We truly enjoyed our two nights at The Hotel Elite. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was small, but very clean and comfortable and the upper floor corner location provided lots of light and air. The close location to the train station was very convenient but, as with all of Lausanne, you must be prepared to navigate a steep hill to get there. A great value that we recommend and will return to.

Excellent hotel in Lausanne, very close to the train station. The rooms are big and clean and the housekeeping service is quite good and efficient. The location is the biggest advantage, close to the train station as well as the heart of old town with a lot of restaurants and cafes nearby.

vintage style, clean and big rooms, all the staff were very friendly. breakfast is not the best but enough. located in the center, 3 min walk to main station.

Very comfortable hotel room and a great location, within walking distance of Old Town etc. Lausanne is a hilly city so keep that in mind. Retro feel but very clean and charming. We enjoyed our stay here. Friendly staff, we were able to store our luggage for the day as we had a late departure. Delicious buffet breakfast.

We had nicely size room but not included breakfast. The receptionist is kind and helpful. It's really close to the train station but there are very steep hills or if you go the other way they have 30 -50 stairs. I'm in my 50s and was able to carry a carry-on luggage & a backpack up with 1 break😮‍💨😓

While this is not a posh hotel, it hits all the marks for clean, quiet and comfortable. The place has such character, with a lovely lounge for reading and relaxing, and an attractive, inviting breakfast room. My single bed in a small room was super comfortable and the quality of the furnishings and bathroom fixtures really excellent. The staff is so helpful, and it reflects the pride of a family who has owned it since before WW II. While I usually like luxury hotels, I would stay at the Elite over and over!

The hotel is close to the Lausanne train station but the way up is a bit steep when carrying luggage. Friendly service and the room was clean, equipped with air conditioning and fridge. Good value for the price.

This would have been a four star review, as the hotel is nicely located, with very friendly staff, a solid breakfast, and spacious rooms with comfortable beds. The building and furniture are rather old, but everything was working fine. This is, however, a two star review due to an extremely unpleasant and disgusting encounter in the bathroom with a huge centipede (photo attached). It did not help that the hotel staff said that these insects appear in the city and can enter any place at any time, and locals are thus used to it. First of all, I hardly believe that this is normal in Switzerland. Furthermore, in my opinion, the appearance of such large insects in a hotel should never be considered normal, definitely not in Central Europe. I consider it a sign of insufficient cleaning and a lack of measures against insect infestation. The second star is for the positive points mentioned in the beginning, but unfortunately, this hotel has a serious problem with pests.
