Elizabeth Unique Hotel

"What are your first impressions? On approach, Elizabeth Unique Hotel looks like a private townhouse. The aura is contemporary and slick, with a dark, ground-level entry vestibule leading to a large, luminous reception lounge on the first level. Contemporary art pieces and installations stud the space, creating a fresh, modern vibe. Give us the backstory on this place.A privately owned hotel, Elizabeth Unique is part of the Elizabeth Lifestyle brand (there are other locations in Bologna and Milan). What makes this property actually unique is its collaboration with Galleria Russo, a contemporary art gallery whose top picks feature prominently throughout the hotel. Who stays here?Culture vultures with an eye for design. Tell us a little about the digs: What do they look and feel like?Rooms have high ceilings, parquet floors, and white marble bathrooms with waterfall showers. Our Deluxe was spacious enough; even more indulgent, though, would have been the Suite Spa with a sitting room, a private sauna, and a freestanding tub. How's the Wi-Fi?Free and fast. Give us the lowdown on the F&B.The impeccably stylish Bar Bacharach offers a full-service breakfast until 12:30 p.m every day; the spread includes avocado toast, artisanal breads, and ample vegan options. At other hours of the day, you'll see interesting sandwiches and wines handpicked by Luca Maroni, one of Italy's most prominent wine critics. How'd you find the service?Service is personable and efficient. On-site Culture Managers can organize any experience, particularly those with a focus on art. The property’s also got a swish new Tesla for airport pick-ups and transfers. What's the neighborhood like? You're in the very center of the center, just off the Via del Corso. Everything you want in Rome can be found here, and the hotel is within a comfortable walking distance of most cultural sites. One downside: The road can get loud on Fridays and Saturdays. Any standout features? The Bacharach has a lovely terrace overlooking a tiny street—it's as if you have Rome all to yourself. What's the bottom line? The location—central, yet on a quiet side street—is unrivaled." - Erica Firpo

Review: Elizabeth Unique Hotel, Rome - SilverKris

"Situated in the heart of Rome’s commercial district a short walk from the Spanish Steps, this hotel feels like a quiet urban oasis. Housed across three levels of a restored 17th-century palazzo, it blends classical architectural references with contemporary finishes: a recurring Roman-arch motif, muted brass accents and refined hanging light fixtures create a cohesive, elegant look in the guestrooms. Clean white corridors and staircases double as exhibition space for works from the local Galleria Russo, curated by an in-house cultural manager, and striking pieces by contemporary Italian artists also hang in the rooms. Service is highly attentive, with round‑the‑clock front‑desk support, an art historian available on call, and complimentary smartphones that remove roaming and data worries for guests." - David Plaisant

We loved our stay at Elizabeth Unique Hotel. The staff were exceptionally warm and attentive, i wei from personally escorting us to our room to setting up the room for evening mode and surprising us with afternoon desserts. The chef’s dishes were creative and delicious, and the whole hotel felt calm and intimate. Despite being in a central location, it was incredibly quiet. A perfect boutique stay in Rome, highly recommend.

We stayed 2 nights at the Elizabeth Unique hotel and it was exemplary in every way. We had a Junior Suite that was luxurious, spacious and offered everything we required. The room even had a personal sauna cabin. A complimentary bottle of wine was waiting for us and the fridge had a range of complimentary water, sodas and fruit juices. The separate sitting room had an electric wood effect fire and the bathroom was spacious with an excellent rainfall shower. The bed was large and comfortable. Breakfast could be taken any time from approximately 7am until 6.30pm with choices from the breakfast menu that were delicious - no mediocre buffet offerings here with congealed scrambled eggs like most hotels. Every staff member we interacted with was charming and extremely helpful, we couldn’t fault the service level. The location of the hotel is perfect almost on Via del Corso and we could easily stroll to the Spanish Steps, Fontana de Trevi and Plaza Navona. The hotel contributed significantly to an excellent visit to Rome and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again! A treasure!

We had a wonderful day at the Elizabeth unique hotel in Rome. The only feedback that I would provide to improve experiences for future guests would be directed towards one of the restaurant staff members, who was not the most friendly. Perhaps he had a few bad mornings. In addition, the room we had had a distinct odor which was dank and somewhat moldy. My husband was sneezing most nights, perhaps from the dust. We reported the issue and the staff acted immediately and vacuumed/clean the room. This helped but did not totally resolve the odor or allergies. Despite those issues, we had an extremely comfortable state Elizabeth unique hotel, and would highly recommend staying there.

This is my first review of a hotel. In fact it was the first time I have sent a separate email to a hotel about the stay. My daughter and I stayed 2-6 October in room 5. Wow what a fantastic experience from the moment we arrived. Luggage delivered to our room and provided with a map of Rome and advised to ask if we wanted any tips. Breakfast absolutely amazing, the best we’ve ever experienced and as we left handed a bag of muffins for later in the room. One day we ate breakfast at 1pm which the hotel cater for. Fridge filled with water, juice and fruit tea and replenished daily. Room spotlessly clean, unfortunately I got a little tan on the sheets and they were replaced that day. Location perfect, easy to find and minutes walk to everything you need. Honestly shocked at the previous review as we stayed there for a special treat and I said I’d now struggle to stay anywhere else, it really was so amazing. Special thanks to all the staff who are so pleasant.

We used Marriott Rewards for this upscale and luxury hotel. We were placed in the building across the ally on the first floor which was convenient to our coming and going but it certainly felt like we were placed in a broom closet. This was our last city of a two week trip in Italy. I booked the hotel months ago and was hoping for an upgrade especially with having lifetime platinum status. They were a bit icy when we checked in and not very warm. They were sure to let me know breakfast was not included because I used points and that has never happened to us before. I have always been given breakfast included regardless of of whether I’m using points or not. The room was too small for two people with two large suitcases and a roller board and duffle bag. They didn’t have a suitcase stand and it’s obvious why as there was no room to put it. It’s a good thing we were out and about most of the time. The hotel is located in a great area and is in walking proximity to most major attractions. The concierge was not helpful when we need help getting taxis or rides. I would not recommend this hotel and will not stay here again.

I don’t really understand the very high rating of this hotel. It’s in a good location, and being in a central shopping district and near tourist sites, and it certainly has a lovely boutique feel. But other than that, I don’t think it’s that special. The front desk staff is very polite, and recognized me by name throughout our stay. However, with only one or two people available at check in, we often had to wait for other guests to finish up their business, which meant sitting around for 15 to 20 minutes at a time. The room was very small, which is expected of a city hotel. There was not a lot of spaces in which to hang out outside of your room. One time we called down and asked for wine glasses and a corkscrew, and instead received two glasses of white wine and no corkscrew (€30, please). The second time we called down and ask for a corkscrew and got… nothing. It is certainly clean and comfortable, but not really worth more than three or four stars, especially for the price.

We arrived around 11am to the hotel. We were greeted with waters and comfortable seating area. Our room was 30 min from being ready so we were sent to the restaurant on site. The service was impeccable and the food perfect. Crepes for the kids and cheese and bread were delicious. The staff made it very obvious they wanted to take care of us. I didn’t catch anyone’s names but the two front desk gentleman were amazing and the staff at the restaurant is what takes this place above and beyond. The gentleman in the restaurant was amazingly hospitable. Not sure if it was because we had a suite but once our room was ready they have complimentary waters, coffee, wine, snacks in the room. Our room was perfectly located. Slightly noisy for a brief moment at night due to location to street below but after 10pm it became quiet. This hotel is perfect in every way. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here next time in Rome. Thank you again.

This is the best hotel I have ever stayed at. We were lucky enough to stay at the Elizabeth Unique for our trip to Rome. Right from the moment you enter the doors the staff were amazing. Everyone was so kind, friendly and accommodating. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean and they include a complimentary mini bar with waters and juices and snacks that are replaced daily. The bathroom was spacious with a lovely shower. I would like to give a special mention to the breakfast which was delicious every morning. I highly recommend the French toast which was delicious! We would like to give a special thank you to the breakfast team who were so friendly and helped my partner organise his proposal to me on the terrace! It was a very special trip and I can’t wait to return! 😃 - Jade and Gavin
