The location for this hotel cannot be bettered; being right across the road from Malmo Central Train Station; and in fact this was reason I returned for a second time after staying here earlier in the year. The hotel is steeped in history and is rather beautiful in its own way. People have pointed out about the tone of the reception staff at times, but for me, and on both occasions I’ve stayed here, I’ve found them to be nothing but pleasant, welcoming and very professional. Indeed that goes for all the team members I encountered. Breakfast is served in a separate part of the hotel and is an excellent choice & spread of both hot and cold food, with something for everyone’s tastes. An on-site bar/pub adjoins the hotel (‘The Bishop's Arms) and though I didn’t eat here; it was busy when I did have a drink and the food looked good that was being served - the bar/pub is usually open from 4pm for drinks etc as an FYI. Beautiful marble staircase within the hotel and a small lift running through the middle. However; this is where the positives end. Last time I was in the main hotel but this time I was placed in the side annex (rooms 600 plus) - it’s a bit of a faff at first to both find the rooms/floor with its many steps and I’d try to avoid this part of the building if your staying. My small en-suite room was clean & tidy with a window you could open to let fresh air in. Tea/coffee tray in room and TV (not many channels). It was however the noise; maybe I just lucked out with inconsiderate guests SLAMMING their room doors but really!? Have some consideration for others - together with Nelly The Elephant in the room/floor above me; clomping about at all times and dragging a chair across the wooden floors only added the fun (not!). Also the room was on a side/back road; with either a private home or bar/space that shared the same building walls; being two floors up, the outside private door to this part of the building would also SLAM at all times and you could not only hear the SLAMMING but feel it too! - Very little sleep was had on my three nights and sadly I didn’t look forward to having to come back, not being able to relax. And it pains me to say all that as the hotel really is lovely, clean and convenient. But sleep and peace are important to me, and being able to relax was just not possible - sadly, though I will be returning to Malmo, it will have to be another hotel from now on.

The staff at Savoy Hotel were incredibly helpful and solution-oriented. Since I had to leave early in the morning, they kindly prepared a breakfast bag for me and even offered fresh coffee to take with me. I would like to thank everyone who assisted me, and especially Mr. Mustafa at the reception, for their outstanding hospitality.

Friendly staff, nice rooms, superb breakfast and great with minibar and tea making facilities in room (rare these days). So why not a higher score? Under renovation (Oct -25), which loudly woke everyone up at 05.30 (!). Wasn't mentioned when booking, nor reflected in price. Oh, and great burger in the adjacent Bishops arms.

The staff is excellent, very professional and helpful. The room was exceptionally clean with the possibility of an upgrade (robe and slippers). I was welcomed with a complimentary bottle of wine, some snacks and few bags of coffee and tea (as there is a coffee maker in the room). Breakfast was amazing, with a huge variety of choices. Yoghurt, milk, juice, coffee, tea... A selection of fruit, cookies, muffins, cereals, (even chia seeds) some salads, pastry, salami and cheese, as well as eggs and sausages. I especially liked the option of warming the bread and the buns. Different types of jam for american pancakes (kept always warm). The room was solid size, with an ironing board, an iron, and a hair dryer. The bathroom was really good size and with a nice selection of toiletries. The view from my room was over a canal and I really loved it, both in the morning and especially at night. The lobby of the hotel is really elegant, classy with few lounges which look like you stepped into an Agatha Christie's novel. There is also a huge poster on the wall in the breakfast area for the play based upon her The Murder at the Savoy. It's all very Instagramable, for those of us who like taking photos. The quiet music was played in the morning at the weekends (in the bigger dining area) during breakfast time, which was a really nice touch. The Malmo Central station is only few steps away as well as the bus station for the airport shuttle bus. All the most important places in Malmo are within the walking range. I really enjoyed my stay at the Elite Hotel Savoy and I definitely plan to go stay there whenever I go back to Malmo.

Decent accommodations. Loved the service. And the croissants were amazing. Room was a bit cramped and some sections are not really accessibility friendly. Dragging luggage over steps is not fun. But has an old world feels to the structure which was nice. 4/5 on my croissant-o-meter

The staff was outstanding, really striving to make our stay perfect!||||We celebrated our wedding at Elite Hotel Savoy, and the day could not have been better! The day was well-organized, that my partner and I could just lean back and enjoy the day withour any stress or worry. ||||Several of our guests commented on how fantastic the food was, and especially our vegetarian and vegan guests were amazed at feeling that their food had been as well planned and executed as the main menu. ||||The restaurant and bar staff were not only extremely competent, but were also super pleasant and added to the general ambience of the party.

Booked two rooms from August 10-12 and the hotel did not mention that a temporary rock stage was built five meters in front of the hotel with concerts until 1 am. The whole room was vibrating!|Please also note that the hotel has no ac so if you cannot open the windows at night the temperature will be like a sauna.|Many rooms are at half a stair with no elevator so don’t bring family who cannot walk in stairs.|Good breakfast available, though.

Yelp
The Elite Savoy Hotel is one of the oldest, yet also one of the most modern, hotels in Malmö. It has much to recommend it, but also a few things to be aware of. The hotel, one of 30 properties that comprise Sweden's Elite Hotel Group, was undergoing a renovation that had begun in October 2018 when we visited. Walls were being repainted, rooms refreshed, and mechanical systems updated. The work was done during the day, so nothing disturbed the hotel's guests at night. Located directly across a canal from Malmö's Central Train Station, it is undeniably convenient, and the price was quite reasonable, especially compared to the hotels in Copenhagen, which is a 20 minute train ride away. Our room rate, for a "superior" room, included a buffet breakfast each morning - a great way to start the day. The breakfast featured typical European fare of muesli; a broad assortment of meats and cheeses; scrambled eggs, streaky bacon and baked beans to appeal to their British guests; breads, rolls, and coffee and tea. Breakfast is served in the on-site Savoy Grill. A British pub called the Bishops Arms is directly next door. The guest room itself was nicely appointed, though small, measuring just 11 by 12 feet. At 8 feet, 9 inches high, the tall ceiling made it feel a bit larger. Equipped with two twin beds pulled together to approximate a king, the room also had a modest work station, an armoire, a mini-fridge, coffee and tea service, in-room safe, iron and board, and hairdryer. Robes and slippers were available for an additional charge. Among the positives, Wi-Fi was included in the room rate and connectivity was quite decent at 13.5 Mbps as measured by an independent test site. Mini-bar prices were quite reasonable, with 187 ml. bottles of red and white wine offered at 70 SEK each, or about US$7 at today's rates, and bottled water and soft drinks were 25 SEK, or about $2.50. Prices for the soft drinks were better at the nearby Coop mart, but seasoned travelers understand there is a premium for convenience. The bathroom was also small. At less than five by seven feet, it had a sink, toilet and walk-in shower but lacked any real counter space. Like the guest room, it was nicely equipped and included a heated floor and heated mirror, as well as a magnifying mirror for those of us "of a certain age." Elite-branded amenities including shower gel, shampoo, cream rinse and conditioner as well as a small bar soap were also provided. The hotel has a shared computer off the lobby, a "Relax" area with a sauna and modest gym with cardio equipment and free weights. It also has meeting space for those who need it. While service was generally excellent and the people responsive, there were a couple of minor misses. When our room was made up, housekeeping failed to replace the empty box of facial tissues and the bar of soap we'd used. Another minor miss involved the hot pot provided with the in-room coffee. The cord was so short, we either had to place the pot on the floor next to the outlet or unplug the desk light so we could put the pot on the desktop. In all, we'd stay at the Savoy again though, being Americans accustomed to more space, would likely opt for one of the property's larger guests rooms.

Yelp
I love this hotel, I don't know what it is but it's one of my favorite places to stay when I come to Malmo. The hotel is quaint and every room I've stayed in is unique. It's got more of a home feel than a hotel feel. It literally across the street from the Central station, right on the beautiful canal, close to the main square, lots of eateries, etc. The front desk staff is always friendly and helpful. I've only had good experiences here so I continue returning as I have to come here regularly for work. I'm sure there are other hotels but the value for the price is perfect! Also I've communicated with the hotel via email for upcoming reservations and they are very prompt and helpful in responding. Note: I would give this hotel 4 stars but they did not offer their loyalty program to me until my 3rd visit and would not honor my previous visits with points. Very disappointing customer service!

Yelp
Malmö is a great alternative if you fly from Copenhagen Kastrup airport. And the location is the one of the few great things in this hotel. The good: It is opposite the station (with direct trains to Kastrup airport every 20 minutes). We had a pretty decent room service dinner (though overpriced, but that's room service...). They also have free wireless internet and the breakfast is pretty good, too (try the pickled and marinated fish). The Bad: The hotel itself is tired, and so is the service. The only time I saw staff smiling is when I left. I stayed in the Savoy three years ago and the experience was pretty much the same. The bathroom layout is hideous and tiny. Quite a few things didn't make sense. The Ugly: The bathroom wasn't entirely clean. A previous customer left some pubes in a corner. If I had to stay there for more than a night, I would have complained.

Yelp
Excellent location - close to train station. Rooms are clean. Restaurant serves good food. Breakfast is included with your room.

Yelp
This hotel was a great find. They are located steps away from the train station (about a block). Everything was just fine. It is a clean, well run place with plenty of amenities, including a great breakfast buffet and a cafe/bar that stays open late, plus a restaurant (which I did not dine at). The lobby is spacious and comfortable, and there is a computer for guests (though what you can perform on it is limited). The staff was outstanding, particularly a server in the cafe and a young front desk guy who helped me with connectivity issues with my laptop. The whole staff was polite and friendly and eager to help. Great place. Prices very reasonable.
