Elite Stadshotellet Vaxjo

A nice hotel at its core with good potential, but some things did not work quite as they should. A bit of a rough diamond.||We stayed in a family room and it was very cramped when the sofa bed was made up, making it difficult to move around in the room.||Housekeeping did not work as expected. The staff removed items that were not meant to be thrown away, and the shower gel was completely empty and not refilled despite two consecutive days of cleaning. In addition, several lamps in the room were out of order.||In the bathroom, the floor heating was on during the peak of summer and could not be switched off. There were also no hooks to hang towels on.||Breakfast was fine, fairly standard but with some areas for improvement. Many items ran out and were replenished slowly. Fresh berries were missing and the selection of cold cuts was rather small. There was also no Belgian waffle maker, which many hotels offer these days in Sweden.||Otherwise clean and tidy, nice rooms and a very comfortable double bed.

We had excellent service when we stayed with Elite in Vaxjo. The team there went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. Central location, fair prices, good breakfast!

Beautiful, tastefully decorated hotel. We had an amazing time, and wish we could have stayed longer on the trip. The staff were all kind, warm and welcoming, and the food was great as well. Vibrant shopping experience and the Vaxjo train station within walking distance. We'll definitely be back.

The stay was good, breakfast was good 😊 Was just disappointed with the view. Our room view was facing the hotel service area which was not so pleasant.

The interior featured a minimalistic design and the bed was too narrow. On the other hand, the price was quite high, compared to other hotels in the town.

Hard to believe the price range of this hotel! The first two times staying here we thought it was unlucky and temporary that the standard of the rooms we got were so shabby. When hearing the hotel was going throw general renovation and had lots of bookings. Returning, again, getting a worn out room AGAIN. Not fresh. Also cold and very thin walls. We did not get a good sleep. Boring breakfast that lacks quality. I can not recommend this hotel.
