Elita may look small from the outside, but it opens up into a surprisingly large and cosy space. Lovely ambience, friendly faces and — most importantly — really good food. We went with the waiter’s recommendation: crabs in a buttery sauce. Brilliant choice. They even give you all the crack-and-cut tools so you’re not wrestling with the shell like a cartoon character. The spicy prawns were excellent too, though I should’ve asked them to clean and serve — that one’s on me. The only miss for us was the fried chicken for the kid. It was literally half a bird, deep-fried straight, and ended up a bit dry and bland. He happily switched to the rice from my prawn dish, so crisis avoided. Prices are on the higher side and portions lean towards “one dish per person,” but the flavour makes it worth it. If you’re in Galle and craving local seafood, this place won’t disappoint.

Lovely seafood restaurant inside Galle Fort! Tried the Garlic Rice with Dry Chilli Calamari and the Yellow Curry with Crab. On point, delicious and full of flavor! Highly recommended.

One of the best places in all of Sri Lanka and Galle. I had the best pan fried fish of my life here. The seafood is super fresh. You can check the fish, crab and prawns before you order. The prices are reasonable for the quality and flavour. Loved it so much that I went twice in 2 days. 10/10 recommended Try the crab with red chilli sauce or yellow curry sauce Prawns and pan fried fish in red chilli is excellent too. Service is great and you can pay with card.

Great spot for seafood. Coconut crab curry was excellent, as were the spicy chilli prawns. Spicy chilli calamari was good and tasty but a bit chewy

Their Chili Crab Sauce is the MUST TRY! Its soo addictive for spicy lovers! The chef was so nice and he even told me the recipe! In one week I went 2 times because the flavor is soo good and the seafood is fresh!

Elita Restaurant gave us all the island feels! 🌴🐠 We went for a full-on seafood feast, fresh fish, juicy shrimps that tasted like they jumped straight out of the sea, tender baby squid, garlic rice, kankun veggies, and some crispy, golden fresh potato chips on the side. Every bite screamed fresh and flavorful. The vibe was just as amazing as the food. With chill music in the background, the sound of the waves nearby, and that laid-back beachy atmosphere, it felt like the perfect tropical escape. 🏝️✨ If you’re in the area, this is a must-try. Come hungry, stay for the vibe, and let Elita give you a taste of the island life.

We had a yummy dinner here for our anniversary. The place was very quiet, I think people are definitely missing out! We had the mahi mahi and fried prawns and the flavours were delicious. The only downside was they had run out of some fish (but I guess it will depend on the local catch of the day) and my cocktail could have been a bit better. Overall we had a great experience, highly recommend 🙏🏻

Had such a great time at Elita! Seafood was super fresh and the place itself is really stylish and cozy, perfect for a nice dinner. Plus, the food came out super fast, which was awesome because we didn’t have to wait long to dig in. Definitely a spot I’d recommend to anyone looking for a fantastic meal!
