Beautiful campsite. Loved the dear and elk nearby but also loved the lush forest we got to camp in. We had site 52 which was nice and private. There was no staff available to talk to during the two days we were there which was concerning and the bathrooms were pretty dirty. Giving four stars because the bathrooms need to be deeply cleaned and the shower does not give you the time you paid for. My shower ended up being much shorter than I paid for.

Fantastic all-around Campground. Affordable, private, really nice sites, loads of amenities, Visitor Center on-site, trails all around, elk, parking, water, restrooms, showers, all good. Entry kiosk reps were all polite and professional.

One of my favourite campgrounds from our four week summer camping trip. We had a very nice private site surrounded by trees and a stream flowing behind us, close access to the toilets. The walk from the campsite to the amphitheatre/visitor center is absolutely spectacular and was actually one of my favourite short walks I found in the redwoods.

Really great campground down by the creek. The trees are covered in moss and so magical. The bathroom is clean and there was firewood for sale. It was raining super hard when we were there but we still loved it. Ideal for camper vans when it’s raining and maybe not tents. Site 55 was the best one we saw!

The best part of this campground, watching the elk. Most of the sites were clean and private. Avoid site #50, if you are in a longer RV or trailer as it was less than accommodating for our 19ft trailer. Most sites were "pull in" vs. "pull through" and some facing wrong direction to back in a trailer. There was one bathroom for the two loop campground and the men's had a horrible urine smell, all 3 days we were there. The two pay showers we used were not consistently hot nor did you get the 2 min offered per quarter. This campground was a good base for hikes in the woods, trips to the beach, and a hike at Fern Canyon. Just a tip If you pay to stay at the campground you do not need to pay the day use fee to get out to Fern Canyon.

This campground is majestic, hope to come back one day for a longer stay. You’re beneath the redwood trees and surrounded by fern.

So pretty! We had site 44, it was super private and felt like we were alone in the middle of the woods. We could hear the creek running behind us but we didn’t have direct access to it, some of the sites next to us did. Bathrooms clean and well kept. Showers available also but we didn’t use them. Lots of elk in the mornings in the field across, there’s some sites in the fields that would be nice to watch or take photos of them. We had such a nice stay here and would love to come back!
