This was our second time coming in, our first time was exceptional, thus the return. Our waitress this morning was disappointing to say the least. We got the feeling that she just did not like us. I ordered a coffee cake for our table to try as an " appetizer" when our brunch was brought our i asked if she forgot the coffee cake, her response was simply I did, do you want it now? No now we have our food, no apology nothing. We had coffee had to request refills, my husband's sausage gravy over biscuit was cold, my fruit was mushy the strawberry and 1 blackberry were good tge rest not. :( . We had high expectations and were so sadly disappointed. I'm happy to spend 100.00 on 4 for breakfast, but I'd like the service to at least be decent. Had this been our first experience it would surely be our last. Our first visit left me posting pictures and praises and excitement to return. This first left all 4 of us disappointed and definitely not recommending anyone to go.

Love coming here! The ease of scheduling reservation online and the food are always a plus. This last time we were there, Hailey was our sever. She was great, provided recommendations on food, and the food was brought out promptly.

Up until the very end, we were actually having a decent experience. A group of longtime friends and I were out to dinner catching up, the service was fine, and we were genuinely enjoying ourselves. Like anyone having a good time, we lost track of time. As we were getting ready to leave, a couple walked in, sat at the bar, and ordered drinks, so we assumed the establishment was still open since new guests were still being served. When that couple went to leave, the wife loudly announced, “Sorry we stayed so late past closing time,” clearly directed at us. It was extremely uncomfortable and felt intentional. They appeared to be close friends with the bartender, and it came across as though they were used to indirectly get us to leave instead of staff addressing us directly. If we were past closing time, the staff could have simply come over and politely let us know. That would have been professional and respectful. Having another customer call us out in a passive aggressive way was awkward and unnecessary. It is unfortunate, because what had been a pleasant experience up until that moment ended on a really sour note and left a bad taste in our mouths at the very end of our service. I definitely won’t be returning.

Abysmal service. Disappointing food. We arrived around 6:30 and were promptly seated in the room with the bar. There were 2 other tables in that room and 1 table in the blue room. 4 tables total. Really neat building and atmosphere. Within the time we were there our server, who was the only server there. Forgot what drink one of the other tables ordered, forgot if we had ordered or not, forgot to bring another table a steak knife with their stake (to which they said that they always forget to bring a steak knife) forgot to put my appetizer order in, and forgot my steal knife (and then joked with me about how they always forget the steak knife and asked if I had heard them say that to the other table). My girlfriend avoids dairy whenever possible as any more than a little bit will cause her to be ill. When she asked the server if her appetizer could be come without the cheese on top the server replied with something along the lines of "sure, if you want it to be boring." We were both surprised as that is the sort of comment that is rude and unnecessary. My girlfriends appetizer came out within a few minutes of ordering. I figured since everything is made to order that my crab dip was just taking a little longer. At 7:30 when our food came out, I asked about my appetizer and was told it was forgotten about. My girlfriends main dish was pasta with a white wine based sauce. She said the noodles seemed to be made in house and were good but that the sauce was very watery. I had the steak with smashed potatoes and broccoli. 1/3 of the steak was inedible fat (see photo) which, for a 36 dollar dish, was very disappointing. The stake was juicey and cooked well but had no flavor or hint of seasoning. The potatoes and broccoli were well seasoned and delicious. My appetizer was brought to me as a to go order. The crab dip was by far the most tasty thing ordered but it filled about half of the 8oz deli cup it came in, so about 4oz of dip for 16$ which was again disappointing. To be honest we were both dumbfounded by the quality of the service. I have worked in customer facing positions and my girlfriend is herself a chef so we both tend to be pretty understanding but joking with your customers about how you always forget something and then forgetting it for another customer 20 mins later, forgetting to put entire parts of the meal order in (a recurring problem, based on other reviews), forgetting a drink order you just took and not even remembering if you took the order of a table you sat 5 minutes ago is just unprofessional. I didn't even get a chance to ask for a steak knife for 10-15 minutes after my order came out because the server disappeared into the back. Honestly do not understand why the server is not writing orders down if they can't remember anything?? Food is overpriced. Both in my opinion as the one paying and my girlfriends opinion as a chef. It is disappointing to try to take your significant other out on a nice dinner date only to be out 100$ that could have been spent getting more food and better service.

If your looking for a unique, cozy, and intimate, restaurant, this is it. There is plenty of street parking. As soon as enter, there is a reception desk and you are warmly greeted. We were seated immediately. Their menu, had enough seafood, meat, and vegan options-for Food was reasonably priced. This visit we chose the salmon dinner and crab cake dinner. Our food was hot, good portions, and seasoned well. We enjoyed our experience and will share with friends and family.

The soups were outstanding, both the chicken vegetable & onion. The entrees we had: meatloaf, chicken Parmesan, and chicken Margarita. The meatloaf was very uneventful. The chicken Margarita was flavorful but the chicken was tough and chewy. The chicken Parmesan was excellent. We didn't have dessert. The wine was priced fairly and the ice tea was good. We would go back again but would amend our food choices.

Very sad to say. We were here for New Year Eve 2023. We weren't expecting this. The place is simply beautiful. Our server Izzy was the best. However, the food was very disappointing. First, the soup, while it had a great flavor, it was barely warm. The main course wasn't any better. My prime rib was over done, and over spiced. The twice baked potato was undercooked, and again hardly warm. The cheese on top wasn't even melted. They left a quarter of the potato in the skin, which you couldn't even scoop out it was so raw. My girlfriends dinner wasn't much better. The chicken was overcooked as were the shrimp. That said, the saled and desert were wonderful. Once again, our Server Izzy was amazing. We didn't share our disappointment until after the meal. Why because In addition to Izzy waiting tables, she was also tending the bar, as well as being the hosting. In addition, we were the first reservations of the night. I've read so many great reviews of this place. Maybe the kitchen staff was just having an off night. We will give them another try.

My wife and I have been here a couple times and have loved it. This last time, we brought our youngest son and he thourougly enjoyed himself. He is only 11 but, he loves good food. He was not disappointed. He tried everything we ordered and when it came to the International Burger that he ordered, he thought it was the best burger he had ever eaten. He also thought the inside of Cobalt Manor was "cool" and he loved the music! I think he's eclectic with his tastes for such a young man. We will be back soon.

Great food! Great service! Amazing ambiance! We'll be back! We had a great date night. Happy hour all day on Thursday. Love that!

Very atmospheric spot in Smyrna, great for brunch and lunch. Happy hour and daily event listing in photos below. Our food was fine and cooked properly. I got crepes with cherries and cream. There were just two preserved cherries on top, with cherry flavored whipped cream inside. I would have preferred more fruit but that's just my personal preference. Husband got the French toast combo which was also cooked well. Decaf coffees. No espresso or cappuccino drinks as machine was down. No oat milk, but almond milk available. No celery for bloody marys. Overall I'd come for the atmosphere, with the food of secondary importance.

The New York Strip Bleu Cheese Crostini was unbelievable. Best thing I've eaten in months. And we really loved the layout and atmosphere; it felt like being invited to a dinner party at a friend's home.

Great restaurant in Smyrna Delaware. It's in an old house that is decorated and has furniture from the period when the house was built which is early 20th century. It's a bit tight for an elderly person to get in and navigate but, the staff was accommodating and the food and cocktails were delicious. Definitely check them out if you happen to be in Smyrna.

A charming restaurant rich with old world ambiance and great food. This nicely preserved Victorian building is abundantly filled with antique decor and furnishings which immediately transform diners into a time period of elegance and class. The atmosphere is relaxed yet confident as the host welcomes you upon entry. Our table was set next to the fireplace, but it still felt private enough (at least for lunch). The menu allows for dietary restrictions and our server was attentive to my wife's food allergy. As an appetizer, my wife had the French onion soup which she thoroughly enjoyed. For main entry she had the Avocado toast. I opted for the seared Mahi Tuna tacos for my lunch. The portions were modest, but filling. We'll definitely return. It's refreshing to find restaurants like this (especially in this area) that properly blend an upscale dining setting with modern menu selections.

I've left multiple positive reviews of this establishment in the past but last night's experience can't be ignored. I went there with my partner to celebrate new year and our anniversary. They had a special menu with a fixed price and 2 seating times. We arrived on time for the first seating and as soon as we were seated our server made it a point to stress that they were fully booked and that we needed to adhere to a 1.5 hour seating. She repeated this directive multiple times throughout the evening. We had the prime rib and the Chesapeake chicken dinners. A half hour into our seating time our meals were delivered to the table...we noted at this time that there were 2 tables seated in the bar area and 2 tables seated in the parlor. The chicken was dry on the edges and everything on the plate was cold. The prime rib was brown (we had ordered medium) and this plate was also cold. We sent them back to the kitchen and I assumed that at least the steak would be replaced with a fresh piece. Not so. The meals came out even more well done and slightly warmer. Salad, dessert, and drinks were all good however the complimentary champagne was really pretty bad. When we left, there were still only 2 tables seated in the bar area (including us) and 3 tables in the parlor area. As I said, we used to come here often and may be back again but it won't be soon and it won't be on a night when there is a special menu.

This had a high rating so I'm not sure what happened, but this place did not live up to the reputation from the minute we walked in. The interior is beautiful. But the service was lacking. We walked in around 12:30pm, there was absolutely no one else inside. We asked the hostess if there was outside seating, she originally said no, but then asked someone and said yes. However, they did not have any umbrellas at the outdoor tables so we decided to sit inside. The menus provided were not the same as what is listed online. There were primarily breakfast options, very few lunch items, and no listed flatbreads as advertised online. Both my mother and I ordered a chicken salad sandwich, which is listed on the menu as being on ciabatta. She asked for hers to be on a croissant, I said the ciabatta was fine for me. After our waitress walked away I heard someone from the kitchen yell at her that they have not served ciabatta bread in months. The waitress did not return to advise me that this is an issue. She returned with our food, lo and behold they did have ciabatta bread. The chicken salad was edible and the flavors were good, however it was a very soupy consistency that did not want to stay in the bread. It was served with home fries, they tasted stale. I had finished half my sandwich before the waitress returned to check if everything was tasting okay. We said things were fine, and she left us again until we were finished. Maybe Saturday isn't a popular day to come here. I'm not sure if this place went under new management. But frankly I would not even think about returning, and only gave more than 1 star because nothing was truly horrible. Just not organized, professional, or up to the expectations of its current rating.

Lovely setting in Victorian house with period decor. Nice menu, although the server and chef had to work at finding a GF, DF lunch. Server could not have been nicer. Honored the Yelp check- in discount even though she never saw it before. Have some alcoholic beverages and coffee drinks.

Was walking by from our place and poked our head inside, was a little worried we weren't dressed fancy enough but they let us sit down. I wish they would've told us to keep on walking because the service was terrible. I've seen better at an Applebees in the hood. Food was alright. Watch out for the hidden extras. The pasta is one price and the protein is another and know where on the menu is that specified. Wish I would've had Wendy's instead. When the Lady brought us a to go box it was asked for a one more water as I was pretty parched. Sat there for 20 mins waiting on that water and our check. Got the check but I'm still waiting on that water

My husband ordered a BLT and was told, they ran out of bacon and it was only 1:40pm. He ordered a rib sandwich that was a little spicy. His vegetable soup didn't have any vegetables in it. It was more like a broth. The chicken salad sandwich I had was okay. It would have been nice if I had more grapes and celery in it. The ambiance wasn't as good as usual because my tablecloth was soiled.

The place looks very nice, but seating is uncomfortable. Service is extremely slow (waited over 1 hour for our meals), but friendly. It's the food that's a real problem. The kitchen can't seem to decide if it's "fine dining", or "middle-of-the-road Mexican". Although the quality of what was served was OK, it was nothing to write home about, and really not anything that couldn't be easily made in my own kitchen without much effort. The menu simply lacked imagination, and was rather simplistic. Their obsession with "only organic and local" ingredients means that much of what's on the menu is not available. Accessibility and safety is another problem. If you have difficulty walking, and use a cane or walker, you should avoid visiting this restaurant. Because it's an old house, there are a lot of odd sloping floors, and little step-ups, NONE of which are marked - two of our party tripped and one fell (and it bears mentioning that those who did so, were NOT mobility impaired). Although nobody was at all hurt, it's worth mentioning. All in all, I wouldn't bother returning.

When we pulled up, I noticed the cool building and a waitress smoking outside with a very sour look on her face. Hoping she wouldn't end up being ours, we entered. The decor is a bit shabbily done but very interesting to look at. There aren't many tables, and there were only 3 people there. Still, it took 45 minutes to get our food. I understand it's all from scratch, but everyone else had their food. Unfortunately we had the waitress from outside - she had zero personality and seemed to not want to be there at all. I soon realized she was also the chef. The food was good. The coleslaw was very odd and made of the hard ribs of cabbage. Too tough to chew. The rib eye sandwich was ok. The portobello mushroom sandwich was mainly all bread but did taste good. Prices were reasonable. Although we did want dessert, we were afraid it would take forever to arrive. We settled the check and by the time we went back to our car, the waitress was outside smoking again. Really not a good look. I have no idea if this was the owner or not - I hope not or there's not much chance of this restaurant succeeding. If she's not the owner, the owner should be aware we would have had a much more enjoyable lunch if the waitress wouldn't have acted like it was a burden to wait on us. Hard to say if we'll be back.

Located in a historical house, love the atmosphere and service. Stuffed avocado looks good but it was too simple. Maybe some light background music since the voices somehow echo in the mansion? :)

Had a horrible meal here. My husband had steak which was over cooked, fatty, and almost inedible. My son had the rib sandwich which was soo tough he had to try to cut it up and deconstruct it to consume. My other son had fettuccine Alfredo which was completely bland. The creamy tomato soup was good, my crabcake sandwich was ok. The only reason we ate our meals was because we were all starving and had to leave for a ballgame right after otherwise I would have demanded for the bill for the decent food and left. Even after giving an honest review nothing was done on behalf of the restaurant to correct our horrible experience.

Ate there this past Sunday at around 11 and it was not as good as it has been in the previous visit. I had the crepes home fries and fruit. My crepes had no whip cream in or on top the home fries were cold they had onion and red peppers that had not been cooked done. The fruit cup was ok but they left the rine on the cantaloupe which I was unable to cut off due to and hand injury so had to have help from my dinning partner The service was very slow The waitress definitely wanted to be somewhere besides there working. We had enjoy our previous visit and will give it another try. Maybe the staff was not on point yesterday.

This place is a true hidden gem in the Smyrna/Dover Kent county area. The ambience is elegant, the food is of the highest quality and the service is on point. Great group of servers and bartenders. Jay Gatsby himself would have felt right at home in this establishment.

I first visited on Saturday at brunch with my best friend. This place is super cute! My server was awesome and apologetic about the wait... we requested our English muffin early, so we were good to go waiting on the rest of our food. No issues. The food was good, so good I told my daughter I was going to bring her there. We came in on Friday at 11... we were sat by someone who seemed agitated that we were there. As we waited we tried to figure out why. They were prepping for a party in the back. I let her know I had an amazing time the week before but she remained very curt and short. We finally decided to leave. Service is important and this time, you fell way short. It's a shame because it is soooooo cute. It's a meh maybe

Great food and great service. A hidden Gem in Smyrna. The ambiance is also wonderful. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing dinner locally.

Perfect little night to celebrate a birthday for friends! When we walked in, there was live music in the front room, a pleasant bluegrass style band with harmonica and a bass. The interior is all too intriguing with beautiful moulding and charming details to be found all around. The dining room was small and cozy, perfect for our group of 7. The menu was pretty good. Well rounded with a variety of choices. I would have liked it if they offered Coke/Pepsi products too, but they only had coffee/tea/Italian sodas. That's fine I suppose, just a little odd to not even have a bottled version available. Charcuterie board was a bit on the slim side, but nonetheless very good with a sun dried tomato cheese, Brie, Swiss cheese, blackberries, strawberries, prosciutto, and salami. My crab cake dinner was very good! As a crab cake snob I was hesitant, but I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor. Very meaty and not too bready. Would have appreciated more lumps instead of shredded crab but overall great. The slaw was lack luster, and the asparagus was a bit skimpy. Dessert was absolutely great! The French Bread Pudding with ice cream was exactly what I needed to end my evening. What an absolute treat! Topped with a berry compote and whipped cream, still warm from the oven...ah, man. It was epic! I would have appreciated my server being a bit more personable, but my order was correct and I was attended to without issue. I would have appreciated some sort of music in the room, even if it was being broadcasted from the live music because we could hear the dryer from the bathroom and the clanking of dishes in the kitchen. Overall, great experience and I would like to come back to try more! All my friends dishes looked great too.

Wow! It's been days later and my in-laws are still taking about this place! And quite honestly I agree that it's pretty exceptional! Firstly, the decor is amazing. It's like coming to a private dinner party. Everything seems so personal and pretty, all complementing the beautiful architecture. We had just finished a family photo shoot on site and the smells coming from the kitchen were mouthwatering! We were discussing where to eat when someone in our group brought over a menu and suggested that we eat there at the manor. The menu was chock full of delicious sounding meals. It was difficult to pick just one! We were seated relatively quick. Our server was pleasant. The table setting and room decor was phenomenal. Ordering was quick and easy. I was thrilled when my Manor coffee was delivered, a pecan whiskey & Irish whiskey coffee topped with fresh whipped cream & caramel. DECADENT! Our food was certainly a highlight. None of us could decide on things so most of us grabbed a plate from the a la carte menu in addition to a meal. The prices were so incredibly reasonable, it was not hard to want to try everything. Here is feedback on the food: The crepes were heavenly!!! A tad on the thick side but the amaretto creme and fresh berries needed a thicker crepe. The quiche was PERFECT! Flaky crust was filled with spinach, basil, egg and some cheese. It wasn't overly filling but for me the portion size was perfect. A few in our party ordered the American breakfast meal (I don't recall the name) with sausage & gravy, 2 eggs & potatoes. Everyone raved about the sausage & gravy. I stole a few bites of the tasty potatoes. One person got the western omelette and said it was excellent. She was surprised how creamy it was and the parsley made it perfectly seasoned. The kid got French Toast. Honestly, this child doesn't eat at all. He not only ate the whole thing, but he would stop on occasion and say, "This is really good!" In the end, we ate practically every bite! Everything was amazing. Towards the end of service, our server disappeared a bit. I don't feel that should result in the removal of a star, so I do feel that our experience is a solid 4.5 stars! Excellent time and more people should check out this gem.

My husband and I absolutely love Cobalt Manor, and Elizabeth Esther Cafe. The food is second to none, as is the staff. We have made EEC our go-to date night location for a few years now. it's intimate, quaint, historic, serene, and delicious. We love it so much we bring our friends here on occasion as a "we miss you" dinner treat. They also make my food to order as I am a Celiac. They work with any dietary restriction, and that is so hard to come by. You will NOT get a better upscale meal in our area than here. Absolutely my favorite.

There is an amazing backstory to this charming and lovingly created restaurant. The building was beautifully constructed in 1868 by a local businessman. There were various owners over the years until Lindsay's ( the current owner and chef) parents bought it in the 1980's. Lindsay grew up in this house. In the early 2000's her family sold it and moved elsewhere. The next owner let it become derelict and it was slated to be torn down. Lindsay decided she wanted to buy it back and learned one day - quite by serendipity - that it was going to be auctioned off. She bid and lost. She was devastated. A few months later she found out the city of Smyrna had bought it. She negotiated a purchase with them and for three years she and her husband poured everything they had into its restoration. It has been done so thoughtfully. She is an excellent chef too! Our food was delicious and as vegetarians who are gluten free, the conscious and creative menu supported our diet beautifully. She even spent time with us relating the story. Excellent service. Excellent food. Excellent ambiance. A love like this deserves support!!! This is a destination restaurant with charm, romance, elegance and delightful flavors!! You won't regret the drive.

What a lovely place! It was exactly what I was looking for, a quiet cafe with light lunch options. We enjoyed a small salad and French onion soup. Everything was fresh and delicious. We followed that with the roasted vegetable flatbread. It was also delicious. The cafe is quaint. The service was excellent. It was nice to meet for lunch in a non chain establishment.

Service is a joke , food cooked by however is working the kitchen , with reservations and they still lack service and human decency. The one restaurant that dislikes their customers.

Lindsay greeted us at the door and made us feel welcome. They menu was extensive, priced appropriately and delicious. I highly recommend this fine restaurant. Jim S New Jersey

Oh my gosh. I have been trying to go here. Finally got a friends schedule to link up and we had a great lunch yesterday. Loved the maple seared salmon. Friend had the crab cake sandwich, said it was very tasty. We both loved the crab dip. Plus loved that they had blood orange soda. I felt very fancy. Loved the different rooms. And took a walk outside. Waiting for it to be warmer to have an outdoor girls who lunch get together.

The ambiance is very quaint (great historical flare). The service is good, Karen took care of us, she suggested lots of choices that were very good. Karen was friendly and it was quiet so she had time to chat with us and make us comfortable. The food is delicious, lots of options and very reasonable prices, the food portions are huge for the price.

The only thing I'm disappointed about is that I didn't take pictures to share with you all! This place is such a gem. The ambiance was pleasant and the service was perfect! We were so happy with our brunch experience. The food and the drinks both hit the spot!

The ambience and small touches throughout the restaurant make you feel comfortable and that the theme was planned carefully. The appetizers and drinks were delicious and had nice presentation. The entrees sound tasty, but did not offer much flavor. We gave this restaurant a second chance because it is appealing, but the second time the entrees were still bland. Two visits at approximately $100 each visit...if we return it will only be for the appetizers.

This place is so cute and the food is delicious. Our waitresses have always been prompt and friends. Parking may be a bit of a challenge sometimes but definitely worth a short walk.

I really love this place because of the ambience and the food, but I have to say the service was less than up to par the last time we visited. The waitress seemed like she'd rather be somewhere else and seemed aggravated that we were even there. The restaurant closes at 2 PM on Sunday but at 1:25 when we asked for additional coffee we were told there was none left. I saw another waitress with a full pot, so I pointed that out to our waitress and she begrudgingly refilled our cups and gave us an additional cup for our driver per our request. I think she told us two or three times that the restaurant closed at 2 PM. This is the first time I got this type of service and every time prior to this the waitresses smiled and were pleasant. On this particular visit I couldn't wait to leave due to the vibe we got.

This is a really beautiful restaurant right off the main street in Smyrna. The indoor seating is within the main part of a beautifully kept Victorian style home and outdoor dining is available in the garden behind the house. The staff were super friendly and the ambiance was truly mesmerizing! The head chef even swung by and asked about the food and wanted to make sure that we were enjoying everything. I went there for brunch on Sunday (now currently open from late morning through the evening as opposed to previous hours) and sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather. I ordered the the deviled eggs while my partner ordered the burger with a ceasar salad on the side. The deviled eggs were really tasty and the Hollandaise sauce was one of the best I have had in a long time. My partner also enjoyed the burger and thought the thick slices of avocado and bacon were a nice compliment to the perfectly cooked medium patty. I highly recommend this restaurant and can't wait to swing back next time I am in the area.

This was a pleasant surprise for a Sunday brunch with my family. The room we were seated in only had 2 tables, but we were the only ones there at the time, and we were right by the fireplace. Everything in the decor was lovely, from the linens and tableware to the walls and carefully selected decor. The food was good. I had the stuffed French toast, and fried eggs. We also ordered a continental breakfast appetizer, it came with a scone that was just amazing. I also ordered a spiked coffee, it was very nice. My husband ordered a mimosa, that was quite pleasant as well. I plan to go again this weekend. I think the price was good for the experience we received.

Had a 6:45 reservation, did not get our food until 8 pm. One server for the whole place. There was a party of 12, plus the other tables. Maybe have an additional server. Not blaming our server. She did the best she could and maintained her cool.

I celebrated my 40th birthday here. The theme was mad hatters, yes from Alice and Wonderland. They did a beautiful job bringing my them to life. The food was delicious, and drinks were good also. The staff was friendly everyone really enjoyed themselves. Thank you for helping turn my vision into reality.

Truly a hidden gem for the Town of Smyrna. There are several,reasons to try this restaurant. First, it's an absolutely beautiful building, classical decor with colors out of a vibrant past. Second ... revisit the popular libations of the past from Old Fashions, to a legit whiskey sour. Last to mention but definitely not in sequence, the food is fantastic. Don't go if you're pressed for time. All entrees are made to order so it takes a while trust me it's worth the wait. I've had the mini meatloaf (not sure why they call it "mini", it's great ... Vicki has had the veggie lasagna and loves it. Last night I had the chicken parmigiana --- there are some "Italian specialty" restaurants that need to see the way it's done here. Treat yourself ... try this hidden gem, you won't be disappointed

Found this place on a whim while in Smyrna and very impressed! The ambience is cozy and historical. Beautiful decor and furniture. Amazing craftsmanship. The house is almost 200 years old and in amazing condition! And the food...DELICIOUS! I went for brunch and was very happy with the food. Drinks were great. The crab dip on the sample is is due for. I got the bacon avocado toast with scrapple, yum! The crepes and fruit were also good. Great service! Good prices I'm definitely coming back.

Amazing food - driving home after a week at the beach by far tastiest food (ample avocado appetizer, crab cake sandwich, huge chicken poblano tacos) & delightful cool drink (watermelon fizz highly recommended) we have had all week. Service was prompt and thoughtful. Lovely to eat outdoors in garden - well air conditioned indoors for those who prefer.

Excellent restaurant. Wonderful old building beautifully restored. Wonderful food- we each got a different entree and the were all wonderful. Marguerite was perfect. Excellent peach cobbler We were there early on weeknight and it wasn't busy. We look forward to returning in warmer weather to enjoy their outdoor space

Not advertised as requiring reservations. Pulled in and it seemed quiet and it was 90 minutes to closing time. The staff said they couldn't accommodate the two of us because they were expecting a party of 20 and they did not want to overwhelm the kitchen. I could not smell any food cooking. They said they usually had their last seating at 7:15 pm (it was 6:50pm). As we left, the staff said that if we wanted to try the restaurant another time, to call ahead of time " and they would try to accommodate us". It looks charming but the encounter has left me soured on trying them again.
