Beautiful backcountry hut, exceedingly accessible in the winter via a straightforward skin up a summer road. While the surrounding area doesn't offer a lot in the way of phenomenal ski terrain, the region is stunning and perfect for exploring by skinning. The site boasts two huts--one larger main cabin and a smaller adjacent sleeping hut. Both were well maintained, clean, and warm whenever I've visited.

The hut is well maintained by the ACC. Since it sleeps 20 people it's a great way to meet new folks. Standard hut etiquette, propane lights, fire for heat, outhouse nearby and they have an oven in addition to the normal gas stove (in case anyone is keen to bake things... I'd highly recommend brownies).

Stayed in here for a ski trip in 2001 and the memories are as fresh as the snow was. Returned for a hiking trip in 2019, and it’s just as I remember. Huge bunk beds which can sleep a dozen on each level, warm fireplace in the corner, and lots of amenities in the kitchen for cooking. It’s nestled in the valley of some of the most stunning mountains in the Rockies, and trust me, you’ll have hiking options to last you a lifetime from this starting point!

Amazing time we had. Went in on our backcountry skies. Technically easy to get in but a long challenge just the same. Gorgeous vistas and met the coolest families in there in the big cabin while we stayed in the small one. Magical spot.

Great Hut, comfortable mattress but very close together. Excellent kitchen, with lots of kitchen supplies available, and a very efficient community water system.

Loved this place! Great mattresses to sleep on, well stocked kitchen with stove and oven. Games, books, etc. Would love to come back during the summer.

Stunning backcountry hut with all the amenities you could ask for and more. All you need to take here is food. Access to amazing hikes, lake scenery and wildlife.

A very special place, if you can get in. Requires an ACC membership.
