Went here for an early Saturday night dinner right when they opened and we were seated right away. Ambience and service were great, and food was absolutely amazing. The dragon boat seafood platter was chef’s kiss memorable and I’d totally come back for that alone. The cannelloni, butter chicken, and squash ravioli were great too! No dietary restriction at our table but I could hear their menu seemed super accommodating for gluten allergies.

Google
This place is only good if you got trapped in the mountains searching for Rogers Pass and had to spend the winter there and barely made it out alive. Why would any sane person mix mashed potatoes with cabbage? Why would your mixed vegetables ever be a raw carrot and red pepper combo? Why would you offer any Canadian wine on a wine list? I ordered a NY steak medium and they brought it shoe leather well done. The Moroccan soup and shepherd's pie and ambiance is keeping them afloat.

Google
Food was very good. The feta dip and pretzel bread was excellent. The curry chicken was quite well made with high quality ingredients. My partner very much enjoyed the salmon pasta special. Menu itself was developed well. Lovely variety of dishes without being too burdened with options. Service was excellent. Staff were great and their cocktails brought excellent flavour combinations. Only complaint is the atmosphere was less intimate. We were unaware of it being a family friendly establishment, so there were infants seated near by which were disruptive to the experience. Not a huge deal grand scheme of things. Highly recommend

Google
Nice lil spot with a warm ambience. Service was exceptional! Although I was the only customer at this point, my server was exponentially attentive, friendly, and informative. Great 4-course dinner option. Very fresh ingredients and plentiful portions full of flavor. My only gripe is the syrup-based chocolate milk, that should be mentioned by the server when ordering.

Google
Obviously an established finer dining experience restaurant in Golden. I popped in for lunch and had the Early Bird 3 Course Dinner. I think that it was called something like that. It might have been dinner time as i never pay too much attention to the time. 1st Course was Carrot Soup. It was good but it was missing something in my opinion. It needed a little more zip for my taste buds. 2nd Course was Fusilli Pasta which is almost the same as Rotini. It was very good and very filling. 3rd Course was 2 quaint tarts for desert. I can't remember what they were called but they were quite delicious. Not too sweet. Definitely a must try if you are wanting more of an upscale restaurant. This place is in an old house and the atmosphere is perfect for their menu. A nice assortment of wine to go with your meal. Definitely hit this place up when you are staying in Golden. I sure will he back next time in town.

Google
We had dinner here at the tail end of a ski trip. The dining area was cosy and food was excellent (we had the daily pasta chef’s special and the butternut squash ravioli). There was a good selection of Canadian wines, and dessert was excellent as well. Would love to return!

Google
This is the perfect spot to have a lovely meal. I was definitely under-dressed. Reservations are recommended. If it's summer, ask to sit outside. We had the Duck Shepherds Pie and Mennonite Sausage and mash. They also have a nice kids menu. Our daughter had the pizza. If you get there between 5-6, you can take advantage of the early bird specials. Highly recommend this restaurant if you're in Golden.

Google
Wow wow wow!!! My husband and I stopped here for dinner on our way home to Alberta. What an amazing experience. The ladies were so accommodating and made room for us inside even though they were really busy. Food was to die for, loved the queso dip, squash ravioli and the dessert too. Amazing drink menus. So so so happy we tried this place. Wish we lived closer so we could come again. Thanks guys!

Yelp
Having a hard time choosing what to get on a menu is always a great start. I flipped a coin and went with the curry which first caught my eye. It was exceptional. I was ready to go back before I left. The bartender was great (I sat at the bar) and the music was great!

Yelp
Tried to get dinner here with my 3 year old toddler . We were famished after a long day in the mountains and guess it showed. Front desk asked if we had a reservation. My husband had seen lots of free slots on Yelp booking when we looked it up, so we made the mistake of not reserving. When I said no, instead of giving a wait time, the service was so dismissive! They didn't even have to check if they could squeeze us in, given we had a kid in tow.. she just said they were full for the day and a passive aggressive good day ! It's not the dark ages anymore, paying customers can me met with politeness, even if it's a no.

Yelp
It's many a mile I've traveled . A million miles or more. A restaurant as good as this I've never been before. Atmosphere is topnotch. Menu is varied and all tasty. A three course early diner special is a great and reasonable choice. My group of four enjoyed a feta, garlic, cream cheese dip shareable that was fabulous. We all chose the early dinner special. The carrot soup, dumplings, and chicken curry were fantastic. Jo, our server, was a real delight. Knowledgable of the menu and the wine list. We had a bottle of Church & State Cabernet from BC. Considering BC is not known for Cabernet grapes, it was a nice selection. By far, the best dining experience in Golden.

Yelp
Came here on a weekday with 4 total people. Was decently busy but they had spots outside. Was a little warm and buggy but there wasn't anything we could do about that. The food was pretty good. I got the cannelloni while some other members of my group got the mountain dinner. I think that the cannelloni was better than everything that all of the other members of the party got. It was pretty good and decently flavored.

Yelp
The service and food were excellent! Our waitress was patient with our large group and explained the menu and food to us very well. The food was the best our group of 10 has had on our 3 day visit to Golden. I would highly recommend this place to everyone.
google avatar

Nina G.

Yelp
This is hands down the best restaurant in Golden. The food was excellent and Marcie was attentive and spot on with all her suggestions. Loved her personality! Get Ben's peach brown sugar cheesecake, it is the best I've ever had!!

Yelp
Our favorite restaurant in Golden during our visit. Good that we made reservations on our first visit since the they were crowded that night and ate the following night. Choose to seat outdoor and enjoy the crisp clean air. The menu is extensive both drinks and food. Clean restaurant both inside and outside. Service is very helpful. I had the house special for the night- I can't recall the exact name but the pasta was delicious. They gave us fresh bread to start with butter. My son demolished his dragon boat aka cioppino and his dessert. Highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Food was excellent. Vary nice patio to sit out and view the mountains. Our waiters was so nice and helpful. But the hostess was rude and snotty she does need to learn how to me a kind human and not be so arrogant
google avatar

Gretel V.

Yelp
Food was good. Inside was interesting as it seemed as if you are looking through the doors and windows of a house. You can also sit outside on a warm day.

Christine C.

Yelp
Amazing food and staff! The DuckDuck stir fry dish was out of this world it pairs well with the Pinot as advised by Marcie our amazing waitress. Definitely put this on your must try restaurants in golden!

Zach R.

Yelp
Great spot in Golden. Awesome mussels and pasta special. Great deal on early 3 course dinner from 5-6pm. Server was awesome, super friendly and great recommendations. Really cool old home with comfortable dining room.

Yelp
It was a busy night when we arrived for dinner at 7 PM so I was glad that we made reservations. Sitting a few minutes at the small bar at the entrance you are able to watch the chefs and kitchen staff plate and roll out the dishes which was impressive in itself. That also gave us a preview of what to expect on the great menu. This is a quality restaurant at very reasonable prices. The food was outstanding! I had a curry dish and my buddy had baked pasta. Both were awesome. Definitely come here if you are considering a visit to Golden. The staff was very friendly as well.

Ella T.

Yelp
Incredible food and amazing prices! Our family of four devoured every bite after a long day of hiking. Don't be fooled when you drive up, the restaurant is inside of what used to be a house, which provides more privacy in several well decorated rooms. The staff was amazing, and gave us recommendations about the surrounding area. If you're in Golden, call ahead and get a table at this hidden gem.

Wei J.

Yelp
We did the 3 course $30 deal. The food was good, the service is fast. We arrived just around 5 without reservation.

Nancy L.

Yelp
The food was delicious and there were definitely some more unique choices. The space was beautiful and calm and the multiple small rooms make the dining space more personal. Service was wonderful.

Yelp
Don't often bother to leave reviews for restaurants, but this one is AMAZING. Great food, great service!

Melissa D.

Yelp
The food was ok. There was nothing special about it and the predominant flavor of the main was salt and dessert was sugar. We started with the Stilton fondue which was delicious and enjoyed a bottle of wine, a Canadian Cassini Bordeaux blend. Both the starter and wine were the only redeeming part of the meal. For our mains we had a NY strip and the house Cannelloni. The Cannelloni was dry and the sauce was under-seasoned. The steak had an overarching salt flavor and the vegetables were undercooked, almost raw. The shining star of the steak dish was the chimichurri, which they almost perfected but needed garlic and the addition of red chili. We ended with dessert to-go with the berry cheesecake and chocolate truffle. The cheesecake literally tasted like raw cream cheese with sugar sauce with sparse berry bites. The truffle was gross, the forward flavor was sugar with an extremely faint cocoa flavor. The food lacked complexity of flavor and was similar to airline food or something you would be served at a professional conference. We booked our reservation several weeks prior to our trip into Golden to celebrate a special occasion. When we booked by phone we included our dogs on the reservation. On the day of our meal we noted that there was another table with a dog right next to them on the grass but we were told we had to tie our dogs approx 20-25 meters away in direct sun. When we asked about our dogs staying next to our table on the grass we were told, no. We pressed and asked what was different about our dogs and were told "it's dog central today". We then bore witness to several staff members complaining amongst themselves, in front of guest tables, how busy it was and how "this is too much today". Our server, although amicable, asked us for our order, but greeted a local and her guests (it was obvious they knew each other) with talking them through specials and recommendations. Being from a tourist town, we know your locals carry you through shoulder season but don't make it so obvious you must endure tourists and have double standards.

Yelp
Yep!! Great place, start with Margaritas at Reposados and then have a nice bite at 11-22. A nice casual but awesome alternative is Wolf's Den. But for fine food - 11-22. Nice!!!!

Yelp
Great service and atmosphere and it's tasty too! We stopped here as we were driving to ski at Kicking Horse! We'll stop here again on our next trip!

Thomas G.

Yelp
Three nights in Golden and this was the best restaurant we went to. Intimate, great food and friendly staff. Best martini I had traveling in Canada for two weeks. It's a bit out of main town in converted home. Beautiful.
google avatar

Christina M.

Yelp
This is an excellent place for a sit down dinner in Golden. Medium fancy. Love that there are semi private rooms as this is a converted older home. Lovely art, friendly staff and delicious food and drinks. The 5-6pm three course dinner special is not to be missed! Yummy vegetarian options.
google avatar

Stephanie K.

Yelp
Enjoyed dinner here during a ski trip to Kicking Horse, the food and atmosphere were great! The space is really cozy and welcoming. Everything from appetizers to mains to desserts was great, and the portions were generous.

Ronald U.

Yelp
This is the place to eat tonight. Great staff and good food. Everyone is quite friendly and food well prepared and hot! The dinner rolls are tasty but too small. Do make reservations as there were folks on a Sunday evening turned away because they didn't . We arrived shortly after 5 when they opened and were seated promptly.

Yelp
Great place! Excellent and tasty food and service. My husband had the Kokolada cocktail and it was delicious.
google avatar

Alison G.

Yelp
My husband loved this place. He loves pasta and the menu was right up his alley. He lived the salad too., and it was a generous portion. They were happy to do rice pasta for me. Portobello appetizer was good (not great). They were doing a $22 3 course special from 5-6pm. Upgrade the dessert - the chocolate is awesome!
google avatar

Andy G.

Yelp
This place is absolutely amazing - a real find in the Canadian Rockies Park system as most places are similar over priced burgers and such. The Pork belly and chop are delicious, actual local craft beer options are available, and the pork chop is one of the best seasoned and perfectly cooked chop I've ever had, and the staff is so friendly and kind. Make a reservation though - you'll understand why.
google avatar

Kristi L.

Yelp
This place is unreal! It is situated in a remodelled house, which also allows for some tables to be outside in the yard. They have some amazing artwork by local artists on the wall (I wanted to buy all of it) and the staff are so friendly and wonderful. I was able to snag a last minute reservation on a Friday evening (lucky us) and we got to sit on the cozy couches. The food was absolutely delicious. My partner had the duck shepherds pie and I had the cauliflower pasta with meatballs. The meals were very reasonably priced and the servings were big enough that I got a second meal out of it! My only critique was that it was a little bit too warm. Maybe their air conditioning was broken, but I wouldn't want to dine here on a hot day in July without AC!

Sarah J.

Yelp
Ambiance is nice, friendly and efficient wait staff were experienced. The food however is sub-par. The caesar salad had zero flavour, no garlic at all and just a bit of oil. It was also $16. I ordered the pot stickers (fairly certain they were not home made) 5 of them for $15. My husband ordered the daily pasta and that was quite good. Overall, disappointed in the food quality. Would not go back.

Iren L.

Yelp
We stay for dinner and food was excellent. Staff was very friendly. I recommend to make a reservation because it is full.
google avatar

Kristy K.

Yelp
The staff were super great, the menu had tons of amazing dishes to choose from. They do have alternative pastas for gluten free but to have a gluten and dairy free dinner very limited options. Ended up ordering the quinoa chilli bowl. It wasn't bad and had tons of flavour just wasn't my jam of a dish I guess, and was just a bit disappointed. The edamame bean starter with sweet chilli sauce and salt was really great! Also, the sorbet dessert was absolutely delicious! We had so many suggestions to go here. All of the dishes looks so yummy I just wish they didn't have such limited menu for gluten and dairy free.
google avatar

Yelp
Came here after a long day of traveling through the Canadian wilderness. It was the top place in a Golden, so we gave it a go. We started off with their fresh made bread which was soft and chewy, very delicious. Then for my main course I had the ginger Chilli noodle bowl which was wonderful, it was fresh with veggies, plenty of protein (pork, shrimp, tofu, and chicken) with an amazing sauce. Definitely worth a stop When in golden!
google avatar

Olavo L.

Yelp
This is a sophisticated bistro in a small town. If you want to have a nice dinner after a long ski day this is definitely a nice place to go. The restaurant is actually in a house where the tables are in different rooms and each table is unique. The food was really good but the portions are small to moderate so if you are hungry, specially after skiing, make sure you order a starter :-)

Yelp
Must visit if you come to golden. This small Italian restaurant runs by swiss chinese chef is the hidden gem in golden city. Pasta was well cooked with flavor. Fresh ingredient with good smell. I order chicken pasta and my boyfriend had canelloni . It was the best pasta that we have in banff trip . The location is a bit out of golden city. They turned a house to be a cozy restaurant. I suggest to made reservation before you go to make sure you will get seated. Service is great. The girl help to find a table for us , although she told us to wait for 30 minutes. This place is popular among locals and tourist. Parking is available along the street. We definitely come back to this place again. Five star for this restaurant.
google avatar

Paresh R.

Yelp
Too busy on a Saturday night. Said - we are full sorry if you don't have reservations.
google avatar

Len W.

Yelp
The staff was excellent and the food very good. The atmosphere was pleasant. The ruined an ordinary house to make an excellent restaurant. They chicken curry with chickpeas and peas was made with a mild and slightly sweet tomato sauce. The portion was large and very flavorful. Highly recommended. We accidentally came between 5-6 pm and were treated to an appetizer and desert along with the entree. All for $22.

Hanzy B.

Yelp
Take the extra 5 minutes to find when driving though Golden to eat here. Nice patio. Enjoyed our evening. Didn't expect what received. Took some time to go through menu as quite varied. Settled on the pork chop and first bite was...........wow (head tilted back). Like a drop kick to the face of extraordinary. Was 5 minutes off hiway but guarantee best meal in in town if passing through.
google avatar

Yelp
Wow, what a find! Excellent atmosphere - quiet, vibrant, very cozy. Wonderful decor with local art on the walls. The service was efficient and top-notch. Our food was delivered quickly. We had the daily pasta, the daily fish (mahi mahi), the ny steak, and the dragon boat. Everything was delicious and the portion sizes were generous. The mahi mahi was juicy and perfectly-seared. We also had some stout from the local brewery - very tasty indeed. For desert, we had the chocolate mousse - not too sweet and quite delightful. Overall, a phenomenal dining experience at Eleven22, definitely among the best in the Canadian Rockies!
google avatar

Yelp
The restaurant Eleven 22 is located in what used to be a house. Instead of having one open room for seating, you have several separate rooms. It looks very nice from the outside and well taken care of with a somewhat quaint look. From when we arrived to when we left, the service was very friendly. The evening we were there it was busy and maybe that explains why it may have been a little slow getting the food. We noticed that the other tables in our room seemed to also get their food after what seemed like a little longer than usual wait. We started with the Lamb meatball appetizer which was very yummy! Highly recommend it. I had the Pasta with Bistro prawns and this was very tasty. I don't know what bistro prawns are but my interpretation would be probably the very smallest in the prawn family?! That is after I found them. I always thought prawns were larger than shrimp and that is kind of what I expected with this dish. I was very wrong because these bistro prawns were even much smaller than bay shrimp. Much smaller! Like I said, the pasta dish was very tasty but just not what I expected. My wife had the Panko sockeye salmon special and that was very good but maybe a little pricey. It might be expected here though. They had these outstanding delicious rolls. We did ask for another basket but never got them. It looked like the assistant was getting a little harried and maybe forgot. All in all it was a good experience with a few small flaws but I would recommend Eleven 22.

Yelp
We made sure Golden was our stop for the night on a cross-province drive, just to experience this restaurant, and it did not fail to disappoint. This upscale place offers an eclectic mix of food, with a few italian-themed pastas as well as some asian fusion dishes littered about. If you've read my reviews, you know I'm not necessarily the biggest fan of asian fusion, but for what it was this place was decent. We ordered the Dragon Boat to start, which was decent, albeit a bit overpriced. The scallops were succulent, the mussels average sized, the sauce delicious and flavorful. The bread for dipping left a bit to be desired. I ordered the asian-inspired Duck Taco 'Boa' buns for my main. (As a side note, 'Boa', which describes the white steamed buns served with this dish, is probably a mis-spelled iteration of 'Bao' (包) which means 'bun' or 'bread' in Chinese...Chinglish? Or maybe Englese). The pickled vegetables were excellent, and the duck was moist and juicy. The true star of the show, however, was their special: A chorizo mushroom pasta in a dill cream sauce. A strange combination of flavors that might not work together, but somehow do. The cannelloni was pretty good too. Overall, a great little place with good vibes and nice drinks (we enjoyed the yellow bird). Great food for a fair price, would stop here again to dine for sure.

Yelp
Found this place after a long drive to Golden, and it was still open. They had a pretty great menu with a lot of diverse foods. We decided on starting our meals off with the lamb meatballs which came with some pita breads. They had a lot of flavour and a great choice to hold my hunger off until our entrees came. My boyfriend got the ginger chicken rice bowl, while I got the miso noodle bowl. Both were great, and had enough flavour. The service was also good, and they offered to either to split bills or have it in one, so it's great if you're in a large group and you don't want a headache on who pays for what.
google avatar

Jessica S.

Yelp
I do not usually take the time to write reviews, but this place deserved it. This was one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten at (and I have eaten at A LOT of different restaurants), all the food and drinks were deliciously and artfully crafted. The staff was also so friendly and helpful. The Roasted Carrot Alfredo Linguine was the best pasta dish I have ever eaten, you cannot go wrong with ordering that! Also, make sure to grab a seat outside if the weather is nice! Great dining experience, it a very cool town!

Yelp
What an AWESOME spot to stop at on your way through Golden. Definitely a great meal, great food and awesome service. We didn't have a reservation, the place was busy, but they found us a table. Definitely will be back!!!!

Sam P.

Yelp
Great food with an early bird special. My wife ordered a delicious curried vegetarian offering the night we ate there. The broiled pork chop I had was great, too.
google avatar

Yelp
One of the best meals I've had in a long time. Creative ingredients, charming ambulance, budget friendly. Perfect relaxing dinner package.
google avatar

Marsha A.

Yelp
Great decor, inventive menu, and pleasant staff. The blue cheese fondue is decadent and delicious. We also had a fresh salmon special, which would have been divine if the fish wasn't overlooked (surprising for a BC chef), but it was still very tasty. Love what they've done with the space and the artwork. Comfortable, great food, reasonably priced.

Yelp
Nice ambiance, and music. Great location! Appetizer: Edamame with chili sauce (great!) Dinner: 1. Miso noodle soup - Okay, this was literally THREE soups mixed in ONE! I'm not sure if they thought that Asians literally EAT everything because they had almost every ingredient imaginable in there that was Asian-like. I mention three soups in one because it could've been: a. Seafood Soup: Shrimp, Mussels b. Meaty Soup: Chicken, Pork c. Vegetable Soup: Peas, bean sprouts, broccoli, tofu, noodles with some sesame seeds A plus, somehow with all these ingredients in that one bowl, the broth was really yummy. I don't know how it could've tasted that way, I expected it to taste funky because literally there was about 10 ingredients in that soup. I recommend that there should be less ingredients to keep the soup simple.... It was almost confusing to eat because you never know what you will pick up next with your chopsticks hah. It was a big bowl of land, seafood and vegetables mixed together; not what Asians do.... they make each dish separately (whether it is seafood, land meat or vegetables. It almost felt offensive. Had they named it something else or put less items in that soup, I think it would have been easier to "digest". I decided to bump one star up because my friend was talking about how generous this meal was compared to other Asian places you go where they don't give you that much food. In retrospect I must agree. 2. Sausage Wurst - delicious with potatoes, sauerkraut, and the sausages with three diff sauces. I think they also change their specialties and entrees so maybe you won't see the miso noodle soup...but golly it was too much in one bowl!!! Dessert - waitress tried to persuade us by carrying over the dessert and enticing us with it before handing it over the the table across us lol. It was funny though we had asked for our check first haha. We were so full from the food.

Yelp
This restaurant was a delightful find while wandering through Golden! Great variety on the menu, with various Asian and Middle Eastern themes mixed in. Many original choices for vegetarians (NOT just the usual standbys) as well as a good selection of meat and seafood. They also have gluten free options. My last visit included a yummy stuffed portobello mushroom and two types of polenta; my partner raved about the salmon. And wine. We had well-priced wine, way cheaper than the same bottle was at another location in Eastern BC. Staff have been very accommodating on both of my visits. The remodelled house adds to the charm of the food & the staff. Also, air conditioned in the summer, which can be hard to find around here. I will be back!

Cora J.

Yelp
Surprisingly good! It is a very small town but the food is same level as big city. They serve dishes from different countries like Chinese noodle; Morocco veg stew. All are very good. My favorite is seafood dragon bowl - super fresh! I'm from Los Angeles, this is the best restaurant I tried during my 5 day banff trip.

Yelp
Although we didn't have the premier experience, I would still strongly recommend this place. We arrived without a reservation on a Wednesday and they were fully booked. While we were dithering as to what to do next, they found us a table. (Well, it took us a little while to get seated). Interestingly, the restaurant started to empty quite rapidly after 7 PM, nevertheless, we still had quite a wait between courses. Miso soup with peas and mushrooms and corn was excellent, slightly spicy. Caesar salad fine, the mark of a good one was the home-made croutons. The Marsala pasta is well cooked with interesting notes like artichoke. The wild salmon was perfectly cooked. All in all recommended
