Vietnamese coffee flavoured ice cream. I wish it was stronger in coffee flavour. The condensed milk flavour was very strong. It was also very creamy. I would come back to try their other flavours like the milk tea flavour
google avatar

Yelp
Great ice cream. I recommend getting the flight and getting four scoops to share. My favorite flavor is matcha honeycomb!
google avatar

Yelp
Unique Asian flavours in a small shop. Their specialties are only served Friday-Sunday after 2pm. We arrived too early and therefore didn't get to try them but they looked interesting. Lots of tea and Asian flavours. The ice cream isn't as rich or sweet as other places. They don't offer any samples before buying. Limited street parking.
google avatar

Mei T.

Yelp
You have so many fun Asian flavors. The older relatives even asked for more lol. The mango coconut stick rice was a hit as well as the hk milk tea flavor. I liked the cloud nine one with the strawberry. We got a pint of each to share and there was barely enough. Yummmm!!!!! Liked you had a description of the flavor on the back. Will be back!!!

Blessie V.

Yelp
Yeah, I'm a fan! My cousin suggested we try this spot near her place, and being a major fan of ice cream, I enthusiastically agreed. Street parking in the adjacent area was decent, and I was delighted to see the selection of flavors as I walked in. It was predominantly Asian fusion flavors, which I absolutely loved. I decided to get a mini double ($6.50) of matcha honeycomb nugget and mango coconut sticky rice. The matcha was both fragrant and sweet, would've preferred it to be a teeny bit creamier though. Loved the honeycomb bits to give a bit of crunch. As for the mango coconut sticky rice, it was lovely for the most part. Would've liked a tiny bit more chewy sticky rice for textural contrast. I'd def visit if I was in the area again!

Yelp
Tried this place after much hype online and it definitely felt like it left more to be desired. Had a scoop of the Mango Coconut Sticky Rice and the Matcha Honeycomb Nugget and both felt super underwhelming for the price, size of the scoop, and flavour. $6 for a single scoop that was the size of a tiny baby fist compared to Earnest which has a waay larger scoop at $5.25. Granted the flavours are fun and unique for icecream, but they're kind of flavours you can find everywhere in Vancouver nowadays and the Mango was good at first bite but left a sickly coating in my throat afterwards. The Matcha was okay, but nothing special compared to other icecream shops. Service was fine, but there was a 20-25 minute wait on a Sunday at 1PM and you're waiting outside. No sampling either, but I guess that makes sense if the wait times are long. 2/5

Yelp
My favourite ice cream joint in the city! Despite the impressive choices in Vancouver, Elephant Garden Creamery holds a soft spot in my heart with its Asian flavours - from HK Milk Tea to Vietnamese Coffee to Mango Coconut Sticky Rice. There are also a slew of current and rotational flavours to choose from, such as Jasmine Cloud Tea + Strawberries and Lemon Yuzu Butter.  I've tried their ice cream in a cup and pint (473mL) ($12.50) before, but my go-to is the single scoop with a waffle cone ($6). I absolutely adore their Mango Coconut Sticky Rice flavour - it's creamy and sweet with the coconut and mango syrup drizzled throughout. You don't get the mouthfeel of the sticky rice from the dessert that it pays homage to, but I prefer it this way to maintain the velvety texture of the ice cream. I ordered this recently after eating Thai food nearby and it was the perfect way to cleanse the palate and end the night.

Yelp
Super cute little shop on commercial. We were able to find street parking close by. My partner and I shared the ice cream flight (~$13 for 4 scoops). It's a great way to try different flavours. Passionfruit Pineapple Mojito (vegan) - super fruity and yummy. Flavour is on point. It didn't melt as quickly as the others. Cookies & Cream Monster - liked the cookie chunks. Flavour is lighter than your standard cookies & cream, and a little fruity (?) couldn't exactly put my finger on it! This was the lightest flavour out of all the ones we had. Viet Coffee, HK Milk Tea - both had strong and accurate flavours. These two were my favourite. They also seemed to melt quicker than the rest.

Yelp
Must try ice cream shop! Unique flavours and friendly staff! The interior is also very cute. This is perfect on a hot summer day. This was my first time here and it won't be my last. The matcha had bits of sweet honeycomb and the mango coconut sticky rice had a strong coconut flavour with bits of mango! Loved these two falvours together.

Yelp
Honestly kind of average.. scoops are small and no samples offered. Little seating. The yuzu flavor was delicious, and the matcha was strong, but you'd be better off at Rain or Shine or a different shop. Sorry!

Yelp
came on a friday around 4:00 pm and decided to share a flight of ice cream, love that they offer this, perfect for those that want to try everything and have difficulty deciding... it's a bright open space with a long communal table, and three side tables, there's self serve water and noticed that their counter was spotless... the ice cream flavours are interesting, a lot of asian flavours like mango coconut sticky rice, hk milk tea, vietnamese coffee, lychee and raspberry, lavender london fog, matcha honeycomb nugget, malted milk choco, cookies and cream monster, blackberry crumble, and tiramisu. the flavours were subtle and smooth, not as rich and creamy as some other ice cream joints. we had no issues finding parking around the commercial neighbourhood. i enjoyed my experience at this ice cream parlour, as it wasn't crowded and no long line ups to deal with, bright and spacious.

Yelp
All my friends were recommending me to try Elephant Garden Creamery if I'm into tea flavoured ice cream. Their matcha was the best I've ever had along with the massive honey combs that came with it. Unfortunately they don't let you sample flavours though I'm sure they're just as good. Place got busy quick.

Yelp
Just heard about this place recently and tried it after dinner in the same area. Amazing Asian flavoured ice cream, each created distinctive of its flavor. Love it, will surely be back to get more pints. I bought the Mango Sticky Rice, Vietnamese Coffee and HK Milk Tea and all taste surprisingly like the real thing. Each pint is $12.00 but discounted to $11.00 if you buy 3 pints. Durian is a special flavour and costs $18/pint

Yelp
Overall 7.5/10 Ice cream: Our choice for our 2 scoops $8 is Mango Coconut Sticky Rice (vegan) and Vietnamese Coffee. Both flavors taste like their respective food items. The Mango Coconut Sticky Rice has a very strong coconut grain taste. The Vietnamese Coffee scoop has a light coffee taste but not enough caffeine to replace actual coffee. The 2 scoops melted quickly. They probably have a lower fat content and a higher water content. Overall, these two flavors taste like a healthier option compared to traditional ice cream, which can be seen as a pro and a con. There were 4 people in the store ahead of us at 4:15 pm on Friday. A few more people came in within 10 minutes. It was a hot Friday. Every time someone left, the staff would yell goodbye. It was a very aggressive and loud yell that I did not expect.

Yelp
Great flavours! Inconsistency with the sizing of scoops really soured my experience though. I guess it depends on which server you get but my double scoops were significantly smaller than my friend's double scoops. It did not even fill up the cone. There was more cone than ice cream. It was laughable. NOT worth the price of $10. It was the size of scoops you'd give to a child. Please have your staff be consistent. Read through the reviews. Looks like I'm not the only one who felt the scoop sizes were disappointing.

Yelp
I came here with some family who love this place and it did not disappoint. We happened to beat the rush and I very much enjoyed my monster Cookies and Cream in a waffle cone. We also ordered other flavors in pint size and everyone thoroughly enjoyed everything at home as well.

Yelp
A Cookie Monster cone, I love the soft blue color for this icecream even though it's dyed that color it's cute. The oreo cookie mixed inside the icecream was so soft! Honestly the best ice cream and the love for this flavour which is cute because Cookie Monster is a childhood fave but also I love cookies

Yelp
This establishment has remained my favourite hidden gem through out the years after I stumbled upon it, and it's well-deserving of its popularity. Every friend that I have introduced has greatly enjoyed the ice cream that we get here and it does not disappoint!! The atmosphere is friendly and great to catch up in, although it does get full quickly during busy hours in the afternoon and nighttime. The staff are always friendly and patient with us and keep the seating area clean and in order. Definitely get the flight option when you're in for a visit. It lets you pick 4 scoops/flavours to sample, because I AM SURE YOU CANNOT PICK JUST ONE, for a great affordable price of about $12-14. They also do scoops in cups, cones and pints. I love their rotating menu of unique flavours that can't be found elsewhere and made with such quality and attention to flavour. Each bite is flavorful without being overwhelming and the ice cream has a great texture without being melty. My most recent favourite is honey chrysanthemum and lychee osmanthus, with both being super floral and fresh on the palate. The whole list is on their website and it is EXTENSIVE. Flavors like mango coconut sticky rice and blueberry cheesecake are ridiculously lifelike.

Yelp
Exotic and delicious ice cream flavors. They have a regular flavor menu as well as a rotating flavor menu. I tried the mango sticky rice and malt chocolate. The mango sticky rice was on point and they were able to emulate the sticky rice flavor really well - it was as if I was eating the actual dish. The malt chocolate was also really good.

Yelp
so after our wonderful dinner at loula's, we decided to walk some calories off in order to have room for ice cream (makes total sense ik). minimalist ice-cream place with bright aesthetics. the menu is clear and concise with rotating ice-cream flavours. most of the flavours are unique and nostalgic and they clearly make it in-house as i see the kitchen aid mixer as well as an ice-cream maker with gas tank for freezing (im assuming it was liquid nitrogen but i could be wrong). a and i decided to try the ice-cream flight - 4 flavours of your choice. our choices were: blackberry mulled wine (v - vegan), mont blanc, malted milk choco and mango coconut sticky rice (v). all of the ice-creams were smooth and creamy - the mulled wine is more on the sorbet side. we both LOVED the mulled wine - basically the same as the drink but without the alcohol. we found the mont blanc lacking the chestnut flavour, it was essentially a smoother and more fragrant vanilla to us. malted milk choco was exactly what the name states - malt flavoured ice-cream. the mango coconut sticky rice def hits the spot with the dish's iconic mango and coconut flavours. will look to come back and try other flavours and maybe take a cheeky pint home :)

Yelp
Came here again recently to get their ice cream flight and it was such a great way to try several of their flavours without having to decide. I swear they never have a bad flavour. We ended up getting the cookies and cream monster, mango coconut sticky rice, salted gula melaka, and hojicha cheese tea. Highly recommend and one of the best ice cream places in Vancouver.

Yelp
This place has super unique icecream flavours and let's just say they don't disappoint! * Vietnamese coffee ~ this flavour is so rich and strong in Vietnamese coffee flavour. It's so delicious and perfect contrast of sweet and bitter! 100% must try flavour when coming here. * Durian ~ now this is worth the +.75 because it was so good! I love durian so we all know this was a no brainer and had to be done. WORTH EVERY SINGLE BITE. Perfect cheat day icecream. * 10/10 ~ I love coming here, I prefer getting icecream in the cup as the cone is a bit on the sweeter style for my liking. * 10/10 ~ the price is one of the cheapest in Vancouver with good quality icecream. Kids scoop ($4), single with cone ($6). * 10/10 ~ takeout grab and go style. They have good lines indicating where to stand and good social distancing. Limited people allowed in the shop.
