Elephant House

Beautiful guesthouse! We stayed in 2 different rooms because we booked an extra night. Both rooms were so beautiful and clean. Staff is exceptional! So friendly and accomodating. They do delicious breakfast, lunch, cheese and charcuterie platters and help with dining reservations. A real hidden gem. Just 10min from Addo Elephant Park.

Wow, this place was stunning. Beautiful attention to detail, with a nod to history and traditional African architecture. Lovely garden setting. Lovely breakfast, and nice terraces and public areas to hang out for a drink at the end of a day chasing after elephants. Close to Addo park, but a place you’d want to linger at in itself.

We had the honour and pleasure to spend one night in elegant, beautiful and friendly Elephant House in Addo during our stay in Cape Town for my wife‘s special birthday. It was my Birthday surprise present and it was a full success! Everybody was pleased by the overwhelming hospitality and the dedication of the owners and the staff, the clean and comfortable rooms and the campfire next to our house. The breakfast was great, too.|Dinner was booked for us next door and was delicious, too! Thank you for all and we will be back FOR SURE!!!

Such a beautiful property- this is truly a hidden gem. Filled with antiques, and spacious living areas and rooms transporting you into eras of the past. Staff are so friendly. Attention to detail is evident everywhere. Spotlessly clean. Breakfast is world class. Owners are hands on. Highly recommended!

The Elephant House setting is beautiful with luscious plants and flowers, a tranquil pool and open air verandas and seating areas. Our upstairs room overlooked a lovely green field and had a trellis of gorgeous flowers to greet us. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom well appointed with a nice big shower. The staff was very courteous, polite and helpful. Breakfast was very nice and dinner arranged by the staff at Molo Lolo just down the road was outstanding (we went twice!). Highly recommend elephant house and hope to return!!

lovely, relaxing property with incredible staff just 5 min from Addo Elephant NP main gate. We were so pleasantly surprised by how nice our last-minute booking turned out.

One of my favorites places in SA ! |We were given one of the family cottages, although there was just 2 of us. |I was hungry on arrival and they made a sandwich for me although it was after lunch. They have 3 pools ( small but cute ) |The beds are the comfiest, fluffy pillows ! |Everyone is very warm and chatty. The only thing I would improve on is the fact that they don't top up your coffee/biscuits etc in the room

Excellent stay . The owner Clive is really helpful in arranging transfers/ meals out .|We really loved the in house safari with our guide Emmanuel - he went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic experience at Addo national park and pointed out lots of amazing wildlife - not just elephants . We loved observing the dung beetles rolling their ball of dung and spotting the bat eared foxes . Highly recommend .
