Elite Plaza Hotel is a stylish, modern, and thoughtfully designed hotel beautifully located by the waterfront in central Örnsköldsvik. Here are my impressions after staying there:||⸻||Location:||The hotel enjoys a fantastic location right on the harbor—just steps from the water. The sea-facing rooms offer a calming view that adds a vacation-like feel. However, some rooms face a busy road and can be affected by noise. For a restful night’s sleep, it’s highly recommended to book a room with a sea view.||⸻||Interior & Atmosphere:||Design is one of the hotel’s strongest assets. The interior features warm wood paneling, Scandinavian-style furnishings, and carefully curated lighting. The lounge and dining areas are tastefully decorated with natural materials, books, ceramics, and artistic touches.||A particularly impressive feature is the tall stairwell adorned with hanging globe lights, creating a dramatic and artistic visual impression. Overall, the atmosphere is both elegant and inviting.||⸻||Rooms & Bathrooms:||The rooms are modern, comfortable, and stylishly minimalistic. Bathrooms are fully tiled in dark marble, equipped with rain showers and good lighting—both functional and visually appealing.||⸻||Breakfast:||The breakfast is of high quality, offering a wide selection including cold cuts, smoked salmon, fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, bacon, and various breads and toppings. The buffet is well presented and includes both hot and cold options. The breakfast area is bright and pleasant with plenty of natural light.||⸻||Restaurant:||The hotel’s in-house restaurant is The Bishops Arms, a well-known British-style gastropub. It offers a cozy atmosphere and a good selection of food, beer, and whiskies. A convenient and relaxed dining option just downstairs.||⸻||Service:||The reception staff was professional and helpful. The breakfast team was also friendly and attentive.||⸻||Summary:||This is a beautiful hotel with a strong focus on design and comfort. The breakfast is excellent, the ambiance is relaxing, and the location by the harbor is hard to beat. The only downside is the potential road noise in some rooms—book a sea view room for the best experience.

Stayed one night after driving south. Beautifully located at the harbor in Örnsköldsvik. Clean and large room. The gym looked nice (top floor) and empty (at 9 am), but had no time to use it. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was okay, unfortunately tried the chia seed pudding which tasted foul. Make dinner reservations if you are planning on trying one of the many restaurants by the harbor. We had to travel closer to the town to find a restaurant (it was delicious though! Malins bistro). Friendly staff at the hotel! We booked parking right outside the hotel, very convenient.

I stayed here, unexpectedly, last month. What a delight! The staff were so helpful, particularly Nora managing the reception in the evening. The sauna was wonderful and the view - well the best view whilst in a sauna, surely! The breakfast was very good - plenty of healthy options. My room was very comfortable with a great view over the town. Hopefully I will return to Elite Plaza Hotel, Örnskoldsvik in the future.

Nice hotel on a great location! The hotel rooms were very clean and had everything you can think of. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, just quite crowded during the summer. But a great place to stay when visiting Höga Kusten or just on a visit through.

I can’t speak much for the actual hotel building as my room was in a separate building which felt abandoned, after a long walk through a maze of stairs and corridors you found almost like an apartment with a living room and 3 separate bedrooms. Room itself was clean but paying over 2000Sek for one night is outrageous. I arrived early evening and had not prebooked so I took what I got. I will definitely not return to this hotel in the future. Service was good, I was treated by a very friendly receptionist who even showed me the way to my room which was actually very important as I would have never found it otherwise. Breakfast room is tiny and they use this terrible coffee machine with frozen concentrate. Its location is definitely the only real good thing. It’s beautifully located right in the corner of the docks and if you would be staying in the actual hotel you might even have a view. I’ve stayed in other Elite hotels in other cities and always been very happy with everything. This however was a huge disappointment. As I was only passing through I didn’t do much research other than seeing they have a 4.1 star rating. This might be applicable to the actual hotel though.

The hotel does represent its name Elite. The room was good with a minibar in it (you have to pay for the usage). Daily use items were provided. There is the Bishops Arm bar and restro downstairs in the hotel and it also has conference rooms. Overall the place was good but expensive.
