Service is top notch here. Their brunch buffet has a vast selection of items. My husband enjoyed his choices which ranged from eggs Benedict, prime rib, seafood broil, and desserts. My son and I ordered the ceviche as an appetizer. It is not pictured here. The ceviche was bland and the plantains that came with it tasted stale to me. My son ordered the Citrus Jerk striped bass as his entree. The bass was tender and flavorful (he gave me a bite). He also, highly recommends the bass! I ordered a lobster roll with a side of cole slaw. The roll had a generous portion of lobster. However, it was chewy. The cole slaw was delicious and refreshing. I would not recommend the ceviche nor the lobster roll. My son and I shared the apricots & cream for dessert. We both enjoyed it. With that said, we plan to return. I for one will be trying the brunch buffet my husband immensely enjoyed!

Google
The food here was really good. The dollar oysters on Thursday was such an amazing deal, and the oysters were incredibly good. They were so fresh and they left no aftertaste. The beet salad was also really good. Their wings were pretty good. The Cobb salad was solid. The flatbread and quesadilla were also not bad. Our waiter was extremely nice and helpful. They have a huge area. It was a little hard to find, but just remember that it's in the coonamessett inn.

Google
Went for a wedding. Food was really good. Got their steak tips and my boyfriend got cod for dinner-both extremely delicious! Staff was super nice too. The old fashion, unfortunately (even with bulliet bourbon) was not great. I definitely recommend going for the good food and the views. Its a beautiful place by a lake

Google
For a warm, English Tavern atmosphere, fantastic food, and a great wine menu, all served up by a talented kitchen staff and friendly, professional dining room staff.....this is the place to be!! Our favorite for so many reasons. Thank you, Connamessett Inn!! A gem in Falmouth....

Google
Best patio on the upper cape! Phenomenal food and stellar service. Definitely coming back. Highly recommend the turkey club.

Mark M.

Google
Leslie, the bartender is terrific made a great old-fashioned. We will definitely be back.

Ed M.

Google
We go there at least twice a month but will not be going there much anymore as they have raised the price of drinks incredibly high $14.50 for a Captain Morgan and Diet Coke that is ridiculous and they did this on January 1st their slowest season…absurd. It’s unfortunate because we always enjoy the food, bartenders and the weight staff, but will not be paying those ridiculous prices for drinks. They are not even consistent with othe restaurants in the area.

Google
I have a *severe* gluten allergy & traveling with a large tour group to the Cape sometimes made eating out a challenge for me. This place was awesome. The manager hooked me up! She understood my needs & the seriousness of cross-contamination, she placed my order personally, and that Citrus Endive Salad was phenomenal! Super yum! No issues whatsoever. We had a beautiful waitress who checked on me to make sure my salad was okay… Another lovely waitress who offered me sorbet for dessert instead of that incredible lemon cake that everybody else got… It was just such a nice experience. The whole food allergy thing is such a pain for people like me, a total minefield really, but you all made it so easy. Many thanks & love from Texas ❤️

Yelp
We were five hungry travelers with time to kill before catching the ferry for a getaway to Martha's Vineyard last week (5/12/25). Found Eli's Pub while searching for somewhere to have dinner and a cocktail: Eli's Tavern looked perfect so off we went! We arrived about 4:45 so there were no other guests except another couple. We were greeted by our friendly server and settled in to enjoy our early evening. The decor is cozy with warm wood walls and tables. It gave off a relaxing vibe right away. Lucky for us it was $10 burger night. The menu has a large selection of pub fare. Three of us chose the burger special. Two of our friends chose to have a Rachel. The place began filling up while we were enjoying our drinks - a popular place on a Monday night! Everything was delicious. The burgers were big, juicy with a delicious flavor while the turkey on the Rachel's was moist and tasty. All in all an excellent choice for us out-of- towners: great prices, really good food and a relaxing place to spend about 90 minutes while waiting to line up for the ferry.

Yelp
Very pleasant reception, our waitress Amy was wonderful and the food was excellent! Ceasars salad was just right. The Stuffed Squash also. Both our entrees a Chicken dish and Cod with FRESH VEGETABLES right on! And finally the portion sizes were enough to take home plenty! Especially the Super sized Carrot Cake which was one of the best We've had! All for great VALUE!

Katherine L.

Yelp
We had a very enjoyable dinner at Eli's It was Fish & Chips night & the meal was delicious. Fried perfectly & a large piece of flaky white fish. Although we were pretty full we still decided to order the Hugh Carrot cake which was awesome. It was so large we could not finish it. But we would highly recommend ordering it. Service was outstanding as always

Yelp
The hidden gem within a gem! On a busy Friday or Saturday night when all of the restaurants are packed there is just one more place to go and you will get seated! When the "off-season" is here this is still the gem hidden among the gem of the Coonamessett Inn. Fantastic menu, lots of variety, something for everyone and fantastic indoor and outdoor ambience. Being a local here for over 60 years I have seen many restaurants come and go. Eli's Tavern is the premier restaurant to check out in Falmouth. Great for families too!

Yelp
Food was great. The server was ok. Mixed up a couple of manhattans which were delivered straight bourbon on the rocks. No effort to correct that was made. Must have been a tough few days. She had no back up. Nice homey feel to the place. Good parking.

Susan M.

Yelp
Probably one of the best places I have been for a Sunday Brunch Buffet! Fantastic variety of food choices including an omelette and carving station. Server was friendly and attentive. Nice comfortable atmosphere. Definitely recommend and definitely will return!

Yelp
Have come for the brunch on a few occasions. It's small but everything is pretty fresh, nothing has looked like it's sat out too long. But as always w/ buffets, going during a busier time will ensure quick turn over w/ food. Big fresh fruit selection, lox with all the fixins, blintzes, home fries, carving station and made to order omelettes. Usually a chicken or fish dish as well. Dessert table has about 6-8 desserts. Outdoor seating overlooking Jones Pond. Service is attentive and efficient. Price is in the low to mid $30's. Definitely a good place for a parents day or special Sunday. The tavern inside is cozy, I'd really like to sit there for lunch and read a book sometime. All in all a very nice location and atmosphere for the price

Yelp
We ate here last night and we are pleasantly surprised by how great everything was. We ordered parmesan crusted cod, steak Frites, rib dinner, and the turkey dinner. Everything was amazing! The only thing we tried that was just ok was the ribs and our appetizer that was some kind of avocado crab dish. We sat outside which was wonderful. We had a guy server (not sure of his name) and he was struggling all night to keep up, but we saw other servers doing great. So it was just our guy.

Yelp
Stopped in for a Christmas Eve luncheon and the Guinness Beef stew was absolutely delicious. It was snowing outside but warm inside. Service was excellent too. We will be back!

Yelp
we had scheduled a group to come way in advance for a mid week dinner. There were 15 of us. We told the manager that we would want separate checks and he promised to tell the server, It turns out, that he had not. The server was confused as she wrote down the orders all on one sheet of paper, She was smart enough to return in order to straighten out our orders a second time, however, once again she crammed all orders, including drinks on a single sheet of paper. She managed to mix up the orders. 3 drinks were incorrect. 2 were corrected and 1 person just gave up. Then one meal that I heard from the other far end of the table clearly twice was written down incorrectly and the customer received the wrong meal. His wife's meal wasn't even put in. So while the rest of the group ate their meals they had nothing. Once everyone was pretty much done eating I flagged the manager down (the server was no where to be found) and after explaining what happened the server ran out with the meals. Rather than an apology or anything else the manager said "that's great!" and ran off, It was not great, everyone else was done eating. Then it took forever for our bills to come (not sure what was going on), 2 wrong bills were given to the wrong customers which caused more confusion since the wrong customer paid the wrong bill.. Then the server came out and even though no one said anything to her she started saying over and over "this is not my fault" - she had a complete meltdown and I think she was afraid to speak to the manager about the issues. After everything was done I asked another server to get me the manager since all of the guests (all local to the town) were polite but definitely not enjoying the service (later I heard that some of the meals were undercooked). I finally spoke to the manager who said it was a "bad night". He took down my address and said that he would send me gift certificates. Over 2 weeks later I had not received anything and the other guests asked me about it. So I called the main office and they said that it was not their policy to give gift certificates and she got extremely frosty with me, She said that sometimes they have a "bad night" like that made it okay. I tried to explain what happened and she clearly did not care. My take away is that Eli's Tavern does not care - at all.....

Yelp
Lunch with my daughters today went well until I realized my fish was not quite cooked. I asked the waiter to reheat it. He offered me a redo but I didn't want to keep the others. He was so kind and we reached a very comfortable agreement. It was nice to see high standards after all we and they have been through. I have enjoyed this place for years. Still tops.

Jan L.

Yelp
Eli's Tavern is excellent. The restaurant has amazing food. Really like the fish & chips, steak tips, NY strip, pan seared scallops and grilled swordfish. Very nice atmosphere and friendly service. Great restaurant for also ordering online for pickup.

Carol S.

Yelp
Went there with my family including two grandchildren. The waiter was amazing, very attentive and great with my 6 year old grandson and even managed to coax a smile from my 13 year old granddaughter. The food was fantastic. The onion ring appetizer was the best I've ever had. My daughter I had the chicken caprese pasta. Delicious! My husband and son-in-law had the fried fish also delicious. The kids also get a Hoodsie ice cream cup for dessert! Will definitely be back.

David K.

Yelp
Had not been there in many years and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and reasonable prices. I tried the swordfish special and it was delicious and my girlfriend had the cod which looked fresh and served with vegetables and potatoes We liked it so much we went back on Friday for the $15 fish and chips and the haddock was great not too greasy or over fried . Best Caesar salad I ever had. Nice ambiance and live music on weekends

Yelp
Beautiful place, excellent food & drinks , Had a margarita it was excellent, steak tips, potato skins & cheese curds., but way overpriced. I was looking forward to sitting outside but there was an event going on so it was closed. Staff was excellent

Yelp
What an unexpected treat. I was passing through and decided to stop to see the Coonamesset for a potential large gathering. While I was there we decided to eat at the restaurant Eli's. I has arguably the best scallops in a decade. I have eaten all over the country and I love scallops. These were perfectly cooked. The carrot puree it came with was really well made. The charred baby broccoli added a nice bitterness and crunch. The dish had a nice bit if spiciness to compliment the buttery scallops and sweetness from the carrot puree. I can't wait to eat here again. Well done Chef!

Yelp
Sunday buffet is back. Two tables of delicious desserts. They have breakfast/lunch too

Yelp
Really wanted this to be better but sadly we walked away super disappointed. Service was totally fine, especially given how little help there is. It was just the quality of the food that totally bummed us out especially given the price.... My kids' meals appeared to be the microwave kind of Mac n cheese (!); although the fries were awesome! My entree salad was small and oddly messy and lacked substance for an entree salad. Could have been an off night in the kitchen but we wouldn't go back for the food. Sad!

Samantha M.

Yelp
We visited Eli's Tavern last Saturday and sat in a very cozy area of the lounge for dinner. The food was delicious! Our service was as even better. We enjoyed chatting with Sue throughout our evening. She was attentive, helpful and sweet as pie. Jacob made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit and gave us a few good laughs. I have to give their manager, Trevor, a shoutout as well. We felt so welcomed and like we were at home at Eli's. We will be back next time we are in Falmouth. PS. I had the steak frites which was delicious (cooked medium rare as requested) with truffle fries and lemon aioli.

Yelp
Great dinner and loved our waitress Kaija she was wonderful! Cod was outstanding! Thanks!!!

Audrey M.

Yelp
TLDR: food is pretty okay, but very overpriced. DO NOT get the clam chowder, I beg of you. Waitstaff is very nice. Food: Street corn salad was the same price as the Cobb but was about half the size. Neither salad was worth the $18 considering their lack of freshness and inconsistent portion sizes. Most of the inclusions in the salads seemed pre-packaged, which is acceptable for an $8 salad, not an $18 salad. Clam chowder was awful. Wouldn't be surprised if it caused food poisoning. Was clearly days old, maybe even spoiled. Service: Everyone we interacted with was kind and helpful. Saw some negative reviews about service but can't agree here. The interior was actually very nice. Seemed newly updated and clean. Might return here on a half price day, but probably not otherwise.

Nancy B.

Yelp
Management was condescending and rude when we mentioned were unhappy that we paid top dollar for Easter brunch and instead of sitting in the main dining area where the buffet was set up, we were sat in the bar area. The main dining area had a pianist and was prettily decorated and the bar area was cold and dark and had a golf tournament on the TV. We had to walk through 3 rooms to get to the buffet and noticed at least 20 tables empty in the main dining area. No apology or acknowledgment of our disappointment. Never again would I spend $300 for mediocre food and a horrible experience.

Yelp
Kind and accommodating staff serving delicious local food and drink. Very enjoyable experience!

Yelp
I love everything about this hotel restaurant. The entire vibe is relaxed, dark, comfortable. Great martinis. Amazing burgers and fries. We love going on Mondays for half price burgers. The pretzel bites are one of the best things I've ever eaten. Really love it here and wish I knew about it sooner - I've been missing out for many years!

Stephanie W.

Yelp
Just wanted to give out to our server, Kingsley! We were in a great mood to have our son and fiancée visiting us and we were in giddy moods! Kingsley put up with our silly jokes and was awesome. He is the best! Also loved the music and atmosphere! We are locals and absolutely love this place. Great food and service! Thank you for a great nite. BTW, get the broccolini!

Yelp
My 3 friends and I enjoyed a 2 1/2 hr. brunch without ever feeling rushed. Our waitperson, Alyssa, was outstanding. She was friendly, patient, knowledgeable and attentive. Our Bloody Mary's we're delicious and garishly garnished. We ordered Eggs Benedict's and burgers and which were all very good. We all commented that we will be back....soon!

Kara M.

Yelp
Every single time I dine here the food is delicious, the service is on point and the atmosphere is welcoming. This time our server Alyssa was friendly and attentive. The oysters rockefeller were out of this world and our entrees were on point thanks to the amazing kitchen staff! Keeps me coming back time and time again.

Yelp
Had the unpleasant experience of bringing my family to this place for Thanksgiving yesterday. I don't know what happened but they were totally overwhelmed. After sitting for over an hour I had to go find somebody to bring us some water. Had to do the same thing to ask for bread. They kept forgetting to bring us the drinks we ordered. Brought 2 of us Clam Chowder but no spoons. Had to walk around to find waitstaff to get us spoons, of course Chowder was cold by then. Food was average and of course they had run out of the desert we wanted. Since it was a PRIX FIX menu for $55 a person I have never felt so taken in my life. My suggestion is to avoid this place on any Holiday.

Allan P.

Yelp
We ordered takeout to be picked up in 20 minutes. An hour later, after standing there for45 minutes, it was finally finished. Oh, they did offer me a glass of water
google avatar

Richard W.

Yelp
Mimsy and I had dinner at the bar last night. The food, drink, service and atmosphere were very good. This is a cozy place with a classy feel. We had a couple of generous dry martinis, started with a dozen oysters and both had the filet mignon. It was cooked perfectly. The bartender was great company and made the dining experience a very pleasant one.

D M.

Yelp
Perhaps the management wasn't getting my message the first review but I suggest a re-read. My experience with bar service was not good at all.

Jessica S.

Yelp
Ordered 4 salads, 2 Cobb salads, one street corn salad, and one Mediterranean. All salads were pretty good, but definitely not worth the price. The corn salad was small considering it was 15 dollars. The Cobb salads were pretty good and we were given a good amount. But the bacon bits tasted like they came out of a package. Again this wouldn't really be an issue if the salads weren't 20 dollars each. The chicken though was great, along with everything else inside. But the clam chowder is a different story. It was 100 percent spoiled and would make anyone sick that would even try to eat it. It smelled like rotten clams, almost as if it was cooked yesterday. Flavors? Decent. Prices? No way. Clam chowder? Don't trust it.

Thomas W.

Yelp
Kaija was fantastic! And the band tonight was incredible. The have done a great job of making Eli's Tavern a must stop on Thursday.

Joaquin G.

Yelp
Great food and very romantic setting. We sat outside and really enjoyed ourselves. Service was attentive.

Lisa D.

Yelp
had a terrible experience at Eli's Tavern - after waiting two hours - mostly being ignored we had terrible food - Manager finally came at husbands insistence and the hill was cut in half..... waitress was having "personal issues" ..... def do NOT recommend !!! she was responsible for the service but not over cooked or bad food !!!!

Marjorie B.

Yelp
I am not unsympathetic to end of season burnout but the service was absolutely terrible from start to finish.

Kelly D.

Yelp
Took our family here for a birthday celebration. Service was excellent, covid protocols were still in effect. Shrimp taco and pretzel appetizers were great, the fried cod excellent , not too much breading and fresh fries.
google avatar

Nathan W.

Yelp
I love this place. Been a few times. This past time, I'm not sure what happened. Perhaps new kitchen staff? Overwhelmed? I ordered the steak frites, medium. It came extremely well done, no juice to it at all. I was going to just eat it anyways but then the truffle fries, way too much parmesan cheese. It was overpowering. Couldn't even eat the fries. I hope this was a one time occurrence. I'll give it another go, for as I've been going here because my dogs name is Eli!

Robert R.

Yelp
This is getting to be old news the second time I visit Eli's Taven excellent. It was wine and dine nite pick two entrées a big piece of dessert and a bottle of wine for $70 can't beat it. I got again the blackened swordfish which is absolutely phenomenal my wife got The steak tip dinner which was incredible juicy marinated with vegetables can't beat. The desert we got was carrot cake it look like the whole cake. The only thing I regret doing is coming Thursday Saturday or Sunday for the Bands at play outside weather permitting that will be my next thing to do.
google avatar

Greg H.

Yelp
We love the food and ambiance of this place!!!! The live music tops it off and you MUST ask for Linda to serve you. She goes the extra mile with a smile!!!!!! We loved the scallops and Reuben and they have the best Fish & Chips around!!!!

Yelp
I brought my family to Eli's for their grand re-opening of the 2021 season. The place looked nice, clean, and very appealing and spacious ( they book for weddings, rehearsal dinners, etc. so the big rooms are great!) The staff was courteous and happily brought my family to our table which overlooked a beautiful pond. The menu had something for all of us; even the kids got a Hoodise cup with their meal! My husband had the fish and chips and I had a cobb salad with lobster - wow! We even shared some appetizers and cocktails which were highly recommended by the staff we spoke with. The entire menu looked great. This is a cozy place for dinner but we will definitely be back to try the lunch specials.

Timothea S.

Yelp
Was there for Christmas Eve Dinner. Was a set price 3 course meal. Two of us had food allergies. They did an amazing job at accommodating our needs. We had the Lamb, Filet, and the Salmon. It was beyond amazing! Risotto was perfect, meat cooked to perfection and the various sauces were outstanding! It is a do again for us!

SJane R.

Yelp
Birthday Brunch for Our Sister. We knew it was a menu, unaware how Very limited the menu was, and also given the regular lunch menu. Frittata was cool and watery, obviously previously frozen, poor texture and little taste. Eggs Benedict were cool, portions small. Mimosa was good, Sangria was cheap red wine with fruit on the rim. Bill was $75, waitress was friendly but we did wait 35 mins for our meal with only our party in the bar area, and Covid protocols were followed. Not near their pre- Covid Quality. Will not recommend or return.
google avatar

AJ I.

Yelp
Amazing dinner I had with friends yesterday. Group of 12. Everything was absolutely amazing. From cocktails to entrees. I had the swordfish, my gf the scallops. Both very delicious and everyone else seemed to enjoy what they have had as well. I noticed the bad reviews on here and i believe that they are unjustified. Give this place a chance!

Karen I.

Yelp
I was there for brunch with a few girlfriends and both the menu and atmosphere were perfect. We never felt rushed and our waitress (Alyssa) was friendly and informative and answered every question we had about the menu. We ordered from both the brunch and the lunch menu and all enjoyed our choices and the bloody Mary's. We also were appreciative of Alyssa's attention and especially her patience as we caught up and lingered over coffee. This may be our regular brunch meeting place going forward !

Regina J.

Yelp
Outstanding time at Eli's Tavern tonight. Ate at the Bar - Linda the Bartender - amazing service and great source of local knowledge!! Food and drinks fantastic.

Brian R.

Yelp
My wife and I had an enjoyable meal. Service was great and the XMAS decor was beautiful. We enjoyed a great meal while listening to live music. I had the fish and chips while my wife had the chicken sliders. We'd order these again (although the fries are frozen). Small but solid beer selection.

Vanna P.

Yelp
The food here is amazing and our waitress, Alyssa, was sooo sweet and super helpful. We received our food exactly the way we pictured (even better!) and she even helped us through switching our table closer to the music and the process was smooth and easy!! 100% recommend!!!
