In-Depth Review of Eleven Revelstoke Lodge in Canada - AFAR

"Housed in a 1911 brick heritage building in Revelstoke, this 12-room boutique hotel and heli-skiing lodge has been redesigned by a Colorado-based adventure- travel operator to offer a more luxe, high-touch stay for outdoors-focused adults. It operates heli-skiing in winter in partnership with Kingfisher Heli-Skiing (winter packages can reach about $11,436/night for 1–3 guests) and targets couples or friend groups in summer, with rates from roughly $236; family stays are not the primary focus and most rooms have a two-person maximum. Three spacious two-level suites and nine smartly outfitted standard rooms (about 210–290 sq ft) feature midcentury-modern furnishings, colorful wool blankets, very comfortable beds, and well-appointed bathrooms with heated-seat toilets, brass fixtures, walk-in rain showers, and Aveda products; being an in-town property, most rooms don’t have standout mountain views. The seasonal, street-level eatery provides an included hearty breakfast (examples: shrimp toast or multigrain porridge with crème fraîche sorbet) and a dinner menu showcasing starters like gochujang-spiced sablefish wings and trout with fiddleheads, mains such as pork schnitzel and steak frites, and desserts like a honey-scented beeswax sorbet with bee-pollen streusel; cocktails are served at a U-shaped bar or in a snug guests-only lounge. Staff—many of whom are local outdoor enthusiasts—offer experience-planning services (whitewater rafting, guided hikes, canoe trips) for longer summer stays and organize daily ski adventures, meals, and travel planning as part of winter packages. Accessibility is limited: there is an elevator, but only one room (the 276-square-foot Fosthall) has an accessible shower and sufficient bedroom space for a wheelchair. Wellness amenities include a lower-level spa with four treatment rooms, a terrace sauna and small steam room, and a rooftop hot tub overlooking the surrounding mountains." - Carolyn B. Heller

Absolutely beautiful place to stay if you're stopping in Revelstoke. Rooms are clean, and super cute. Lovely sauna and hot tub. The restaurant attached also has some great food! Jack, who assisted us was incredible. He was patient, gentle and helped us with anything we needed. We would highly recommend this spot!

Today was a kind of “throw away day” on our unplanned trip from Kamloops to Banff. Instead, Revelstoke British Columbia and nearby Revelstoke National Park turned out to be a historic town, with a beautiful Eleven hotel, rustic downtown, and the gateway to a gorgeous Canadian National Park 🏞️.||After 38 days on the road from Phoenix, Arizona to Alaska and back in a Nissan Pathfinder… best accommodations yet ! |(Thank you to the Southwest Airlines app and hotel feature for finding us this gem.)

Excellent lodge in the center of Revelstoke! We booked this lodge for a 3 night vacation. From the beginning, the attention to detail and the level of service we received was excellent. We would 100% recommend this lodge for anyone visiting.

The Eleven Resort Lodge is advertised as a ‘luxury’ style lodge in downtown Revelstoke. The newly renovated hotel features modern furnishings, high tech controls, a breakfast and attentive staff. ||Rooms (named after local Mountains) are amazing with modern touches, comfortable beds, luxury pillows, bedding & housecoats. The shower is spectacular as is the large bathrooms with double sinks and a bidet. Nice to have windows that open each with electric power shades (altho you can’t have your windows open and close only one shade, you have to close all or none. This is unfortunate for the Begbie room as the adjacent Credit Union prison lights come on at dark and beam into the room (we chose bright lights in order to have open windows). The TV has multi-options such as Netflix, Prime, etc but the TV stations and Apps didn’t connect for us as it needed updating but we didn’t have the TV brand remote. We also didn’t want to go to the desk at night to have it fixed so we watched a show on our iPad. ||The shared lounge is a huge area with a bar for coffee and water. Enjoy a massive TV, a warm fire, books & vinyl records. The outside patio is also large and comfortable and has a view of Mount Begbie. ||For your relaxation are 2 saunas - 1 wet & 1 dry, a hot tub with views and a cold therapy tub, a fire pit & heaters. There is also a small gym on the basement floor with Peletons, a treadmill and other equipment such as free weights. ||Breakfast included in the hotel restaurant offer a few options - some vegetarian, less so vegan. Altho the welcome card says breakfast starts at 7:00 it is actually 8:00 (there were a few frustrated travellers who wanted to eat and run). Menu includes a smoothie shooter & compressed fruit but not offered. Coffee comes from a barista machine one cup at a time - time consuming for the server. Not efficient as the grinder broke down - time to go to drip. Breakfast was hit and miss, first day okay, second morning not so much (over cooked oiled roesti potatoes, wilted lettuce as accompaniment, odd presentation of meals such as smoked salmon bagel). The sausage is very good, the bacon was different than usual but also tasty. There was nothing really gourmet about the breakfast. ||Staff are friendly, welcoming, professional and accommodating. Most young eager staff who travelled to Revelstoke to enjoy an active lifestyle. A shout out to Sheldon & Jack, they were brilliant. ||The premises are extremely clean, comfortable and inviting. ||A few things not in keeping with a luxury hotel: there is no onsite parking - you need to park on the street around the other street as there is time-limits in parking near the hotel. Although the many creams & lotions (Aesop) are high quality & fragrant, a loofah would be nice after the hot tub & steams. There is no full-length mirror in the room. The rooms have a metal water bottle for you to use and tho the drinking water from the tap is good there is no filtered water on site. Also, having a rug when you get off the elevator is irritating as suitcases with wheels just get stuck and scrunch it up. I adjusted it every time I went to the elevator. ||Big one for us, we were given access to our room & front door via a code. Unfortunately, at 6:15 on the day we were leaving I went out to my car that was parked down the street and when I came back, my code was already cut off and no back up key given. I had to walk to the back of the hotel and yell to my husband (thank goodness for that open window) to let me in the front door. By the time we got up to our room it was also cut off. So no keys, no phone, stranded. Thankfully a staff member started at 7:00am and gave us access again. ||In the summer heat, the outdoors patio and the rooms on the east facing the alley endure the smells from the rotting garbage in the many businesses’ receptacles. We had to come in from the patio because it smelt so bad. This alley is also open to the kitchen, restaurant and patio. ||Hint: when booking, make sure to take note of the pricing (on the Eleven site) we were unknowingly quoted prices in US dollars. When we booked Eleven, we thought we would treat ourselves with a nice hotel stay, only to find out that the cost was actually 30% higher than anticipated and by the time we had our confirmation which was delayed we were charged with a non-cancellable booking of $500 a night ($150 more a night than anticipated), and in our case $300 higher for the 2 nights. $757.12 became $1037.25. 😞 Outrageous, we now have to cut our trip short. ||In summary, if you enjoy an upgraded experience with a brand that provides a 7.5/10 rating in our experience then the Eleven Brand is definitely worth checking out. A bit of a surprise at the end when they had a separate invoice asking if you wanted to pay tips for your stay. Ummm no. We did however leave a nice tip for our breakfast server.

Best hotel experience I’ve ever had. The hotel has so many amenities, I’ve never seen anything like that even in “top brand” hotel chains. Everything is spotless, high quality and the attention to detail is astounding. From the toiletries provided, free drinks and snacks, chill out spaces, free parking. I was blown away. The staff make you feel like home and are warm and friendly (without the annoying sir/ma’am kind of experience you typically get at hotels). 100% recommend and will definitely stay here again when I’m in the area. Lots of restaurants options within walking distance, location is prime.

We spent a night here this last weekend for my 50th birthday and we’re over the top impressed. The customer service from the staff was truly perfection. They made our stay perfect and we will be coming back due to them. We were even able to park our bike inside the games room to ensure its safety. Anyone with dietary restrictions can rest assured they will be beyond accommodating. The rooftop hot tub and sauna were heavenly and the rooms were quiet, cozy and very clean.
