We were supposed to go see Colin Jost last night. But since he decided to bobsled instead, we decided to keep the rest of our plans. We tried Eleven for the first time. For starters, I had the tuna tartare and my wife had the seared scallops with red yam coconut curry, radishes, cucumber, and peanuts. I really liked the tuna tartare. So did my wife. I would have just liked a tad more of the ponzu saice. I could have eaten a triple portion and called it a night. The scallops were surprisingly good. It all came together for a nice balanced app. For mains, we ordered the NY Strip with mash and broccolini and the grilled swordfish with the rock shrimp risotto. Both were excellent. Steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly. I’ve always said the best steaks in town are not found at steakhouses, but at fine dining establishments. The swordfish was seared nicely. The risotto was cooked perfectly and had a nice amount of shrimp. I didn’t taste fennel though. But that didn’t ruin the dish. Jeanne, our waitress, as attentive, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and made dinner enjoyable. Overall, I am going to give Eleven 🐟🥩🐟🥩 1/2 out of 5. — at Eleven.
