My wife and I stayed here 3 years ago and had high hopes that this visit would be equally good. We were not disappointed. This is a truly exceptional hotel. It has a marvellous setting with easy access to the main town. It is spotlessly clean. The bedrooms and the general areas are furnished to a very high standard. The quality of food is outstanding, including breakfast, dinner and the very generous "afternoon snack". All the staff are extremely welcoming and work very hard to ensure you enjoy your stay. For example, the restaurant team is led by a highly skilled and organised Maitre D' who ensures that everything runs smoothly. In addition, the backroom staff, including the cleaners, are equally committed to doing an excellent job. The pool and spa area are well resourced. We both booked massages which I can thoroughly recommend. We have stayed in numerous hotels throughout Austria but this one is a very special place. Many thanks to all the staff for giving us such a great holiday.

The Elizabeth Hotel is a class act. Fabulous public areas and spa facilities; the access to the garden and swimming lake at the Hotel Neuhaus is an added bonus. Our rooms (307 & 308) were well-appointed, complete with spacious balconies and stunning views down the Ziller Valley. The bathroom in 307 (a double room) was particularly spacious. |The food was beautifully cooked and presented - excellent choice at breakfast and five courses for each evening meal. All staff were friendly and clearly keen to ensure great service. Mayrhofen is a great base for a week's exploration of the side valleys and beyond. Don't miss a trip to the Stilluptal!

We stayed at this hotel the previous year & decided to book an upgrade to the more modern wing on our latest visit. So pleased we did as it was excellent.|The room was very large with a huge bathroom. The balcony was absolutely enormous with doors & windows into the lounge & bedroom areas. There was also a large cushioned seat at one end as well as a table & chairs. |The staff were all very friendly & efficient with a special mention to Julianna, Kosmas & Tim who looked after us in the restaurant. |The ladies who made up the rooms were also super efficient with our room always serviced while we were at breakfast !|The food was good - especially breakfast & we loved the salad buffet every evening. We would have liked a choice of cream or clear soups daily but there was only one cream soup all week - personal taste of course. |Mayrhofen is a beautiful resort & we loved our walks along the river & made use of the local train to explore further along the valley. |We’ll certainly return to this lovely Adults Only hotel & won’t hesitate to book another beautiful room in the newer wing.

Fantastic hotel. Staff were warm and friendly. Rooms beautiful. The food was amazing, and waiters really good. The pool and spa facilities excellent. The icing on the cake were the guided walks with Otto, these were brilliant and his knowledge and expertise second to none. Will definitely return.

Overall, this is a very good, high quality hotel with excellent facilities. The older more traditional area of the hotel has a good mix of traditional decor with a modern twist. The rooms on the first floor seemed to be reserved for the tour operator guests (Tui / Ingams etc). Our room was very clean and well equipped. Room 102 had a separate toilet away from the bathroom but with no sink, Handwashing was done in the main bathroom. Lovely deep bath and separate shower. |On our second day the tilt and turn door failed to operate properly and we were only able to open the door, not tilt it. This meant leaving the door open all day which was not an option for us and we knew the weather was warming up. There is no AC in the rooms and ventilation is done by opening a window. We asked to move and our alternative room at the end of the corridor (105) was huge with a large sunny balcony with good bathroom facilities. Room was a bit dark due to wood panelling but the bathroom was very well lit. |Small empty fridge in the room. 2 bottles of water on arrival but tap water there after, which is safe to drink here. No tea and coffee facilities which I think is the norm for Austria. |Lovely comfortable large bed with feather pillows (but you have to pay for the special pillows which seems most bizaar). In room 105, The feathers in the pillows were very scratchy but these were replaced when asked with softer feather pillows. Bath robes and spa slippers. Nice touch. Very clean room. |The spa area was incredible and well thought out. Inside and outside Jacuzi. Inside pool (a little cool for me). Water beds and Sauna, Steam room. Outside sun bathing area. Extra towels were available for the use at the spa. |Food? Think Professional Master Chef with the fish particularly being cooked to perfection. A little fancy and rich, by the end of the week with us craving some simple Austrian food but overall the fact that the meals were served at your table (with exception to the salad) was appreciated. |Breakfast was good. A good choice of cheese and hams. Bircher muesli (delicous), fresh fruit and a chef cooking eggs., sausages and bacon, mushrooms and tomatoes. Choice of jams and good quality bread. Nice self service coffee machine (the one on the left has better tasting coffee in our opinion). |Waiting staff (David was our waiter) were very friendly and approachable, as were the other waiting staff. |What lets this hotel down is some of the staff on reception and one tall blonde, female, in the restaurant area (folds napkins in the morning). No eye contact, grumpy, unapproachable, said good morning but not sure if she meant it. We had a similar experience at reception. With exception to one dark haired female (shoulder length hair) who was always smiling and helpful, all other staff we encountered seemed not to know how to smile, were grumpy and we felt like we were not welcomed. We really are not sure what is going on and why they would want to be that way. |When checking out, no one asked if we had a good holiday and the final straw was on the last morning when we were being picked up by the coach 5 minutes before the breakfast room was open. We arrived 10 minutes early and asked the tall smart man on reception if we could have a quick coffee before leaving, the response was 'no, the restaurant does not open until 7 am. No apology or empathy and no chance of entering into conversation as he quickly shut himself away in the room behind reception. Maybe the owners think the quality of the hotel will be enough to keep customers coming back. Not us.

My second visit but this time with some of the family. I would like to go again next year so why?|Excellent staff, food that is glorious to look at and to taste with adequate choice yet backed by a wide range of healthy salads, cheeses, wide range of on site bread and oils and condiments of every description. Half board even includes a healthy afternoon snack.| Comprehensive swimming, saunas, bubble baths, steam rooms etc.|Comfortable beds.|Good location on the edge of the small town, 5mins walk to the railway station 10 mins and 15 mins to major cable cars.

Location, food pool, spa and standards excellent. We stayed in the older part of the hotel which had no air conditioning in the rooms it got very warm at night. If they supplied something like that I would have gave excellent. Close access to lifts and shops
