Elite Hotel Lausanne

It's just uphill from the train station exit. A metro line and several buses are also close.|There is a safe, refrigerator and air conditioning in the room. The bed is comfortable. The shower is an enclosed stall so you don't have to worry about water getting all over the bathroom floor. The WiFi was also good.|The breakfast is alright. There is a buffet with yogurt, cheese, scrambled and hard boiled eggs, sausages, good crusty breads (some days had a whole grain one which I prefer), croissants, pan au chocolate, 3 of the 4 days there was fruit salad and whole fruit (twice there were nice fresh figs), two types of "muesli" (more like granola to me)- fruit preserves and chocolate spread and orange juice. They serve you coffee or tea - 3 of the 4 days it was your own pot, the other in a mug.|They give you a printout that gives you unlimited use of the transportation in the city |There is a small garden alongside the hotel that has a table and some chairs.|All in all it is a good place to stay.

This hotel needs some updating. Our room appeared to be last refreshed in the 70s. The beds were comfortable, and the room was quiet. This very basic hotel is a five or ten minute walk uphill from the train station. The hotel breakfast was average.

A rather old fashioned but quaint hotel. Friendly helpful staff. It is well positioned & close the railway station,|although a reasonably steep street to reach it. Various bars & restaurants in close proximity. |Breakfast only, which consists of scrambled egg & sausages as the hot course with cold meats etc. |A previous review complained about no German TV station. Mine would be on English speaking TV station. |The lift is very small & old fashioned with no safety guard between you & the doors/walls. ||A small garden with seats is very pleasant. ||Reception closes at 11pm. You will need a PIN code to enter the main doors if staying out late.

Very lively little city, Lausanne. Hotel was clean and comfortable, but no Air Conditioning. Could not sleep with windows open because the balcony next door had a chain smoker. It was a hot 2 days stay! If you are coming by car, the Navi gives faulty direction as they had closed off roads.

Rooms a little dated, but clean. Good service, great breakfast, and pleasant staff. Location is perfect for train station, old town and the lake.

We truly enjoyed our two nights at The Hotel Elite. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was small, but very clean and comfortable and the upper floor corner location provided lots of light and air. The close location to the train station was very convenient but, as with all of Lausanne, you must be prepared to navigate a steep hill to get there. A great value that we recommend and will return to.

The room was excellent and the blinds and AC made it so easy to get a good nights sleep. If you're at the front of the building and top floor you'll not be disappointed with the view. The staff were friendly and very helpful, you can't ask for more than that.

Excellent hotel in Lausanne, very close to the train station. The rooms are big and clean and the housekeeping service is quite good and efficient. The location is the biggest advantage, close to the train station as well as the heart of old town with a lot of restaurants and cafes nearby.
