Nestled on Diani Beach, this intimate boutique hotel features just 10 uniquely decorated rooms, an inviting garden, and top-notch service that make every stay feel personal.
We stayed at Afrochic for 6 nights following two Safaris and it was a perfect place to chill out and relax after a week of very early mornings. Being a small hotel there is a very personal service and the staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a large choice of food from the menu and the food is cooked fresh each time. The hotel, grounds and pool are all very nice. The beach is nice however being a public beach people are harassed when you step on it from groups of up to 5/6 guys selling things. There is nothing the hotel can do to prevent this but with a security guard the sellers can’t come onto the hotel grounds. Well worth a visit if you like quiet, quality accommodation.

We had initially stayed at a different local resort which had disappointed us as it was our honeymoon. We moved to AfroChic for something of more quality and a bit more romantic - we were not disappointed.
From the moment we arrived to discuss staying there the staff were brilliant. They were helpful, relaxed and gave us their full attention.
The venue itself is charming, well kept with wonderful details. The furniture, the food and the service are all of top quality. Small things like the way they would refresh your room while you were at dinner and the fresh flowers each day.
For a small boutique hotel the food choices are great and every meal was wonderful.
This place goes the extra mile to make your stay special and it really saved the last week of our honeymoon.

This is a real gem. The staff were great. Amazingly friendly people and very helpful. Our rooms were nice and very comfortable. It was really nice to be right on the beach. Cabanas were also nice to sit on at the beach. It was a nice set up to be able to go from the pool to the cabana. Walking on the beach was nice also. We ended up eating all our meals on property and were happy with everything. Vegans were happy as well!

An amazing experience in Diani Beach. Afrochic is a small hotel with only 10 rooms, which means it’s far more intimate and personal than many of the larger hotels. ||We stayed for 5 nights and have to say that this was possibly the best hotel experience we have ever had. Incredible pool and beach with sun beds and cabana’s, the rooms are large and traditional yet also have all of the modern touches you could want, and the staff are extremely attentive and generous. ||We were treated like royalty, and the a’la carte menu was fantastic. Special thanks to Norman and Ali B who went the extra mile to make our honeymoon stay perfect. ||The only negative comment, which I have seen others mention in their reviews, is the prevalence of the ‘Beach Boys’ on Diani beach. They are very persistent and to be honest quite frustrating after a couple of days. It would be great for the hotels along the beach to try to discourage so many of them, we understand they are trying to make a living, however it makes walking along this incredibly beautiful beach a little bit less glamorous. ||Definitely recommend. 5/5.

The best lobster thermidor I’ve ever had. The evening and day time chefs are all amazing. The food here is very good! Staff are super friendly, my favorite is Beatrice. She’s so kind and genuinely care about you. The reason for 3 stars is because of the condition of the room, especially the bathroom. It’s old and dated, makes it seem like not clean. They are closing for renovations starting October 2022 for a year. Hopefully this will address the problem. Common areas and pool are lovely!

This is a little piece of paradise! AfroChic is undoubtedly the greatest hotel that we have and probably will ever stay in. Not only was this a beautiful setting in which to end our honeymoon but the service that we received was impeccable. We were greeted by first name on every occasion, waited on hand and foot every minute of the day and each staff member did so with a great smile on their face. The food was delicious at every meal, where we were able to order from an expansive menu only for the food to be sourced and then cooked upon order - the freshest restaurant meals we have ever enjoyed... and we certainly did enjoy! This isn't a cheap hotel but it is worth every penny - we will be back!!

I came here for a couple of nights alone to relax and it was everything I wanted it to be. The service here really stands out for me, the staff - all of them without exception - were brilliant. So helpful, so kind and really made the effort to make you feel like you were being looked after. The food was fantastic and I really liked that it wasn't a restaurant area that it was served around the garden area, it just made it feel really homely. I really like the boutique feel to it overall. The setting, right on the beach was also really lovely. My only suggestion would be that the tables/chairs around the pool area could be modernised a little. The beds on the beach were fab though. I would return.
