Elite Stadshotellet Luleå

I booked a superior room for two for two nights in late January as we were on our way to Kiruna. It was a quick taxi ride (410 kr) from the airport and check in was efficient. (It is located less than 5 minutes to the train station.) The hotel is a beautiful historic building so we were not surprised with the coziness of the room. It was adequate to accommodate the two twin beds and luggage. The bathroom was also cozy, the sink tiny! Every inch was spotless and the water hot and plentiful. This is a great location - across from a lovely park and the church. It just a few blocks to the central shopping district with plenty of shops, restaurants and the Kulturens Hus. Restaurant CG is also one block away - outstanding food and a quick walk in the January cold. Our breakfast was included - fresh baked breads and pastries, eggs, pancakes, fresh fruit, vegetables and meats - everything to get ready for a day of sightseeing and ice bathing. 4 stars because the lighting could be better in the room - bring a small lighted makeup mirror if you need that sort of thing. I would definitely book here the next time I'm traveling in Sweden.

Top class breakfast! Rooms are spacious and overall nice hotel.

A great looking older building with a very good location. Next to a park with a playground for kids. Short walk to the theater. Main entrance is to the main shopping street of the city with just some 150m walk to the closest shopping centre. We had a family room for our group of four and there was plenty of space in the room. Very high ceiling height in the room which made the room feel spacious. The room was quiet. The beds were huge which really surprised us. Our room had a partial view to the sea. The breakfast was great and served in a beautiful gallery. The staff felt professional. Our kids received small activity packages when we checked in with a small reward when tasks like tasting pancakes at the breakfast or making faces in front of the mirrors were done. Parking is in the same building but since it's an old building there is no direct elevator access and instead you have to walk through an inner courtyard and a short distance on the street to get to your parked car. The garage has been made when cars were smaller so it's a very tight fit for modern cars and the ceiling is low. There's a playroom for kids, I guess, at least we happened to find a room with a ping-pong table and some toys and drawing equipment, but the room was really lightly equipped. It's almost not worth mentioning.

Nice looking building and basic, spacious rooms. |Only one person at front desk, so had to wait. She worked hard though. Kids enjoyed the bathtub, and it was clean. |There is something in the air, so if you have past experience of symptoms from the air quality, maybe choose another hotel. This is why we are not going back.

Absolutely huge hotel. My room on the second floor was so big I felt I had been given the wrong room. It was so splendid. Big bed that was too soft for my liking. Big tv which I didn't turn on. Big bathroom which of course I used. Breakfast downstairs was delicious with so much food to choose from. And the setting was so huge. Photo shows how big this room is. Three chandeliers. Wow!! Ida on reception was a breath of fresh air. Funny and easy to talk with. All the staff were excellent also. Recommended

Nice hotel, didn’t stay long, well placed. Only we had to use the suitcase rack oursevles while the receptionist watched, thought it was a bit odd.

This hotel is located In a old stone building in the middle of Luleå. Nice rooms with bathtub and minibar. Must add that the beds and pillows are very comfortable at Elite. You also have access to Bishops Arms directly from Elite Hotel were you can eat and drink. Breakfast was ok with the basics nothing more, nothing less.
